Report: “Guitar Hero” competes with “Rock Band” videogame…

Since the “Rock Band” videogames are starting to get more popular, “Guitar Hero” franchise is coming out with a fifth “Guitar Hero” game titled, “Guitar Hero World Tour” as a way to compete with “Rock Band”. In “Guitar Hero World Tour” will give you the ability to play bass, drums, guitar and mic all at once, just like the “Rock Band” game. It will also give you the ability to compose and write your own original music, also it will let you play online for two groups of four people each.

“Guitar Hero World Tour” is slated to release this fall. Yes, this the 5th Guitar Hero game with “Aerosmith: Guitar Hero” being the 4th”, “Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock” being the third.

Activision truly is trying to compete with Rock Band by taking their fans and Activision company even said that in this article. Their goal is to be more popular than “Rock Band”. They don’t want “Rock Band” being more popular than “Guitar Hero”.

More on the story here:

I’ll definitely buy “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith” when that comes out this summer, but I won’t be buying this one. “Guitar Hero World Tour” sounds pretty lame and silly, I think it will fail.

The music from the game Grand Theft Auto IV from the vehicle radiostations will be released on a soundtrack CD album. No release dates has been announced yet but the songs on the soundtrack will be available for pay download on May 20th which is today as a matter of fact, I would assume they would be available for Itunes.

I might get the soundtrack, I actually enjoy the music in the game.

Thought: The success of “Grand Theft Auto IV” calls for a live action movie…

Yes, I know. Most movies adapted from videogames are crap. But a “Grand Theft Auto” live action movie would work and would be a really good one if done right. I remember Hollywood came this close to greenlighting a “Grand Theft Auto” movie back in the early 90’s with Enimem attached to starring the leading role, but as the news reported a while back, they dumped the “Grand Theft Auto” movie just recently.

It don’t hurt to fight for it to get made. I think a GTA  movie would be great.

As for the leading role of Grand Theft Auto film, it should definitely be a younger actor. Eminem is not a bad choice, he would be good but Marshall Mathers has gotten a lot older. I think Vin Diesel would also be a perfect choice for a leading role in a GTA film. I would also root for Matt McConaughey, Christian Bale or Edward Norton for the leading roles. Any of those guys would work in my opinion.

As for villains for the Grand Theft Auto film, think how Al Pacino would be terrific for a mob boss, Alec Baldwin would make a great mob boss too. Jack Nicholson too? Gary Oldman, Kevin Bacon, or Sly Stallone would be awesome for a mean mob guy.

If there ever were going to be a “Grand Theft Auto” live action film, they should definitely make it similar to the videogames, make it bloody violent, with lots of drug use and sexy women in the film version. Don’t make the movie a popcorn flick, a serious action movie similar to something like the Bourne series. I hope a Grand Theft Auto movie does get made in the future ’cause if it did, it would be more popular than the videogames.

As for “Grand Theft Auto IV”, I’m almost at the end of the game already, I played it most of the weekend, I have ten more missions left. I’m on this mission titled “Hostile Negotiations” where you have to rescue this guy from the mob in this warehouse, there’s a lot of gun shooting in this one ’cause you have to fight so many enemies, this is probably the most toughest mission in the entire game so far. This mission is frusrating and pissing me off as it takes me over 20 tries, and I still haven’t completed the mission yet.

I don’t believe in using cheat codes for videogames ’cause cheat codes are for pussies, I like to play the real way.

Thought: Grand Theft Auto IV, how am I doing on the game now?

So I’ve had Grand Theft Auto IV for a while and I’m sure you’re all wondering how I am doing in the game so far. There are only 51 missions in the game in total. So far I’m 26.37% of the game so far and I’ve got 15 more missions left to complete, so I’ve gotten pretty far in it this soon.

This game is actually the most difficult and challenging GTA game ever made. Some missions are easy and simple, but some missions are such a bitch to complete that it takes me many many many tries just to complete one mission.

I haven’t done any helicopter flying yet and I can’t wait to start doing some helicopter flying. The helicopter pretty much what makes the game a hit and the best part of the Grand Theft Auto games. Everybody loves to fly the helicopter in it.

I’m halfway through the game, and I should have the entire game beat hopefully before the end of this month. After I beat GTA IV, I’ll choose another game to move on to next. I don’t know what game I’ll play next after GTA IV though, I’ll have to decide. I have 5 games for the ps3 now ’cause last weekend I picked up the games “Iron Man” and “F.E.A.R.” (a first person shooter) so I’ll probably start one of those next after GTA IV.

Report: Indiana Jones game announced for PS3/Xbox?

I was just browsing the Best Buy website for PS3 games and I came across something that surprised me. There is a new Indiana Jones game coming out for the PS3/Xbox. Above is a screen shot from the upcoming new game. Best Buy says it’s being released March 1st of 2009 but doing research in other videogame sites they all say the release date is “to be announced”.

