BREAKING NEWS: “Prince Caspian” beats the hell out of “Iron Man” in box office match…

The new “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” topped “Iron Man” just like I predicted. “Prince Caspian” started off pretty quietly and not making a lot of money Friday but picked up pretty quickly over the weekend. “Prince Caspian” beat down “Iron man” in world records.

The Associated Press reports:

http://apnews.excite.com/article/20080518/D90O7GFO0.html

I’ll be seeing “Prince Caspian” tomorrow afternoon on my day off of work. I can’t wait to see it.

I just love the first movie “The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe”, such a beautiful and perfect movie. I watched “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” on DVD last week and the film still amazes me. I think the Chronicles of Narnia series is the best live action movie Disney made by far. And I’m sure I’m gonna love “Prince Caspian”. “Prince Caspian” got a PG rating and it’s very rare that Disney movies get that kind of rating because of all the violence in the film. I hear it’s a very violent film. I’m really looking forward to seeing “Prince Caspian”.

Report: “Iron” Mike Tyson gets respect at Cannes in France…

Former Catskill, N.Y. native “Iron” Mike Tyson attended  the “Cannes Film Festival” in France over the weekend where he debuted his new documentary titled “Tyson” directed by his friend James Toback. The film “Tyson” is a documentary about the fighters life. After the film got over with, Tyson got some respect from the audience by giving the man a standing ovation applause. Tyson admits to living a troubled life, by being addicted to dangerous drugs, being involved with dangerous and bad people, sleeping with married women, etc.

The Associated Press reports:

http://apnews.excite.com/article/20080518/D90NUPS00.html

Even though he had a troubled life, it’s nice to see Tyson get some respect for once. He’s gotten too much hate over the years.

He is a talented fighter and a legend, like him or not. Tyson may have an ego problem, but heck, all boxers have egos. A lot of fighters do, the ego is what helps them get up there in their careers.

Report: Audience reaction of “Indy and the Crystal Skull” at Cannes…

Well, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” made it’s debut at Cannes this weekend. Of course most of the cast and crew attended the event and watched their own movie there along with Spielberg, Lucas and Ford. Did the audience cheer and clap throughout the entire movie? Not really. The Indy 4 audience at Cannes got a mixed reaction. Some were excited and loved the film, some did not enjoy it.

When Ron Howard’s “The Da Vinci Code” debuted at Cannes last year, “The Da Vinci Code” got a harsh negative reaction that the audience walked out with a dissapointment and thought the film sucked.

Indy 4 got mixed reviews from the audiences.

The Associated Press Reports:

http://apnews.excite.com/article/20080518/D90O5FD80.html

This isn’t a good sign that Indy 4 could top “Iron Man”.

But either way, I’m looking forward to seeing it myself. Can’t wait!

Report: George Lucas says “Indy 5” is a definite possibility…

At the Cannes Festival, George Lucas was a guest when he saw the animated film “Kung Fu Panda” which Angelina Jolie and Jack Black does the voice overs. George Lucas spoke with Fox News while there and says there is a definite possibility of an “Indy 5”.

“I haven’t even told Steven or Harrison this,” he said. “But I have an idea to make Shia [LeBeouf] the lead character next time and have Harrison [Ford] come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out.

“And it’s not like Harrison is even old. I mean, he’s 65 and he did everything in this movie. The old chemistry is there, and it’s not like he’s an old man. He’s incredibly agile; he looks even better than he did 20 years ago, if you ask me.”

FOXNews reports:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,356282,00.html

I’d say bring on another Indy! I love the idea of an aging Indy passing the torch to a younger guy!

Rumour has it that “Indy and the Crystal Skull” did leave open for another movie at the end.

Report: Tyrese Gibson confirmed to play B.A. Baracus in “The A-Team” remake…

Male model superstar and actor Tyrese Gibson announced he is confirmed to play B.A. Baracus in the upcoming “A-Team” remake directed by John Singleton…

More on it here:

http://chud.com/articles/articles/14728/1/TYRESE-PITY-THE-FOOL/Page1.html

A horrible choice for B.A. in my opinion. I think Ice Cube would have been perfect.

A muscular hunk kind of B.A. would suck.

Mr. T was big and huge, and Tyrese just doesn’t have Mr. T’s look.

