Report: Liam Neeson hints at a “Taken” sequel…

Actor, Liam Neeson, is the first to drop the big news that there are plans for a “Taken” sequel. “Taken” is a James Bond/Jason Bourne like action flick which is about a father out to rescue his kidnapped daughter from gangs himself. The film was written by Luc Besson and directed by Pierre Morel. Liam says to MTV that he is in talks with Luc Besson to discuss ideas and the plot for a possible sequel.

More on it here:

While I did love the movie, “Taken”, it was a very entertaining film, I hope the next one will be longer. The first “Taken” was too short. I wanted more. Liam Neeson makes a badass action hero. I kind of had a feeling there is going to be a sequel to this film ever since the first one came out.

Who will get kidnapped in the second movie? I hope they don’t do a kidnapped girl again ’cause that would be boring. I think it would be an interesting plot if Bryan Mills (Liam’s character) gets kidnapped himself and he has to find out a way to escape from the badguys. It would be the same gangs from the first one out to seek revenge on him. Start right off from the last one. Anyhow, can’t wait to see what the real plot will be! I hope it’ll be something different!

Film Review: Clash of the Titans

Starring: Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes

Directed by: Louis Letterier

So I’ve just seen the “Clash of the Titans” remake earlier tonight. I saw the 2D version, didn’t see it in 3D. I didn’t buy anything, didn’t do any shopping, just saw a movie today, that was it.

On with my review:

Plot/Synopsis: The story has a similar plot idea from the original but it is slightly different. In this version, Persues is raised as a fisherman who is about to go to war that killed his family. Hades is the one that killed his family and Persues wants to kill him for revenge. Persues tries to get an army together to try and destroy the Kraken monster.

I will never forget that post I made about “War of the Gods” vs. “Clash of the Titans”, saying that “Clash of the Titans” remake should never be touched and “War of the Gods” look better (not the video game adaptation). I was right. I knew right from the start, that “Clash of the Titans” remake was going to suck…and it did. It sucked hard. It possibly the worst remake ever made. I’ve seen many remakes over the years, but I like most of them. “Clash of the Titans” was just pure shit. It was that bad.

The reasons? For starters, Sam Worthington is a terrible choice for a leading actor for Persues. Sam Worthington is a bad actor. I don’t like him too much. I would prefer Paul Walker, Christian Bale or Vin Diesel to play Persues over Sam Worthington. The film was a whole mess all around. Yes it did have action like the original. It did have family humor like the original. It had a mix of scary and dark scenes like the original. It even had a bit of romance like the original.

The few main things that upset me the most in the film were Medusa and the film having no, Bubo the Owl. Why Medusa? If you’ve seen the 1981 original film with Harry Hamlin like I’ve had, the original Medusa is supposed to be very scary looking. As a kid, when I used to watch the original so many times, I used to get scared by the Medusa in the original. That’s it, she’s supposed to be scary as HELL. I didn’t find the new Medusa in the remake, scary one bit. She was almost like a cartoon character. They totally ruined the Medusa scene in the remake.

About Bubo the Owl, if you’ve seen the original, that character was the most important part of the story. Bubo helped Persues along with his adventure. Bubo is that metal owl character you seen in the original. You guess that right, Bubo wasn’t in the remake. Which is probably one of the main reasons I hated the remake. No Bubo, No Clash of the Titans. End of story.

The Kraken was actually kind of cool looking in the remake though, but the scene wasn’t that long. The only good thing about the movie though, is Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes playing in the same scenes together. They stoled the show. The last movie Neeson and Fiennes starred together was Spielberg’s “Schindler’s List”. It was good to see them together again. My question is, why is this movie such a hit? So many people are wasting their $10 on a crapfest remake and I which I can get my $10 back.

Score for “Clash of the Titans” = * (1 star as in “poor”)

Cool Video: The A-Team trailer…

Well, here it is, the first teaser of the “A-team” movie. My thoughts? It’s look great, count me in the theater for this one definitely as I am a massive fan of the TV show. My only complaint is Rampage Jackson being Mr. T when I agree with everyone else, B.A. Baracus can only be played by Mr. T and no one else. Quinton Jackson just doesn’t work and he’s not the right fit. Other than that, I’m happy with the rest of the cast. Liam Neeson is perfect for Hannibal. Bradley Cooper is perfect for Faceman and Sharlto Copley is perfect for Murdoch which all three are an exact match. Nobody can copy Mr. T though. The film overall looks good. Looks like a fun action ride. Definitely excited for this one!

Cool Video: “Clash of the Titans” movie, I once trashed this remake, now I’m looking forward to it!!!

