Melissa McCarthy is NOW in early talks for “Ghostbusters”…

Like everybody didn’t see this one coming??? I think we all predicted that Melissa McCarthy would be one of the firsts to get casted for “Ghostbusters” and most of us was predictably right. *sigh*

Like most, I don’t want this movie to happen and they should really leave it alone.

Melissa McCarthy Enters Early Talks for Ghostbusters Reboot

It’s probably gonna tank in the box office anyways so no need to worry about it.

Look like Melissa is trying to lose weight for the role as you can see in the photo above so I don’t think we’ll have to worry about a huge woman running around with a proton pack.

The film is still gonna suck, though. They should have killed this movie after Harold Ramis died.

Jennifer Lawrence also considered for “Ghostbusters” role???

I remember when I listed my choice of actresses for the upcoming all-female reboot of “Ghostbusters”, I remember mentioning Jennifer Lawrence being one of them. Look like my prediction on Jennifer Lawrence being one of the new Ghostbusters is gonna be right.

http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/entertainment/film-tv/news/lawrence-i-met-ghostbusters-feig-30823227.html

So far, the new female Ghostbusters is looking like it’s gonna be Rebel Wilson and Jennifer Lawrence. Who are gonna be the other two? I’m glad Jennifer is gonna be in this ’cause after the successful “Hunger Games” franchise, she’s gonna need another big franchise and Ghostbusters is perfect for her. This would make the third big franchise for Jennifer so far she has the “Hunger Games”, “X-Men” and looks like “Ghostbusters” is gonna be next.

Jennifer doesn’t have a comedic background too much but she’ll still make a great Ghostbuster. She could probably do the comedy thing quite well although she mostly does drama and action movies.

Who are the other two ladies gonna be???

Kristen Wiig maybe. Sarah Silverman is not a bad idea as well.

“Ghostbusters” reunion photo 30 years later… minus Harold Ramis…

If Harold Ramis was still alive, I’m sure he would have been in this photo instead of Sigourney Weaver. That’s probably why they put Sigourney in there since Harold is no longer with us.

Anyway… Bill, Ernie and Dan still look great as Ghostbusters. Why does the new Ghostbusters film have to be an all female re-boot when it should be these guys in the leading role? Maybe they’ll still be in it. Who knows. We’ll have to wait and see.

It really is too bad Harold is gone, though. Wish he could have lived longer so he could do this movie with them.

Sony still wants Bill Murray for “Ghostbusters” all-female reboot film…

Sony won’t leave Bill Murray alone on being in the new “Ghostbusters” re-boot film. If you think about it, when Bill responded to the idea that he liked the all-female Ghosbusters… he never really said, “No, he’s not gonna be in it”. He just gave the new plot idea positive feedback. Since the new “Ghostbusters” film will be all female, it’ll be impossible for Bill to have a leading role in the film.

Sony kept bugging Bill to be in the new “Ghostbusters” film and they still are bugging him about it. Bill kept turning it down ’cause he didn’t want to be in another big studio franchise; however, he did say that he is open for a cameo appearance if the script was right. So that means that Bill is not ruling out an appearance in the film. He’s saying never say never.

http://comicbook.com/2014/10/15/sony-wants-bill-murray-in-ghostbusters-reboot-/

I don’t care how long of an appearance Bill Murray gets for the film, I just want him to be involved somehow since it won’t be a “Ghostbusters” movie without him. A cameo for Bill would be fine. I’m all for that!

Ernie Hudson was correct… fans don’t wanna see the “Ghostbusters” all-female reboot…

When you look at feedback from the fans of the new “Ghostbusters” all-female reboot through facebook, blogs and movie forums… you read comments from fans about the new film… you’ll notice immediately that the criticism toward the “Ghostbusters” re-boot is mostly negative. I’m not seeing too much positive feedback at all. Most every response by a user is a negative comment aimed at the new film. This means that Ernie Hudson was correct… fans don’t wanna see it. This is something the fans don’t wanna see.

What the fans originally wanted to see was a third continuation. A third film adding to the trilogy with the 4 original Ghostbusters: Peter, Ray, Egon and Winston. Since Harold Ramis died earlier this year, it’s impossible to make a Ghostbusters reunion happen now.

With all of this negative feedback Sony have gotten over the new Ghostbusters re-boot… Sony doesn’t care. They’re not listening to the fans and Sony is moving ahead with it anyway. So far nobody likes the idea of an all female re-boot. Even women are trashing the all-female idea and female fans want the Ghostbusters to stay as male.

