Tomorrow is a big release day!!!

Two HUGE releases are set for tomorrow. Yes, the “Superman – The Motion Picture Anthology” comes out on Blu Ray (It’s for Blu Ray only, the new “Superman” set won’t be available for DVD, I don’t think) and “Duke Nukem Forever” video game both hits the shelves tomorrow.

Yes, I plan on getting both of these. I will get the “Duke Nukem” game first sometime this week.

I do plan on getting the “Superman” Blu Ray set but I’m going to wait for several weeks to save up cash for it, ’cause obviously the “Superman” Blu Ray set is very expensive. I really want it really fucking badly though ’cause you all know that I’m such a die hard Superman fan. The Superman set looks fantastic. The Superman set doesn’t only have the 5 Superman films which includes Bryan Singer’s “Superman: Returns”, it also has a bunch of Superman animated films and a few documentaries. Plus I heard the sound and the picture of the 5 films is way better than regular DVD. I’m so definitely getting the Superman set sometime, not right now though.

I’m excited for “Duke Nukem”. Glad the release date is staying for June 14th and not being pushed back anymore. The game is finally here! I fuckin’ love “Duke Nukem”, man. Used to be obsessed with the older games back when I was in high school. Used to play the older games on the PC for hours.

The new “Duke Nukem” game will probably sell pretty well. So will the new Superman Blu Ray set.I am noticing that Blu Ray discs are becoming way more popular than regular DVD’s. DVD sales are dropping while Blu Ray sales are going up. I would like to start a Blu Ray collection and buy more but they are pretty pricey. I want to get the Superman Blu Ray so maybe that’ll be the start of my Blu Ray collection. I do have a few Blu Rays. The only Blu Ray discs I have in my movie collection are “WWII in HD” and “Memento – 25th  Anniversary”. I could buy all my favorite movies on Blu Ray and sell the same film on DVD to get rid of it.

I’m just waiting for the prices on the Blu Ray discs to drop down. The prices will drop, the more popular Blu Ray gets, just give it time. It will happen. That’s what happened with DVD when DVD first came. DVD’s were very expensive when they were first invented but DVD prices dropped the more popular they get. Same will happen with Blu Ray.

Cool Video: “Star Trek” video game trailer is now online!!!

Star Trek the Videogame trailer has surfaced the web today, brought to you by IGN. As expected, the game looks impressive. Yes, the trailer does show game play footage from the game.

Hopefully, it’ll be a long game and won’t be too easy to play. I hate those kind of games when you get excited for something, the game turned out to be too short and too easy to finish.

Cool Video: “Batman: Arkham City” game demo viewable online!!!

On Spike TV’s “All Access Live”, they were the first to introduce the game demo for “Batman: Arkham City” the sequel to “Arkham Asylum”. In this demo, you can see game play footage and storyline scenes where they show Catwoman and Two Face. “Arkham City” looks way better than the first game as expected. I can’t wait for this game to come out now.

There are quite a few games coming out this year that I’m looking forward to: “Duke Nukem: Forever” (which comes out next Tuesday), “Dead Island”, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3”, “Resistance 3”, and “Batman: Arkham City”.

Enjoy the footage below.

Report: New “Star Trek” video game is on the way!!!

Last year, Cryptic Studios released a Star Trek game, called, “Star Trek Online”. Which is an online multi-player game for the PC only. Just announced earlier this week, Paramount announced that there will be a new “Star Trek” video game that will be available for the PS3, Xbox, and PC. The new “Star Trek” game will be adapted from JJ Abrams 2009’s “Star Trek” movie. The new game will continue the adventure from that film, and you’ll get to play either Spock or Kirk. The new “Star Trek” game will be released sometime next year in 2012.

More on it, here.

As a huge Star Trek fan, I’m very excited for this, so I’ll definitely be getting it. I wonder if they’re going to have Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine voice for Spock and Kirk?

I’m sure it’ll be a nice game.

Report: Sony announces the Playstation Network is returning tomorrow, can we believe them?

The Playstation Network has been down for so damn long, that you can’t trust Sony anymore. They say the PSN is returning tomorrow, but only certain features will be able to use, like online gaming, playbacks of rented movies, Netflix, Hulu, and other services. The full PSN will be available at the end of this month.

Hopefully, they’re serious. Never know they can take it back down next week.

Report: “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” to be released Nov. 8th of this year!!!

