Having Margot Robbie play Harley Quinn in “Joker 2” musical movie wouldn’t make sense anyways, I love the idea of Lady Gaga playing that character instead, though…

Well, not only that “Joker 2” is now moving forward with Todd Phillips returning to direct and Joaquin Phoenix returning to star, it’s been announced that Lady Gaga… the mega pop star may be playing Harley Quinn. Ya know, Harley Quinn, the popular Batman villain who plays Joker’s lover and sidekick. Not only that Lady Gaga is allegedly in talks to star as Harley Quinn, Joker 2 script is written as a movie musical.

When that news was announced, Batman fans in social media seems to be pretty outraged by that… Lady Gaga possibly starring and Joker turning into a musical… they don’t seem to like that idea. I’m seeing a lot of Batman fans crying about Margot Robbie not getting the Harley Quinn role for “Joker 2”.

Well like the title of this post says, it wouldn’t make sense to have Margot Robbie play Harley Quinn in the Joker sequel anyway given that both “Joker” and “Suicide Squad” times are different. Margot’s Harley in “Suicide Squad” was taken place in our current time and Phoenix’s “Joker” was taken place in the early 80’s. Doing a little reading Margot’s Harley was 26 years old in the Suicide Squad movies so that means in the early 1980’s, Margot’s version of Harley in “Suicide Squad” wasn’t even born yet so she’s out. It wouldn’t make sense to have Margot play Harley in “Joker 2” given the differences of time.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Margot Robbie as Harley myself but it’s time to give someone else a chance to play that character. I think Lady Gaga would be great. Her playing the role would raise “eyebrows” by some but I think Gaga would knock it out of the park and she would do great. I think Gaga would make all Harley fans happy. I think Gaga has what it takes to play this psycho mad girl with all kinds of problems.

I also love the idea of “Joker 2” turning into a musical movie… kind of in the style of “Rocky Horror”, “Cats”, “West Side Story” and “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Will Joaquin Phoenix be singing songs in “Joker 2”? Probably, for sure ’cause remember, Joaquin is a singer himself. He did that Johnny Cash movie, “Walk the Line”, remember that.

Even though Joker 2 is changing directions a little bit, Joker will still be the murderous madman and psycho. Plot for “Joker 2” is unknown as of this time but I think the story of Joker becoming the murderer will go even further and possibly start a gang like in the comics. I doubt Batman will be re-introduced again in this series but I’m sure the Bruce Wayne story will continue.

People may be complaining early but “trust”. I think “Joker 2” will be even better and bigger than the first. I think people will come around once “first look” photos and “trailers” start coming out. Glad it’s officially happening, though.

Yup, I’m that big of a Batman fan, y’all. My Batman collection is bigger than this though. I have more Batman animated movies, graphic novels and some Batman comics.

I’m planning to re-watch “The Batman” again but on BluRay. Was gonna re-watch it on HBO Max but I ended up getting the film on BluRay instead so I can complete my Batman movie collection.

I got the two Keaton movies and the two Schumacher films in one set. Planning to re-watch those at some point too.

I love Batman. Just love the character and the stories.

“The Batman” sequel greenlighted w/ Matt Reeves returning to direct and Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz returning to star…

Well it was announced that “The Batman 2” has been officially greenlighted. Matt Reeves has been signed to return to direct and I’m sure he’ll help write the screenplay as well. Robert Pattinson is of course set to reprise his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Zoe Kravitz is set to return as Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

I’m sure other characters and actors from the first Batman movie will be returning as well. Yes, of course, I definitely think Colin Farrell will return as the Penguin once again. I’m sure Paul Dano will come back as Riddler probably. Andy Serkis as Alfred, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon… they all will come back except for John Turturro as Carmine Falcone… he’s the only character that can’t come back but don’t want to give spoilers as to what happened to him.

What will the title be for the sequel? Will they just simply title it “The Batman 2”??? Or will they end up giving it a subtitle? I think they should give it a subtitle and not give it a number.