I remember I keep trashing this movie, saying that there is no need for a “Clash of the Titans”, remake since the original is so good. Now I say, bring on the remake! The trailer surfaced the internets. Here it is. Enjoy. I fuckin’ loved the trailer. Felt goosebumps. The movie looks freakin’ sweet and now I’m excited to see this. Consider me at the theaters for this film, definitely!

This film looks way better than the overrated, “300” movie.

Report: Liam Neeson joins, “The Next Three Days” thriller…

Man, Liam Neeson has been keeping himself busy in Hollywood these days. He’s just going to keep getting even busier. Liam just joined, “The Next Three Days” thriller, which the film will be directed by Paul Haggis for Lionsgate studios. Liam will play a writer who’s broken out of jail several times and he helps a school teacher whose wife is arrested for a gruesome murder, they team to help break her out of jail. Liam Neeson will star alongside, Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks. Brian Dennehy and Daniel Stern will also star.

Liam Neeson finished filming “Clash of the Titans” and “After Life”. He is now currently filming, “The A-Team” remake.

“Next Three Days”, sounds like another box office hit. I’m sure there will be action scenes in the film that Liam will be involved in ’cause of his action thriller in, “Taken”.

Great to see Brian Dennehy still acting, maybe there’s a chance that he will return as Will Teasle for “Rambo V” if Sly writes him in? Sounds to me that Brian Dennehy will play the warden of the prison that they will break the teacher’s wife out of jail.

First look at the A-Team remake…photos…

The A-Team has finally started filming with cast members. See how the characters are just an exact match from the original TV series. Liam Neeson looks exactly like George Peppard as Hannibal as I expected. Rampage Jackson looks exactly like Mr. T, Bradley Cooper is an exact match to Faceman Peck, and Sharlto Copley as Murdock.

See the rest of the pics here:

Very cool.

Maybe the A-Team movie would actually be promising and it’s getting better looking at the photos.

Report: Liam Neeson and Bono team for “The Virgin of Las Vegas” film…

Parallel Pictures is making a film titled, “The Virgin of Las Vegas”, which is about an aging rock band singer who is prone to drinking and living in Las Vegas. Liam Neeson is attached to star, Bono will produce. This film will mostly be about Irish bands that became popular in the U.S. who came from Ireland. Liam Neeson is from Ireland, just like Bono.

Liam singing his own vocals in a band in this movie? Interesting. Bono is probably coaching him onto singing.

Thought: More on the reason Liam Neeson was picked for Hannibal…

Like I said before, it’s the face of both Liam Neeson and George Peppard which are almost an exact match! Not only that, their speaking voices are very similar too!

Why didn’t they pick Bruce Willis or George Clooney? Probably ’cause their face didn’t match George Peppard and they found that Liam is a perfect fit.

Liam is going to be awesome as Hannibal. You may not think it, but like it or not, Liam is perfect for the role. With the great acting skills that Liam has, I think he’ll nail down the Hannibal role, dead on, just you wait! As a matter of fact, Liam’s character in the action flick “Taken”, reminded me of Hannibal of the A-Team.

I can definitely see Liam lighting up his cigar and saying the famous catch phrase, “Get yourself a team”. George Peppard died of cancer in real life, so doing this A-Team remake would be a nice tribute for George. Liam is a great pick for honoring the man!

BREAKING NEWS: Liam Neeson in talks to play Hannibal in “A-Team” movie!!!!

Well, it looks like 20th Century Fox found their Hannibal for the “A-Team” movie, that would be no one other than Liam Neeson. Bradley Cooper is also in talks to play Faceman Peck.

I think Liam is a perfect fit for Hannibal. Look at the two pictures above. Notice the similarities? The eyes look the same and the smile is similar too. They’ll probably give Liam a different hair color to match Hannibal’s from the TV show, give him that cigar, the black gloves, the clothes, and there’s a perfect match.

20th Century Fox probably loved what Liam did in the movie “Taken”, and they figure he’s capable of doing action flicks at this age. Liam Neeson is currently filming “Clash of the Titans” remake since returning to work from his small hiatus, since the death of his wife, Natasha Richardson.

Thought: “Clash of the Titans” remake is looking like a remake of “300” so far…

Here is Sam Worthington as Persues in the “Clash of the Titans” remake…

Notice the similarities of the other Greek film, “300”, that starred Gerard Butler.

I know “300” is a popular movie, and a lot of people like it, sorry to say, but I didn’t like it too much. “300” felt like too much of a video game to me, and it looks like “Clash of the Titans” remake is heading to that same root.

I’ve been saying from day 1 that “Clash of the Titans” remake is a bad idea, and I still stand by it. The only reason I would go see it, is to just see Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes playing in the same movie together again, that would be the only good reason to see it.