Over at Kokatu.com, they released exclusive details on the next installment to the “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” series. “Modern Warfare 3” will be hitting video game shelves on Nov. 8th of this year. This article promises this game will be better than the first two, but I’m not getting my hopes up. I have feeling it will be the same like the other two but we’ll wait and find out.

I do like “Call of Duty” games, however, I do find the games a bit overrated. I don’t play them for that long like a lot of people. I just play the storyline game, and then play online multiplayer for a little bit, then I’m done. On with a different game.

I’ll probably get this one but I can think of better first person shooter games than “Call of Duty”. Like “Duke Nukem” and “Quake” for example. I also enjoy, the “F.E.A.R.” series. Plus, “Bioshock” is a great first person shooter.

———————————————————————————-

We have discovered that between April 17 and April 19, 2011,
certain PlayStation Network and Qriocity service user account
information was compromised in connection with an illegal and
unauthorized intrusion into our network. In response to this
intrusion, we have:

1) Temporarily turned off PlayStation Network and Qriocity services;

2) Engaged an outside, recognized security firm to conduct a full
and complete investigation into what happened; and

3) Quickly taken steps to enhance security and strengthen our
network infrastructure by rebuilding our system to provide you
with greater protection of your personal information.

We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding and goodwill
as we do whatever it takes to resolve these issues as quickly and
efficiently as practicable.

Although we are still investigating the details of this incident,
we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following
information that you provided: name, address (city, state, zip), country,
email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login,
and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data,
including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip),
and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may
have been obtained. If you have authorized a sub-account for your
dependent, the same data with respect to your dependent may have
been obtained. While there is no evidence at this time that credit
card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility. If you have
provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity,
out of an abundance of caution we are advising you that your credit
card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have
been obtained.

For your security, we encourage you to be especially aware of email,
telephone and postal mail scams that ask for personal or sensitive
information. Sony will not contact you in any way, including by email,
asking for your credit card number, social security number or other
personally identifiable information. If you are asked for this information,
you can be confident Sony is not the entity asking. When the PlayStation
Network and Qriocity services are fully restored, we strongly recommend that
you log on and change your password. Additionally, if you use your PlayStation
Network or Qriocity user name or password for other unrelated services or
accounts, we strongly recommend that you change them as well.

To protect against possible identity theft or other financial loss, we
encourage you to remain vigilant, to review your account statements and
to monitor your credit reports. We are providing the following information
for those who wish to consider it:
– U.S. residents are entitled under U.S. law to one free credit report annually
from each of the three major credit bureaus. To order your free credit report,
visit www.annualcreditreport.com or call toll-free (877) 322-8228.

– We have also provided names and contact information for the three major U.S.
credit bureaus below.  At no charge, U.S. residents can have these credit bureaus
place a “fraud alert” on your file that alerts creditors to take additional steps
to verify your identity prior to granting credit in your name. This service can
make it more difficult for someone to get credit in your name. Note, however,
that because it tells creditors to follow certain procedures to protect you,
it also may delay your ability to obtain credit while the agency verifies your
identity.  As soon as one credit bureau confirms your fraud alert, the others
are notified to place fraud alerts on your file. Should you wish to place a
fraud alert, or should you have any questions regarding your credit report,
please contact any one of the agencies listed below:

Report: *sigh* “Duke Nukem Forever” delayed again for the 20th time, set for a June 14th release date…

Are we ever going to see this game on the shelves? Why are they taking so damn long to release it?

The game is supposed to have a lot more nudity in it, a lot of strippers in the game. Maybe this is the reason for the pushback. If you take a look at this article, there is a multiplayer game called, “Capture the Babe”, where you get to kidnap women and slap them.

More on it, here.

I just love how more video games are trying to have more sexual content in the games. Games like the new “Grand Theft Auto” series, “Heavy Rain”, and the “God of War” games all have nudity in them. “Duke Nukem” wants to take it to the next level.

All the sex is needed in Duke Nukem. Without the sexual content for Duke, then nobody would care. If you’ve played the older Duke games, there were strippers in the older ones but the graphics weren’t as great.

So the question is, when will we ever see this damn game on the shelves? I’ll believe it when I see it.

Report: “Batman: Arkham City” video game release date set for Oct. 18th this year!!!

“Batman: Arkham City”, the release date have been announced today. The game will hit stores in the US, on Oct. 18th of this year.

Can’t wait! The first one, “Arkham Asylum” was very impressive, probably the best Batman game ever made, so far. I’m sure the next one will be even better, so looking forward to playing the next one. I will buy the next game as well.