Now lets talk about some potential storylines and possible villains. I would like them to do something that they’ve never done before. They shouldn’t repeat storylines from the earlier Batman movies. For example, it be interesting if “The Batman 2” would do their own version of League of Assassins storyline like with Ra’s Al Ghul, Talia and the Lazarus Pit and all that stuff but that was already done in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy.

“The Batman 2” will probably start where the first one will leave off so obviously the Riddler and Penguin will return and I’m sure new villains will start appearing too. We could probably get Harvey Dent/Two Face again but the Two/Face character was already done in earlier movies, a couple of times actually. Maybe a Matt Reeves version of Two Face would be cooler and “scarier”, maybe he should give it a go, I don’t know.

I think the Joker should return, though… maybe not as a leading villain but as a smaller role or maybe as another cameo. I think they would bring back Barry Keoghan as the Joker again too but in what way? We’ll see.

There are plenty of other Batman villains from the comics and graphic novels that haven’t been used yet for the big screen, though…. villains like Clayface, Killer Croc, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Blackmask, Hush, Dr. Hugo Strange, The Court of Owls, etc.

As far as good guy characters, I’m sure we’ll get new names of those too…. maybe a new Robin will get introduced in the next one. Who knows. Maybe other Batman allies could introduced in the next movie like Barbara Gordon slowly becoming the Batgirl would be cool and maybe bringing in Azrael would be kind of cool too.

If they were to do a new Robin then it should be someone like Damien and that way they could finally introduce Nightwing. Imagine Matt Reeves doing a Nightwing character?

If they were to do the Court of Owls story then the Joker may have to be brought back ’cause he was an important part of that story. I read the graphic novel.

“The Batman 2” will probably follow the same format as the first one. It’ll be a detective story that will have the feeling of a gangster movie. I think it’ll be a whole new trilogy.

We’ll see what the story and the villains will be. I bet the next one will probably be about Mr. Freeze ’cause Matt Reeves already said he liked the Mr. Freeze story so don’t be surprised they could do Freeze again and I’ll have to say a Reeves version of Freeze would be awesome. It could end up being the Court of Owls instead, though. We’ll see.

They haven’t started the script yet but I’m sure Matt and Robert are already talking about ideas. I can’t wait for “The Batman 2” as I fucking LOVED the first one.

Zack Snyder’s version of “Justice League” kind of sucked, I prefer the Joss Whedon version more to be honest…

So last night, I finally gotten around to watching the Zack Snyder cut of “Justice League” on BluRay. I watched both parts in one night. That was Snyder’s original “vision” of the film.

To be honest, I didn’t like it all that much. Kind of boring. Way too much CGI that it felt very cartoony and I thought that Snyder over did the slow mo effects. You all know how Snyder is obsessed with “slow mo” in all of his films? Well that effect is all over “Justice League” and it was kind of tiring my eyes.

Plus the story was kind of silly and dumb. I can see why Warner Bros. refused to release it at first ’cause they were right in the beginning, it was pretty “unwatchable”.

So I don’t get all the positive reviews of this version and I felt that all this hype was for nothing? Don’t get me wrong, though… I thought the film had some cool moments and a few surprising cameos. I didn’t like the way Batman’s story was going in this one either.

Like the title says, I prefer the Joss Whedon version more which I will plan on re-watching pretty soon. Making a perfect “Justice League” movie is hard ’cause of too many characters and all, ya know?

I also thought Snyder’s version was too crowded with way too much star power actors, ya know? Whedon’s version was lesser of a headache.

WB’s shouldn’t have released Snyder’s version at all and kept it in the vault but they were forced to release it due to popular demand, ya know? I think Snyder is a fine film maker ’cause I’m a fan of most of his work. I just didn’t get why Snyder’s version was way “overhyped” and it continues to be “overhyped” now.

Mel Gibson to direct “Lethal Weapon 5”??? If it happens, I’m all for it! Can’t wait!!!

