Thought: Ric Flair had two matches here in the Capital District?

Last night, I watched the “Ric Flair Definitive Collection” 3 Disc set, not the entire disc yet, but I only watched the documentary on Ric Flair’s life and career on the first disc.

I knew Ric Flair had a match where he won his first WWE title at Royal Rumble 1992 in Albany, N.Y. but I didn’t know he had another match in Troy, N.Y.

In Troy, N.Y. Flair had a match with Terry Funk in a hardcore match called “I Quit”, it was taken place at the RPI Fieldhouse at Clash of the Champions PPV during the NWA days, that match was named to be one of Flair’s most classic matches.

You can watch the “Terry Funk vs. Ric Flair I Quit Match” in Troy, N.Y. at the RPI Fieldhouse on the videos below. The entire match is not on the DVD, they only showed some of it in the documentary. Here’s the whole thing right here. Enjoy.

BREAKING NEWS: About Kane’s bag, what was in it? Who is alive or dead?

On tonight’s RAW, the new General Manager, Mike Adamle confronted Kane about what was in his bag and who was Kane reffering to when he kept saying “Is he alive or dead”. Everyone kept making predictions like if it’s either Paul Bearer or the old Kane, a possibility of Kane’s old mask being in the bag.

When Kane admitted that there is a mask in the bag. Adamle teased that it could have been the old Kane. The old Kane with the red mask on. Turns out it wasn’t the old Kane. To read who was Kane reffering to is below:

********************MAJOR RAW SPOILERS BELOW***********************

What was in Kane’s bag on tonight’s RAW, was Rey Mysterio’s mask. Kane said that Mysterio is dead. Does this mean we will get an unmasked Rey Mysterio when he returns to RAW? Expect a major Kane and Rey Mysterio feud on the way. I see a Kane vs. Rey Mysterio match at Summerslam. We will finally get an unmasked Mysterio? I hope so.

********************************END SPOILER**********************************************

Now that was a shocker! Finally a decent storyline with Kane! I love Kane, Glen Jacobs who is Kane’s real birth name is a good mic worker.

Report: Ric Flair speaks on leaving WWE and explains everything…

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair finally speaks out to the media on the real reason why he left WWE. He explains he has no hard feelings against WWE and Vince McMahon. He loves the business very much and always loved the wrestling industry because wrestling is Flair’s life. Flair explains, he never stood on his own feet without wrestling and wants to move on to other things in his career.

What does Flair plans on doing in his future? Well, he plans to become a public/corporate speaker. He wants to do autograph session tours that he never got to do much. He wants to try and start an acting career in film and TV. He wants to see if he has the ability to do other things in his life other than wrestling. Like Ric Flair said in the article, he spent his entire life on profesional wrestling. He loves profesional wrestling too much, that the entertainment/sport is all he cared about.

Vince McMahon and Ric Flair will always be best friends for life as they always had been, like I said before, them two hating each other on TV is just a fun little storyline they are playing out.

Read this long article at the Post and Courier, it’s a newspaper in Charleston, SC. It is Ric Flair’s hometown and state where he lives.

Flair will be back on WWE TV, I know he will. I’m sure he’ll still make occasional appearances on WWE TV once in a while.

Flair deserves to retire, he spent his life on wrestling.

Thanks for the entertainment you gave us wrestling fans Ric! And good luck!

Report: Brock Lesnar wins UFC match against Heath Herring last night at UFC 87…

Former WWE star, Brock Lesnar “The Next Big Thing”, won his match against UFC fighter Heath Herring last night at UFC 87 ppv. Brock Lesnar won the match by bringing some of his fake pro wrestling into the mix influenced by his WWE moves to trick his UFC opponent by knockin’ him for real after.

Dana White, the UFC president, was very impressed with how Lensar looked last night. The UFC officials are already predicting the UFC Heavyweight champ could be around Lesnar’s body very quickly.

More on it here:

Sounds like Lesnar’s been doing good in WWE so far. Even though he hasn’t won that many matches so far, he is still a powerhouse.

I tried to buy last night’s UFC ppv so I can watch it myself last night but something was wrong with my PPV cable, the “Buy” option on the screen wouldn’t come up so I’m sure the cable company will get it back to working again soon. Since my ppv isn’t working, I just watch the Olympics instead.

