The former Talking Heads frontman, David Byrne, speaks out about the U2 world stadium tour that the Irish Rock band is currently doing.
David explains that all them huge stadium shows have to be the most expensive concerts ever with trucks bringing equipment in, band setup, soundcheck, stagelight settings, etc. Think how all that would cost. Then he says that all that work and spending is a bit overkill, when there are starving kids in Africa.

While I am a fan of U2, I’m going to have to agree with Mr. Byrne here. Sorry, Bono…if Bono really was serious about saving the world, and saving the hunger for the children in Africa as he claims, he would be spending his band’s money on all that, not for the stadium gigs.
The children in Africa are probably wondering why Bono is over here wasting money touring when he should be over there buying them food. Nope. Doesn’t happen.
Come on Bono, “Get on your boots” and get off your ego.
