I look forward to anything Burton and Depp do together. I will see “Alice In Wonderland” in theater and I will see “Dark Shadows” in theater as well.

“Dark Shadows” also happens to be an all time favorite TV show of mine. I used to watch it all the time on the Sci-Fi channel.

Brock’s Top 5 Worst Films of 2008!!!

Here are my top 5 choices for worst films of this year…films I didn’t like…

1. Burn After Reading

This was the biggest piece of crap I’ve seen all year long. The Coen Bros. worst film ever made. Were they trippin’ on drugs when they made this? They made Brad Pitt and George Clooney look like sissies in this flick.

2. Wanted

A favorite actress of mine who starred in  one of her worst films ever made. I never liked this film at all. While the movie is action packed, too much CGI that the film almost looked cartoonish to me. Don’t waste your time on it.

3. Vantage Point

A film I thought would be very promising and very good, but I wasn’t impressed with this film. It was boring. Only good thing about it was Dennis Quaid’s acting but the rest of the movie itself wasn’t very good. I didn’ t like how the script was written.

4. The Forbidden Kingdom

Action flick that stars Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Thought the film would be fun and action packed but it wasn’t. It was more about the storytelling with only very few action scenes. Giving this film a thumbs down.

5. 10,000 B.C.

I thought this film was ok, but nothing special or amazing, it’s definitely a wait for DVD type of thing. Not seeing in the theater. Again, I thought this film would be pretty promising by seeing the trailers and stuff, but when I saw this film in theater, I wasn’t that impressed. The film kind of bored me.

There’s my list. Enjoy.

Brock’s Top 5 Best Films of 2008!!!

Well, it is the last month of the year 2008 already. Do you know what that means? This means, it is time to pick my top 5 best and worst films of 2008!!! I’ve seen a lot of movies this year that came out in 2008 so I wanted to tell you what I liked and didn’t like. Today I will start off with my top 5 choices for best films. I will talk about them in order:

Brock’s Top 5 Best Movies of 2008:

1. The Dark Knight

The best film of the year, I would say. This movie is a masterpiece. Not just for Heath’s acting as the Joker which is also amazing, I just love the entire movie overall. I am out of my mind how well Christopher Nolan saved the Batman franchise. Thank you Chris, Thank you!!!!

2. Rambo

This movie got mixed reviews by critics and regular fans, but I don’t care what anyone else says, I judge movies by my own opinion alone. I thought this film was a masterpiece too. It’s the way action movies are supposed to be today. Sly knows how an action movie is supposed to work and he did a great job with Rambo. It also tells a powerful story about Burma. Sly is a great film maker. I love this film to death.

3. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Again, this film got mixed reviews by critics and regular fans, this another movie you either love or hate, but oh well, I LOVED IT!! I thought Indy 4 was amazing. People don’t like the sci fi mixed in with aliens, but people just don’t understand that Spielberg is always putting aliens in pretty much everyone of his movies. Spielberg always had a fascination with UFO’s and aliens. He wanted to mix that in with Indy which makes it an original story and different. This film is extremely entertaining and the storytelling is just fantastic. Sure, some of the movie is silly and didn’t make any sense, but hey, it’s just a movie right? If you don’t take it seriously, you would enjoy it and have fun. 🙂

4. Changeling

Clint Eastwood is back with another film that stars my favorite actress Angelina Jolie which she plays a troubled single mother trying to find her missing son. This film makes the top 5 indeed. It’s a wonderful movie and as usual Angelina’s acting is always amazing when she does the serious drama stuff.

5. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

The Chronicles of Narnia films keep getting better and better. “Prince Caspian” is just absolutely mind blowing and this film is a masterpiece as well. The violence and action in this flick is actually pretty intense. The story itself is actually very good and cast does a good acting job.

Enjoy the list. “Iron Man” is good but not good enough to make my top 5 so don’t complain to me that it didn’t make it up there. I will have the 5 Worst Films of 2008 up tomorrow.

Hmmmm, Mike Patton scoring for an action flick, interesting. I’m sure he’ll capture the music perfectly for the film. And it’s good to see Corey Haim coming back to the big screen finally.

I have never even seen the first “Crank” film yet.

Report: Kristen Stewart to play Joan Jett in “The Runaways” biopic…

“Twilight’s” leading star Kristen Stewart is set to portray the legendary punk rocker, Joan Jett in “The Runaways” biopic. The Runaways were a manufactured rock n’ roll all girly band that was formed by Joan Jett and Sandy West, Kim Fowley managed the band and had total control. Other members included Lita Ford, Micki Steele, Peggy Foster, Vicki Blue, and more. The band were together for four years but broke up due to management and money issues.

Joan Jett went on to form the Blackhearts which she wrote many memorable hits such as “I Love Rock N’ Roll” and plenty more. The film “The Runaways” will begin filming early in 2009 hoping to finish before Kristen goes to work on the next “Twilight” sequel, “New Moon”. Joan Jett the legend herself will be executive producer for “The Runaways” film, will she have a small cameo in the film as well? Who knows!

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

It will be interesting to see who is going to play Lita Ford. Hope it won’t be Britney Spears.

I wonder if Kristen will have to learn to play guitar and sing for her Joan Jett role?

Two different directors were confirmed to direct the “Halloween” remake sequel, but both of them parted ways with Dimension Films, which leaves the door open for anybody to direct “Halloween 2”. Trancas International is reporting the possibility that Rob Zombie may direct the sequel. “Halloween 2” begins filming this coming March but a press release will be made public in a few days on whether or not Rob Zombie is on board.

More on it here:

I hope it’s true that Rob Zombie is coming back. He did an excellent job with the first one and he won’t dissapoint the sequel either. I hope Zombie is still on board!!

I’ve been hearing that Rob is going back to his solo music career soon, so I don’t know, but we’ll wait and see what happens.

I can’t see the sequel being made without him.
