Report: Summit Entertainment says no director hired for “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” yet, so does this mean Drew Barrymore still has a chance?

Summit Entertainment, just denied reports that a director has been hired for “Eclipse”. So this means, that the Spanish horror director, Juan Antonio Bayona, getting hired is just a silly rumour. This also means that an opportunity for Drew Barrymore is still open.

I really want Summit Entertainment to give “Eclipse” to Drew. I really think she can do a good job with the “Twilight” movies. She’s a big fan of the horror genre and I think she can make it work.

So Drew, you can now sigh with relief about this news, Summit hasn’t picked anybody yet! Good luck to Drew, I hope she gets it.

In defense of Robert Pattison, this post is aimed toward the men that bash him…

I don’t know about you “Twilight” fans out there, but I am getting tired of guys bashing Robert Pattison for attracting many girls and making fun of his Edward Cullen character. Well yeah, of course. I think that’s pretty much the obvious reason Summit Entertainment hired Robert Pattison to be the leading Edward Cullen star. He’s simply a chick magnet.

I think we can safely say that guys who make fun of Robert Pattison over this, comes out of jealousy. Yep, there’s that word again. I know you’re getting sick of seeing that word in my blog, but I have to say it again to get my point across. I’m sure guys like myself wish we were as good looking as him. Us men probably wish we can get a huge crowd of girls following us everywhere we go, which we can’t do.

Robert Pattison is the Beatles of Hollywood. You know how back in the old days of the Beatles where girls would follow them everywhere? It is that era again, with Robert Pattison of “Twilight” this time. I actually find this Robert Pattison guy quite interesting, so I have nothing negative against the guy at all.

Even though he is not a vampire, of course, he looks almost exactly like one, which is another reason why he got the “Twilight” role. I have a feeling that the horror movie industry will be all over this guy. Once this dude, gets done filming the “Twilight” series, , I see Robert starring in a lot of adult R rated horror films. I see him playing vampire characters in various other vampire movies, possibly.

If he sticks with the horror genre after “Twilight”, I think he’ll become the most successful actor in the horror movie industry. He could be just as big as Robert Englund and all those guys.

All the girls loving Robert Pattison, and all the men hating on him, is only the beggining. It’s just proof that he’s on his way in becoming a legendary star in the making. Love him or hate him, gotta give the man credit. I think Robert is pretty cool and can’t wait for “New Moon” to hit theater!

Report: Drew Barrymore reveals she really wants to direct, “Twilight Saga: Eclipse”…

Drew Barrymore, speaks out on reports saying, it is true that she is one of the directors being considered to helm the third Twilight film, “Twilight Saga: Eclipse”. Sounds like she really wants the opportunity pretty badily, but she admits that it’s their choice on what director to choose, so this means it’s possible that she would not be chosen.

More on it here:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/09/AR2009030901485.html

Knowing that Drew has starred in a couple of horror films in the past: “Cat’s Eye”, “Firestarter”, “Waxwork II”, etc. Yes, I think she has what it takes to direct a vampire film.

She probably has her own vision up her sleeve, which is why she wants to do it so badily.

They’ll give her the opportunity, I’m pulling for you Drew. This will be great for her.

EDIT To add: It’s either she’s dying to direct the third “Twilight” movie because she’s a big fan of the books or she’s dying for a hook up with Robert Pattison? Me thinks she wants to get shagged by the Edward Cullen star.

Confirmed: Dakota Fanning to star in “Twilight Saga: New Moon”!!!

Teen star, Dakota Fanning, has officially signed to play alonside Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart in, “Twilight Saga: New Moon”. Dakota is set to play one of the main villains, she is playing Jane, a member of Italy’s evil Volturi.

Thought: Maybe Stephen King was just joking about Stephenie Meyer? Maybe we’re not picking up his sarcasm…

After thinking about it a while and after reading Stephen King’s rants about Stephenie again, maybe he’s just joking and fooling around. Maybe he really does respect Stephenie and the work she does, I think we’re not (including me) picking up his sarcasm. He’s always had this weird sense of humor when doing interviews with the media.

If Stephenie wasn’t a good writer, then her books wouldn’t get published at all. I think Stephen knows it. That’s how I think he could possibly be kidding around and making fun of her a bit.

