A few set photos of all-female “Ghostbusters” released…

What is that new Ghostbusters gadget that Melissa McCarthy is holding? Looks like a new ghost trap to me.

It’s already looking kind of interesting, actually. Despite the negative feedback it’s mostly getting. I’m willing to give it a chance. When we get our first teaser trailer of this movie, I’ll make a decision on whether or not I should see it in theater. I’m sure we’ll get our first trailer pretty soon. They’re probably getting prepared for San Diego Comic Con this year so they can reveal some footage and clips there so that’s probably why they scheduled filming early.

Dan Aykroyd continues to ignore critics of all-female “Ghostbusters” and keeps praising the hell out of it…

I’m sure Dan Aykroyd knows that nobody wants to see the all-female “Ghostbusters” reboot. It’s pretty clear that he doesn’t care. He seems pretty committed to this movie and still moving forward with it.

Here’s his latest response…

“Yeah, it’s going to be hot! The new one’s going to be big! The interplay, and with each of them, their individual voices are so well defined. They’re just such different characters, and there’s a friction. There’s a dynamic there. I’m not going to spoil it for people, but it’s going to be big, big!” – Dan Aykroyd

Maybe Dan is just trying to tell us, “Settle down people, you won’t be disappointed at all!!!”

He could be right, though. Maybe the all-female “Ghostbusters” will turn out very enjoyable after all. We’ll have to see the movie for ourselves and not badly judge this early. I’ll give it a chance, I guess.

Chris Hemsworth joins Paul Feig’s “Ghostbusters” reboot…

Chris Hemsworth has joined the Paul Feig’s “Ghostbusters” reboot and Chris will be playing the Ghostbusters receptionist. The Ghostbusters receptionist was previously played by Annie Potts in “Ghostbusters I and II”.

Anything to get women interested in the film, I guess. How much do you wanna bet that Chris is gonna have at least one scene where he’s gonna be shirtless or have a scene where he’s wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around him just to get the women going?  One of the female “Ghostbusters” will have a romantic interest in the male receptionist? Chris’s character won’t have a romantic relationship with Melissa McCarthy’s character but he’ll probably be all romantic with one of the other three females… maybe with Kristen Wiig or Kate McKinnon.

I’m skeptical of this movie like everyone else but who knows… maybe when the first trailer comes out, it may look good after all. We’ll have to wait and see.

Do you think Sony would be successful in expanding the “Ghostbusters” universe???

This article at Deadline is an interesting read…

Sony Plans New ‘Ghostbusters’ Film With Russo Brothers, Channing Tatum & ‘IM3’ Scribe Drew Pearce

Ivan Reitman and Sony wants to expand the Ghostbusters universe. They don’t want to leave the first two films as is at all. They want to turn Ghostbusters into a big franchise. More films, TV shows, cartoon series, video games, merchandise, etc. In other words this is what Disney is doing with “Star Wars”. This is what New Line Cinema has done with the “Lord of the Rings” franchise.

First we get the Paul Feig all-female “Ghostbusters” with Melissa McCarthy and all them — that film is still happening. Now there’s gonna be an all-male version with the Russo brothers helming and Channing Tatum may star along with a rumored Chris Pratt.

What do you think? Do you think “Ghostbusters” would be successful without the original cast?

To be honest, as much as I don’t like them continuing on without the original cast… yes, I think “Ghostbusters” will be VERY successful even without the original cast. I mean… “Ghostbusters” was already a big franchise around the time the first two films came out. They even had a few cartoon series.

Keep in mind, we have a new generation of movie goers and I’m sure this new generation have never even seen the two originals. Once people go see these new films, it could draw more people to the originals and I think that’s the goal. When Paul Feig’s all-female “Ghostbusters” film come out, you know all of us are gonna flock to see it anyways, out of curiosity. I’m predicting that once the teaser trailer for Feig’s “Ghostbusters” comes out, everybody is gonna be all over it.

Thinking about it a while, movie franchises moving on without the original cast and crew is nothing new. That’s what the Terminator did. “Robocop” continued on and continued to be successful even without Peter Weller.

Like they all say, the shows gotta go on. That’s how the movie business works.

Will I go see the all-female “Ghostbusters”? I’m gonna wait to see the upcoming trailers first and then I’ll make a decision. You really shouldn’t judge early.

Dan Aykroyd finally speaks on new all-female “Ghostbusters”… he praises the casting but ignores the fans requests to “leave it” alone…

Dan Aykroyd finally releases statement now that the casting have been revealed and he says the casting is “magnificent”. It’s pretty clear that Dan and Sony studios are not listening to the fans commentary. They are pretty desperate in getting this film made for sure. There are too many fans begging them to leave this film alone but it’s obvious the crew behind the new “Ghostbusters” don’t care what the fans think. It’s pretty amazing isn’t it?

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/dan-aykroyd-new-ghostbusters-cast-767943?facebook_20150128

Last time I checked, Dan have been talking about for years that he originally wanted the original Ghostbusters to pass the torch to three males and 1 female, I think. Originally they wanted this film to be a continuation, not a reboot but since Harold Ramis died and Ivan Reitman pulled out… there have been sudden changes.

I think the only reason they’re making this all-female is that their delusional minds, an all-female Ghostbusters would be a “hit”. Well all the long time Ghostbusters fans have responded and they’re not welcoming that idea. Nobody wants this to happen.

Will any of the original “Ghostbusters” be involved? I wouldn’t be surprised that Bill Murray will finally agree to sign on to it just to draw people into to see this but even Bill being in it wouldn’t be able to save it.

