Zack Snyder’s version of “Justice League” kind of sucked, I prefer the Joss Whedon version more to be honest…

So last night, I finally gotten around to watching the Zack Snyder cut of “Justice League” on BluRay. I watched both parts in one night. That was Snyder’s original “vision” of the film.

To be honest, I didn’t like it all that much. Kind of boring. Way too much CGI that it felt very cartoony and I thought that Snyder over did the slow mo effects. You all know how Snyder is obsessed with “slow mo” in all of his films? Well that effect is all over “Justice League” and it was kind of tiring my eyes.

Plus the story was kind of silly and dumb. I can see why Warner Bros. refused to release it at first ’cause they were right in the beginning, it was pretty “unwatchable”.

So I don’t get all the positive reviews of this version and I felt that all this hype was for nothing? Don’t get me wrong, though… I thought the film had some cool moments and a few surprising cameos. I didn’t like the way Batman’s story was going in this one either.

Like the title says, I prefer the Joss Whedon version more which I will plan on re-watching pretty soon. Making a perfect “Justice League” movie is hard ’cause of too many characters and all, ya know?

I also thought Snyder’s version was too crowded with way too much star power actors, ya know? Whedon’s version was lesser of a headache.

WB’s shouldn’t have released Snyder’s version at all and kept it in the vault but they were forced to release it due to popular demand, ya know? I think Snyder is a fine film maker ’cause I’m a fan of most of his work. I just didn’t get why Snyder’s version was way “overhyped” and it continues to be “overhyped” now.

Just picked up the Zack Snyder cut of “Justice League” and “Wonder Woman 1984” on BluRay this week…

I went to Best Buy this week to pick a few superhero films on BluRay that I wanted to get that I haven’t seen yet. I refuse to get the HBO Max streaming service to watch all the new movies so I waited for Zack Snyder’s version of “Justice League” to come out on BluRay and it just came out yesterday. I bought the Zack Snyder “Justice League” on release day. Along with it I picked up the Wonder Woman sequel “1984” too.

I’m looking forward to watching these this weekend.

I’m a huge fan of comics/graphic novels and love superhero films as well. I’m planning to re-watch the first “Wonder Woman” film on BluRay this weekend as well.

After I watch the Snyder cut of “Justice League”, I’ll post a review and I’ll pick which version I prefer more… the Snyder version or the Theatrical one. Looking forward to watching the Snyder version, though.

Glad I got these.

Will Warner Bros. ever release the Zack Snyder version of “Justice League” (or better known as the “Snyder Cut”)??? I hope they do and they should!!!

https://www.instagram.com/p/B45yC6zgQvf/

So now that director Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck has officially joined the “Snyder Cut” movement, will Warner Bros. soon release the Snyder version of the latest “Justice League”???

I haven’t been following this story much so I thought I would finally look into it and post my thoughts. I believe what led to this movement is that Zack Snyder filmed a much longer version of the film “Justice League”… I’ve read that Snyder’s version was much more than 3 hrs. long. About three and a half hour long film, I think. It turned out that Warner Bros. hated the Snyder version so much that they didn’t want to release it at all. That’s how director Joss Whedon came in to take over for re-shoots and re-writes so therefor, the Joss Whedon version of “Justice League” brought the film down to a two hour film.

Once Joss Whedon’s version of “Justice League” came out in theaters, it received mostly negative criticism by fans. This sparked interest of DC/Warner fans that they think Warner Bros. should release the Snyder cut ’cause they might think the Snyder version would be a lot better. The “Snyder Cut” movement has been going on through social media for a long time now. Jason Momoa already expressed interest in the “Snyder Cut”. Now Zack Snyder himself and Ben Affleck joined the movement.

Even though Snyder directed the original version all by himself, it’s not all up to him to release it publicly since it’s Warner Bros.’s film so it’s their prerogative whether or not they want to release it. Even Kevin Smith wants the Snyder Cut released.

Even though I have no problem with Joss Whedon’s theatrical release of “Justice League” as I think it’s pretty good, I really hope Warner Bros. releases the Snyder version. I think we deserve to see Snyder’s take on the “Justice League” film like it was originally intended, ya know? Warner Bros. may hate the Snyder version but that doesn’t mean the rest of us will hate it. They should make a DVD/BluRay exclusive release of Snyder’s version, I don’t see why not?

I know Snyder’s: “Man of Steel” and “B vs. S: Dawn of Justice” got mixed reviews but I fuckin’ LOVED both of those films. I thought both were really good and still stand by it. I think the Snyder version of “Justice League” would be really good too. The reason I loved the Dawn of Justice film so much is that I thought they told the Death of Superman and Doomsday story so well which people don’t get. That story finally deserved to get told on the big screen and “Dawn of Justice” did just that. Plus “Dawn of Justice” was a badass action film too.

With that being said, I hope Warner Bros. does the smart thing and lets all see it ’cause we deserve to see it. We just gotta keep pressuring them.

Full “Justice League” trailer is finally out and it looks freakin’ awesome! Hell yeah!!!

