You either like me or you don’t, I’m good either way…

For many years I’ve always gotten mixed responses of who I am as a person. Like the title of this topic says, it’s true. You either like me or you don’t… I’m good either way. I’m not gonna sit here and brag about how good of a “person” I am ’cause I just don’t do that. That’ll make me look like a narcissist which I am not that. I’ll let other people have their say of whether they think I’m a good person or not. People are always telling me that I’m a good person and there are people telling me I’m a bad person. That’s all fine and good ’cause I can’t please everyone, ya know? I guess I’m one of those people who is either loved or hated.

Seriously, though, I do my best to try to make people happy and stay positive but I know I’m not gonna make everybody happy. There will always be a few angry people who won’t be happy with me. In the past, I used to worry about pleasing everyone but these days, I don’t care anymore. There’s a lot of people who think I’m a jerk and a troublemaker, I’ve always been called that but at the same time I have people saying they really like me as a person as well.

Trying to please everyone will just ruin you. That’s why it is best to be yourself. Not worry about what everyone thinks of you.

If people don’t like how your political views and opinions are? Fuck ’em.

If people don’t like the things you do and the hobbies you have? Fuck ’em.

If people don’t like your tastes in music and movies? Fuck ’em.

If people don’t like who you are as a person… well, fuck them too.

You can be who you wanna be. I don’t care. I’m not judgemental of others at all. People can be who they want to be and people can do what they want to do. I’m not really judgemental of others political views ’cause I have friends and family members who are very liberal. Hell, I even have fans of mine who are very liberal as well so I’m cool with them. As long as they get along with me, I’ll get along with them, ya know?

I just laugh when the haters try to tell me that I’m a dislikeable person and they think everyone hates me. That’s all fine and good. People can believe what they want to believe. The fact is I do have a lot of supportive people who appreciate who I am which I am thankful for. Just be yourself and be authentic. People will catch on, trust me.

I just can’t please everyone and that’s all there is to it. Seems like it’s a crime to be yourself these days which people hate. That’s what ya gotta do. Keep being yourself and keep driving people crazy. Nobody is gonna change who I am even though they try.

I know I haven’t been posting on the blog much but I’ll try to post more…

I’ve been more busy in life. That’s pretty much why the blog has been slowing down some. I’ve got part-time work now so that explains some of it. I’ve also got a new PS4 system which I’ve been playing a lot of that.

I’ll try to post a lot more on the blog this week. Why has my blog slowed down? Pretty much, not much to say really. Not much on my mind lately. I only post on the blog when I have something to say. Something worth it.

I’ll try to post more tomorrow ’cause I got a lot to say about the election and Donald Trump. Mr. Trump finally did something that I disagree with for once which was endorse Paul Ryan and John McCain and I’ll rant about that in another post. Maybe I’ll write about it tonight or tomorrow.

Truth is, I’ve been losing interest in blogging. I’ve been writing most of my thoughts on facebook & twitter ’cause the audience is bigger but I’ll try to blog here more.

Will be getting a “Playstation 4” this week… can’t wait!

For the past couple of weeks now, I’ve been saving for a Playstation 4. I should have the full cash ready this week and I’m planning to pick one up this weekend. I’ll be getting one at Best Buy along with a few other games to go along with it.

What other games that I’m planning to get with it? Well, “Batman: Arkham Knight” for sure. LIke I said before, I’m a huge fan of all the “Batman: Arkham” games… it’s just that I haven’t played the new one yet and that’s why I’m getting the PS4. I want to play the final “Batman: Arkham” game which is “Batman: Arkham Knight”.

I will also get a few other games ’cause I’ll have plenty of cash saved up. There’s too many games out for the PS4 that I want to play but I’m also interested in “7 Days To Die”, “Until Dawn” and “No Man’s Sky”.

Some of you may ask, am I working again? I don’t like putting my personal life online so lets just say that I am helping somebody out with something. That’s all I can say.

Can’t wait to get the PS4. I’ve had the PS3 for a good several years and honestly, I’m kind of getting tired of the thing. Time for a new gaming console and yes, I’m still a pretty big video gamer. I’ve always loved video games ever since I was a child. I grew up playing video games. I’ll never outgrow it.

Trying to become a great guitar player, takes patience and dedication…

I get a lot of nice compliments on my guitar playing. Some people think I’m a good guitar player but in my mind, I feel like I got a lot of work to do. I feel like I’m an okay guitar player now but still got a lot of improvement to do.