I am starting to like UFC more though so I’m getting into it.

Report: Another wrestling legend about to part ways with WWE…Mick Foley?

Mick Foley, known as a legendary hardcore wrestling legend is another one that is about to part ways with WWE. Mick Foley is currently a color commentator for the Smackdown brand alongside with Jim Ross. Wrestling sources say that Foley’s contract is expiring soon and looks like he may not renew, and he may move on…again.

The commentators on RAW/SD/ECW/ and the PPV’s wear these headsets and backstage, there is a production team that speak into their headsets giving the announcers what lines to say on television during the matches. Foley is being bothered and distracted by Vince McMahon’s yelling in the headsets when Vince is giving him lines backstage. After Foley complained to Vince about the yellling, Vince since then calmed his tone down when speaking in the headsets during matches. Things aren’t looking good with Mick Foley as it looks like he may part ways with WWE also.

Mick Foley is a hardcore wrestling legend known for wrestling under three different gimmicks: Cactus Jack, Dude Love, and Mankind. Foley wrestled under the Cactus Jack persona for most of his life. Before Foley joined the WWE, he wrestled in Japan for most of his life to get his start in brutal hardcore wrestling. Later he joined the WCW when that company used to be around. After Foley left WCW, he joined Paul Heyman’s owned company ECW where he wrestled many of the greats. Foley had plenty of matches with wrestlers such as Terry Funk and Al Snow the most. And of course, he wrestled the Undertaker many times.

When Foley finally arrived in the WWE in 1996, he first appeared as Mankind a character where he wears a white shirt, a tie, and a weird brown mask, and he wears a sock, known as Mr. Socko. Foley started to get noticed as a hardcore wrestler after he was viciously thrown off a Cell cage in a “Hell In a Cell” match with the Undertaker at King of the Ring and crashed onto the announcers table which got Foley his fame, that short ten minute match created a lot of controversy.

Foley is a controversial hardcore wrestler who had plenty of injuries, including getting his ear ripped off and getting his teeth knocked out, and plenty more gruesome injuries. Other than his wrestling career, Foley is an author and an actor who had appeared in other TV shows and movies. Mick Foley is also a family man who is married to his longtime wife Collete and the couple have four children together, they are, Duey, Michael, Francis, and Noelle. Foley currently resides in Long Island, N.Y.

See the report of Mick Foley possibly leaving WWE for good here:

Keep it up Vince, the more you keep your ego in check, the more superstars will leave the company.

Thought: Beth Phoenix is the best wrestling diva in the history of WWE!!!

There has been many female wrestlers over the years in WWE. From the old days of classics of WWE we had wrestling divas such as Mae Young, Fabulous Moolah, Lita, Sable, Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, Chyna, etc.

Now here comes a woman wrestler named Beth Phoenix (real name: Elizabeth Carolan) who was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Before entering the WWE, Beth worked for Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) for a number of years.

I would like to say that Beth Phoenix aka the Glamazon has certainly grabbed my attention, I’ve been a fan of hers ever since she showed up in WWE on her first day on television. It’s about time we get a woman wrestler who actually knows how to wrestle really good, doing a lot more moves than just pulling hair and slapping across the face like most divas seem to be doing.

I hope WWE keeps Beth Phoenix around for a long time, she’s the best wrestling diva I’ve ever seen. Great looks, amazing body, you never know what this woman can do out in the wrestling ring. I enjoy watching her and look forward to seeing her on screen everytime RAW or the PPV’s come on. I like Mickie James too, but Beth Phoenix is better.

For the wrestling fans out there, lets hear your thoughts on this woman if you agree with me or not.

Report: An update on Ric Flair’s departure with WWE!!!

In the news of the wrestling world, sources say Ric Flair left on good terms, so it appears he has no negative grudges with Vince McMahon in real life, they’re all good and cool. All that stuff on TV where Flair and McMahon are hating on each other are just storyline stuff.

Flair is just frustrated how the WWE is using him lately. He thinks the WWE should promote and market his new DVD more by having him get more screen time on WWE TV.

Flair was originally scheduled to work with WWE longer as agent or a play by play commentator.

More on it here:

Flair had a great run in WWE anyways, and yes, I’m sure he will be back on TV when the WWE come to an agreement to whatever Flair wants in the future.