My question is, why was Sony quick on changing the storyline direction to all-female re-boot? Dan Aykroyd originally wanted this to be a continuation of the first two films. So Sony approached Paul Feig to direct in which Paul’s previous films are mostly chick flicks. Paul Feig is obsessed with this all-female thing. Paul gave Sony the idea that he wanted Ghostbusters to be all female… Sony and Dan Aykroyd must of agreed with him. Instead of giving what the fans want, they instead do things that pleases themselves.

As you can see, it’s very difficult and challenging to make a good “Ghostbusters” movie in this day and age. Very hard to pull off. The original Ghostbusters are aging, one of ’em died and the others don’t really wanna do it well except for Dan Aykroyd, he’s the only one that he’s game for it of course ’cause this is his movie.

The thing is, everyone just wants it to be a “true” Ghostbusters movie. The all-female thing is not true Ghostbusters… that’s what everyone is complaining about and I hear them. At first I thought it was a good idea but after thinking about it, I thought to myself… “Eh, maybe they’re right, the all female thing is kind of silly”. They’re just desperate for a box office hit.

Dan is the one who started this project. He’s the who got it going and got everyone together to make it happen. I wish Harold Ramis didn’t die. If he was still here, he would’ve stopped the all-female thing from happening and he would have done what it took to make Ghostbusters fans happy.

Another reason we don’t want this to be a “re-boot” is ’cause there are too many reboots in Hollywood and we’re sick of ’em. We just don’t want this happening to Ghostbusters since the Ghostbusters are considered important classics especially the first one. I can understand why everyone is complaining.

Since Harold died and Bill Murray wants no part of it, Sony should really leave this alone and throw this project in the trash but nope. Sony is committed to this project obviously.

I think it’s interesting of how much controversy that comes out of making the new Ghostbusters. I’m sure Dan Aykroyd will explain more and defend the project when he starts doing interviews again. We’ll soon learn more about the changes of this project.

Fans wanna see a good Ghostbusters movie, that’s all we pretty much want. Come on Dan, speak up and give us some answers!!!

Paul Feig talks more on “Ghostbusters” re-boot…

Originally, Dan Aykroyd visioned this movie as a continuation of some sort, leaving off from where “Ghosbusters II” ended. Dan’s original idea was that he wanted new recruits for the new Ghostbusters… 3 new young males and 1 female being trained by the 4 original Ghostbusters (Ray, Peter, Winston and Egon). Since Harold Ramis passed away, Ivan Reitman stepped down from directing and Bill Murray finally saying “No”… the creative direction spiraled out of control and the story had to make some changes.

After Sony approached director Paul Feig, Paul gave them the idea that he wanted the Ghostbusters to be all female and Sony agreed with the idea.

Paul explains that this new movie is a complete reboot. A new origin story. It will not have anything to do with the previous Ghostbusters films at all. Kind of like “Man of Steel” not having anything to do with the earlier Superman films. Paul doesn’t explain the plot to the new Ghostbusters, he’s keeping it under wraps for now but he does give us some of his ideas a little bit.

Am I the only one who haven’t seen “Bridesmaids” or “The Heat”? I’m not a chick flick kind of guy so I’d probably stay away from these movies and from what I’ve seen both of those movies got mixed reviews.

Even though I am losing interest in the new “Ghostbusters” film, I still hope we get a Louis Tully cameo. Rick Moranis coming back for a short role would be awesome. Seeing the new “Ghostbusters” film for Louis Tully alone would be worth it!!! If Louis Tully comes back that would be good enough to be in line for it.

I’m still betting my money that Melissa McCarthy is gonna be the first one to get casted.

Kev

I’ll have to admit that I’m losing interest in “Ghostbusters III”…

Today it was announced that director Paul Feig is confirmed to helm the new “Ghostbusters” film along w/ Katie Dippold to help him write the script. Like the title of this post says, I’m losing interest in the new Ghostbusters film. I think I started to lose interest in it when Harold Ramis died and Ivan Reitman stepped down. Then Bill Murray finally said no.

Then there’s gonna be the possibility that Melissa McCarthy is gonna be the big star of the film and it’s probably gonna happen. Don’t be surprised. I don’t wanna see a huge woman running around in a Ghostbusters suit running out of breath with a heavy proton pack. I saw one movie with Melissa McCarthy and that was “Identity Thief” and it wasn’t that great. Melissa is not that good of a comedian. It’s not because of her weight at all. It’s just that she’s a bad actress, annoying and not funny.

Since the original Ghostbusters crew: Ramis, Murray and Reitman aren’t gonna be involved then I’m not gonna be interested. This is the reason I think this film is gonna bomb horribly. This is also why I think they’re gonna get Melissa McCarthy for the role hoping to get more people to see it and they know this film is gonna bomb without her. It’s obvious they’re gonna get Melissa for this and don’t be surprised that when they start casting, she’ll be the first one to get announced. I’m betting my money on it.

