Report: Schwarzenegger’s “Total Recall” getting remade…

Columbia Pictures has greenlighted to remake the Paul Verhoeven sci fi/action movie, “Total Recall”, that originally starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone. No director and no cast has been signed as of yet.

What do you think? Good idea or another pointless remake? I can’t make up my mind. What would Arnold himself think of this? Of course, he would be flattered if his movies get remade. I’m sure he’s all for it.

Report: Arnold says he’s doing, “The Expendables”…

Arnold himself responds to TMZ after they posted the news that “he may or may not” film, “The Expendables” because of his political work. Arnold went on a TV show and says he’s definitely filming the movie for Sly, and action movie fans. Arnold says he’s done a few other cameos for other films while he was still Governor, so he has no problem doing a cameo for “Terminator: Salvation” or “The Expendables”.

See Arnold’s response to TMZ here:

http://www.tmz.com/2009/02/22/schwarzenegger-says-hes-expendable/

Yep, the Governator appeared in cameos in, “The Rundown” and “Around the World In 80 Days” while being Governor, he still does cameos once in a while because he still knows that he has movie fans that want to see him in film still.

Arnold and Sly playing in a scene together will be golden. Whether’s it’s a small scene or not, it is Hollywood’s dream come true.

Thought: I think Ah-nuld will still film, “The Expendables”…

TMZ and AICN, both of those websites, has said Arnold may or may not film his scene for “The Expendables”. Honestly, I think both of those websites are just bullshitting. Although, I do know that Sly himself talked to both of those websites to make corrections of the Arnold movie news, it’s just a tease, ’cause you know, Sly likes surprises. Sly likes to shock people with things. Arnold will still do the movie.

Arnold is currently trying to fix the California budget and that’s his only focus. Somehow, I think Sly will drag Arnold out of office secretly for a day and then they will film Arnold’s scene privately.

I don’t think there’s anything to worry about Arnie pulling out of the film because of his political work. Sly and Arnold’s been friends for years. I’m sure Arnold wants to do this for him and action movie fans. He’ll do it, trust me on this.

Thought: Stallone and the Governator in a movie together is a dream come true for movie fans!

Everyone knows that Sly and Arnold teaming up in a film together is long overdue. Movie fans, especially action movie fans or bodybuilders out there have been waiting for this to happen for years.

Now, I wouldn’t immediately assume that Arnold being in the film is just a 20 or 30 minute cameo. Arnold could possibly be in “The Expendables” throughout the entire film. Arnold is scheduled to film the movie for one day, think how many scenes they can film for Arnold for one full day, early in the morning ’til real late at night. It all depends of how Sly written Arnold for the script. It could be just a cameo or a long supporting role for Sly. I’m sure we’ll hear from Sly himself telling us how Arnold is going to be in it.

Whether it’s a cameo or the whole movie for Arnold, this is the moment all movie fans been waiting for. This film will automatically be a huge box office draw, simply because Arnold and Sly in the film alone. Sorry Quentin Tarantino, but “The Expendables” will be the hit of the year, not “Inglourious Basterds”.

Arnold playing himself in, “The Expendables” may sound kind of silly, but it makes sense as a way to get Arnold be interested in the film. Arnold and Sly together in, “The Expendables” will be huge. Could it sell bigger in the box office than, “The Dark Knight”? Could, “The Expendables”‘ be a hit for Terminator fans? Yes, could be possible.

I think Sly’s got enough big names for this film, I feel that he needs no more big names, because Arnold is all he needs to complete it. Will Arnold somehow have an action scene in “The Expendables”? That is possible too ’cause you can’t see Arnold in an action movie, and not having him be part of the action.

I think fans would want to see Arnold in a small fight sequence, not a long one but something to give what Arnold fans want. You can’t just sign Arnold to a Sly movie and just have a scene where Arnold is talking to Sly in a movie. Arnold’s gotta be in some type of action stunt scene, like Arnold can punch Mickey Rourke or Dolph Lundgren in the face in his governor’s office or something like that. I think Sly will let Arnold be in action somehow, we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

Having Arnold in one of Sly’s movies now is perfect timing. Might as well have Arnold in Sly’s movie now before both men get too old and die, if you  know what I mean. You can only live once, and might as well get things done before it’s too late.

