Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor finally revealed!!!

Entertainment Weekly did an article on the upcoming, “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” film and the magazine exclusively revealed what Jesse Eisenberg looks like as Lex Luthor. I remember when this movie first started happening, people were upset with the casting. People shitted on Zack’s choices as Ben Affleck as Batman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex.

When Zack finally revealed Ben as Batman, people were actually impressed with it after all the hating they did. Now everyone seems to be impressed with Jesse as Lex after all the shit-talking.

What is it with people being so quick to judge negatively on something they haven’t seen and once they see it they treat it all positively all of a sudden? Same thing happened with Zack’s first Superman movie, “Man of Steel”.

It’s really crazy, ya know? All the flip-flopping people do.

Sorry to say but I always had faith in Zack Snyder. The man knows what he’s doing. His casting choices maybe kind of weird, yes but the man is a genius and he knows what he likes and what he doesn’t like. Zack is clearly doing whatever is right for the character and that’s what it’s all about, ya know what I mean?

Can’t wait to see the next film!

Jessie Eisenberg is the new Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons is the new Alfred for “Batman vs. Superman”…

So the big news today in the movie world is that Warner Bros. has found actors to play Lex Luthor and Alfred for the “Batman vs. Superman” film. Jesse Eisenberg who is most-famous for roles like, “Zombieland” and “The Social Network” is the new Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons who is most-famous as the leading villain for the film, “Die Hard With a Vengeance” is the new Alfred Pennyworth.

Sure enough, there are mixed opinions from movie fans about this casting. I’m noticing that people have no problem with Jeremy Irons as the new Alfred and I agree that’s a good choice but everyone has a problem with Jesse Eisenberg playing the new Lex.

Everybody’s complaining that Jesse is too young to playing Lex. I agree that Jesse is young. He’s like 30. Maybe they just want to go for a younger Lex this time around? In the “Man of Steel” film, they changed all the characters. In the first movie, the casting choices sparked some controversy especially the black Perry White who is played by Laurence Fishburne. When the movie came out… people had no problem with the casting and got positive responses.

I see Zack is doing the same thing with “Batman vs. Superman”. Making changes with the characters again. The reason they have to do this is this is Zack’s way of staying away from the Richard Donner/Christopher Reeve films. Maybe they felt that an old Lex Luthor has been done to death so they’re gonna go for a younger Lex which is a good idea.

People are saying hateful things about Jesse playing Lex. People are already going, “uggghhh, this movie officially sucks”.

Do people have to be so opinionated and hateful this soon? I wouldn’t judge this early. I’m not saying whether or not Jesse’s a good choice but who knows, maybe he DOES have what it takes to play Lex. Maybe Jesse does have what it takes to be menacing and evil. I’m gonna wait ’til I see a trailer or something and then I’ll make my opinion on whether Jesse is a good choice or not.

People are quick at judging ’cause that’s the way the internet works. Popular opinion have always been a huge problem online.

I’m willing to give this a chance. I respect and have faith in Zack Snyder ’cause he’s clearly not afraid to go for what he wants for his films, not caring what the public thinks. He just gives what’s right for the film and that’s all I can say.

Film Review: The Social Network

Starring: Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Joseph Mazello, Rooney Mara

Directed by: David Fincher

So tonight, I just saw the movie, “The Social Network”, yes, the Facebook movie. Here is my review.

Plot/Synopsis: This is not a biopic about Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook founder/owner. It’s about how he started the site. The movie is about a young college student, named Mark Zuckerberg who starts a website named, “Facemash” after breaking up with his girlfriend, Erica Albright. It was a site made for Harvard school for male students to decide which two female students are more attractive. Later on in the film, Mark came up with the idea of “The Facebook” a social networking site for Harvard students only where students can have the opportunity to post their personal information publicly. Throughout the film, Mark tries to battle through different lawsuits that were filed by other Harvard students. From there, this is how Mark Zuckerberg is able to create the most popular social networking site in the world, aka, Facebook…still going strong today and the site that made the kid rich.

Well, I was totally surprised by the movie. I definitely think it was the best movie I’ve seen all year long. This is true cinema. The way movies should be made. The script was perfect. Cast was perfect. David Fincher gives the film a dark feel like he usually does with all of his movies, but there was a lot of humor in this film. What I was most impressed the most with the film, was the brilliant acting by the cast. Usually in a movie, you see one or two good actors…but in this one, prettty much the entire cast did an amazing acting job all around. It was some of the best acting by a cast I’ve seen in a long time. Jesse Eisenberg was great. His best role.

Trent Reznor’s score for the movie was pretty haunting and dark. Trent gave the music a moody feeling, just what the film needed.

I wasn’t bored at all with this movie. Didn’t fall asleep or nothing. It was entertaining all the way through. I know this isn’t a long detailed review but if a film is perfect, there’s not much to say about it. This movie definitely does have Oscar award written all over it. It will be best picture of the year for sure. I don’t know if Jesse Eisenberg will win Best Actor for leading role of this flick, but he definitely will get nominated. If there was an actor from this film to win an award, I would hand it to Andrew Garfield who did the best acting job of them all. Andrew Garfield did a jaw dropping performance. That kid is one talented actor. Best Supporting Actor for Andrew Garfield, all the way!

This is David Fincher’s best directed film ever. Most say, Chris Nolan’s “Inception” was the best movie of 2010? No way. This movieĀ  here, “The Social Network” is the best film of the year, in my opinion. I’m glad David Fincher finally did a film that is based on real things instead of all these silly thriller flicks he’s known to do. This film was brilliant. Do yourself a favor and go see it soon if you haven’t yet.

Score for “The Social Network” = **** (4 stars as in “excellent)

Film Review: Zombieland

Starring: Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, and a special surprise guest.

Directed by: Ruben Fleischer

Today, I saw the movie “Zombieland” on my day off of work. There are two movies out in theater now that I want to see. They are either “Zombieland” or Drew Barrymore’s “Whip It”. I just had to see “Zombieland” first. I want to see “Whip It” too, but I will see that next. Here is my review of “Zombieland”.

Plot/Synopsis: Two men who are named Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) and Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) team up to try and survive their life, when the world is taken over by zombies that eats human flesh. Columbus dreams of falling in love with a girl if he ever finds a human one alive, while Tallahassee’s only mission is to eat a snack called a Twinkie which is very hard to find. Later in the film, the two men team up with these two young girls, Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), who are better at fighting off the zombies then the two men are. Plus, there is a very special surprise celebrity cameo guest that won’t be revealed in this review. You will have to see the film yourself to find out.

As expected, I thought the movie was very fun and entertaining, it was great. The movie was funny as hell, and had laughs all the way through. It’s also a mix of horror and action. I thought it was more of an action movie than anything though. The action scenes in the film were brilliant.

The zombies in the film were pretty well made. I wasn’t bored at all in this movie and had a smile on my face throughout the whole film. I was most impressed by Woody Harrelson’s acting in this film. His acting was so good in it.

It told a good story too. This film made you really wonder what it would be like if living dead people really took over this world in real life. I don’t think this is a type of film that George A. Romero would have made. This film was completely different from Romero’s style. I think this was one of the best new zombie movies I’ve seen in a long time.

As far as who is the celebrity guest appearance that made a cameo in the film, I’m not gonna say…but I can give you a few clues…

This guy recently did voice overs for a video game based on a popular movie. He used to be an SNL actor. He was the first special guest on David Letterman’s “The Late Show” in 1982.

“Zombieland” was a blast, fuckin’ loved it! I would reccomend you to see it before it stops playing!

Score for “Zombieland” = **** (4 stars as in “Excellent”)
