Report: Guitar Hero finally speaks out on use of Kurt Cobain singing songs by other artists…

After Courtney, the surviving members of Nirvana and now Bon Jovi bashing the use of Kurt Cobain in Guitar Hero 5, the makers of Guitar Hero finally speaks out. The Guitar Hero CEO, Dan Rosensweig tells NME.com, that Courtney Love gave Activision the permission the rights so they can use Kurt Cobain however they wanted.

Guitar Hero signed Courtney Love a contract, they paid her for these rights, so this now means this is Activision right to have Kurt sing songs by other artists.

He also says the company love the artists they work with, they want to hear from them if they have complaints and they’ll be glad to fix things if music artists don’t like what they see in the games.

NME reports:

There you see, Courtney, all you had to do was to be nice and profesional to Activision instead of being a little child on your damn Twitter page.

I’m beggining to agree that she threatened to sue them for publicity and for more money since she’s always getting sued for other things. She’s a bitch and always has been.

I stopped following her Twitter page because she is pretty fuckin’ annoying. How many hours does she spend on the computer everytime? She’s on Twitter all the time. Loser bitch.

I still disagree with Guitar Hero having Cobain sing other people’s songs though, that isn’t right. If Guitar Hero loves Nirvana so much, why don’t they give them their own game like Metallica and Aerosmith? That would have been better I think.

Report: Even Bon Jovi hates the idea of his song being sung by someone else in “Guitar Hero 5″…

Think Bon Jovi himself would like the idea of his songs being sung by someone else? Think again. Jovi is totally with Courtney, Dave, and Krist 100%. He’s on their side and supporting their battle against Activision.

Activision is in trouble.

Thought: “Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood”, I finally beat the game tonight…

Tonight I just finished the game, “Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood” and wanted to review it a little bit.

The game is about two brothers, Thomas and Ray McCall who at first go through an American Civil War. After the war, they meet some woman named Marissa, and she is kidnapped by a villain named Barnsby, and the two brothers must go rescue her.

The game is a strictly Western story. Pretty much the same stuff you read in Western novels and see in classic Western films. It’s all there…civil war, battling against other Indians, cowboys, soldiers, you go through a ghost town, etc. You even do cowboy dueling.

The game is still kind of simple even when it’s in the difficult level, but the game is a blast. I had a great time playing it.

There’s another Western game coming out for the PS3 called, “Red Dead Redemption”, only thing though it’s not a first person shooter, it’s supposed to be like Grand Theft Auto. I might get “Red Dead Redemption” too but I’m going to read some reviews of the game first before I make my decision.

Yes, finally finished, “Call of Juarez”.

I’ll be able to start, “Ghostbusters: The Video Game” tomorrow which that is a game I never started yet ever since I bought it. Looking forward to starting “Ghostbusters”. I’m sure that game will be a lot of fun too.

Thought: I am angry at Activision too, aw man, they totally ruined Kurt, big time…

The reason Courtney Love, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic is not happy about the use of Kurt Cobain for “Guitar Hero 5”, is not that they put him in the game without their permission. Courtney agreed to put Kurt in the game in the first place, she gave them permission. She gave them permission for Kurt to sing Nirvana songs for the game. She didn’t give them permission to use Kurt to sing songs by other artists.

This is why Courtney, Dave, and Krist are pissed off and on a warpath against Activision about it.

I totally agree with it. It’s totally embarrasing and sickening to have Kurt singing songs by other artists like Bon Jovi, Billy Idol, etc. I’m like, “What the hell is Activision thinking? The company are a bunch of fucking morons”. This is humiliating for Nirvana fans.

I am so glad not getting the game. I too am upset and dissapointed with Activision, and because of this, I will no longer by anymore future released Guitar Hero games.

I will still keep Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and Guitar Hero: Metallica, of course, but I will no longer support Activision. They might ruin the upcoming Van Halen game as well.

This is so wrong having Kurt Cobain, singing songs by other artists, that is not Nirvana. So now you see why they are upset. I can’t blame ’em.

See the video below, this is terrible.

Report: Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic also upset at Kurt Cobain use for “Guitar Hero 5″…

Well, it looks like Courtney Love is not the only one in the music industry upset at Activision with the use of Kurt Cobain for “Guitar Hero 5”. It looks like Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, the surviving band members of Nirvana, are pretty pissed too.

They aren’t really upset at Kurt Cobain being used for the game, however, they are just pissed that he could be played by other artists by unlocking a secret of the game.

Wow. Activision better do something fast or they’ll be battling in court with Courtney, Dave, and Krist all at the same time!

I’m glad I’m not getting the game now!

Report: Courtney Love planning to sue Activision for use of Kurt Cobain in “Guitar Hero 5″…

Courtney Love is pissed that Activision put Kurt Cobain in “Guitar Hero 5” and made him look completely different. As you see Kurt Cobain in the picture in this link, he’s much uglier and creepier.

Courtney rants about Guitar Hero franchise on her Twitter page, pretty harsh rants. If you’re brave enough to read that negativity like I can and don’t take it seriously, you’d find it entertaining.

I am kind of losing interest in the Guitar Hero franchise myself. It started out kind of cool…but it is kind of ruining the music industry.

I for one agree with Courtney that Activision didn’t even get Kurt right. If you see Nirvana’s earlier performances of “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, Kurt doesn’t look up to the mic and his hair is almost always covered his face when he plays guitar. Plus, when Kurt played live on stage, he doesn’t stand there like a zombie like Guitar Hero did. Kurt moved around on stage like crazy.

This is the reason it made me not want to get “Guitar Hero 5” and changed my mind about getting the game.

I hope Courtney wins this suit, I’m actually glad she’s doing this. Guitar Hero ruined Kurt, he’s gotta be rolling in his grave.

Brock buys “Batman: Arkham Asylum”…

So I picked up “Batman: Arkham Asylum” earlier this week from Best Buy. Didn’t play it yet. I’m not going to until I finish the few other games I’m still working on.

Like I said before, I still need to finish, “Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood”, after I complete that game, I will move on to “Ghostbusters”. After “Ghostbusters”, then I will move on to the new “Batman” game and hopefully finish the rest of “Resident Evil 5”.

Thing is I don’t sit around and play videogames for 10 hours straight like most video gamers do. At least a couple of hours a day of video gaming is good enough for me.

Report: Kurt Cobain added as a character in Guitar Hero 5…

Shirley Manson and Johnny Cash will be as characters in “Guitar Hero 5”, now Kurt Cobain will be playable. Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl won’t be feautured, just Kurt alone, I guess.

More on it here:

They need to add Dave Mustaine as a playable character, also adding Carlos Santana and Tom Petty as characters would also be totally cool.

Batman: Arkham Asylum and Wolfenstein games out in stores now…

So “Batman: Arkham Asylum” and “Wolfenstein” both came out in video game stores everywhere this week. I want to buy both video games, but will have to buy one at a time. Of course, I will buy “Batman” first this week, then I will buy “Wolfenstein” next paycheck after.

I still haven’t beaten “Residen Evil 5”, “Ghostbusters”, and “Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood” yet. Been doing other things besides video games lately.

Collecting video games is a favorite hobby of mine and I think it’s good to get all the games you want right away, and just beat one at a time.

I never played “Ghostbusters” yet, still trying to beat, “Call of Juarez” the western first person shooter. After I beat “Juarez”, I plan to start “Ghostbusters” next, then try to finish the rest of “Resident Evil 5”.

Videogaming is a cool way to relax. Screw the people that say video gaming isn’t good for you, ’cause I totally disagree with it!