Is my goal in guitar is to become a guitar god or a virtuoso? Admittedly, yes. That is my goal. I mean that’s part of why I picked up the guitar to begin with ’cause I wanted to play like my three main guitar heroes: Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and Joe Satriani. I like so many guitarists but those three are my main inspirations.

Yeah, someday I want to play notes really fast and shred. I want to have technical ability and be able to improvise well. I’m working on it but slowly learning and trying to get there. I know a lot about music theory now ’cause I’ve been studying a lot of that.

It really does take a long time to get good at guitar. Again, some people think I’m good at guitar but I say, not really. I do want to become one of the greats someday and get noticed for my guitar playing but gotta have patience.

No matter how good at guitar playing I’ll be, I’ll always be learning new things.

I love guitar playing and always want to get better. I don’t want to work with guitar teachers ’cause I prefer to find my own visions and my own style in guitar playing. I do want to be the best I can be, though.

Why I’m not worried about becoming a rock star…

In this day and age, there are too many unsigned and local musicians want to move forward to a bigger career in music. Hoping to get signed to a label whether a small indie label or a major label. All bands & solo artists want to move forward and keep achieving their dreams to try and get noticed. They all want to make the big time. Too many musicians want it these days. They all dream of touring the country, playing the big theaters & arenas, releasing albums and making music videos… all that stuff.

All that is fine and good but I’m not that worried about becoming a big music artist. I used to have that dream but you gotta learn to get out of your delusions and try to stay humble.

Thing is, I just love writing songs and performing covers. I’m a musician, guitar player and singer. That’s all I am pretty much. Even though I have no plans in having a big music career, I still love performing on the stage, though. I’ll just continue to perform live locally ’cause I really do love performing myself. Even though I haven’t performed live in ages, I know I don’t gig much but I want to get back into it soon hopefully.

I just don’t take myself so serious and don’t want to get ahead of myself. Being a musician is who I am. I just play music for the love of it

Would I ever sign a record deal if the opportunity ever comes up somehow? Not sure. Depends on the label. I would only do it if the label is right for me ’cause I’m not gonna sign everything that comes my way, ya know? When you get a contract from a label, ya gotta read it and learn about the label before signing or else you’ll get screwed. If I were to sign to a label someday, it wouldn’t be for the money at all but to continue to make music and get more listeners. If a label signing doesn’t happen to me at all, I’m okay with that too. I’m just fine with making music for the internet.

With that being said, I don’t care to become famous or to make it. I’m fine with just playing music to just a few people or to myself. I’m good either way.

I think fame is pretty lame to begin with. I wouldn’t want it. I wouldn’t want the press bothering me and don’t want to deal with all the crazy stuff in the industry. It’s a tough industry, it really is. On top of that, I don’t like the way record labels are going these days.

I’m flattered that people want to see me move forward and get bigger but I will continue to make music for you all for sure.

Happy birthday, Tom Cruise!

TomCruise

Happy birthday, Tom Cruise. Love him or hate him all you want to but you can’t deny that he’s been in too many good movies. He’s a successful actor whether you like him or not. This man is talented.

Yeah, Tom Cruise definitely has a lot of haters due to all that stuff with Scientology but ya know, the haters will never admit that they watch his movies and they enjoy ’em too.

I mean, you gotta be fucking crazy if you’ve never seen a Tom Cruise movie in your life. Everybody in America should have seen at least a few movies of his.

I’ve always liked and admired Tom Cruise. I don’t care about his Scientology. I care about the entertainment he gives us. Love him or hate him, the man worked his ass off to get where he is today and he takes his work very seriously. I think this guy deserves more respect ’cause I don’t like the way he’s treated in the industry. The industry should leave his personal life and Scientology out of things. Gossip blogs wants to obsess with his personal life and his relationships with women but that stuff don’t matter to me. I just think he’s a good actor and I respect the hell out of him for his work ethic ’cause he is one of the hardest working actors in Hollywood.

Most actors out there are horrible at picking films but Tom is really good at it. He’s made many blockbusters that we all know and love. Again, you may not like Tom Cruise but I’m sure you’ve seen some of his movies and like ’em. Tom is one of my favorite actors, he always has been. I grew up watching his films.

Some of my favorites he’s been in are (in no particular order):

Top Gun
Risky Business
Rain Man
The Outsiders
The Mission Impossible series (I love them all)
Legend
Eyes Wide Shut
Collateral
Valkyrie
Minority Report

Staying dedicated as a musician is important which a lot of musicians aren’t these days…

It’s nice to see that some people out there notice my dedication to play music and playing guitar. It’s really awesome to hear that people notice my love for music. It’s an important thing to stay dedicated to playing guitar and singing. I know too many musicians out there who aren’t all that dedicated to playing their music at all. Many of them are too lazy to practice. Many of them are too lazy to get better and learn new things. I can go on all day about this. A lot of musicians out there are just too lazy to pick up and play.