I’m sure you read the reports by now that got out today and you’re probably wondering my thoughts. About Mel Gibson not only reprising his role as Martin Riggs for “Lethal Weapon 5” but he will also be directing it too, replacing Richard Donner who died earlier this year.

Of course, there will be all kinds of controversy around this ’cause of Mel’s past and I’m sure many are attacking Warner Brothers studios and threatening to boycott and all that crazy stuff.

There are some that are gonna be unforgiving and won’t let the past stay in the past but “who cares”. Mel’s still a great director and a talented man.

I’m sure he’ll make a great “Lethal Weapon” movie, he’ll make it action packed and funny as hell like the first 4 were. Mel is taking over Richard Donner to honor him after his passing which is great. Mel and Danny Glover reuniting would be awesome and that definitely have to happen but will the other cast return? Like with Joe Pesci, Renee Russo and Chris Rock? I’m sure Mel is gonna try to bring back the whole gang, we’ll see. Can’t wait.

Mel is mostly an actor and he’ll direct a film occasionally. While “Man Without a Face”, “Braveheart” and “Passion of the Christ” were all good flicks, I thought his best directed movie was “Apocalypto”. He may have had a controversial past yes but he’s still directed award nominated movies ’cause his last directed movie “Hacksaw Ridge (which was also pretty good) got some award attention.

I’m a big Lethal Weapon fan but is Lethal Weapon 5 gonna be HBO Max exclusive only? I hope not ’cause I don’t want to get HBO Max, I’m hoping they’ll release it for the big screen too. We’ll have to wait and see.

“Joker 2” is officially happening with Todd Phillips Co-writing again…

Well, Warner Bros. and DC greenlights Joker 2 and Todd Phillips is co-writing again. It is not yet known whether or not the other writer Scott Silver is coming back but we’ll see. It’s also not yet known whether or not Todd will direct “Joker 2” but it’s pretty likely he will.

The bigger question is will Joaquin Phoenix reprise his role as the Joker for the sequel? Well, the actor keeps flip flopping back and forth from what I’ve heard. One time he says the Joker movie should be a standalone film and next thing you know, he’s onto it. Now nobody knows for sure but I’m sure Warner Bros. is desperately gonna try to talk to him into it.

Good news the sequel is happening but I won’t bother if Phoenix is not gonna be in it ’cause I thought he did a great job with that role. I think Phoenix should come back for sure ’cause he makes an awesome Joker, in my opinion.

People complained about the first Joker movie ’cause of its gritty and over the top violence and gore. Well that’s how the Heath Ledger Joker was in “The Dark Knight” but nobody complained then. Do you think the crew of “Joker 2” will tone it down with the violence for the next movie? Fuck no. They’ll just make the next movie even more grittier and more graphic and I hope they do.

I loved the “Joker” movie myself and planning to give it a re-watch soon. Phoenix is definitely one of my favorite actors too, though. That guy is awesome!

Superman is returning to the big screen after all but it’s JJ Abrams is in Charge, will he direcT it??? NOt yet known…

JJ Abrams did Mission Impossible, did the Star Trek reboot and took over Star Wars. Now JJ, the iconic director/producer is taking over “Superman”. Yes, that’s right. The Man of Steel, the superhero we all known and love by DC/Warner Bros.

JJ seems pretty serious about this project and it really is going forward. The new film will have JJ’s Bad Robot producing the film and screenwriter by the name of Ta-Nehisi Coates will pen the script. Plot is being kept under wraps… there is no director and no one signed to play the new Clark Kent/Superman yet.

I remember about a year or two ago, Warner Bros. announced they are no longer doing Superman movies for a long while and there were all kinds of speculation that Henry Cavill is done playing the character. Then Henry made it clear to all of us that he’s not done and he will continue to play the Superman character as long as he can ’cause he loves the character so much.

