Report: The Iaz says no to auditioning for “America’s Got Talent”…

To those wondering if Iaz is going to audition for either “America’s Got Talent” or “American Idol” for his 15 minutes of fame glory…Iaz confirms he is not doing it.

Check it out here:

http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=61560782&blogID=486572890

I’m not making fun of Iaz, but I’m being a little honest. I think Iaz is afraid of being bashed on by Piers Morgan, I think he knows that’s exactly what’s going to happen if he went on there, lol, that’s why he isn’t doing it.

I think it be kind of cool to see Iaz get famous and get on TV. Iaz become the next Susan Boyle or Tay Zonday. Iaz is missing out on something good, and I think they would get him on “America’s Got Talent” if he tried, but I think he’s afraid of Piers Morgan, seriously.

Thought: Losing Saratoga Winners or any Capital Region venue is no sad loss at all, in my opinion…

I just heard the news that Saratoga Winners has been burned down with an alledged suspicion of arson. I don’t really want to be blogging about local music with this blog, but I got to blog this one since this is one of the most talked about music venues in the area for years.

I don’t get why people get sad if venues close down or get burned to the ground. I don’t get heartbroken about these kind of things and I don’t get why everyone else gets sad about it too. It’s just a building, just some pieces of wood, metal and wires all over it to have a roof over your head. That’s all it is. Just some places where bands go there and play.

I have never been there before. I have seen local music message boards going on and on and on about it for years. Mostly people complaining about the place and the previous owner, I think his name was Solam or something like that? It’s puzzling me why people would complain about the place so much and now they are crying about it.

Isn’t your life more important than a music venue? This is just evidence that this music scene is dying and there is no music scene left anymore. I find that sadder than losing a music venue.

I understand how it’s an important venue ’cause legendary bands go there and play, but fuck, they all played there before they became big, rich and famous anyways. Do you think the Mighty Mighty Bosstones or Ben Folds would care if they heard that place burnt down? I don’t think so. These guys are too famous that they wouldn’t even remember they played there.

I don’t get all the emotion about this place. The place hasn’t been in business for a while before it burnt down anyways. It seemed like the public didn’t care that the place closed down before. The place booked a bunch of bands that I never heard of except for the most well known local and famous bands that played there.

Saratoga Winners, in my opinion, wasn’t anything special, so don’t take this as an offense. I love going to see live music myself, but if we lose any other venues, I won’t be sad about it. Things happen for a reason, life moves forward and you can’t change the past. I understand how important and legendary Saratoga Winners is but I think people grieving about this building is just pretty silly, in my opinion.

Thought: M.I.A is hands down, one of the best pop artists around today!!!!

I can’t stop listening to her CD, “Kala”. I think M.I.A is definitely one of the best pop artists around in today’s music industry. To describe her genre, she sounds like a mix of African jungle music with rap and electronica. Her sound is unique, she comes up with great vocal melodies. Her music is just so much fun to listen to and it’ll give you goosebumps as you listen to it.

Yes, the main riff to the song “Paper Planes” was sampled from the Clash song, “Straight to Hell”, but I think she did the best job sampling a song from someone else to make a song of her own.

“Kala” was released way back in 2007, so I hope she goes back in the studio soon to make a new record. It’s understandable why she hasn’t made a new record yet since she just had a new baby and all.

I hate most pop music but M.I.A is great talent. I’ll see her live in concert if she comes around here! I never heard of this woman before until I started seeing the internet buzzing about her, so I decided to check her out and ended up really liking her stuff.

Thought: I think Creed will learn their lessons from the past with their music…

So you wonder what Alter Bridge frontman, Myles Kennedy thinks about the Creed reunion? I’m sure Alter Bridge is still going on, but I don’t think Myles Kennedy is upset at all about the other guys reuniting Creed. I would think Myles is happy about it. There were talks about the Creed reunion ever since Myles Kennedy auditioned for Led Zeppelin and it actually happened for reals this time.

As for what Creed’s music is going to sound like for their 4th studio album with new songs? I think the band will learn from their past mistakes in their careers. They will go back to a rock oriented band instead of a mainstream pop band.

I think Creed’s “My Own Prison” was their best album because that album pretty much focused on the metal genre, close enough. The other two Creed albums were pop albums. I think Creed will go back to the hard rock stuff so that we can all love them again and silence all the nay sayers.

