The Grunge era back in the 90’s, was a huge part of my life. I believe I was a young kid back then during my high school days. I listened to all the Grunge bands: Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc. That era was part of what made me want to become a guitar player.
I’ll always love the music of Nirvana and AIC. RIP, both Kurt and Layne.

In celebration of Nirvana’s iconic album, “Nevermind” being re-released as a 20th Anniversary deluxe edition, Butch describes Kurt’s work ethic in the studio while making the album. What a lot of people may wonder, was Kurt good to work with in the studio? Butch Vig, the band’s producer, said Kurt was very difficult to work with. Butch says Kurt was a pain in the ass and had mood swings.

Kurt may have been a pain in the ass, but that’s what you must do if you want your songs the way you want them to be. Kurt had a vision of what his songs would wanted to sound like in his head and he was just trying to put it out on recording. So to do that, he must harass and annoy Butch to get the sound that he wanted. It’s about the artistic direction, the music.
Actually, Kurt was doing nothing wrong, it’s Butch that’s actually being the pain in the ass. Butch should have done what Kurt wanted.

When Nirvana was going to promote their “Deluxe Edition” of “Nevermind”, facebook staff pulled the album cover you see above because of the naked baby on the photo. Facebook said it was against the TOS because nudity wasn’t allowed.

That is pretty silly and wrong for facebook to do that. Nirvana has been around way before facebook was launched.
It seems the team behind Nirvana negotiated with facebook to have the picture back on their page because it looks like Nirvana has it back up, here.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the Nevermind “20th Anniversary Delux edition”. I love Nirvana. Yep, facebook enforces the TOS on everybody, doesn’t matter if you’re a famous band or celebrity. They take action on everybody no matter who breaks the rules.

Nirvana’s music means so much to me. I remember the day I heard “Smells Like Teen Spirit” on MTV, I went out and bought “Nevermind” right away. I was a teenager in high school back in those days. I played “Nevermind” to death, I never got tired of that album. I still have that same album in my CD collection today. Never got rid of it. Never let anybody borrowed it. I kept it to this day. I love Nirvana.
The question you have to ask is, would Nirvana still be around, if Kurt was alive? Nah, I don’t think so. They’re just like every other band, they would have split up anyway for other projects. If Kurt was still alive, I’m sure he would have moved on to a different musical genre.
I love all of Nirvana’s album, but “Nevermind” will always stand up to me the most. I can listen to that album 20 times a day, and I would never get tired of it.
Happy Birthday Kurt, and RIP. I’m pretty sure Dave and Krist, Courtney and Francis are celebrating your birthday while you smile up in heaven.

Nobody ever thought a Nirvana reunion would ever happen, but it did just earlier this week. Dave Grohl decided to give Nirvana/Foo Fighter fans a gift by reuniting the surviving members of Nirvana at a secret Foo Fighters show in Los Angeles. Yes, Krist Novoselic was there to play bass, and the former Nirvana touring guitarist, Pat Smear, was there to play guitar, while Dave Grohl played the drums and sang.
The Foo Fighters were mainly there to perform songs from their upcoming new album they’re recording with legendary producer, Butch Vig, but the reunited Nirvana did perform one Nirvana song which is “Marigold”, a b-side from the “In Utero” sessions. Nirvana didn’t play any of their big hits or anything like that.

Is this a tease that Dave plans on reuniting Nirvana full time for a tour, so the band can play all their big hits? Who knows, maybe that will happen. Of course, it isn’t really a real Nirvana reunion without Kurt Cobain. I think everyone knows that. It’s a good thing Dave did this, ’cause I’m sure that is what Kurt would have wanted.
The band played, “Marigold”, because that was the only Nirvana song which Dave Grohl sang the lead vocals on, and not Kurt.
Here’s hoping for more Nirvana shows if Dave and Krist agrees with it!

Courtney Love is dead, according to the Hole rocker. Courtney recently dropped her “Love” nickname, and went back to her real birth name, Courtney Michelle Harrison. The reason she changed it? Well because she is sick of talking about Kurt Cobain and claims she doesn’t need that name for the rest of her life.

