Cool Photo: New Harry Potter and “The Deathly Hollows part 2” poster is out!

Isn’t that friggin badass? I love it! That is one of the best movie posters I’ve seen in a while! I would love to buy that poster and hang it up in here.

Speaking of “The Deathly Hollows”, I’ve finally finished reading the book. It was amazing, so this movie is going to be amazing as well. I will write more about the book later.

Harry Potter is great but the books are better than the movies, of course.

So I’ve just seen, Harry Potter, “The Deathly Hollows” today, but…

…I’m not going to give this film a detailed review until I’ve seen the rest of it. I need to see, “Deathly Hollows part II”, then I’ll give it a review. I had no problem following the story lines from Harry Potter 1-6, but the “Deathly Hollows” was a bit confusing and difficult to follow. The writing was that intelligent. Yes, the film was amazing and impressive, of course. The script is mysterious, has a lot of questions that needs answered. I think the answers to those questions will be answered in “Deathly Hollows” part II, and now that you think about it, I understand why they split the movie in two parts. It isn’t about money, it isn’t about people wanting more Harry Potter films. They wanted to get people thinking with the script, so they split it in two.

The movie was pretty intense. It was dark, violent and had bloody scenes actually. The ending to “Deathly Hollows part I” is so controversial and shocking, that it left the audience stunned and it got them talking when the credits started rolling. So yeah, things are going to get interesting in “Part II”.

I don’t want to give away too much ’cause there are surprises and twists in the film. The “Deathly Hollows” leaves right off from the “Half Blood Prince” still following the story of Lord Voldermort. Again, it was a good movie, it’s just a hard film to review since the movie is not even finished yet.

Sometime in the future, I think I’m going to talk about “Deathly Hollows” plot in a videoblog. I won’t make the videoblog this soon, I will wait a while, of course, I will make the videoblog with a spoiler warning. I think I’m going to see it again, maybe next week or something. Maybe get a better understanding of the storyline and do some research on it.

I am officially a Harry Potter nerd!!!

Well I finished watching, Harry Potter’s 6th film, “The Half Blood Prince” today. I watched all 6 Harry Potter films just in time before tomorrow’s “Deathly Hollow’s” release date. I’m glad I watched the six films in order ’cause they tell the story in order. I’m very impressed with the movies. The stories are great. I love the action and the special effects. It’s really strange to me why these movies are popular with kids because the movies are too dark and violent for them to see, in my opinion. The films even got pretty bloody at times too. I watched these films in HD with surround sound and I’m just blown away by the special effects and sounds of these movies.

As far as the story goes, it’s not just some kid wanting to become a wizard. We have a boy who’s parents been murdered by Lord Voldermort who is the main villain that is played by Ralph Fiennes. So Harry Potter is looking to be trained to be a wizard to seek revenge for the murder of his parents. As you watch these films, you would see that these films aren’t really about Harry Potter. They mostly focus on the main villain, Lord Voldermort. The series showed how Voldermort became evil and all that. I don’t want to talk about the plots to avoid spoilers for you all, just talk about a little bit. They kept Voldermort mysterious throughout most of the series and we’ll see more of him in “Deathly Hollows” film.

I’m going to start reading the Harry Potter books soon after I finish reading the Keith Richards book I’m reading right now. The Harry Potter series are really great. I guess you can say the series is definitely better than Stephenie Myers, “Twilight”. Really looking forward to seeing, “Deathly Hollows” tomorrow as I’m going on opening day, hopefully I can get in without being sold out. There will be a long line of Harry Potter fanatics at the theaters, indeed!

Brock is enjoying Harry Potter more and more…

Yes, I’ll admit it. J.K. Rowling is a genius storyteller. The reason the blog has been slow this weekend is because I’ve been trying to catch up watching the Harry Potter films before Friday’s “Deathly Hollows” release. So far, I have watched the first three Harry Potter films: “The Sorcerer’s Stone”, “Chamber of Secrets” and “Prisoner of Azkaban”. So far, I’m loving them all. The movies are fun and the storytelling is great. Plus, the action and special effects are way cool.

I’m only going to watch one Harry Potter film tonight, which will be, “Goblet of Fire”. I’m only watching one Harry Potter film ’cause later tonight, I need to catch up watching “The Walking Dead” series ’cause AMC will be re-airing the first two episodes tonight. I already saw the first episode of “The Walking Dead” online, but the internet don’t have the second episode, so I’ll watch it on TV tonight before the new third episode.

I’ve worked my day job for a full 7 day straight in one week, so my boss gave me the weekend off to rest up before another busy week next week. So I’m just relaxing this weekend by watching movies/some TV at night, playing guitar, and doing some reading. Been working out at the gym most of the week too. Today is my day off of workouts, need to have a few of those every week.

Back to Harry Potter, it’s interesting how much I go from hating a franchise to loving it. I guess Harry Potter grew on me.

Catching up with Harry Potter before “Deathly Hallows” release…

So I became officially interested in seeing the upcoming new Harry Potter film, “The Deathly Hallows” which is about to hit theaters next Friday. Yes, I will definitely go see it. However, I’m trying to catch up with the first six Harry Potter films on DVD. I just watched the first one, “The Sorcerer’s Stone” earlier tonight and it was quite good, I actually liked it. I will watch “Chamber of Secrets” the second one tomorrow night.

I know, I know. I used to bash J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter in my blog, in the past, but now I feel kind of bad for that, ’cause Harry Potter, is actually kind of cool. I’m late getting into the series. After I see all the movies, I’ll read all the books.

