Cool Video: “Batman: Arkham Asylum 2” trailer surfaces online…

Well, the sequel to “Batman: Arkham  Asylum” is announced already and here is the trailer. The next Batman game will indeed be taken place in Gotham City, where it should have been. Of course, Mark Hammil still does the voice overs for the Joker which is good. Harley Quinn is back for the next one.

I hope we get to see the Riddler and Mr. Freeze, and actually fight them in the next game. In the first “Arkham Asylum” game, the Riddler and Mr. Freeze did not appear in the game, but they left clues representing them, which means they could possibly appear in the sequel.

I’m  happy there is a sequel to “Arkham Asylum”. It probably won’t come out ’til next year or so, but I’m glad there is one coming.

I hope the next game will be much longer and hopefully it will be more challenging.

Do people have too much time on their hands? It appears they do. There is this guy that is a hardcore video gamer. He is a huge fan of the video game, “Love Plus”. He is so obsessed with the character, Nene Anegasaki, that he is going to marry this character. The character is only fictional, not real and in a video game. Is this guy serious? Yes, he’s really doing it.

Who knew that Brad Pitt is into video games? It seems that he is a big time video gamer, if he knows about “Dark Void”. I’m sure he plays video games with his kids, at least. Sounds like an interesting flick.

Wolfenstein (2009)

Earlier this evening, I finally finished the game, “Wolfenstein”, the new one that was just released earlier this year. I was pretty impressed with it. Most of the game was pretty easy but toward the end of the game got wicked hard. I played the game on the “Uber” mode, which means it’s a lot more challenging than the regular “Difficult” mode.

This game is actually a sequel to 2001’s, “Return to Castle Wolfenstein” that was released for the PC/CD-ROM only. As everyone knows, the Wolfenstein games were originally made for the PC years back. The classic “Wolfenstein 3D”, which was one of the very first, first person shooter games ever made which became a huge hit in the early 90’s.

The Wolfenstein games were very controversial, mainly because of its Nazi content. It’s where you play this character named B.J. Blazkowicz and walk around killing any Nazi in sight.

It’s the same with the newer “Wolfenstein” games, except the only thing is, there has been science fiction added to these stories. You fight more monsters in the newer “Wolfenstein” games and use more fictional weapons that are made up.

Back to the new “Wolfenstein” (2009) game, you still get to play the game’s main character, B.J. Blazkowicz. The plot to this game is that you must stop the Nazis from using the power of the Black Sun, so they can have these powers and become stronger. So you must team up with resistance fighters to work with Caroline Becker, to destroy the Nazis and the machine at the Black Sun.

The graphics to the game were good. Storyline was good. Action and gameplay was good, but they made a lot of it too easy for a Wolfenstein game. That’s my only complaint.

My favorite level of the entire game is when I go to the Nazi – Zeppelin blimp thing. That was way cool walking through the Zeppelin to kill Nazis on that thing. They did a good job with that level. The game had a cool ending, and yes I think they did leave open for another game.

The thing that impressed me the most out of the game, was the game’s musical score. This is some of the best musical scoring of a game I ever heard. I think it was the music that got me addicted to the game. The music was definitely Nazi like and kind of creepy.

I hope the video game industry would make a Nazi/World War II type of game that would be more realistic. They shouldn’t rip off Indiana Jones by mixing sci-fi with it. I think these games borrowed so much from “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, it was obvious.

It was a good game. It still could have been a little bit better but I had a fun time with it.

“Batman: Arkham Asylum” is the 2nd best game that I own in my collection…

While I still say that “Bioshock” is the best game ever made, I would like to add that “Batman: Arkham Asylum” is the second best, close behind it. I’ve been playing a lot of, “Arkham Asylum”. The game is absolutely incredible. I’m so blown away and speechless by this game. Such a perfect Batman game.

The graphics are amazing, the sound is great, the voice work is also really good, especially Mark Hamill doing the voice over of the Joker which is awesome.

This is the most addicting game I’ve ever played as I’ve been playing it A LOT. When you see that this blog has slowed down a bit, it’s probably because switching back and forth to video games to fitness. Video games is something I do when I take a break and rest from working out.

In “Arkham Asylum”, is actually a very challenging and difficult game, I like it that way. I always play games in the hard/difficulty modes. I’m still getting pretty far in the game already though.

In my opinion, I think “Arkham Asylum” is definitely the best superhero game ever made. There are a lot of superhero games out there, but most of them suck. “Arkham Asylum”  tops them all. It takes a lot of practice to get the hang of the game and know what you’re doing.

I wish the video game industry would make a decent Superman game that is just as good as this, but most Superman video games suck too.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Batman my entire life and still am. In this game you would see a lot of familiar faces. All the popular Batman villains besides the Joker is in this. That includes, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, etc. Btw, Harley Quinn is voiced by Arleen Sorkin as well. The Riddler does not appear in the game, however, he does leave riddles and stuff leading Batman to some clues.

