Akira is Christopher Nolan’s next big trilogy? Is this his secret Warner Bros. project?

This is pretty cool if true. Chris Nolan’s top secret Warner Bros.project maybe the live action trilogy to “Akira”… the famous Japanese anime series. It’s not yet known if Chris will be the director or not. He might just serve as a producer but it would be cool if he directed them, though. I’ve never seen Akira but I should check it out. I’m not into anime that much. If he directed them, I’m sure he would make them fun and exciting.

Christopher Nolan’s next film will arrive in 2017 but he’s keeping it top secret for now…

Christopher Nolan is planning on making his next film after “Interstellar” but he’s not saying what his next film is gonna be. Yeah, I’m pretty sure this will get people all excited and think this is gonna be another Batman movie but it isn’t gonna be.

http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/09/christopher-nolan-announces-release-date-for-next-film/

I have a few pretty good ideas of what Chris Nolan’s next film will be though. It’s probably gonna be “Ready Player One” the sci-fi film that Steven Spielberg set-up. That’s what Chris is rumored to direct next. Spielberg was gonna direct “Ready Player One” himself but looks like he changed his mind and he’s having someone else do it?

Warner Bros. is trying to offer Chris Nolan to direct the film:

If not “Ready Player One” then it could be Bond 25.

It’s been said that Sony gave up it’s distribution rights to the Bond franchise and W.B.’s Studios may have picked it up:

I could be wrong on both of these but we’ll wait and see.

I’m sure his next movie will have an all-star cast like his movies usually are and I’m sure Michael Caine will be involved once again.

I’m still blown away by the “Interstellar” movie… it really was amazing…

Could Christopher Nolan finally win his first “Best Picture” for his sci-fi epic, “Interstellar”??? I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see. The Academy have never been all that friendly with sci-fi movies over the years with the Oscars. There were several sci-fi movies that got nominated for Best Picture such as “Gravity”, “Inception”, “District 9”, “Avatar”, “E.T.”, “A Clockwork Orange”, “Her”, and the original “Star Wars” movie. Yes, they all got Oscar nominated for Best Picture but of course, none of them got the win. So technically a sci-fi film never won a Best Picture nod before.

Could the Oscars this year make history and give their first sci-fi Best Picture win to “Interstellar”??? Like I said we’ll have to wait and see. I can see “Interstellar” winning for other categories such as Best original screenplay, best sound, best musical score, best cinematography, etc.

I also forgot to mention in my “Interstellar” review that the score to the film was killer. I’ve been impressed with Hans Zimmer as of late. He’s the best musical composer for movies today, in my opinion. I think I’m gonna end up buying the soundtrack for “Interstellar” pretty soon.

I would like to see it in theater again but the new “Hunger Games: Mockingjay” is coming out in a few weeks so I’m probably gonna see that instead. “Interstellar” really was a mind blowing masterpiece.

I’ve followed Christopher Nolan’s movies for years. The man’s a fucking genius for sure. Christopher Nolan is smart and honest. He knows what he wants. He’s very good at trying to get from what he sees in his head to the screen.

I think there’s gonna be a sequel to “Interstellar”, though ’cause the ending kind of left open for another movie. Could “Interstellar” end up being a trilogy of some sorts???

You should really go see the movie before it stops playing. It’s a long one but worth sticking through, trust me. So far, this is the best movie of 2014.

Film Review: “Interstellar”

Starring: Matt McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, John Lithgow
Directed by Christopher Nolan

Today, I’ve just seen “Interstellar” and here is my review…

Plot/Synopsis: In the near future, Earth has been devastated by drought and famine, causing a scarcity in food and extreme changes in climate. When humanity is facing extinction, a mysterious rip in the space-time continuum is discovered, giving mankind the opportunity to widen its lifespan. A group of explorers must travel beyond our solar system in search of a planet that can sustain life. The crew of the Endurance are required to think bigger and go further than any human in history as they embark on an interstellar voyage into the unknown. Coop, the pilot of the Endurance, must decide between seeing his children again and the future of the human race.

Like I said before, I am a huge fan of Christopher Nolan movies. I’ve seen all of his movies even “The Prestige” and “Inception”. Finally, the long-awaited, “Interstellar” hits the theaters and I just saw it today.

Like I predicted, “Interstellar” is another winner for Nolan. No surprise because all of his movies are amazing and so was this one. I would say though that “Interstellar” is definitely the best film of his career. It’s very rare in Hollywood that the writing in movies would be perfect… well the writing in this movie was perfect. In order to appreciate this movie and to be able to understand it, though, you must be a fan of sci-fi.

In this film, you’re not gonna see a popcorn action film. This isn’t Star Wars or a Michael Bay movie. This film is 100% sci-fi. This movie will remind you of films such as “2001: A Space Odysey”, “Solaris”, “Close Encounters”, “Starman”, “Enemy Mine”, “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”, etc. “Interstellar” is gonna be like those kind of movies. So don’t expect “Interstellar” to be full of laser guns and trying to survive against aliens.