You can see more screenshots here:

Not sure if Harrison Ford does the voice overs for Indy in the game or not, but either way, doesn’t matter, it’s great that a new Indiana Jones videogame is finally happening and I’ll be getting it when it comes out.

From all the screen shots I’ve seen, looks like this game is not based on any of the 4 films, the videogame looks to be a new original story.

BREAKING NEWS: Grand Theft Auto IV breaks record in the U.S…

It broke records of sales in the U.K. first, and now it finally broke records in the U.S.A. “Grand Theft Auto IV” has beat “Halo 3” and “Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End” videogames with “GTA IV” becoming the biggest opening in any entertainment product ever. Before the game came out it was speculated that the game would make over $300 million, but turns out it made more than $500 million.

I can see why. The game is absolutely mind blowing.

Thought: I still can’t believe how amazing Grand Theft Auto IV truly is…

Oh my. I can’t believe I’m still in awe and amazed how incredible this “Grand Theft Auto IV” game is. It is hands down, fuckin’ unbelievable. It is indeed a game that will go down in history as it already has. This game is being talked about everywhere I go. Even the people at my work job are talking about the game. I’m completely sold to this game and this game is my obsession.

I’ll be playing this game a lot. It’ll take me a long time to beat the whole thing ’cause there are a lot of missions in this. There’s a lot you can do in this game. It’s so realistic, it’s crazy. The city is almost real looking and the characters look like they came from a CGI movie.

I already did the strip club part and that’s actually pretty hot. The women in the strip clubs are topless in the game, but the game doesn’t show their nipples though, their nipples has duct tape with an X shape over them. I don’t think there is full nudity at all in the game as I remember the GTA series got in trouble for that once.

But the game is unbelievably great and simply the best game ever made. Even if you don’t own a PS3 or an Xbox360, you should save up money and buy one, and make GTA IV your first game purchase. Believe me, you will be immediately hooked to this game once you insert the disc in and turn it on.

I’m sure once people bought the game, this is all they ever do in their life really, playing GTA IV, lol. But the game is incredible. Now I can see why it created controversy and the media is all over it. GTA IV is almost like a real thing.

I did the drunk driving thing in the game too and that is also crazy, and it really does get you thinking that you shouldn’t drink and drive in real life. I wish MADD wouldn’t get defensive over that.

I’m completely sold to this game that it made me forget everything else, as I’m sure it happened with everyone else who bought the game.

Please do yourself and the world a favor, give this game a try as soon as possible! You will be in heaven!

Report: Madd is mad at Grand Theft Auto IV…

Madd (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) wants a stricter rating for “Grand Theft Auto IV”. The company is calling on the Entertainment Software Ratings Board to turn “Grand Theft Auto” into an adults only game. The game includes missions where you get to drive drunk. Madd is also calling on the Take Two Interactive and Rockstar games to stop distributing the game. Madd wants this done as in respect to the victims and survivors of drunk driving all over the world.

Rockstar games the creator of the Grand Theft Auto series, respond back defending themselves as any company would do. Rockstar replies back saying that adults are aware of the content of the game and you can’t judge an entire film or a TV show by a single scene, you can’t judge GTA IV by a small aspect of the game.

The Associated Press reports:

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5ju16X_-nwrLKNTDz01XO2wzB_e3AD90CH47G0

I’m with Rockstar on this one.

There is drinking and driving everywhere you go in the Entertainment industry. There’s drunk drivers in movies and television shows, it’s everywhere.

Besides, why would Madd atttack GTA IV for the drinking and driving in the game? I think the drinking and driving in the game is a good thing the way I look at it.

I think GTA IV wants to help stop people from drinking and driving. Think about this, you’re playing GTA IV in the drunk driving scenes, you crash into a car and die in the game, and then you think to yourself, “Gee, I better not drink and drive for real so I don’t get myself killed like that”.

Madd should think about that.

Thought: Grand Theft Auto IV….OMG!!!! This game fuckin’ rocks!!!

This blog has been slow today ’cause I got hooked to playing “Grand Theft Auto IV” when I started playing this afternoon. The game is absolutely great and mind blowing. You videogamers out there, I would seriously reccomend this.

I finally beat “God of War: Chains of Olympus” for the PSP today so I’ve started GTA IV for the PS3 this afternoon.

GTA IV is amazing. The graphics are out of this world, and the action is just amazing. I’m totally amazed on how crazy this game is and I can immediately see why it got a lot of buzz in the media.

The game is already making huge cash as it already expected, it broke records in the UK and making big money over here too. This game will indeed be the most popular video game in history.

Thank god I have a day off of work tomorrow, I’ll be playing this sucker all day and evening tomorrow. It is kind of sad, lol, ’cause it’ll take my time away from guitar playing. I’m only at the beggining of the game which turns out easy at first but the game will get tougher to play as you go along. I just gotta get used to it. The game is pretty realistic too. I’m about to get off the computer to play some more of the game.