While San Diego Comic Con is underway this weekend, WB’s decided to drop the “Justice League” trailer today. So here it is, the full trailer for “Justice League”.

I’m pretty impressed with it really. I really liked “Man of Steel”, “Wonder Woman” and “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice”. I thought all three were great flicks! All three of those films were leading up to the “Justice League” film. While all the advertisements omitted Superman, I believe they finally included him in this trailer above. The trailer teases Superman’s return. I believe that’s who Alfred was talking to when he was talking to a character “off-screen”… that was Clark Kent/Superman who Alfred was talking to; that was Henry Cavill’s voice, indeed.

So when are we actually going to see Superman in action in the film? Probably not until the very end of the movie I would say. Throughout the movie, they would keep teasing that Superman is alive and then we’ll see him at the end. Superman will join the Justice League group at the end of the movie. It’s not really a “spoiler” ’cause everybody probably knows that’s what’s going to happen anyways.

Anyhow, I’m pretty stoked for the movie. This is one movie that I’m most anticipated for this year other than “Star Wars: Episode 8”, “Stephen King’s The Dark Tower”, “IT” and “Jigsaw” (Saw 8).

Can’t wait for “Justice League”. Definitely going to see this one.

Zack Snyder backs out of directing “Justice League” film after suicide of his daughter…

“Justice League” director Zack Snyder is going through a bit of a tragedy himself. His 20 year old daughter committed suicide back in March. Why did he make this news public for the whole world to see now? Well, he wants to help bring awareness to suicide which seems to be a problem more and more these days.

Zack and his wife had to pull out of filming ’cause they’re going through some difficult times. Joss Whedon immediately stepped in to finish the rest of the film.

Sad. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Snyder family too. I don’t think you’ll see Snyder directing a movie for a long time. He’s probably gonna take a long hiatus from Hollywood.

Most of the “Justice League” movie is pretty much finished, the article says that Whedon needs to film additional scenes and do the post-production part of it. Post-production meaning editing, special effects, sounds, musical scores, etc.

I am looking forward to seeing “Justice League”, though. Can’t wait to see it. I’m sure it’ll be way better than “Man of Steel” and “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice”.

“Justice League” trailer is finally here but where is Superman??? My guesses are here… ***Possible spoilers***

***Possible Spoilers below***

The reason WB hasn’t been advertising Superman in the new “Justice League” movie even though Henry Cavill is still casted as Superman in the film is ’cause Superman is dead. At least he’s faking it.

Remember in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice”, Superman was killed by Doomsday at the end of it. At the end of the film, we see dirt rising off the casket giving us a hint that Superman is actually alive still.

At the end of “Dawn of Justice”, Bruce Wayne says to Wonder Woman, “We have to stand together”. Meaning they are about to form the new Justice League ’cause Bruce Wayne/Batman can’t save the world by himself without Superman, ya know? That’s why he’s forming Justice League.

My prediction in “Justice League” is that we won’t see Superman for most of the entire movie. We won’t see Superman ’til the very end of the film. When the Justice League group are in trouble toward the end of the film, that’s when Superman will finally appear and save the day.

With that being said, though, “Justice League” looks fuckin’ badass and I’m gonna go see it for sure. Can’t wait!

Why “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is a great film, it’s not bad like everyone is saying…

So I just re-watched “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” on BluRay last weekend and I still  see nothing wrong with the film. Yes, the film is still the most hated film in Hollywood right now. After I re-watched it, I can’t understand why. The film is not bad like everyone is saying. Actually, I think the film is pretty fucking great and I really mean that too.

Reasons the film is great for what it is ’cause it was pretty faithful to the comics for the most part. A lot of the movie was adapted from “The Death and Life of Superman”, ya know that famous story about Doomsday. They finally brought the “Death and Life of Superman” to the big screen. Also, “Batman v. Superman: DOJ” had many other comics adapted to that movie too like it had a lot of “Dark Knight: Returns” mixed in there as well ’cause the film was pretty much about an aging Batman. That’s where they got the idea of Batman and Superman not getting along too well at first ’cause they borrowed that idea from “The Dark Knight Returns” graphic novel/animated movie. So technically, the “Batman vs. Superman: DOJ” film is a mix of “Death and Life of Superman” and “The Dark Knight Returns”.

Plus, I think the visuals and the action scenes in “Batman v. Superman: DOJ” are out of this world. Sure all the action scenes don’t start ’til the second half of movie ’cause I’ll admit the movie started off kind of slow in the beginning but that’s good. It leaves room for more story. Everybody expected “Batman v. Superman: DOJ” to be this big action movie but when you actually see it, you’ll realize it’s something different.

I thought the Doomsday battle was incredible. That was probably the best part of the movie, in my opinion, that’s when Wonder Woman jumps in.

I think the only reason that the film got so much negative criticism is ’cause people don’t like Ben Affleck. Period. If they had a different actor to play Batman instead of Ben then maybe the film would have been received more positively. Isn’t that messed up? Anyway, I thought Ben made a great Batman. The way Ben’s mouth looked wearing the Batman suit, Wow. I thought Ben looked badass in the Batman suit. Ben will never be a better Batman than Michael Keaton and Christian Bale but I thought Ben did a great job.