I thought the acting by everyone was phenomenal. Like usual, Nolan is genius at choosing his casting. I thought this was Matt McConaughey’s best role. John Lithgow has a very short role in this movie but he still killed it like usual. Lithgow have been one of my favorite actors for a long time. There’s also a surprise cameo appearance by an actor named William Devane who is mostly famous for James Heller in “24”. Matt Damon also has a role. I’m not a big Matt Damon fan but his role was pretty interesting in this film. I actually liked Matt in that role that he played. I don’t wanna give too much away.

The movie was 3 hours long… yeah, it’s a long one but I wasn’t bored one bit. I didn’t yawn at all and kept my eyes on the screen throughout the whole thing. I didn’t fall asleep, thankfully. This film has Nolan’s most impressive film making, yet. The visuals and cinematography were mind blowing. Do you think the visuals and cinematography were impressive in, “Inception”? Well, you haven’t seen anything yet!!! Wait until you see what “Interstellar” looks like.

This is also a pretty sad film, though as I’ll admit it… I almost had tears myself walking out of the theater. This was a beautifully made film and it’s a masterpiece by Nolan. It’s gonna get some Oscar nominations. Not sure if it’ll get a nod for “Best Picture” but ya never know. I hope it’ll at least get a nomination for “Best Picture”. This film was definitely way better than “Gravity”.

The story to “Interstellar” maybe hard to follow and the story will get weird but like I said, you have to be a fan of sci-fi in order to get it. You shouldn’t just see this film just because your favorite actor is in it. I thought the film was amazing. So far, this is definitely the best film of the year and I’m definitely gonna get the BluRay when it comes out.

Definitely go see this one. I’ll give “Interstellar” a score of 5 out of 5 as in excellent!!!

Gonna see the movie “Interstellar” tomorrow…

The next movie I’m planning on seeing in theater is Christopher Nolan’s new flick, “Interstellar”, the new sci-fi movie with Matt McConaughey and Ann Hathaway. I’m looking forward to that one. As some of you know, I am a huge Christopher Nolan fan. He’s one of my favorite directors and I’ve watched all of his movies in the past.

While Nolan has done a great job with the three Batman movies, I’m glad he’s finally done with the Batman films. People want Nolan to keep doing more but hey, give the guy a break, ya know? Chris Nolan is a film maker and storyteller. He’s gonna wanna move on to other things at some point and he finally did exactly that after more than a decade of making Batman movies. I can’t blame him for wanting to move on and he must of finally gotten sick of it. Let him make other movies. He can tell other great stories besides Batman.

I’m looking forward to “Interstellar” tomorrow. Yeah, the movie is 3 hours long but knowing how Christopher Nolan movies are, he’s good at making long movies that feel like they’re short if you know what I mean. The Batman films were like 2 hours and 45 minutes, the pacing went by pretty fast. Nolan is a genius at that.

I love Nolan’s directing style and he’s a good storyteller. I’m not lying when I said I’ve seen all of his movies. I’ve even seen his very first film, “Following” which is also very good. So far, I think Nolan’s best films are “Memento” and “The Dark Knight: Rises” but that opinion could change when I see “Interstellar” tomorrow. “Interstellar” is gonna be long but I’m gonna stick through it. Looking forward to it and will review it, of course.

I’ve been looking forward to “Interstellar” ever since the film has been announced which was like what, a year ago?

Jessie Eisenberg is the new Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons is the new Alfred for “Batman vs. Superman”…

So the big news today in the movie world is that Warner Bros. has found actors to play Lex Luthor and Alfred for the “Batman vs. Superman” film. Jesse Eisenberg who is most-famous for roles like, “Zombieland” and “The Social Network” is the new Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons who is most-famous as the leading villain for the film, “Die Hard With a Vengeance” is the new Alfred Pennyworth.

Sure enough, there are mixed opinions from movie fans about this casting. I’m noticing that people have no problem with Jeremy Irons as the new Alfred and I agree that’s a good choice but everyone has a problem with Jesse Eisenberg playing the new Lex.

Everybody’s complaining that Jesse is too young to playing Lex. I agree that Jesse is young. He’s like 30. Maybe they just want to go for a younger Lex this time around? In the “Man of Steel” film, they changed all the characters. In the first movie, the casting choices sparked some controversy especially the black Perry White who is played by Laurence Fishburne. When the movie came out… people had no problem with the casting and got positive responses.

I see Zack is doing the same thing with “Batman vs. Superman”. Making changes with the characters again. The reason they have to do this is this is Zack’s way of staying away from the Richard Donner/Christopher Reeve films. Maybe they felt that an old Lex Luthor has been done to death so they’re gonna go for a younger Lex which is a good idea.

People are saying hateful things about Jesse playing Lex. People are already going, “uggghhh, this movie officially sucks”.

Do people have to be so opinionated and hateful this soon? I wouldn’t judge this early. I’m not saying whether or not Jesse’s a good choice but who knows, maybe he DOES have what it takes to play Lex. Maybe Jesse does have what it takes to be menacing and evil. I’m gonna wait ’til I see a trailer or something and then I’ll make my opinion on whether Jesse is a good choice or not.