There are hints of sarcasm we’re not picking up in his rants, here, I’ll quote them: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29001524/

“It’s exciting and it’s thrilling and it’s not particularly threatening because it’s not overtly sexual…” – Stephen King on Twilight…and here, ““Both Rowling and Meyer, they’re speaking directly to young people… The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can’t write worth a darn. She’s not very good.”

As you can see he’s mixing both positive and negative thoughts about Twilight.

Maybe in a few day’s he’ll come out and say, “I’m only kidding when I say Stephenie is a bad writer, I actually love her.”

Report: Stephen King not a fan of Stephenie Meyer, master of horror bashes the “Twilight” author…

Stephen King has read the “Twilight” series by Stephenie Meyer, and get ready for some harsh criticism by the master of horror. King compared both J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer by saying, “Rowling can write, Stephenie can’t”.

Twilight fans, click here to read what Stephen King have to say about Stephenie Meyer, if you dare:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29001524/

As a fan of the “Twilight” series, this is hilarious coming from a guy who hasn’t written a great novel since “The Dark Tower” series and a guy who is no longer a bestselling author, sounds to me that King is a bit jealous of Stephenie’s popularity. Yeah, I’m sure Mr. King would love all the popularity that she’s getting. King should shut his mouth.

Stephenie’s a fantastic writer. He shouldn’t compare her to J.K. Rowling at all ’cause both writers have completely different styles. I’m sure Stephenie maybe a huge fan of Mr. King’s work and I’m sure his harsh critique broke her heart. His writing probably influenced her own writing as well.

Confirmed: Taylor Lautner reprising role for Jacob Black in “New Moon”!!!!!!

Director Chris Weitz who is helming “New Moon”, the Twilight sequel, announced Taylor Launter will be reprising his role as Jacob Black. At first, Summit Entertainment were trying to decide whether or not they should have Taylor return as Jacob Black, but it was said that Stephenie Meyer first brought up the decision. She talked Chris Weitz into signing Taylor.

From Stephenie Meyer’s official website:

http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/

Great news!! I thought Taylor made a perfect Jacob Black and don’t see that character being replaced. Taylor should play Jacob in all 4 Twilight movies. Kudos for Stephenie for saving Taylor’s job!! That shows how cool she really is!

Confirmed: “New Moon” to be released Nov. 20th, 2009…

Summit Entertaintment already confirmed a release date to “New Moon” which will be directed by Chris Weitz, Melissa Rosenberg wrote the script. The film is confirmed for a release date of Nov. 20th. Due to no new “Harry Potter” film being released around Thanksgiving in 2009, this gave “New Moon” the opportunity to get another November date again as they did with the first movie, “Twilight”, was released November 21st earlier this year.

Hopefully the Nov. 20th, 2009 date is set in stone, because it’s possible there could be push backs if Chris Weitz doesn’t finish the movie in time. I hope Chris does a good job with it, I hope he stays true to the novel ’cause I feel that “New Moon” is better than the first. If you read the book, “New Moon”, it stays away from the romance, so there will be more thrills and chills in the next one. “New Moon” will be more violent too. Will it get a PG-13 rating because of it? Who knows.

Confirmed: Chris Weitz to direct “New Moon”…official…

“The Golden Compass” director, Chris Weitz, has signed with Summit Entertainment to direct “New Moon”, the sequel to “Twilight”. This means it is official. He is the next director, replacing Catherine Hardwicke.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117997358.html?categoryid=13&cs=1

I have mixed feelings about this, I don’t like the director choice. I do like the idea of a man directing the next Twilight movie though, I wish Summit would take their time, finding the right director. “The Golden Compass” was a terrible failure and that film didn’t look good at all. Weitz will probably fuck up “New Moon” too. I hope he makes the sequel better than the first but I doubt it.

Report: Chris Weitz been offered to direct “New Moon” by Summit Entertainment…

Summit Entertainment is not wasting any time trying to find a director replacement for “New Moon”. Summit Entertainment offered film director Chris Weitz an opportunity to direct the “Twilight” sequel. He is the director of such films as “The Golden Compass”, the first “American Pie” comedy film, and “About a Boy”.

I don’t like the director choice. I hope he turns it down and Summit finds a better choice. I still say go for either M. Night Shyamalan or Sam Raimi. Either of those two guys would improve the Twilight series for everyone to see it.
