Emilia Clarke is Sarah Connor for Terminator reboot film…

"Game of Thrones" actress, Emilia Clarke, who is most-famous for playing the role of Daenerys Targaryen aka the khaleesi has officially signed on to play Sarah Connor for the upcoming Terminator reboot film currently titled, "Terminator: Genesis". This would make the second "Game of Thrones" actress to play Sarah Connor 'cause Lena Headey played the character for "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" TV show.

More on the story, here.

The question is will she be starring alongside, Arnold Schwarzenegger? Will he be back to say the famous catchphrase, “Ah’ll be back” again? It is still not yet known whether or not Arnold will be down but he has expressed interest in returning in some form so anything is possible. Never rule out a leading role return for Arnold as the Terminator ’cause that can be a possibility too. Now that Arnold’s done with politics, I can see him returning to the Terminator on a full-time schedule. I’m almost 100% certain that the Terminator re-boot was written for Arnold to return. He’s already set to return as Conan but we’ll soon know if he’s ready for the Terminator. I won’t see the movie if Arnold’s not gonna be in it.

While I hate re-boots… I think the Terminator series deserves a re-boot ’cause “Terminator: Salvation” was garbage. Lets hope they do a better job, next time around. The Terminator deserves a great movie again! The story of John Connor and Skynet deserves to be told better.

Why “Game of Thrones” is so popular…

So you ask, why is “Game of Thrones” so popular? Why are people talking about the series all over social networking sites? Spoilers are all over facebook and people can’t resist talking about the stories ’cause they can’t help themselves. George R. R. Martin the author of the books and creator of the TV series on HBO is quite a guy.

I did watch all of Season 3 on HBO. It was an okay season but could have been better. Of course, episode 9 was the best one… that certain wedding that everyone is talking about. Don’t want to reveal spoilers at this time.

So why is “Game of Thrones” very popular in the entertainment industry? I can think of 5 reasons why…

  • George R.R. Martin can tell stories like no one else – This guy makes it alright for people to start reading books again. He also makes Stephen King, Stephanie Meyer (The Twilight series) and J.K. Rowling look like little kids. What I mean by that is that George took over those three authors spotlight, big time. George is one masterful storyteller for sure. He knows how to keep his readers hooked.
  • The characters are entertaining – While George makes his characters interesting and likable, one thing to keep in mind about George’s characters in these stories that there are no good guys or bad guys here. The good guy vs. bad guy thing has gotten old and George wants to take things to a different level. While some of these characters — such as Tyrion, Daeny, Jon Snow, Theon, Arya, etc. — may seem like heroes, all of those characters have their share of doing evil things, plus bad things happen to them too. Not everything they do is heroic. The good guys don’t always win in “Game of Thrones”, so be careful here.
  • There’s a lot of unpredictability and people love big shockers – There are tons of intense scenes and people love major shockers. We don’t have that much with books and TV shows over the years. “Game of Thrones” can get controversial at times ’cause of the shock material in the stories. You just never know what will happen with these characters. You have a favorite character? Don’t be surprised if George decides to kill that character off even if that character is very popular with fans. He just did exactly that with the 9th episode of Season 3. Killed off an important character that pissed off a lot of fans. That was intentional and that was George’s goal.
  • People are simply into medieval and fantasy stories – Medieval stories about knights and armor, fantasy tales doesn’t get that much respect anymore. George just made that genre popular again. I love medieval and viking kind of stories myself. It’s nice to see this stuff make the mainstream again.
  • People just like something different – There are no other good TV shows and there are no other good books to read. A lot of people like “Game of Thrones” ’cause there’s nothing else that is good out there. So they get drawn into this franchise ’cause it’s different.

I know I do those “5 – 10 Reasons Why…” posts quite a lot but hey, it’s just an easier way to get my points across on things instead of writing everything in big paragraphs.

Last night’s episode of “Game of Thrones” was the best episode all season…

While I hated most of Season 3 of “Game of Thrones”, they really stepped up their game last night. Last night’s episode of, “Game of Thrones” was the best episode all season long. Save the best for the last. I don’t want to talk about the storyline and the big plot points ’cause I don’t want to reveal spoilers this soon. I’ve read all the GOT books, so I already know what happened but HBO did a good job depicting this controversial scene that got everyone talking. That’s how I want to see GOT. Last night’s episode felt like Season 1 all over again, it was perfect. Even though I don’t want to reveal big spoilers, I can clue you in that two important characters got killed off. Not saying who. Last night’s episode was pretty intense, dramatic, and sad. It was also violent and gruesome. Finally, some violence and gruesome blood! Book 3 is split into two seasons for the show ’cause the book is way too long. So the second half of book 3, “Storm of Swords” will be for next season.

It’s not over yet, though. This is just getting started… there will be even bigger shockers for the season finale. They did a great job with last night’s episode, I was impressed. Gonna watch it again later this evening.

Just a warning before everyone gets all excited for “Game of Thrones – Season 3″…

Yes, so “Game of Thrones – Season 3” premiere is coming this Sunday, Easter night. This Sunday night on Easter will be a great night for TV for sure. Not only the premiere of “Game of Thrones” will be on, we also have “Walking Dead – Season 3 finale”, and Episode 5 of “Vikings”. I love all three of these shows, but I still stand by it that, “Walking Dead – Season 3” was pretty disappointing and went downhill for me. Back to “Game of Thrones – Season 3”, I can understand everyone getting stoked for the  new season but…

… this season of GOT, is not going to be what you expect. I’ve just finished re-reading Book Three, “Storm of Swords” in which, this Season is going to be adapted from. There’s going to be some big and shocking moments this Season. Just to warn you there is not going to be happy endings for some major characters of the series. This Season will for sure, piss everyone off so much, that you will be pulling your hair out of your skulls. Hint: A few of your favorite characters are gonna get killed off, and I’m not saying who. This is gonna be a big season and controversial, for sure. It will be a ratings booster for HBO, and this season will get everyone talking. I’ve read book 3 and I know what happens with the main characters. Don’t worry though, Daeny and Tyrion don’t get killed off, but big things happen to them too. I don’t want to give too much away. Just wanted to warn you all that this is not gonna be an easy season to watch.