People are quick at judging ’cause that’s the way the internet works. Popular opinion have always been a huge problem online.

I’m willing to give this a chance. I respect and have faith in Zack Snyder ’cause he’s clearly not afraid to go for what he wants for his films, not caring what the public thinks. He just gives what’s right for the film and that’s all I can say.

Kev

Why movie fans shouldn’t be hateful about Ben Affleck playing Batman…

So the big news that the upcoming, “Superman vs. Batman” movie has been pushed way back to the Spring of 2016. The reason for this move is that Warner Bros. didn’t want this film to compete with the new “Peter Pan” movie ’cause you can betcha, “Peter Pan”, will be a huge box office movie and also, WB’s wanted to compete against Marvel for the “X-Men: Apocalypse” movie being released around the film’s new release date. Sure enough, this got movie fans all excited thinking that this move is going to replace Ben Affleck ’cause of his rumored injured leg. Movie fans in facebook and other movie sites has been saying hateful things about Ben Affleck, it’s crazy.

Ya know, I’m all for Ben Affleck playing Batman and I’m willing to give him a chance. You can’t badly judge him ’cause of his “Daredevil” role. Yes, he wasn’t the greatest as Daredevil, I agree that film was horrible but that film was in the past. Ben’s acting has improved and matured ever since then. Ever see, “Argo”, and “The Town”? He was phenomenal in those films.

When it comes to film, I try not to follow popular opinion. I’m all about MY opinion and my OPINION alone. I’m not gonna dislike this actor and dislike that movie ’cause many others dislike it. I’m all about being real. I don’t jump the bandwagon.

If you give him a chance, I think Ben is gonna make a great Batman. I think everyone will agree once the movie comes out. Zack Snyder knows his actors, he’s good at choosing them. He doesn’t pick an actor for no reason so when he picked Ben Affleck for Batman then there must be something about him. The thing is, I’m tired of all the good looking and pretty looking actors playing Bruce Wayne/Batman. Time for something different and unique. With Ben’s version of Batman… I don’t think you’re gonna see the Dark Knight character ever again. I think this Batman will have a different costume and new look. Zack changed all the characters for “Man of Steel”, he’ll do the same with Batman and Wonder Woman.

I wish movie fans wouldn’t be so opinionated and hateful. They shouldn’t badly judge when the movie haven’t even came out yet. At least wait until you see Ben in the new batsuit and then you might have a different opinion on him.

With all this being said, I think Ben is gonna kill it as the new Batman. It could be the Batman that we’ve all been looking for… just wait. Don’t judge this soon. Wait until you see photos, a trailer, etc.

If you look at Ben’s face, you can clearly see that a face like that is good for a mask… it is probably his mouth. When Ben wore the nun mask for, “The Town” film, I think that is partly what helped him get the Batman role. There’s something about Ben wearing the Batman costume that made them want to hire him. When the film crew are auditioning for actors to play in Superhero films the key for them getting the role is how good they look in the costume. If they look good enough, chances are, they’re gonna get hired. That’s the first thing they look at is how good they look in a costume. That’s how Henry Cavill got the role for “Man of Steel”.

Give Ben a chance. I have total faith in him and I think Ben is gonna play the better Batman than all the previous ones: Keaton, Clooney, Kilmer, and Bale. Trust me, Ben will make a great Batman.

Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” trailer arrives online!!!

When Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” was first announced last year, I’m sure everybody expected it to be a dark & scary sci-fi with impressive visual effects and CGI and stuff — kind of like Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” — turns out that “Interstellar” looks to be a more realistic space movie. “Interstellar” looks interesting to me so I’m looking forward to it. It has a large cast of big name actors.

Enjoy.

The internet bashed Heath Ledger when he was first announced as the Joker… check here for proof…

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm….

Check this out, read the fan comments this article at RottenTomatoes and tell me what you see. The comments aren’t so kind are they? Now look what happened. People loved Heath as the Joker when “The Dark Knight” first came out.

I think it’s unfair and wrong that people have to be so critical over Ben. Ben’s so called bad-acting was years ago. His acting has greatly improved over the last 10 years or so. People loved Ben in “The Town” and “Argo” which both were great flicks but now they don’t want him as Batman?

People maybe skeptical now but I think people will love Ben as Batman. Ben is gonna kill it, I’m sure. When Ben was hired for Batman, he must of auditioned for it and Zach Snyder must of loved him. Make no mistake people. Zach knows his actors. He did a good job casting for the first, “Man of Steel” movie. I’m sure he won’t disappoint with the sequel.

People were skeptical of “Man of Steel” film itself but when that movie came out, the film got nothing but positive reviews. Zach Snyder likes to trick people like this. He has pulled stuff like this before with his older movies. Do controversial things and people end up liking it later.

I don’t get all the hate. It’s just a lot of bandwagon jumping — people siding with popular opinion.

Ben will know what to do with the role. I can’t wait to see how he’s gonna pull it off. You can’t badly judge him just because you didn’t like him in “Daredevil”. That film was years ago and Ben was younger back in those days. I totally support Ben as Batman.