With all this being said, I can’t wait for “Justice League” movie. The “Justice League” film would be even better than “B vs. S: DOJ”. Seriously, you should give “B vs. S: DOJ” another chance. It’s not a horrible movie like most people are saying. While I do have a great deal of respect for Mel Gibson, I’ll have to disagree with him of calling it a “piece of shit” ’cause it’s not.

Film Review: “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice”

Starring: Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg

Directed By: Zack Snyder

So today I’ve just seen the movie, “Batman vs. Superman” and here is my review…

Plot/Synopsis: Fearing the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on the man of steel, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs. With Batman and Superman fighting each other, a new threat, Doomsday, is created by Lex Luthor. It’s up to Superman and Batman to set aside their differences along with Wonder Woman to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis.

As usual this movie is getting mixed reviews. It’s another love or hate kind of movie but what do you expect when it comes to Zack Snyder films? Pretty much all of his movies get love & hate reviews but that’s okay. In my opinion, you shouldn’t listen to the nasty critics.

A lot of people are saying this movie is too long and saying that the first half is pretty slow pacing. Well when it comes to superhero movies, all people want to see is nothing but action. When you go see a movie like “Batman vs. Superman” of course, you’re gonna expect it to have full of action but if you’re expecting this movie to be full of action scenes… you probably will be disappointed ’cause this isn’t that kind of movie at all. It’s different. Instead, Snyder wanted to tell a serious story. There are plenty of action scenes but the good stuff won’t come ’til like the second half of the movie.

There’s a pretty good reason why the first half is slow ’cause #1: They needed a new re-introduction of both Batman and Superman which Snyder did a lovely job at. #2 Snyder wanted to give a backstory to both Superman and Batman. Another thing, they needed to tell the Batman origin story first which makes a lot of sense. Then they need to lead up to where Batman and Superman meet up together for the first time.

This movie is almost like a graphic novel. That’s what I felt like when I was watching this film. I felt like I was reading a graphic novel. Zack Snyder did an amazing job making this movie like a graphic novel or a comic book which was pretty close to it. The visuals and graphics of this movie were pretty phenomenal which is no surprise though ’cause Snyder is the master at visuals, we all know that.

This is a movie where comic book lovers would geek out over for sure. I thought Ben Affleck did a great job as Batman. His Batman was badass, in my opinion. So far, I think Ben played the best Batman and I’m not kidding either. Out of all the Batmans so far Keaton, West, Bale, Kilmer, and Clooney… I think Ben just topped them all. I also loved Gal Gaddot as Wonder Woman and loved Jason Momoa as the Aquaman. Momoa as Aquaman made a small cameo at least.

With all this being said, I thought “Batman vs. Superman” was a pretty amazing film. Don’t listen to the nasty critics. Finally a superhero movie with a plot and it’s not just about action scenes. Now I’m looking forward to the “Wonder Woman” standalone movie and the “Justice League” film. Bring them on. I think Snyder is a doing a good job with these movies. So many people are complaining about how Hollywood can’t come up with anything original but with the way I’m seeing things is Zack Snyder is trying to keep these films original as possible. He’s doing a great job. I never thought Snyder would be able to pull of Superhero movies but he’s doing it. I think Snyder is the best at making superhero films and I mean that too. I hope he keeps doing them.

I love how Snyder creates controversy with the casting and all which is ballsy for him. Snyder’s casting choices are pretty weird yes but once you see the film yourself, you’ll see that his casting choices are right.

I’ll give “Batman vs. Superman” a 5 out of 5 as in “excellent”.

Oh man, the full “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” trailer is here! It looks amazing! WOW!!!!!!

When the first teaser of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” came out, I was a little skeptical of it at first but now the second teaser is finally here, I’m pretty sold now! The film looks pretty badass. Look like you’re gonna see kryptonite in the movie ’cause you can see the new kryptonite in the trailer at 2:48.

I’m pretty impressed with the trailer and it gave me goosebumps. I’m definitely gonna see this one for sure!

Enjoy! \m/

James Wan to direct “Aquaman” movie for DC/Warner Bros…

James Wan is mostly famous as a horror film director but look like he’s finally getting tired of horror films and wants to do different genres. He has directed a few action movies in his career with action films such as “Death Sentence” starring Kevin Bacon and he just directed “Fast & Furious 7”. Now he’s set to direct another action film which is gonna be the “Aquaman” which will star Jason Momoa in the leading role.

You can expect the “Aquaman” live-action movie to be full of water all over so there’s gonna be a lot of underwater scenes and above water scenes. That’s because I believe that Aquaman can only survive in water, I think he can survive outside of water but not for long. I don’t know much about Aquaman but I’m just doing a little googling on the character. He does have super strength and he can control all sea life meaning that he can control all sea animals like fish, sharks, whales, etc.

So I think this is gonna be an interesting movie and looking forward to seeing how James is gonna pull it off. Expect the movie to be full of CGI, though.