This is really exciting news, and now I really can’t wait for “The Expendables”. Bring it on Sly!

BREAKING NEWS: McG finally confirms Arnold appearance in “Terminator: Salvation” at NY Comic Conn!!!!

FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!! While everyone knew that Arnold will possibly be in the new “Terminator: Salvation” flick, McG announced at the NY Comic Con, that Arnold as the Terminator will indeed have a small role. Arnold as the Terminator will be in action too. Ever since T-4 has been announced, McG kept quiet on the Arnold cameo, I guess he figures the NY Comic Con is the perfect time to confirm the news.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

Hopefully when Arnold is done being governor, he’ll agree to return to the leading roles in Terminator 5 and 6.

During the Christian Bale tirade, maybe this was the emotional scene they were talking about, it was the Arnold cameo that caused Christian and the film makers to flip out.

Cool Video: Arnold and Sly at Caffe Roma, latest pap video…

Another short paparrazi video in California where Sly and Arnold are leaving Caffe Roma for a meal together. Again, Sly likes talking with the paps, Arny completely avoids them. This is a new video that was videotaped on 1/17/09.

Why is Arny and Sly spending so much time together lately? Is this a hint that Sly is in negotiations with Arny to star in “The Expendables” too? Lets keep our fingers crossed on this one. Could Arny be the last surprise annoucement for “The Expendables”? Here’s hoping Arny will be in the film too!!!

Report: Mystery character for “Terminator: Salvation”???

McG, the director of the new Terminator film “Terminator: Salvation” announced there is a mystery character called the T-RIP, as a mystery name as of now.

A new set of merchandise of 5 characters will be released, merchandise of the young Kyle Reese, Blair Williams, the T-600, and Marcus Wright. In the link below, there is a fifth character but it is blacked out for you to figure out. It is a mystery character in “Terminator: Salvation” that McG is not revealing until May 6th. It was immediately speculated that it could be Arnold or John Connor as a Terminator but McG said no to both of them.

See it here:

http://www.darkhorizons.com/news08/081222d.php

Hmmmm, carefully looking at the blacked out picture, it is obviously a shape of a Terminator machine. Looking at the name “T-RIP”, it is obviously a Terminator from the earlier 3 Terminator films. If you look at the right arm, it is halfway torn off. Does this fifth Terminator rings a bell yet?

Could it be the T-800 from the first Terminator film? The original machine that Arnold once played? No, because McG denied anything that has to do with Arnold. My other guess it could be the Robert Patrick – Liquid Terminator, the T-1000.

Report: Brett Ratner getting close to directing “Conan”…but will be rated R…

Director Brett Ratner is in final negotiations to direct the first “Conan” re-boot. Look like he will be on board to direct. It will be released and co-produced by Nu Image/Millenium and Lionsgate studios. While Brett Ratner is still on board to direct “Beverly Hills Cop 4”, he is likely to make both of these films but he will work on “Beverly Hills Cop 4” first. Ratner hopes to release “Conan” sometime in 2010.

The story of the first “Conan” reboot will start off how the original went, movie opens in a battlefield where Conan is born, will probably go from there. Of course, Thulsa Doom, the main villain will probably be written in the script.

While Ratner is mostly known for doing family friendly PG-13 flicks this will be a hard R rating.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3i431ca797a370fbb241d3fdee33fd75e7

While I’m not crazy about the idea of Ratner directing, I’m glad it’s going to be rated R though. I simply can not see a family friendly Conan movie. It’s just not the way Conan is. The Conan comics had always been aimed toward the adult readers.

Hope Ratner doesn’t screw this one.

I’m sure Arnold would be proud that a reboot is happening without him, seriously. The Ah-nuld is probably thrilled the reboot is happening and I’m sure he wants this to happen. Although we all know that Arnold will not be playing Conan, maybe Arnold will help Ratner on how to make a good Conan flick.

Hope they pick a good actor for Conan too.
