Report: Is Bill Murray in or out of “Ghostbusters 3”????

Deadline, wrote this interesting article about the difficulties in making “Ghostbusters 3”. Why is “Ghostbusters III” so difficult to get the green light? It’s because Bill Murray have always been strict and picky with the third film. You’ve read most interviews with Bill about Ghostbusters 3 over the past year and Bill haven’t been so kind about the third film. Bill mostly laughed at all Ghostbusters 3 talk every time he was asked about it.

That’s why they sent the script to Bill first, to get his approval. Get feedback from Bill. In that article, Sony wanted to make it clear that they will not make a Ghostbusters film without Bill. If Bill is in, they will get right to work. If Bill is out, then no film at all, it’s simple as that.

I think there’s a good chance Bill will say yes ’cause he was wearing the Ghostbuters suit for the “Zombie Land” movie too.

It’ll be nice to see Harold Ramis back as Egon as well, as I know that Harold doesn’t act much anymore,  he mostly concentrated on directing movies over the years. I hope the GIII script won’t concentrate on the passing the torch to younger Ghostbusters eitiher, so we’ll have to wait and see. Anyway, we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed if Bill wants in or not. We’ll hear from Bill soon on his answer, maybe in a few weeks or so. He’ll have to take the time to read the script and make his decision.

I really hope  a GIII film will happen ’cause it deserves one more film to close out the trilogy.

Report: MGM officially greenlights “Bond 23” with Daniel Craig starring and Sam Mendes directing…

MGM just announced the shocking news today that the 23rd James Bond movie is set for a release date of Nov. 9th 2012. Daniel Craig is still on, Sam Mendes will be directing. They plan to start shooting the film, late 2011. The plot is being kept under wraps, but the story will continue on from the last Bond movie, “Quantum of Solace”.

Deadline, reports.

I thought, “Casino Royale” was an amazing film. “Quantum of Solace” sucked. Hopefully the next one will be good. I like 007 movies, sure.

Report: Gollum and Gandalf are returning for the Hobbit!!!

I know the world is getting excited for Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit” but am I the only one here who thinks this is not gonna be good? Why the hell bring back Gollum, Frodo, Galadriel, and other characters, when they weren’t in the original, “Hobbit” story, from the 1937 novel.

The only characters from the original LOTR series that should be in the film is none other than Bilbo and Gandalf, since those two were the most important part of the story. It’s typical Hollywood, changing the plot around to help the box office, period.

I’ve read the novel “The Hobbit”, it’s one of my favorites. It’s a classic. I know Peter Jackson is going to change the whole story around to make it similar to the the original LOTR films. I’m not sure if I will see, “The Hobbit” or not. They should stay true and follow the original story, but you know they won’t. “The Hobbit” is a prequel to the “Fellowship of the Ring”, so it won’t make sense to bring the other characters in.

If you want to know why I don’t write about “The Hobbit” so much, this is why. I didn’t want to disappoint people with my honesty, so here I am, speaking it all out.

I just thought of an idea for my next video blog, and maybe I will explain more in detail on why, “The Hobbit” is going to suck.

Report: Ivan Reitman says “Ghostbusters 3” script is done and have been sent to Bill Murray!!!

Ivan Reitman, the director of the first two “Ghostbusters” films, announced that the “Ghostbusters 3” script is finally done and sent to Bill Murray to get his approval. Ivan says Bill haven’t read the script yet and says the script is good enough to get the film made.

The Associated Press, reports.

We all know how strict and picky Bill is with the next Ghostbusters film. Lets hope he’ll be happy with this script whenever he gets around to reading it. I think Bill Murray still looks really good in the Ghostbusters suit. Remember, he put the suit back on for the “Scream” awards last year. He looked pretty happy wearing the suit again, so there’s a possibility he might come back! Hope so, cross our fingers.

Report: Quentin Tarantino wrote new zombie film, Eli Roth will direct it…

Quentin Tarantino exclusively revealed on his twitter page that he just wrote a zombie horror film titled, “The Night The Dead Walked”. He also announced that Eli Roth will direct the film. This is really Tarantino’s twitter page, ’cause only he can get out the script he just put out for the public. Go to his twitter and download the script, “The Night the Dead Walked”. The script is over 30 pages long, it’s only a preview, not the entire film. Give it a read, it’s pretty good.

Tarantino’s twitter page.