I smell another bomber and this might be another “wait for DVD” thing…

Thought: The Top Ten Best “Indiana Jones Moments”…

With “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” coming around the corner, I just wanted to discuss some of the best scenes from all three Indy flicks. I’m getting really excited for Indy 4 and I will see it on the night it comes out. I also have plans in seeing “Prince Caspian” this weekend as well.

The Top Ten Best Indy Moments here:

10. The Bar Fight scene at Marion’s Bar – (Raiders) This is a classic action sequence. All the fire and gun shooting. Major Toht is one of the coolest badguys in Hollywood movies! I always loved this scene in Raiders the most.

9. Indy finds where Ark is in the Map Scene – (Raiders) This seen sends chills down my spine everytime I see it. This scene is amazing. I don’t know what it is about this scene, I just think it’s the creepy music score being played during it.

8. Indy fights a bald Nazi at the plane after finding the Ark – (Raiders) Another classic action scene. Thank you Spielberg!

7. Indy shoots a swordsman – (Raiders) A tiny scene, but classic and shows a comedic side of Indy!

6. Indy turns into a villain – (Temple of Doom) Moloram forcing Indy to turn into a bad guy is just pure gold. This is where Harrison’s acting gets amazing. Indy was a real badguy you wanted to hate in this film, just perfect acting by Harrison!

5. The Bridge scene – (Temple of Doom) Short Round “Hang On Lady, we’re going for a ride…”  Willie “Oh my god, oh my god, isn’t he nuts?” Short Round, “He no nuts, he’s crazy!” The final action scene in Temple of Doom is possibly another one of the greatest action scenes ever made. I love this scene to death, I think Spielberg’s goal with this scene, he was supposed to make this scene scary as hell. Not entertaining in a way. It’s supposed to be scary, and yes, it is scary as fuck being over 100 ft in the air of that bridge and Indy cuts it to pieces.

4. The Young Indiana Jones scenes – (The Last Crusade) “The Last Crusade” was a pretty good movie but not the best of the series, but the only best thing about the film was the opening sequence with River Phoenix playing the Young Indiana Jones, totally explaining what Indy was like as a child was pure gold. I love the scene so much.

3. The Mine Chase Roller Coaster Ride scene – (Temple of Doom) Another classic Indy scene that is very entertaining. A thrill ride.

2. Truck Chase scene – (Raiders) Spielberg created one of the greatest action scenes ever made. I’ll never get tired of watching this scene, the scene where Indy goes after the truck where the Ark is in is pure magic and thrilling!

1. Belloq opens the Ark – (Raiders) The ending to “Raiders” where Belloq opens the Ark, and all these ghosts started coming out of it, The Nazis started melting while Indy and Marion are tied together keeping their eyes closed so the same doesn’t happen to them. I always found the ending to “Raiders” to be classic, the ending used to scare me when I was a kid.

There you have it, my choices for the top 10 Best Indy scenes and moments. Spielberg created a lot of fun classic Indy scenes and I’m sure he created some great memorable scenes for “Indy 4” that we’ll never forget too.

Cool Video: “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” trailer online…

The trailer for Woody Allen’s new film “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” which stars Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson is online now. This will be one of the films debuting at this year’s Cannes festival.

Looks like a wait for DVD release most definitely, I’m not such a big Woody Allen fan but I’ll see this movie just for Scarlett. I don’t think you’ll see Scarlett nude in this one though although she does make out with Penelope in this film, I don’t think Scarlett was ever naked in any movie but Penelope has been naked in quite a few films before so she might be naked in this one.

Although the movie looks okay, we all know the only reason people will see this is the lesbian scene between Scarlett and Penelope.

Report: Jonah Hill in negotiations to write script for “21 Jump Street” film…

“Supberbad” star Jonah Hill is in negotiations with Sony Studios to write the screenplay for “21 Jump Street” an adaptation from the TV show starring Johnny Depp. It hasn’t been decided yet if Jonah will have an acting role in “21 Jump Street” movie. Jonah will also serve as executive producer. Sony is keeping all plans of “21 Jump Street” underwraps for now.

Entertainment Weekly reports:

http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2008/05/21-jump-street.html

With Jonah Hill writing the script, I expect the film to be loads of swearing and sexual dirty talk, seems like Jonah plays that type of character in almost every movie he plays, so I feel the “21 Jump Street” film could get a R rating.
