Report: Rob Zombie finishes filming “H2″…

Well, that was quick. Rob Zombie finishes filming his next Halloween sequel, “H2”. He explains, this is even more brutal and intense. It is not a remake of “Halloween II”, it is completely Rob Zombie’s story, an original. He explains that Michael Myers does not wear the mask throughout most of the movie, I’ll imagine Michael picks up the mask toward the end of the film.

The cast from the first one is back with some new additions such as Margot Kidder and “Weird Al”  Yankovic. “H2” is slated for a release date, August 28th this summer.

Does this mean that “Weird Al” is going to parody one of Rob Zombie’s songs from Rob’s upcoming new album? It’s possible.

Report: Rob Zombie reveals why he went back to Halloween sequel after turning it down in the past…

Rob Zombie and his brother, Spider, who is the frontman for Powerman 5000, speaks on the Pulse of Radio with Rob revealing to the public as to why he returned to directing Halloween, after repeatingly turning it down in the past.

After Rob did the first one, he admitted that he had no desire to do it again, that he was burnt out and tired, he thought the work on the first movie was stressful and difficult. Then he says, as time went by, he grew excitement and had a passion for Halloween again that made him want to return. He says he came up with a great idea for a story and its characters, that he couldn’t pass this up.

Rob Zombie already signed Tyler Mane to return as the legendary killer. Zombie is in talks of signing Scout Taylor-Compton to return as Laurie Strode and Malcolm MacDowell to return as Dr. Loomis.

“H2” is scheduled to begin filming in March.

Those who keep slamming Rob Zombie for turning it down in the past and wanting to do it again, you have to keep in mind that Zombie is a writer. When a writer comes up with a story idea and it hits them, it makes them want to get it off their chest. Well, Rob came up with a story idea for the sequel that he wants to get off his chest. You have a vision in your head, your own movie in your head, and you think to yourself, “How do I get my story to the world?”

It happens to all writers. Writers can’t help themselves. When they say they’re going to stop, they have no choice but to keep writing because of one word, “inspiration”. “Inspiration” hit Rob again that drove him to want to helm Halloween again.

The same goes for Christopher Nolan doing a third Batman movie or Lucas/Spielberg doing a 5th Indy movie. You can’t just expect these guys to do another sequel this quick. You have to give them time for inspiration to hit them with a good story idea, then they’ll do it. Chris Nolan said a hundred times that he may or may not do a third Batman movie, depending on a good story. The same goes for Lucas with Indy 5, he said a hundred times that he isn’t sure if he should go on without Shia and Karen Allen, depending on a good Indy story.

Writing and creating something is like an addictive drug. You say you’re going to stop but for some reason you can’t. I’m getting back into story fiction writing soon because I’ve been inspired to get back into it.

I’m sure Rob won’t dissapoint the Halloween sequel ’cause he is a creative guy when it comes to the horror genre. He’ll probably make the sequel better than the first.

Confirmed: Rob Zombie WILL direct “Halloween” sequel simply titled “H2″…

Yes, Rob Zombie has inked a deal with Dimension films that he is returning to direct the “Halloween” sequel. The next “Halloween” film will simply be titled “H2”, yes that’s it. With the letter “H” and “2” both together, making it “H2”, the next movie title. Rob Zombie will write and direct, “H2” ,just like he did with the first movie. Filming will begin in March and they hope to get an October release date of 2009.

The new film will leave off right where the first movie ended except the sequel “H2” will NOT be a remake of  1981’s “Halloween 2” which also starred Jamie Lee Curtis. In “Halloween 2” it was mostly taken place in a hospital, Rob Zombie’s version of the sequel will be a totally different story. This article doesn’t give anymore details on the plot though.

No word if Tyler Mane will return as the fictional serial killer, Michael Myers, he probably will.

You can also see a teaser poster that Dimension already made for the film here at Variety:

This is fantastic news!!! I’m so happy that Rob Zombie is on board for the sequel!!! YES!!!

Congrats to Rob. He had quite a career ride in the film business. He worked very hard to get into the movie business and now he is a big name film director thanks to “Halloween”.

Remember, Rob Zombie fought hard to get “House of 1,000 Corpses” a big screen release but no studio wanted to buy it off him because of it’s graphic content, but Lionsgate finally bought the movie off Rob and released it nationwide, the film became a hit. Then he released “The Devils Rejects” which also became a hit.

I’m looking forward to the sequel. I also hope Malcolm Macdowell will return as Dr. Loomis and I’m sure he will.

Report: Rob Zombie to direct “Halloween” sequel? It’s a possibility…

Two different directors were confirmed to direct the “Halloween” remake sequel, but both of them parted ways with Dimension Films, which leaves the door open for anybody to direct “Halloween 2”. Trancas International is reporting the possibility that Rob Zombie may direct the sequel. “Halloween 2” begins filming this coming March but a press release will be made public in a few days on whether or not Rob Zombie is on board.

I hope it’s true that Rob Zombie is coming back. He did an excellent job with the first one and he won’t dissapoint the sequel either. I hope Zombie is still on board!!

I’ve been hearing that Rob is going back to his solo music career soon, so I don’t know, but we’ll wait and see what happens.

I can’t see the sequel being made without him.

Report: Dimension films to move on without Rob Zombie for “Halloween” sequel?

This blog is claiming that a magazine called Rue Morgue is confirming that Dimension studios could move on to a “Halloween” sequel without Rob Zombie.

To be honest, I am not believing this news as I am calling it a big fat rumour, hey I’m not blaming this blogger for starting the rumour, keep in mind that, magazines can make mistakes too.

I am not believe this news until Rob Zombie himself says he is not doing a “Halloween 2”.

I really hope this ain’t true. I really enjoyed the Halloween remake by Rob Zombie. It’s an intense film and love it very much.

If Dimension is serious on ditching Rob Zombie for the sequel, then that would be disgraceful and a shame to the companies part. Rob Zombie made the “Halloween” remake one of the most successful horror film remakes ever made. Before the “Halloween” remake, there were hardily any horror movie remakes then. Now at the world of horror films today, most horror movie classics are all being remade now because Rob Zombie made that happen with “Halloween”. That’s how Rob changed the movie industry.

If it turns out true that Dimension is getting rid of Rob Zombie for the sequel, then I will have no interest in it at all whatsoever.
