Thought: Sorry ladies, but Rush Limbaugh actually has a valid point!!!

I may not like the guy that much, but he is actually telling truth this time!!! He wasn’t just calling Sandra a slut. He was actually calling all women a slut if they demanded the government to pay for their contraception. If these women were that desperate to ask the government to pay for contraception, that means they must have sex a lot. Really, think about it.

It does kind of make a lot of sense that if the government agrees to this, they are paying women to have sex, and it makes women a prostitute. His point with him saying, “she should post a sex video online so we all can see”, what he means by that, is that this stuff gets the guys going crazy. It makes the men, think, “Damn, she must be hot”.

If they don’t want to get pregnant having sex, they should keep their legs closed and not have sex at all. Problem solved!

What Limbaugh said may have been harsh, but it was his way of bringing it to people’s attention. Sorry, all, but he’s right on the money. We don’t need the government paying to help women with their problems when it should be their own responsibilities. The government has better things to worry about in this world.

Report: Scarlett Johansson to play Janet Leigh in “Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho”…

This is not exactly a “Psycho” remake. What this is, it’s a biopic film of Alfred Hitchcock making the movie, “Psycho”. Scarlett Johansson has been signed to play Janet Leigh, where she’ll be doing her version of the legendary shower scene in the film. James D’ Arcy will play, Anthony Perkins, the actor who played, Norman Bates.

More on the story, here.

I wonder who they’re gonna get for Alfred Hitchcock? Phillip Seymour Hoffman, maybe?

Honestly, I’m kind of skeptical of this project. I love the Psycho movies. “Psycho” was already remade in “1998”, that starred Vince Vaughn and Anne Heche. We don’t need another remake. This new film claims it’s a “biopic”, but it still feels like a remake to me.

Maybe the trailer will prove us wrong so we’ll have to wait and see.

Thought: The only reason how original bands get so successful…just an observation…

It’s very rare that original bands get so successful in music. To the ones that do get successful, how are they doing it? It’s not because the music is good. Well for one, they write very catchy songs that you maybe able to hear off the radio. They write simple radio friendly songs that could easily catch a listeners ear. They write pop songs that would get the audience dancing and going crazy, or write a bunch of sing along songs. An original band can be a party band, just like a cover band can be a party band. That’s how they are able to attract a large fanbase ’cause the original band concentrates on being a party band or a pop band. Know what I mean? They try to make themselves look like a mainstream band even if they are not.

No offense to original bands out there, this is just an observation.

With my own music, I never cared to write party music or pop songs. I just wanted to make art. Write whatever came out of me. Once in a while, I’ll write an original song that a lot of people would actually like. I just wanted to write songs. Write, write, write. It didn’t matter if the song attracted a lot of attention or not, I just wanted to express myself. That’s what I do songwriting for.

If I ever get myself a band going, it sure won’t be a party band or a pop band that’s for sure. I’ll be playing some serious music where people can actually sit and listen. Sure, people dancing and singing along to my songs would be fun, I’d like it, but that’s not what I look for in my music. I look to send a message out with my songs, and I am a storyteller with them.

Again, nothing wrong with being a party band giving the audience a good time, but I’m all about the music. I like those kind of bands that are not worried about being a party band and concentrate on making the art.

You have to ask yourself. Do you want to be a pop star or an artist? I want to be the artist. That’s the goal that I hope to achieve with all of my songs, getting the message out.

I’ll be having more originals coming soon.

Thought: Being an overlooked musician, doesn’t mean you suck, it actually means you’re just too good…

If you’re a struggling musician who’ve been overlooked & ignored way too much like myself, don’t be bothered by it too much. You do your very best by making music, playing a lot of gigs, and yet you get nothing out of it. No local press, no respect from other bands, etc. You get the deal. What that means, it doesn’t mean that you suck. I’m sure you probably have some talent and your music maybe good. You may have talent in some way.

I’ve always believed that people just don’t want to admit that you are talented. They just want to be like you. Jealousy is a small part of it, for sure.

And just because other bands & musicians are big & successful in their area, have lots of fans and playing gigs all over, that still doesn’t make them any better. Their music can be crap as well.

I’ve always believed that overlooked & underrated musicians who don’t get much recognition are more talented. When I used to gig in the past, that’s why I always looked for musicians who weren’t that successful to share gigs with. I wanted to give them a chance to get them out there playing and give them a chance to be heard. I was willing to share the stage with bands and artists whether they were successful or not.

The not so successful musicians can make good music.

Looking forward to the return of “Game of Thrones” in April!!!

Man, I can’t wait for this show to comeback! Season 2 premiere date is officially April 1st. Season 1 comes out on DVD this coming Tuesday. I’m definitely buying the DVD, so I can re-watch Season 1 before Season 2. I love the books, and love the show. “Game of Thrones” is one of the best shows on TV other than “Walking Dead”, “Dexter”, and “Breaking Bad”.

Report: “Bioshock: Infinite” finally gets a release date!!!!

Today, 2K games, finally announced the release date for the upcoming new Bioshock game called, “Bioshock: Infinite”. While this is the third Bioshock game, it is not a sequel or a prequel. It is set in an earlier period and a different setting. “Infinite”, will of course, be similar to the first two games, even though this will be a completely different story. Instead of being in an underwater city like the first two games, this game will be taken place in a floating sky city of Columbia. There are two main characters in the game, Booker Dewitt, and a female character, Elizabeth (pictured above). Not sure if you get to choose which character to play. This game will hit shelves in the US., Oct. 16th.

More on the story, here.

I’m a huge fan of the Bioshock games. So I’m definitely looking forward to this one!

Alright, I’ll admit it, Adele is pretty amazing…

I had to listen to Adele’s “21” twice today, and I was pretty impressed with both listens. Now I get why she’s so popular and why she won “Album of the Year” at the Grammy’s. There’s some great songwriting on the disc. Plus, Adele’s voice sends chills. I’ll take back what I said that she’s overrated and I guess I’ll have a change of heart, and she just got herself a new fan. I’ll listen to the album more, and I’ll give it a more detailed review.

Thought: You can either do music professionally or just for fun…

Some folks out there would like to see me move forward in my music dreams. Travel around the US or even the world, playing tours, getting a label, and all that stuff, but honestly I don’t need to do all that. I just do music just for fun and the enjoyment of it, that’s it. I don’t take it seriously. I’m not desperate in making a name for myself like so many are out there.

Nothing wrong with wanting to make a name for yourself, but with my own music I don’t really care. I just liked to put my original songs out there for feedback, to see if people enjoy them or not. The honest criticism toward my music either good or bad, is actually a good thing to me. The negative criticism, inspires me to get better and try to improve.

I like making music for the internet. I just put it out there and see what happens. See what kind of response it gets. I don’t get defensive over negative criticism like so many out there do, ’cause negative criticism is actually good for you. When you’re being attacked by the public, being defensive of yourself will not get people to like your music. Sorry but it’s the truth. If you want to make your music better and improve, you have to listen to them. Make your songs better, and then the negative feedback will turn into positive. That’s how the music world goes.

While negative criticism don’t really bother me, I do wish people wouldn’t be so mean and offensive about it. Do honest criticism with more detail and insightful feedback without the bashing. Nothing hateful like, “You fuckin’ suck” or something like that. What I want to hear is, “You should sing in key. Sing with more emotion, guitar playing needs to be more energetic.” See? Not that hard to do. Give feedback with class.

Nope. A lot of people just want to be hateful and nasty. I’m not looking to be big with my music, ’cause music is what I do. It’s a passion of mine and in my blood.