I’m sure the Creed haters online are complaining and bitching that they are coming back, that they think the Creed tour and album will both fail but I disagree. I think the 4th album will improve them as a band, and I think the band will try real hard to get everyone to like them again, even the metal heads that hate them.

Mark Tremonti has improved as a guitarist, and I think his guitar playing for the new Creed album will be much different than the first three. If we can get Creed to go back to writing great guitar riffs and Scott Stapp singing the dark and deep lyrics like their first record, “My Own Prison”, I think the band will just get even better.

I’m actually surprised and shocked to hear the news of the Creed reunion. I hope they get back to writing heavy songs again instead of writing top 40 pop songs. There’s a lot of Creed haters yes, but you can’t deny that their first record, “My Own Prison” is a really amazing album. It sounds like they are getting ready to write heavy songs again since they are looking to get Brendan O’ Brien, Bob Rock, and several other producers they are looking to get.

Creed is easy targeted in the music industry just like Metallica ’cause of how Creed did a heavy rock album like “My Own Prison” and then they went to mainstream pop in their next two. Plus, the band is hated ’cause of Scott Stapp’s huge ego, he’s a drunk and has a temper tantrum, Stapp gets into fights and drinks too much. I think Stapp is staying out trouble and has smarten up to get back in a band again.

I think the band got new material up their sleeve that will take the world by storm. You may hate Creed now but you’ll be surprised of what they can come up with in their next album. Could they do a metal album or a pop album? I hope they do a metal one. This is a band that deserves the respect.

BREAKING NEWS: Creed reunion is official!!! They will make a stop at SPAC in Aug.!!!

It was only a matter of time. Scott Stapp has finally agreed to rejoin Creed to record 4th new album and tour. The 4 original members of Creed will make a stop at SPAC in Saratoga Springs on Aug. 11th. I think that’s another concert I’m interested in going to. I’m a fan of Creed, I dig their tunes. I own three of their albums and seen them in concert twice. I’ll see them a third time sure!

Look like the band is on good terms with Stapp and lets see how long Stapp’s relationship with the band will last!

Thought: Tinted Windows is one of the best new rock bands out today…

As I said, I bought the new “Tinted Windows” album today, the new supergroup that everyone is talking about being strange and weird. I agree, it’s a weird lineup. That’s the reason it made me pick up the CD ’cause I was curious to hear it myself.

When I put the album in my CD player and listened to it, I was like,”Wow, this is great rock n’ roll”. I’m sure the metal heads, the jam band fans and pop music fans will be laughing at Tinted Windows. I’m sure they’ll call them an emo band with a Hanson singer, but Tinted Windows is “real” rock n’ roll with a true sound. They are pretty tight and fun to listen to. Taylor Hanson is a good rock n’ roll singer.

The kiddie band, Hanson, maybe mainstream and too pop for your tastes, but hey, they were little kids back then, of course, they were going to sound like that. The Hanson brothers are getting older and exploring new projects.

I listened to the “Tinted Windows” debut album like 2 or 3 times in a row, really good stuff. I enjoyed it. If you like old school Talking Heads and Elvis Costello, you would like these guys. That’s what they sound like old school 80’s rock. James Iha’s guitar playing is really good on this album. That’s what I’m most impressed about. If they come around here for their tour, count me there. This is good stuff, pick up the “Tinted Windows” album yourself, and you would realize that I’m right that these guys are really good even though they have a Hanson brother in it. Just because they have a Hanson brother fronting the band, doesn’t mean it’s going suck.

Thought: Will Madonna be the next Christopher Reeve?

I know this may make some out there feel uncomfortable with this post but I gotta get this off my chest. This is the second time Madonna’s been injured horseback riding. She should look back at Christopher Reeve’s past and learn from him. Chris was a horseback rider lover himself, but he got paralyzed for life for it, and now Chris is dead.

I think Madge should think about that, although I think she’ll start riding horses again. Of course, she will.

I guess the horse didn’t like Madge trying to adopt the child from Malawi, gotta look at how karma works. The horse is trying to stop Madge from adopting more children. Although I’m not a fan of horses, I applaud this horse teaching Madge a lesson.