Does this JJ Abrams Superman flick opening the doors for Henry to return? It’s not yet known but to be honest, it’s pretty unlikely. It’s looking like JJ wants to give his vision on Superman so they’re probably go for a different male lead actor to play Clark Kent/Superman.

A new Superman movie is in the works by JJ through Warner Bros, a new reboot so that means were probably gonna get another origin story… ya know, the legendary Superman story where it starts from Krypton and goes to Earth ’cause his home planet exploded… grows up in Smallville and becomes Superman at the Fortress of Solitude and becomes the hero in Metropolis. We’re probably gonna get that story again and we’re probably gonna get Lex Luthor as the main villain again. Do we really need Luthor and General Zod again???

I hope JJ will make things a little different, though… it be great if he brought other Superman villains to the big screen like Brainiac for example. Dark Seid would also be awesome.

Will JJ Abrams himself end up directing his first Superman movie? I wouldn’t be surprised if he decided to do it ’cause I thought he did fine work with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”… just think what JJ could do with a Superman movie?

Yes, I’m sure the new Superman movie will be full of action, CGI and all that stuff but hopefully JJ can do better than Zack Snyder. Yeah, I loved “Man of Steel” and “Dawn of Justice” but admittedly they could have been better.

It’s hard to make a great Superman movie and I hope JJ does a great job with it.

We won’t know what the plot is for a long while ’cause you know JJ… that man is always full of secrecy with all of his films… he just likes to take things real slow… that’s how he is. We won’t know the plot, characters and casting for a long while. JJ just loves teasing things. He’s the kind of guy that doesn’t like to give out his secrets early and wants everyone to see the film themselves. That’s why he does what he does, ya know?

So many people want to hate on JJ Abrams work but I’m a fan. I’m all for JJ doing Superman and looking forward to seeing what he’s gonna do with it.

I’m glad Warner Bros. decided to bring back Superman ’cause they created a lot of backlash with that by ignoring him. You can’t ignore Superman, he is king. They finally understood that, it looks like.

“The Batman” teaser is finally here and it looks amazing, I’m so there for this one…

When Robert Pattinson was announced that he was going to be the next Batman for the upcoming “The Batman” directed by Matt Reeves, it got mixed reactions. Some love it and some hate it as Pattinson being the next Batman. I’m one of those that always believed that Pattinson could pull it off and I always believed in him in that role. So many trashed Matt Reeves and “The Batman” ’cause of Pattinson’s history with the Twilight movies. So far, I’m seeing the Pattinson critics having a change of heart after the teaser finally came out and many critics not saying anything as well.

I think the first teaser is impressive and gave me goosebumps. Looks like this movie is gonna be the beginnings of Catwoman, The Penguin and the Riddler ’cause as you can see those characters look different and they aren’t those iconic villains… “yet”. Just an origin story for them, not an origin story for Batman which has already been done so many times.

The new Batman looks intense though and looks 10x’s more violent than the previous Batmans we’ve had in the past. Batman, a lot more tougher and more angry.

My question is, no Joker at all in this movie? I wouldn’t rule that out… probably no Joker but don’t be surprised if you’ll see or hear a Joker reference or more. If there is going to be a sequel to this movie and probably will be depending how this movie does in the box office, I’m sure they will feature more and different villains.

I’m so glad this movie “The Batman” is gonna be a detective story finally. All the previous Batman films we had were “action” movies. They weren’t detective stories. We need a detective story where fans can figure things out ourselves and we need a Batman movie where we can really think. A mystery “whodunit” story is what’s missing and we’re finally getting that.

Can’t wait and I’m definitely seeing this film when it comes out.

Re-booting Superman is what almost destroyed the character? They should have continued the Donner movies instead…

There are reports going around that the reason Warner Bros. aren’t interested in doing another solo Superman movie is ’cause they think a standalone Superman movie wouldn’t be successful at this time. Another reason is that JJ Abrams and his film company, Bad Robot is making a deal with Warner Bros. so he can make DC superheroes with them. While JJ is a huge Superman fan himself, he’s not interested in making a Superman film and he’s probably more interested in making DC films of other superheroes in the DC world.