Me? I’m always playing. I can play for hours and never get bored of it. I’m always learning new things and trying to hone my talent. In other words, trying to hone my skills which is what I’ve been working on. Trying to improve my guitar playing chops. Take my guitar playing to the next level. Practising and dedication is extremely important. It’s very rare ’cause people don’t really care.

It’s nice to see that people do notice that I’ve been getting better. Playing guitar is pretty much all I do. Whenever I want a break from guitar playing, I’ll just do my other hobbies like read a book, watch a movie or play video games.

If you practice a lot and stay dedicated, people will notice it. You’ll start to get compliments from other people about it. You’ll get new fans this way.

I just love making music ’cause it’s what I do. It’s what I’m all about. It’s amazing that there are still too many musicians who don’t stay “dedicated”. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because they don’t have enough confidence in themselves. That could be it. A lot of musicians are still scared to play music publicly but I’m not. I’m not one of those musicians who go around acting like I’m so great ’cause I know there are many others out there who play better than me.

I’m just a guy that loves music ’cause it’s in my blood. Always has been.

When you get a lot of haters and people criticizing you, this is probably why…

13417635_631436317009169_2413444503949623641_n

Ya know something. It bothers me when people try to fit in with the crowd and try to be like others. They try to have similar tastes and similar opinions like similar tastes in music, similar political views and the same opinions in other things. Everybody wants to feel like they want to fit in ’cause that’s how they make their friends and feel special with others.

When you’re different than everyone else, that’s when you get a lot of haters and people criticizing you. I’ve dealt with this my entire life. Last thing I want to do is try to fit in with everyone else and be like others. I like to be different and be myself. Yet, over the years… some people seem to have a problem with that. I like to be honest and real with myself. Some people seem to have a problem with me not fitting with others but that’s okay.

It is funny how this world works. When someone finds you unique and different than others, you get criticized, bullied and hated on. People will no longer welcome you to their group of friends ’cause you’re unique. Instead of being proud of your uniqueness, they have to hate and shit on you.

Yeah, so I like to have different views in politics. I like to have different taste in music. I like whatever movies and music I want to. If my opinion is different than someone else’s, that makes me a bad person? I’ve dealt with this crap for years. People will be intimidated and jealous of you ’cause you’re different than everyone one. Does being different make you a bad person? No. It actually make you a strong and powerful person. It actually makes you better than everyone else ’cause you’re not afraid to be yourself when everyone else is.

That’s probably why you have a hard time getting along with some people ’cause you’re different. It’s not your attitude, it’s not the way you act. It’s who you are. People can’t take that you’re different and it’s pissing people off is what it is. Just be yourself and SCREW everyone.

I can live without a lot of things but music is not one of them..

13407009_480013878856052_3351023405935874201_n

Music is my life. It’s my blood. Whether I listen to other people’s music or play my own music as a musician, music is pretty much all I want to do in life, ya know? It is pretty much all I care about these days. I don’t regret it and don’t feel guilty for it at all. It’s what I do. It’s what I’m here for. I don’t know what I’ll be like if music wasn’t here. I’ve been a music lover ever since I was a young child. A lifelong music fan.

I picked up the guitar at a late age, though. I picked the guitar when I was 18 years old. I’m 39 now so that means I’ve been playing guitar for a little over 20 years now and it’s hard to believe it’s been that long. When I first picked up the guitar at 18, I’ve been wanting to become a guitar player long before that. It’s just that it was hard to get guitar lessons back then. Then I saw a guy at a bookstore who was selling guitar books so I bought a few of them even though I didn’t have a guitar yet. The bookstore owner ended up saying that he played guitar too so I started going to the bookstore like once a week so he can teach me to play. When I first started playing guitar, I used to be shit. Didn’t know what I was doing back then. It really does take years to get good at guitar.

I’m still not all that great but I am proud of how far I’ve become. I feel I’ve improved as a guitarist a little bit but still got a lot more work to do, though. I have a lot of passion for music. I love supporting bands & artists. I love reading about music. I love watching documentaries about bands & artists. I love supporting local music too. Lifelong music fan.

A lot of people has criticized my obsession with music over the years, a lot of people would be like, “All you think about is music” but I don’t care. Music has helped me become the strong and confident person that I am. Music is what keeps me living and it’s what makes me happy. I gotta be around music always.