This game is a must have for all Batman fanatics. If you love Batman and if you don’t have this game yet, what are you waiting for? Get it SOON! You won’t be dissapointed at all. The action and the gameplay is so amazing.

After I beat the game, hopefully soon, I will write more about it.

Cool Video: Assasin’s Creed Lineage, short movie hits youtube…

“Assasin’s Creed Lineage” is a short movie that is based on the hit video game for the PS3/Xbox. The movie has been exclusively released for youtube only.

I actually watched the whole thing and it was actually pretty cool. I never played the two, “Assasin’s Creed” video games, but after seeing this movie makes me want to buy them.

Check it out, this is a very cool movie and cool story.

Thought: “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” brief review…

So this morning, I finally beat, “Ghostbusters – The Video Game”. The game was really good. Not the best of the year though.

The graphics in the game was really good. Action was fun, story was fun. I was most impressed with the game’s home theater surround sound. The sound was incredible on the game.

Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd both wrote the script for the game, this game was originally supposed to be the script for “Ghostbusters 3”, but this plot got turned into a video game instead.

My only complaints is that the bosses at the end of each level were a bit too easy…but they make the ghost battles in the middle of the levels pretty challenging and very hard. I wish they made the bosses more difficult. I’m also dissapointed that there is no Louis Tully and Dana Barrett. I remember Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver both turned down the game, so I can understand why those two characters were written out of the script.

This game was fun and a blast to play, but wish it could have been better. It could have a better ending sequence too.

Will Atari make another “Ghostbusters” video game for a sequel? I’m sure there will be another one. Only thing though, since now the Ghostbusters are mostly focused on recruiting new Ghostbusters and since there is a “Ghostbusters 3” movie in the works, I imagine they’ll make another video game after “Ghostbusters 3” is made and released. In the next video game will probably have the 4 new recruits as the leading characters, not Peter, Egon, Ray and Winston.

Anyhow, in “Ghostbusters – The Video Game”, it stayed true to the first two films. It was similar to the first two films. It added it’s usual mix with comedy, horror, and ghost stories. Yes, this game was actually kind of creepy and scary in some parts, as a few parts made me jump a little bit.

The guy’s voicing the original Ghostbusters: Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd all did a great job.

This is a good game for all Ghostbusters fanatics and I would reccomend it!

In other video game news, now that I finished this game, I will start “Batman: Arkham Asylum” today. Yesterday at Best Buy, I picked up the game, “Demon’s Souls”, a dark fantasy action adventure role playing type of game, I won’t start that game yet though, I want to play “Batman: Arkham Asylum” next.

Report: Beatles Rock Band doesn’t sell well…I’m not surprised by this!

Well, you’ve seen the game has been way overhyped before it’s release. You’ve seen this game advertised all over video game stores and on the internet. Guess what? The game is not such a huge seller after all.

Click here to read more on how much the game sold since it’s release:

http://www.usatoday.com/life/lifestyle/2009-10-19-beatles-game-sales_N.htm

Ouch! I don’t find this a surprise. Why? I think it’s because people are sick of the Beatles and they are way past their time. I like some Beatles songs but not that big of a die hard.

I once said on Twitter I actually tried Beatles Rock Band on a demo at the video game store at the mall. I thought it was kind of cool actually, but it would be nothing I would buy since the guitar and the game for both is way overpriced.

“WET” might be my next game purchase…

I’ve been looking at this game called “WET” online, it’s a third person action adventure game where you play a female character as seen on the cover boxart of this game above.

The game has Eliza Dushku doing the voice overs for, Rubi, the main character. She has three weapons, two pistols and a sword. Malcolm McDowell also does voice overs for a character in this game. This game is supposed to be sexy, gory, and action packed.

I’m reading some great reviews of this game, and so far haven’t really seen anyone said anything negative about it.

See a couple of gameplay footage of the game below. Looks like a blast. I’m thinking of picking this game up next time I go to Best Buy.

Thought: “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” is mind blowing!!

So I’ve started playing, “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” the last couple of days and I’m already becoming hooked to it. The game is pretty amazing so far. The graphics are excellent. The sound is like really impressive on your home theater. The game is also surprisingly very challenging and difficult even if it’s being played in the “profesional” level and I thought the game would be too easy, but it’s not.

It’s great to hear the original voices of Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson doing the voice overs. Listening to those guys in the game, it sounds like they are having a blast playing those characters again and this game shows that they are having fun.

This game is really cool. “Ghostbusters the Video Game” is much like the first movie pretty much.

Thanks to Atari for giving it to us finally! This game rules!