If J.J. were to get on board to direct a Superman film himself, it’ll be totally different and would have a totally different cast. They’d cast who they want.

As far as the thought of Henry Cavill solo Superman movie would not be successful as of this time, I wanna know what drugs WB’s using? Both “Man of Steel” and “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” were box office hits despite mixed reviews of both of those films. Maybe that is what WB’s is really trying to avoid… the next Superman solo movie getting mostly mixed reviews like usual.

In my opinion, though, I thought “Man of Steel” was an amazing film. I thought it was well done and I was impressed with “Dawn of Justice” as well. I loved both of them.

Anyhow, I always preferred the Donner/Christopher Reeve styled Superman movies more. When Christopher Nolan announced that he was planning a Superman movie, he said he didn’t want to direct it and Nolan and Warner Bros’s ended up getting Zack Snyder for the job. Zack didn’t want a Donner/Reeve styled Superman movie at all and wanted a complete reboot.

Will WB’s ever go back to the Donner/Reeve styled Superman ever at all? They did that with “Superman: Returns” directed by Bryan Singer which was great and a sequel to “Superman: Returns” was gonna happen but WB’s ended up rebooting Superman instead.

I think WB’s doing another Donner/Reeve styled Superman film could work and that’s what everybody wants to see more to be honest. People want the old suit back and they want to hear the John Williams theme again. I think they could pull it off if they give it a chance. Do another movie, make a continuation of the original Reeve Superman films, know what I mean?

I think it’s a mistake that WB’s and DC no longer interested in making Superman solo movies anymore ’cause Superman is king. They need to keep making Superman movies.

Yeah, I understand how WB’s being frustrated ’cause making a good Superman movie is tough… they can be hard stories to tell and tough to get right.

I think a prequel to Donner’s “Superman: The Movie” is a nice idea too, though. How about a whole movie taken place on Krypton and a movie about the life of Jor-el? I’d like that too.

Just don’t ignore Superman, it’s crazy.

Ben Affleck doesn’t realize that he has many fans who love him as Batman… wish he would wake up and realize that…

Yes, Ben Affleck is a die-hard liberal but he’s still a very talented man and I’ve admired his work through the years in his films. I love him as Batman when he did “B vs. S: Dawn of Justice” and “Justice League”, I thought he did surprisingly fucking awesome. I thought he made a great Batman and he was fantastic.

Yeah, yeah, yeah… Affleck’s Batman got mixed reviews. Many hated him as Batman but at the same time there are also many fans out there who thought he was great. I also thought he played Bruce Wayne extremely well too when he didn’t have the batsuit on.

Originally, Ben was going to continue to play Batman and Warner Bros. wanted him to write and direct “The Batman” but he pulled out and the project went to Matt Reeves instead.

Ben’s first explanation of dropping out was that he couldn’t come up with a good version of the film even if he worked with a good screenwriter and said he couldn’t “crack it”. Next thing you know Ben admits the film could make him go back to being an alcoholic again.

I appreciate Ben trying to be honest with himself and trying to stay humble but I don’t think he realizes that a lot of people loved him as Batman and fans want him to keep playing that iconic character.

I don’t think Ben knows that he’s loved by many Batman and DC fans. I know Ben’s been going through a lot of problems and struggles in life but he needs to stop being so down about himself ’cause that’s not healthy.

Wish he would wake up and keep making Batman movies for the fans. I think he should have stayed on for “The Batman”. I think he would have made it a great film.

What’s gonna happen with “Justice League”??? I don’t think there’s gonna be a “Justice League 2” now that WB’s wants nothing to do with Superman and Ben wants nothing to do with Batman anymore. All of this is really sad.

Even though Ben is a die-hard leftist politically, I still wish him well ’cause he is a talented man. He made some good movies over the years.