I’m looking forward to it, though. It’s gonna be interesting to see how they’re gonna pull this off. This Sunday is gonna be a good night of TV. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Walking Dead will end and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s gonna happen next on “Vikings” after episode 4 last Sunday. If you haven’t started watching, “Vikings” yet, they have all the episodes of Season 1 so far on the History channel website, if you want to catch up. “Vikings” is becoming addicting and starting to get intense.

TV used to be garbage but it’s slowly starting to improve with all the good shows coming out. We still have the final season of “Breaking Bad”, and “Dexter”, coming this Summer, so I’m looking forward to those too.

“Game Of Thrones” Season 3 gets slightly expanded for some episodes…

I love this show, “Game of Thrones”, and can’t wait for this show to return at the end of March. For the past 2 seasons, there have been 10 episodes each for about 50 – 52 minutes, but this season some of the episodes will be slightly longer. No longer than 60 minutes. That’s pretty cool ’cause book 3, “Storm of Swords”, is a pretty long book and they want to try and fit in as much as possible. Especially the important scenes like the “Red Wedding” for example, which is for sure, going to be a pretty big scene. “Thrones” is one of the best shows on TV, and I’m going to re-read “Storm Of Swords” in time before Season 3, so I can be reminded of the plot. This is such a great show.

And yes, I’m a huge Viking and Medieval nut. Love that stuff!

Cool Video: Casting revealed for “Game of Thrones – Season 3” but they are still missing 2very important characters…

The season 3 casting of “Game of Thrones”, is looking great so far, but still they are missing a few very important characters. Where is Mance Rayder, and Ramsay Bolton? Hopefully, they’re not gonna leave those characters out.

Check out this great video that was shown at SDCC during the “Game of Thrones” panel.

I think George W. Bush’s head on a stake in “Game of Thrones” is hilarious, but it should have been Obama instead…

Oh my, how come I didn’t notice that? I’m sure nobody did. I didn’t even listen to the DVD commentary when he said it, and now it makes me want to. HBO, then, admitted they were wrong, and out of line, so they apologized.

See the article, here.

No need to apologize for this. I think it’s pretty funny and everyone else would too! That’s karma for being a bad president!

Why took “Game of Thrones” this long to make one of the best episodes of the series…”Blackwater”…was incredible…

I missed “Game of Thrones” last Sunday, ’cause I was becoming less interested in this Season. This Season of “Game of Thrones”, hasn’t been that good. Why? Because this Season has been changing so much of the stories from the books. Altering the characters, and leaving important characters out from the books, lots of other things. They’re following the Tyrion vs. Joffery feud pretty well, but everything else they’re changing around. They even changed the Arya story a lot too.

Somebody told me that last Sunday’s episode of “Game of Thrones”, the “Blackwater” episode was one of the best episodes of this Season. After watching the re-run of that episode on DVR, I agree! The “Blackwater” battle was the best episode of this season.

Why is “Game of Thrones – Season 2” kind of boring this year? Well the pacing of the show is kinda slow this season. There’s not much violence and gory stuff. “Game of Thrones – Season 1” was very violent and gory. Season 2 didn’t have much of that, up until the “Blackwater” episode. The “Blackwater” battle was pretty epic, felt like a movie on the big screen.

Tyrion is going to be much uglier now, after what happened to him during the battle (Minor spoiler: Getting half of his face, chopped off). Don’t get me wrong, I still love the “Game of Thrones” franchise, it’s just that the books are way better, of course. I wish they would do more with the Brienne Maid of Tarth character, ’cause that’s a good character that doesn’t get too much screen time.

In other news, I also DVR’d “Hatfields & McCoys”, the western mini series on the History channel with Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton, I DVR’D both parts, and I’ll start watching them today. I’ll review “Hatfields & McCoys” later this week. Looking forward to checking it out. I missed the first part ’cause I forgot it was on, so I DVR’d the re-runs on the History Channel.

This month is “Game of Thrones” marathon for me…

With the return of “Game of Thrones – Season 2” coming in April 1st, I have decided to start re-watching “Season 1” on DVD tonight. Watched the first two episodes. “Game of Thrones” DVD, HBO did a really good job with them. The picture and sound is really nice.

Plus, I have also decided to start re-reading, “A Clash of Kings”. The second book of the series. I want to be reminded of the plot for “Season 2”, so I’m re-reading the second book. Once I started the second book, I still couldn’t put it down. The book is still addicting just like the first time I read it.

I just love the series too much. The books and the show. It’s a celebration, that’s what it’s all about.

I have three favorite characters for the “Game of Thrones” series: Tyrion, Arya, and Daenerys. Of course, I loved Khal Drogo and Eddard Stark, but they were only around for the first season, not trying to give spoilers.

Wait until you see “Game of Thrones – Season 2” which will be adapted from, “A Clash of Kings”. The Arya storyline for the next one will be interesting. The next book focuses on Arya more.

Looking forward to the return of “Game of Thrones” in April!!!

Man, I can’t wait for this show to comeback! Season 2 premiere date is officially April 1st. Season 1 comes out on DVD this coming Tuesday. I’m definitely buying the DVD, so I can re-watch Season 1 before Season 2. I love the books, and love the show. “Game of Thrones” is one of the best shows on TV other than “Walking Dead”, “Dexter”, and “Breaking Bad”.