It’s just that when I saw the Harry Potter theme park at Universal and seen the “Deathly Hallows” trailer, that’s what made me become interested with Harry Potter. Don’t know what it is. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the movies. I’m going to try and watch all of them before, “Deathly Hallows” release, next Friday.

Report: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part 1” will only be shown in 2D…

Woah, even I’m kind of shocked by this announcement! Warner Bros. announced that they will only be showing the new Harry Potter film, “The Deathly Hollows” in 2D only for now. The reason is, they were unable to convert the film to 3D to be at the best quality. They still plan to release, “Deathly Hollows 2” in 2D and 3D, though. Read Warner Bros. statement, here.

I’m not a Harry Potter fan, but I honestly find, “The Deathly Hollows” really interesting to me. The film actually looks really great, yes, I said that. I don’t know if I’ll see it in theater or not ’cause I would need to watch the earlier Harry Potter films so I can catch up with the story. Honestly, I’ve never read a Harry Potter book or seen a single movie. Just wasn’t interested in this whole Wizard thing, but “Deathly Hollows” kind of got me intrigued.

Report: Daniel Radcliffe finally gets bored of “Harry Potter” to star in the “Western Front” remake…

Daniel Radcliffe has worked on Harry Potter for so long that he finally wants to work on other things. Radcliffe is set to play a role in the upcoming, “All Quiet on the Western Front” remake, which the original was made in 1930.

More on it here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment_and_arts/10387829.stm

It’s about time! I think Daniel is capable of doing other things besides Harry Potter. He will be a successful actor doing other things. I’m no Harry Potter fan at all, but I think Daniel will have a good career ahead of him since Harry Potter made him famous.

Thought: Why I think “Twilight” is better than “Harry Potter”…

So, “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” will be out this week. Will I go see it?

No.

Why? Not only that I think that Harry Potter is the most overrated novel/movie franchise in the history of entertainment, I just think the stories don’t do anything to me, they don’t grab my attention, and I don’t see anything special about ’em. The truth is,  I just can’t get into this whole Wizard thing. It’s not really my type of storytelling

I like stories that are much more darker, which is one reason why I love the “Twilight” series more.

Both Harry Potter and Twilight have a few things in common. Both franchises were created by women, J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer. Both have a huge amount of mainstream popularity. Both have a huge following of tweeny girls mostly.

As you can see, I’m no Harry Potter fan at all. I find J.K.’s stories boring. Stephenie makes her “Twilight” series more entertaining.

What is so entertaining about a couple of children becoming wizards to learn magic and go on these silly adventures that mean nothing?

I think “Twilight” is better stuff, because Stephenie make her storytelling more insightful and more detailed than J.K. Rowling’s. The “Twilight” series has more stories to tell than just a girl falling in love with a vamp. The “Twilight” series is easy targeted, the series get made fun of because of it’s tween content…when the funny thing is, “Harry Potter” is pretty much the same exact thing.

I have no interest in Harry Potter whatsoever. Tried reading the first book, couldn’t get into it. Tried seeing the first couple of movies, didn’t like ’em.

When Stephenie Meyer brought us, “Twilight”, I was impressed that Stephenie is trying to compete with J.K. The truth is, “Twilight” is bigger and more successful than “Harry Potter”.

Just wait until “Twilight: New Moon” comes out in theaters, it will destroy, “Half Blood Prince” in the box office.

Stephenie Meyer likes to make her stories more realistic and fun as if they were happening for real. Stephenie likes to explain in detail how people become vampires and werewolves, while Harry Potter doesn’t explain anything.

J.K. is overrated, pure and simple. I admire Stephenie’s work immensely. Those who make fun of Stephenie’s work because of her teen vampire views is a stupid idiot, in my opinion. I admire Stephenie’s way of trying to bring horror fiction for young kids. Of course, both Stephenie and J.K.’s work can be for people off all ages, not just for teen girls.

Sure, I get made fun of for liking the “Twilight” series, but I don’t care what anyone thinks. I enjoy whatever grabs my attention no matter what age audience the stories are aimed at.

Report: J.K. Rowling vs. Steven Vander Ark/RDR Books feud to continue…

J.K. Rowling may have won the rights over the Harry Potter Lexicon lawsuit against Steven Vander Ark and RDR Books, but it seems as though Steven and RDR aren’t backing down.

They’re planning an appeal on the judge’s decision sometime this week. They are hoping that if the “Harry Potter Lexicon” gets edited, it’ll get published that way without violating copyrights.

More on it here:

It’s cool that they are fighting back at this greedy bitch. Keep up the good fight Steven and RDR! Yeah!

BREAKING NEWS: J.K. Rowling wins copyright infringement lawsuit against Steven Vander Ark’s “Harry Potter Lexicon” encyclopedia…

Die hard Harry Potter fan Steven Vander Ark had planned to publish a Harry Potter encyclopedia titled the “Harry Potter Lexicon”. She filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Steven Vander Ark and the RDR Books company who planned to publish it.

The judge made a final decision in court today that J.K. Rowling has successfully proven how publishing the encylopedia without her permission would harm her rights. The judge permanently blocked publication of the encyclopedia and awarded Warner Bros. studios the makers of the Harry Potter films $6,750 in damages.

The Associated Press reports:

It’s no surprise to me that she was going to win it. I already predicted it. She must have good lawyers that she was getting laid with to get out of this one.

Words of advice to Steven Vander Ark, tell her to fuck off and don’t support Harry Potter anymore.
