Today is Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy” FREE Dr. Pepper Day!!!

“Chinese Democracy” is finally here after a 14 year long wait. As I said, I fucking loved the new album, it is amazing. People would probably hate me for sayin’ this but oh well, I ain’t afraid to voice out my honest music opinions, I personally think “Chinese Democracy” is better than “Apetite For Destruction”. “Destruction” is a good record, but man, that is one of the records you get sick and tired of hearing so many times. “Destruction” is kind of an overrated album, to me “Destruction” is nothing special but I like “Use Your Illusion I and II” more. Hearing “Chinese Democracy” in myspace, I was pretty speechless and knocked out. It’s definitely worth the long wait. Now the album is finally here expect the album to be no. 1 on the Billboard for a few weeks or even more. I personally think “Chinese Democracy” has the potential to be the next biggest selling album in years. So watch out Shania Twain.

For your free Dr. Pepper: go to http://www.drpepper.com/, they have a free Dr. Pepper form up there keeping their promise.

Congrats to Axl.

CD Review: Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy”

Many music fans are trashing the new Guns N’ Roses album “Chinese Democracy” after the band premiering the album in their official myspace page. A lot of people are saying the album is “shit”, “we waited for 14 years for this garbage”, etc. I don’t know if the haters listened to the same record or not, but I thought the album was extremely impressive. I think the 14 years was worth the wait, indeed. Sure, the album does not have the original lineup with Slash, Duff McKagan, etc. but who cares? I personally think the new band defines what Guns N’ Roses is supposed to be.

The songs on the new album, are incredibly tight, Axl sings with a lot of “emotion” and the songs have that intense “in your face” power. There is electronica added to the mix, which what makes the new songs sound different. Axl wanted a different style of Guns N’ Roses. The new Guns N’ Roses sound, not the old sound. It is not the 80’s anymore and the band is evolving with a new sound. Axl’s vocals still hasn’t changed a bit, he still sings like he did back in the earlier days and Axl is still bringing in slow piano ballads as he has always done in the earlier Guns N’ Roses records.

The guitar solos of Bumblefoot is sick and totally knocks me out, I never heard the guy before, and the guy is just amazing. I love the guitar solos on the disc. While I love the entire album, the songs that floored me are: “If the World”, “Catcher In the Rye”, “Madagascar”, “Better”, “Sorry” and “This I Love”.

To those negative people out there trashing the album, you can’t just give the album one quick listen. Just carefully listen to it, and you would see that Axl worked hard on these songs over the years, you would see how amazing they are. It’s a beautiful album. I loved it. Definitely one of the best albums of 2008 and I’ll definitely get my own copy of the album soon. I won’t buy it right away though, ’cause I can’t buy anymore things for myself since the Holidays is just around the corner. I just wrote this album on my Christmas wishlist as a gift from family members so hopefully I’ll get this album under the tree.

I don’t see how anybody could hate this fantastic record. Chinese Democracy definitely adds to the list of Best albums of 2008. The reason Axl took this long because he wanted to take his time with the songs to make it a real good one and I can’t blame him. He wants to make a great record and in order to make a great record with great songs, you must take your time with them.

Score for Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy” = **** (4 stars as in excellent)

I’ll especially give the new Guns N’ Roses a listen tomorrow on myspace. I’ll listen to the Sir Paul one too of course, but I’m more interested in hearing the new Gn’r album. I had planned on buying the “Chinese Democracy” album and I want to listen to the whole thing first in case I want to change my mind.

Report: Brian May dissapointed that he was cut off for Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy” collaboration for a song…

During the 14 years of the making of Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy”, former Queen guitarist Brian May was one of the special guest guitarists who collaborated with Axl Rose for one of the new songs on “Democracy”. Brian May played guitar on the Gn’R song “Catcher In the Rye” one of the new songs off the new album. Axl Rose edited Brian May’s guitar tracks out of the song so the song can have guitar tracks being played by the current band members of Gn’R.

Brian isn’t angry or upset at Axl for the snub but he is dissapointed and a little sad about it. Brian said he was proud of the work he put on Gn’r’s song “Catcher In the Rye”. Brian says he still has the demo of “Catcher In the Rye” with his guitar tracks on the song at home, but Brian will not release his version to the public out of respect for Axl and the band Guns N’ Roses.

See it here at Brian May’s official website:

http://www.brianmay.com/whatsnew.html

That sucks. I feel for Brian. Axl’s ego is still flying high. Shame on you Axl. Axl should release the Brian May version.

Report: Dr. Pepper still sticking to their word about our FREE soda as the company promised!!!

Not too long ago, Dr. Pepper begged and begged Guns N’ Roses to release “Chinese Democracy”. A week later, Axl responded to the Dr. Pepper offer, saying that he is flattered as hell that Dr. Pepper supports the band and the long awaited album. Dr. Pepper desperately wanted Guns N’ Roses to release the album this year. The company is sticking to their word that now that the Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy” release is real, every person in America gets a free Dr. Pepper.

The company explained before that this isn’t a ploy to help promote Dr. Pepper, they really wanted the band to release the long lost album.

On the release date, Nov. 23rd, to get your free can, go to the Dr. Pepper website where you can enter in your information and then they will send you the coupon so you can get a free can of Dr. Pepper anywhere the drink is sold in the USA.

Billboard reports:

How much do you want to bet that if Dr. Pepper didn’t offer Guns N’ Roses this, then the “Chinese Democracy” release would have been even longer to wait?

