I have 4 of his albums so far and will get more of his stuff in the future. This is one of my favorite tracks by Al Di Meola. This guy is a genius and a wizard on guitar.

The hackers Anonymous, (a different group of hackers, not the Guardians of Peace) have publicly threatened rapper Iggy Azalea that she must apologize to rapper Azealia Banks (or whatever her name is) and the NYC protesters in the next 48 hours or they will leak Iggy’s sex tape that they claim she has.

So it sounds like that Azaelia is criticizing Iggy for being a white rapper that is meant for a black kind of thing is what Azaelia is basically trying to say. So what? Iggy is a white girl and a rapper. Who cares. I’m sure there are many female white rappers. So Azealia’s criticism on that is way off and pretty unfair. Hey Azealia, jealous much? That’s all she is, in my opinion. Sounds like Azealia is just jealous of Iggy’s super stardom and jealous of Iggy selling millions of records while I’m sure Azealia isn’t selling that many.
As a matter of fact, I’ve never heard of Azealia until this little twitter feud between these two rappers so it sounds like that Azealia is trying to leech off of Iggy’s fame.
I didn’t catch what Iggy said about Eric Garner but whatever she said, Iggy has a right to speak her mind on all of these things. Everyone has a right for an opinion and some rapper named Azealia comes out and bullies Iggy?
Iggy shouldn’t have to apologize. Iggy didn’t do anything wrong. Iggy likes to be a rapper and do her thing and of course, other rappers are gonna insult her. Iggy stood up for herself on twitter which makes me respect her even more.
Just like everyone says Sony shouldn’t cave-in to the “Guardians Of Peace”, Iggy shouldn’t cave-in to Anonymous either and I don’t think she’s going to. Iggy’s cool and she seems like a tough chick. Sure, she might seem like a white girl pretending to be a black girl but who cares? There’s a lot of people like that out there, white people pretending to be black like Eminem, Vanilla Ice and I’m sure the list can go on forever.
I love Iggy. Not ashamed to be a fan. She has every right to stand up for herself. I’m sure she won’t care about her sex tape being leaked… she’s a tough chick and won’t let anything bring her down. Fuck Azealia, she’s just jealous, nothing more.

Is Scott Stapp being honest on money being stolen from him? I’m beginning to think he isn’t. Admittedly, this story is getting weirder and weirder. Stapp made three videos via his facebook page going on rants about how his money has been taken from so he goes to the police to file a complaint. The singer even filmed a video of himself going to the police and he showed the police complaint on video. Of course, the videos were taken down from his facebook page but I’m sure you can find ’em in youtube.
I’m sure the police tried to investigate the singer’s claim of his stolen money but it’s looking like they’re giving up on him since he couldn’t be contacted anywhere. He reaches out to the police begging for help and when they said they were willing, he now refuses to be helped? Wow. Something’s definitely not right here.

After listening to the At The Gates “Slaughter of the Soul” album a lot over the weekend, I’m thinking of getting into more death metal. The genre isn’t really all that scary to listen as some of that stuff can actually be enjoyable! The thing with death metal is that some of these bands can make awesome metal riffs and pretty impressive rhythm playing with their guitars! I just never cared for the growling and screaming but after listening to At The Gates, it made me get used to the growling and screaming. That’s the whole point of death metal. You just gotta get used to it.
A lot of people can’t see that I listen to metal and heavy music ’cause I don’t have the look and the image. I’m not covered in tattoos, I don’t wear ripped up blue jeans or wear junky t-shirts or wear eye-liner. That’s never been my style, lol. I just loved to listen to the music ’cause I dig the songwriting and guitar playing but I’m thinking of getting into death metal more.
What are some other good death metal bands? I already know about bands like Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Death, Obituary, Napalm Death, The Black Dahlia Murder and I’m sure there are many others. Listening to this kind of music helps make me feel good and gets things out of my system.
Metal is one of my favorite genres and I mostly listen to regular metal like Metallica, Megadeth, Sabbath, Pantera, Maiden, Priest, Type O’ Negative, Slayer, etc. but I should get into the darker stuff like death and black metal too. If I want to be a true metal lover, I got into that stuff and will soon.
I’ve always loved metal and heavy music. It’s the music I grew up on. It’s what helped me get into playing guitar, of course. I’ve experimented with playing some metal guitar myself but I should keep at it. If I were to play guitar in a metal band someday, I would just play guitar and not sing ’cause I don’t think I have the voice for it.

Animals As Leaders is an instrumental prog-rock band with 8 string guitarist (yes, you heard that right, this guy is an 8 stringer), Tosin Abasi. The Animals As Leaders “Joy Of Motion” is one of my favorite records of this year, 2014.
This is my favorite track off the album, “Mind-Spun”. There’s all kinds of cool things going on and pretty melodic playing on here. I love Tosin’s guitar playing style.

Thanks to Guitar World magazine, this month’s Guitar World helped introduced me to this Swedish death metal band called, At The Gates. I’ve read that interview and really liked it! After reading about their 1995 album, “Slaughter of The Soul” which is considered an important album of their career, it intrigued me and was good enough for me wanting to give the album a listen myself. Yesterday, I grabbed their “Slaughter of the Soul” album by At The Gates from Itunes and I couldn’t stop listening to it since. I’m listening to it right now as I type this actually.
Ya know, I love metal and heavy music but I was never really into death metal much. I was just into regular heavy metal without the screaming and growling but I can take, At The Gates. At The Gates is a pretty listenable and enjoyable band. Their pretty melodic, tight and fun to listen to. I even enjoy the screaming vocals too! I’m not into death metal hardly at all but this band I can take!!!
“Slaughter of the Soul” really is one of the best metal albums of all time. If you enjoy metal, you’d probably dig this album too.
After listening to this album several times already, I thought to myself, “Maybe death metal isn’t all that bad after all???”. Maybe I should get into death metal more. At The Gates is a great band and makes me want to get more of their music. Soon, I’ll get their newest album that they released earlier this year called, “At War With Reality”.
This is why I love reading Guitar World magazine, they helped turn me onto a lot of bands I never heard of before. I’ve been reading Guitar World magazine for many years and still read that magazine on a monthly basis to this very day. It’s a great magazine.

Here’s one of my favorite songs by Rush called, “Driven” off of their 1996 album, “Test For Echo”, which in my opinion is a really good Rush album too. I’ve been a Rush fan for a long time myself.

I like the Rolling Stones but I’m not that big of a fan. I was never the one to collect all of their records. I just own one of their greatest hits albums and that’s all I need. I do like some of their songs, though. I respect the hell out of Keith Richards… I’m just not a big fan of Jagger’s singing.

You can tell by the looks of their faces as you watch this video that they are very passionate about guitar playing and they take it very seriously.
Are famous guitar players intimidating people? As you can see in this video, they aren’t at all! They’re just normal guys who just love playing guitar!!!
A true guitar lover is somebody who takes it passionately and would have no problem talking about music and guitar playing all the time. All 4 of these guys are great guitarists.
I don’t have any albums by the Aristocrats but I heard some of their stuff in youtube and Guthrie Govan is amazing. I wanna start getting some music by the Aristocrats hopefully soon.