We wanted the original 4 in the film but since Harold passed away they should have killed the project altogether. I hope this film flops hard.

All female Ghostbusters cast finally revealed and it sucks!!!

What happened to Rebel Wilson? They decided they didn’t want her — either that or she turned it down or what?

Anyway, we all knew that Melissa McCarthy is gonna be involved ’cause Paul Feig worked on a few movies with her in the past. I’m not happy with the rest of the cast, though.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/new-all-female-ghostbusters-cast-767610

I’m already smelling a box office bomber. Nobody’s gonna see this if the original guys aren’t gonna be involved, ya know?

The only people that will probably be interested in seeing this movie are newbies who knows nothing about Ghostbusters like women and children for example. The long-time die-hards are NOT gonna be interested in this film, I can tell ya that right now.

I know I keep saying that I shouldn’t negatively judge a movie early but I’m doing it for this one. This film is gonna suck hard.

It’s interesting to see that Sony vows to move forward to get this film made when they very well know that no one wants it to happen. I want a “Ghostbusters 3” like they originally planned, not a freakin’ reboot.

How much do you wanna bet this film is gonna flop? If it becomes a hit, that would be shocking.

Kev

Melissa McCarthy is NOW in early talks for “Ghostbusters”…

Like everybody didn’t see this one coming??? I think we all predicted that Melissa McCarthy would be one of the firsts to get casted for “Ghostbusters” and most of us was predictably right. *sigh*

Like most, I don’t want this movie to happen and they should really leave it alone.

Melissa McCarthy Enters Early Talks for Ghostbusters Reboot

It’s probably gonna tank in the box office anyways so no need to worry about it.

Look like Melissa is trying to lose weight for the role as you can see in the photo above so I don’t think we’ll have to worry about a huge woman running around with a proton pack.

The film is still gonna suck, though. They should have killed this movie after Harold Ramis died.

Kev

As I predicted, hackers will leak the “Ghostbusters” re-boot plot and they did exactly that… plot sounds awful, though!!!

Like I said, it was only a matter of time that the hackers were planning to leak the plot of “Ghostbusters 3” and they just did exactly that. The plot sounds awful, though. What the next one is about, the focus will be on a convicted murderer who have just been executed and then he turns into a ghost. The ghost who is the main villain will be played by “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) and he has the power to create an army of ghosts which could be made up of famous villains throughout history. The new “Ghostbusters” team will feature 4 new women who will try to save New York City from getting terrorized by these new ghosts.

http://www.vulture.com/2014/12/paul-feig-has-a-vision-for-his-ghostbusters.html

I can see why Bill Murray kept turning it down… ’cause the plot sounds horrible, in my opinion.

I smell a box office bomber here. Nobody would see a Ghostbusters movie without the original 4: Bill, Dan, Ernie and Harold.

Dan is probably gonna be in the new movie in some form. We all know Harold and Bill won’t be in it. I don’t know about Ernie, though.

I don’t want to see a “Ghostbusters” film full of CGI. Keep in mind now that when “Ghostbusters I and II” were made, there was no CGI technology at the time. They found other ways to make the ghosts. I’ll stick with the first “Ghostbusters” movie, thank you.

Kev

Jennifer Lawrence also considered for “Ghostbusters” role???

I remember when I listed my choice of actresses for the upcoming all-female reboot of “Ghostbusters”, I remember mentioning Jennifer Lawrence being one of them. Look like my prediction on Jennifer Lawrence being one of the new Ghostbusters is gonna be right.

http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/entertainment/film-tv/news/lawrence-i-met-ghostbusters-feig-30823227.html

So far, the new female Ghostbusters is looking like it’s gonna be Rebel Wilson and Jennifer Lawrence. Who are gonna be the other two? I’m glad Jennifer is gonna be in this ’cause after the successful “Hunger Games” franchise, she’s gonna need another big franchise and Ghostbusters is perfect for her. This would make the third big franchise for Jennifer so far she has the “Hunger Games”, “X-Men” and looks like “Ghostbusters” is gonna be next.

Jennifer doesn’t have a comedic background too much but she’ll still make a great Ghostbuster. She could probably do the comedy thing quite well although she mostly does drama and action movies.

Who are the other two ladies gonna be???

Kristen Wiig maybe. Sarah Silverman is not a bad idea as well.

Kev

Ernie Hudson slams “Ghostbusters” re-boot… he says making it all female is not “Ghostbusters”…

Welp… look like we aren’t gonna see Winston Zeddemore in the new “Ghostbusters” ’cause the actor who plays the character doesn’t agree with the all-female Ghostbusters idea. Click the article above and read what have to say. He makes a lot of sense, I guess.

In my opinion, it isn’t Ghostbusters without the 4 original characters: Ray, Peter, Egon and Winston. Ray is probably gonna be in the new film in some form but if the other guys aren’t, then why call it Ghostbusters, ya know?

I can’t see Ghostbusters being good without Ivan Reitman helming it. I don’t think Paul has what it takes to put horror and comedy together.

I was on board of a new film until Harold died. After Harold died, I thought to myself, “A Ghostbusters film cannot be good without Harold being involved so they might as well trash the project”… of course, they didn’t. I’m predicting a box office bomber with this film… nobody’s gonna see this.

Bill Murray said an all-female Ghostbuster film is a good idea but Ernie decided to have some balls and have a different opinion on it. Kudos to Ernie for keeping it real!!! \m/