Axl just had to jump on this opportunity ’cause he knew this would help promote the album, big time.

You think “Chinese Democracy” will bomb in record sales? Hell NO. Not a fucking chance. With Dr. Pepper helping out to promote the album. It has a possibility of being the biggest album in years. It will definitely sell a lot more copies than Metallica’s “Death Magnetic” that’s for sure.

I see “Chinese Democracy” being no. 1 on the Billboard  200 for at least several weeks or a whole friggin’ year.

BREAKING NEWS: Guns N’ Roses confirm “Chinese Democracy” is real….

Right here:

http://web.gunsnroses.com/splash.jsp

They closed down their website with just that front page. So look like they are designing a new website for the “Chinese Democracy” release. You can also hear the album’s title track song in it’s entirey and in profesional sound quality.

I guess Axl wanted the media to confirm “Chinese Democracy” first before the band does so they can let the public know it’s official and real.

Hopefully we will see the album on the Best Buy shelves on Nov. 23rd like they promised. If the release date ever gets pushed back again before that release date, I’m all done with Gn’r completely.

I still won’t believe this until I see the album on the shelves with my own eyes.

The Listening Room: New Guns N’ Roses single “Chinese Democracy”…HEAR IT NOW!!! IT ROCKS!!!

The new Guns N’ Roses single “Chinese Democracy” the album’s title track is online for a free listen.

You can listen to it here:

http://www.q1043.com/pages/news/gunsnroses/

Like I said, just because the band Gn’r doesn’t have it’s original members doesn’t mean the new album will suck.

The new song sounds fucking great. I love it.

Although I’ll admit that this new song sounds like other bands such as Buck Cherry, Stone Temple Pilots, the Foo Fighters, etc. The new Gn’R is good. I dig the vocals, the guitar playing, the solos in the song are especially awesome. An energetic tune.

We can listen to the song better without the advertising audios being played during it though.

Report: New Guns N’ Roses single from “Chinese Democracy” album hits airwaves tomorrow on radio…

Look like “Chinese Democracy” album is becoming a reality finally. The first single off the new Guns N’ Roses album will be released tomorrow. The article here doesn’t say what song they are releasing though. Tune in and find out what song it is tomorrow.

Billboard reports:

http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003876113

How much do you want to bet that it’s either “Shackler’s Revenge” or “Madagascar”?

It’ll probably be “Shackler’s Revenge” to help plug in Rock Band 2.

Thought: Guns N’ Roses, why are they so big in the news?

So the legendary Guns N’ Roses haven’t done much in their career. They’ve been around since the 80’s and they only made 5 albums. “Apetite For Destruction” and “Use Your Illusion I and II” were the band’s three biggest albums in their career while their last album “The Spaghetti Incident” was a major flop.

The band continues to go on world tours over the years and they were still making “Chinese Democracy” while at it, so I wouldn’t really call this a hiatus. Gn’R maybe on a hiatus of releasing new studio albums  but they’ve been still playing music after all these years.

Since the band haven’t done much, why does Axl and Guns N’Roses constantly makes the news all the time? You may think you’re getting sick of Gn’R news and think that “no one cares” about Guns N’ Roses anymore but I disagree.

Why do they continue to make the news in the media and everyone is hating on the band? I’ll tell you why. It’s because the public is afraid to admit that they do “still care” about Guns N’ Roses. Everyone knows they are dying to hear what Axl has in store for the “Chinese Democracy” album. Everyone think the album is going to suck and some people think the album is going to be great. Talking negative on a band is what spreads controversy and it’s something that the media loves.

Metallica and Guns N’ Roses both have one thing in common, both bands gets a lot haters with music fans, lol. The same goes with Metallica. Before “Death Magnetic” was released, while the band was making that album, even though a lot of people hated Metallica, they were afraid to admit that they still cared about the band and they were afraid to listen to “Death Magnetic” because of “St. Anger”. When “Death Magnetic” finally came out, everybody was blown away by the album, and fans gave Metallica a positive direction this time around.

Will the same happen to Guns N’ Roses when “Chinese Democracy” actually comes out this year in Nov? Who knows. That’s how you let the music speak on it’s own. Put the music out there and let the fans do the judging whether they hate your music or love your music. “Chinese Democracy” could be a major flop or a big success.

And just because the original members of Gn’R is no longer with the band like Slash, Duff McKagan, etc. does not mean “Chinese Democracy” will suck, it still has a possibility of being an incredible album. Many people online already heard the songs before it’s released and they say the new album sucks, but you can’t judge this early, maybe those Gn’R songs you heard was just “demos”, not the actual album recording. You have to wait for the album to come out and then do the judging.

I like Guns N’ Roses. I personally think their best albums were “Use Your Illusion I and II”. I do enjoy “Destruction” but it’s kind of overrated. “Gn’R Lies” is also a great record too.

So, Guns N’ Roses have all new members. So what? Big deal. Bands changes members all the time. Even the biggest bands in rock n’ roll history change band members also including the Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Aerosmith, The Smashing Pumpkins and many more to name. People are not going to stay in the same band forever, it’s just the way life and the music world is.

I’m looking forward to hearing “Chinese Democracy” if it’ll actually arrive on the shelves Nov. 23rd. I’m sure it’ll be a good album. Axl Rose is a talented songwriter and unique.