You figure that Sony would scrap this project after the passing of Harold but nope. Sure enough, they had to continue on. This film is Dan Aykroyd’s baby, he’s the one who got it going so he’s definitely committed to it no matter if the original team is gonna be involved and he doesn’t care about the public’s criticism toward the film… he’s moving forward with it whether people likes it or not.

Most Ghostbusters fans are pretty skeptical with the next film and I hear them. I’ll admit it that I don’t want the film to happen now that Ramis, Murray and Reitman aren’t involved. I’m not interested in a complete re-boot, I was hoping for a continuation with the 4 original Ghostbusters like most fans.

This film is gonna flop hard. I don’t know why Dan is desperate to get this made. Probably needs the money and desperate to get back in the Hollywood spotlight.

Report: Bill Murray claims he haven’t read the “Ghostbusters 3” script…

Not too long ago, Ivan Reitman announced that he sent the script for “Ghostbusters 3”, to Bill Murray to get his approval of the film. Bill recently had an interview with Howard Stern on Sirius. Of course, Howard had to ask  him about the script.

Bill confirmed he does have the script, but he claims he haven’t read it. He says the script have been sitting on his desk at his home office but he doesn’t know how long he haven’t read it. He says he’ll read it at some point because he doesn’t want to hurt people’s feelings who’ve been wanting him to read it.

Read Bill’s full interview with Howard, here.

Come on Billy! Pick up the damn script and read it! I’m pretty sure he has all day to read the script, for some reason he doesn’t want to. As you can see, Bill is STILL being picky with the, “Ghostbusters 3” movie. He’s very difficult about it for whatever reason. I guess Bill wants to make sure that the story is going to work in order for him to give it the greenlight.

It doesn’t take that long to read a movie script. They can take a couple of days to read. I’ve read movie scripts before.

It’ll be a shame if Bill says, “No”, to G3. So hopefully he’ll get around to reading it, lets cross our fingers if he’ll like it enough. I respect Bill’s honesty and keeping things real though. Gotta give that.

Report: Bill Murray says, “Ghostbusters 3” news is a bunch of crock, does that mean a third film is dead?

Bill Murray did a new interview with CQ magazine, and in the magazine, Bill, responds to “Ghostbusters 3” news that’s been hitting the internets. Bill’s response? He calls it a bunch of crock. Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis been plugging in Ghostbusters 3 on the itnernet for months, and after all this time, Bill Murray squashes “Ghostbusters 3” news.

Sorry, Ghostbusters, fans. Looks like a G3 is never gonna happen now.

Thought: “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” brief review…

So this morning, I finally beat, “Ghostbusters – The Video Game”. The game was really good. Not the best of the year though.

The graphics in the game was really good. Action was fun, story was fun. I was most impressed with the game’s home theater surround sound. The sound was incredible on the game.

Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd both wrote the script for the game, this game was originally supposed to be the script for “Ghostbusters 3”, but this plot got turned into a video game instead.

My only complaints is that the bosses at the end of each level were a bit too easy…but they make the ghost battles in the middle of the levels pretty challenging and very hard. I wish they made the bosses more difficult. I’m also dissapointed that there is no Louis Tully and Dana Barrett. I remember Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver both turned down the game, so I can understand why those two characters were written out of the script.

This game was fun and a blast to play, but wish it could have been better. It could have a better ending sequence too.

Will Atari make another “Ghostbusters” video game for a sequel? I’m sure there will be another one. Only thing though, since now the Ghostbusters are mostly focused on recruiting new Ghostbusters and since there is a “Ghostbusters 3” movie in the works, I imagine they’ll make another video game after “Ghostbusters 3” is made and released. In the next video game will probably have the 4 new recruits as the leading characters, not Peter, Egon, Ray and Winston.

Anyhow, in “Ghostbusters – The Video Game”, it stayed true to the first two films. It was similar to the first two films. It added it’s usual mix with comedy, horror, and ghost stories. Yes, this game was actually kind of creepy and scary in some parts, as a few parts made me jump a little bit.

The guy’s voicing the original Ghostbusters: Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd all did a great job.

This is a good game for all Ghostbusters fanatics and I would reccomend it!

In other video game news, now that I finished this game, I will start “Batman: Arkham Asylum” today. Yesterday at Best Buy, I picked up the game, “Demon’s Souls”, a dark fantasy action adventure role playing type of game, I won’t start that game yet though, I want to play “Batman: Arkham Asylum” next.