As you can see, he gave me a “retweet” after giving him feedback on his work. Tarantino is no stranger to writing scripts in the horror genre. “From Dusk ‘Til Dawn” anyone? He wrote and starred in “From Dusk to Dawn” along with George Clooney, Tarantino didn’t direct “Dawn” though, Robert Rodriguez did.

Looking forward to seeing, “The Night the Dead Walked”. I’m a big Tarantino fan, I follow everything he does.

Report: The plot to the new “Muppets” movie is out and it’s disappointing…

The plot to the new “Muppets” movie is out, and I don’t really like it at all. I like the Muppets and I want them to have a good movie. After reading the plot, I’m already worried about this film, that we might get another shitty Muppet movie.

The plot is, the original Muppets: Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Animal, Gonzo, etc. have all retired to move on to new careers. Three new Muppets are introduced in the film and they go help find the original Muppets to reunite the gang. The movie will be taken place in Los Angeles. Probably around the Hollywood area, so expect a lot of celebrity cameos.

Read more on the story, here.

The only great Muppet movies were, “The Great Muppet Caper” and “The Muppets Take Manhatten”. They were excellent films, but the other ones were pretty crappy. I really hope this one will be good, but I don’t know. I’ll wait to see a trailer first, and then I’ll make my decision if I want to see it in theater or not.

BREAKING NEWS: Frodo will be in “The Hobbit”!!!

The news have been confirmed that Elijah Wood will reprise his role as Frodo Baggins for the two “Hobbit” films. It’ll be a small role though as Frodo will appear in the opening scene for both films. It said that Frodo will be told the stories of Bilbo Baggins, so yeah, we’re probably going to hear a narrator tell the story, of the Hobbit.

Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, and Martin Freeman have been confirmed for “The Hobbit” as well.

Read more on it, here.

I’m pretty sold to the Hobbit now, and can’t wait to see it. Glad Peter Jackson is still directing ’cause I wouldn’t see it if he wasn’t directing.

Thought: Films to look forward to in 2011…

Say goodbye to 2010, say hello to 2011. During the past year, Hollywood teased us a lot of upcoming films that will be coming out this year. What movies do I look forward to seeing this year?

Here is the list:

  • Season of the Witch (Supernatural fantasy film starring Nicolas Cage)
  • Harry Potter & The Deathly Hollows part 2 (Part 2 of the Harry Potter finale)
  • Rango (A Guillermo Del Toro directed animated movie voiced by Johnny Depp)
  • The Three Musketeers (A new Three Musketeers remake on the way, actually looks decent)
  • Cowboys & Aliens (Jon Favreau movie about cowboys going to war against aliens from space, stars Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig)
  • Sucker Punch (A new Zack Snyder action movie)
  • JJ Abrams “Super 8” (JJ Abrams directed alien invasion movie starring Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning)
  • Thor (This actually looks very very good, I will definitely see the new “Thor” movie by Marvel)
  • X-Men: First Class (New X-men movie focusing on the earlier days of Magneto and Professor Xavier, can’t wait for this)
  • Source Code (An action thriller by director Duncan Jones, stars Jake Gyllenhaal)
  • Rise of the Apes (prequel to the original “Planets of the Apes” movie, I’m a huge fan of the Planet of the Apes franchise, always has been)
  • Captain America: The First Avenger (Finally, Captain America coming to the big screen, hope this will be a good one, probably will be)
  • The Beaver (Jodi Foster directed movie with Mel Gibson playing with a Beaver puppet, looks very good, I’ll see this one)
  • Paranormal Activity 3 (Yes, there’s another Paranormal Activity film in the works, as the second left open for a third film, I love the PA franchise, can’t wait for the third!)

That’s it so far. “The Expendables 2”, won’t be coming out until 2012, I think. Not sure when Sly Stallone plans on filming the next “Expendables” movie. Maybe later this year.

About the “Top Ten Best films of 2010” list…

My choices for “Best Films of 2010” is coming, I’m waiting to see “True Grit” and “Tron” first, then I’ll do it. I’m thinking of announcing my top 10 Best Films of this year in a video blog, instead of writing it all here. I think it will be more fun doing it on video instead. On video, I’ll do the backwards countdown, “10-1”, the first film being the best, obviously. I’ll try to see if I can download a drum roll sound effect, before the no. 1 choice. Be patience though. The top Ten Films list will be here on video soon, maybe next weekend. I’m going to see “True Grit” and “Tron” this week. I need to see if those films are worthy to be on the list.