So the Kurt Cobain biopic movie is finally moving forward. They have tapped, Oren Moverman, to write and direct the Kurt Cobain movie. To those who don’t know who Oren Moverman is, he did that movie, “The Messenger”. I know the Kurt Cobain biopic is getting a lot of hate, saying it should have never been done out of respect for Kurt, but I actually want the Kurt Cobain biopic to happen. He really deserves one.
With music biopics like “La Bamba”, “Walk the Line”, “Great Balls of Fire” and “Ray”…those films are really amazing and successful.
I think a Kurt Cobain film would be very dark, moving and powerful if the script is good and the acting is good. Just imagine the film concentrates on Kurt’s dark past with drugs, marriage with Courtney, being suicidal, depressed, etc. Could the end of the Kurt Cobain movie actually show his suicide where he locks himself in a room and shoots himself in the head? That’s probably gonna happen. With the right actor, I think it could be a moving and powerful performance that could have Oscar potential.
The Kurt Cobain biopic could be something very special.
I’m sure there are more music biopics film coming in the future like there’s a Bob Marley biopic in the works. Also there’s a Jimi Hendrix and Michael Jackson biopic in the planning stages too.
Who do I think should play Kurt Cobain? Probably Taylor Kitsch from “Friday Night Lights” would be my pick. If you look at Taylor both are very similar. This would be a good acting opportunity for Taylor so I hope they consider him. While Taylor is known as a TV star, he sometimes appears in big screen movies. Taylor Kitsch last appeared in, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” where he played the Bandit villain.
As for who to play Courtney Love, Drew Barrymore maybe? As for who to play Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, I don’t know yet. Maybe unknown actors for them?

That’s what TMZ says. This could explain Frances Bean wanting a permanent restraining order against her own Mom, Courtney Love. Courtney could be abusive and violent to her.
I’m sure those who don’t know much about law, you’re probably thinking, what, I thought “domestic violence” only happens with straight couples?
Well, parents being violent toward their own children can also be considered, “Domestic violence”. Look it up and research it. We all knew that Courtney could have violent mood swings and a temper tantrum, so this comes to no surprise to me. Frances is doing a good thing getting the hell away from this bitch.

Courtney Love is just proving herself the bitch she really is, and now Frances Bean wants nothing to do with her.
Some may assume that Frances Bean’s guardenship was taken away from Courtney Love by force, which was started by Kurt’s mother and his sister, but it wasn’t. This was all Frances Bean’s decision. She is 17, she’s old enough to make her own decisions.
It’s looking like Courtney and Frances Bean aren’t getting along, and now Frances wants to live with her grandmother, Kurt’s biological mother. Some also assumed that this was all ’cause of Courtney’s drug addiction. The lawyer came out and said, Courtney is clean and no longer on drugs.
TMZ also said, that Courtney is willing to let Frances Bean’s grandmother take care of her and live with her. So there is nothing negative about this guardian thing.
This proves that Courtney Love is a cunt, that she always has been. There’s gotta be a reason Frances Bean wants to live with her grandmother instead of Courtney. Only obvious reason, is that they aren’t getting along at all.
I understand that Courtney hasn’t been the same woman since Kurt’s suicide but she needs to get the fuck over herself, or she could end up being suicidal like Kurt.

Uh oh. I’m willing to bet, Courtney Love is one pissed off mother, right about now. How much do you want to bet Courtney will respond back in a rage? She will go to war against Kurt’s mother, Wendy, and his sister.
Courtney and Frances, both seem to have a loving relationship. Isn’t Frances, 17 years old now? With someone in that age, don’t you think she is old enough to be on her own and take care of herself? Yep, that’s the way I look at things.
This is about to get ugly fast. That’s the thing with famous parents, jealousy and egos will get in the way with family, and that’s what this is all about ’cause this is all about Kurt Cobain. I see Courtney fighting back very quick here.
No matter how out of control and crazy the mother is, the daughter or son belongs to her. Frances herself is probably even pissed off. I’m sure she wants to be with Courtney and not with grandma.
