I think it’s a proven fact that people are more interested in reading my movie reviews more than any other topic…

Everywhere I go chances are, I’m going to get people talking to me in person — those who follow my facebook or this blog — and I often get a lot of people telling me that they love reading all of my Hollywood films and stuff. They like the info I put out there about Hollywood and they enjoy reading my reviews. I have gotten people interested in movies and TV shows ’cause they follow my facebook and my blog.

Once in a while, I get a few people who are interested in my political views and bodybuilding topics but it’s all my movie postings that are most popular.

Maybe writing about movies is what I’m best at. I even get a few people telling me I would be a great “movie critic” and could do it for a living… kind of like the next, Roger Ebert. I don’t see talking about movies as a job. I see it as a hobby and something fun to do. I’m just a big movie buff and feel the need to be more open to the public about my thoughts on film and Hollywood.

In order for me to become a movie critic and do it for a living… I would need a college degree for that, I think. Take English/grammar classes in college to improve my writing skills. I think my writing skills is pretty good but still could be a little better. I’ve been studying English/grammar on my own. Anyway, you don’t need to be a really good writer and be good at grammar to become professional at writing, anyways ’cause that’s what you hire editors for. I’m sure Roger Ebert wasn’t the best writer even though he appeared to be… I’m sure he had editors too.

Maybe my main focus should be on movies more? I’ll be doing my top 15 movies list for 2013 this year but I’m gonna wait until toward the end of the year to make the list public ’cause I’m gonna wait to see the new Hobbit movie, “Desolation of Smaug”, then I’ll post the list.

I’m just a big movie buff and love talking about them. I’ve been obsessed with films ever since I was a child. They are still a huge part of my life to this day.

I think my shyness around women is pretty much defeated!!!

I went to see EBJ at the Putnam Den last night… the show was a blast and the band played a really good set like they always do but once again, women were all over me at the show last night. I danced with 3 different women last night. 2 women approached me to dance with them and I approached one myself to dance with during a slow song. I also talked to some other women as well.

On the final song for the night, a woman approached me to dance with her and even though it definitely looked like that she has a boyfriend/husband or something… he was real cool to let her dance with me.

One woman that I was dancing with was really hammered and didn’t know what she was doing but she was still fun!!!!

The slow dance with that other woman wasn’t just a regular slow dance… it was a romantic one actually!

On my way out the door after the show got over with… I went to pick up my coat that I had to pay for to hang up and the lady who gave me my coat back was real gorgeous looking so I decided to tell her that. I said to her, “You look gorgeous btw, I like that dress you’re wearing”. See? I gave her a great compliment and I really meant it that she was gorgeous, she had a nice dress on. She was smiling from ear to ear after I said it and she said, “Thank You”, so I think I just made her day.

I told two women to their face that she was “Gorgeous” and “beautiful” last night.

I’m practicing and working on my confidence… and it’s working. The dating advice from those youtube videos that I watched really works! Confidence is key to getting women… no other way around it. I saw one video where one guy said, “In order to eliminate shyness, just go and do it… the shyness will go away”. This guy was right. I tried it and it really worked.

I think I’ve got it with the women, guys! I’m beginning to see that maybe women do find me good looking and attractive! To attract women on dance floors, just look like you’re having a great time and they’ll approach you! This makes me want to start hitting the nightclubs like maybe Vapor in Saratoga Springs to see what kind of chicks I attract there.

Now I gotta start getting their phone numbers and asking them out on dates. Next goal. See that? I’m actually doing something about the women thing. If I keep it up, I could get myself a nice girlfriend before you know it!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Enjoy yourselves!

Thanks Nippertown!!!!

Just wanted to give a quick thanks to Greg of Nippertown. ALL of my posts about “The Jammy’s” made this popular local music blog.

Check it out, here.

If my posts made Nippertown… then I must be doing something right.

I’m just doing it out of love Capital District! I love local music and believe in it… would hate to see the music scene get ruined by egomaniacs trying to get more attention. They just need to get out of this area and go away. Just want you all to watch out who to trust around here ’cause not everyone around here is your friend. Remember that.

Killing rumors…

There’s a nasty rumor going around that some certain people said that I’ve been sending TierOneTalent a bunch of hateful and harassing e-mails… and they even accused me of mailing a harassing letter by regular mail to him. It’s NOT me. Don’t believe any of it as all of it’s just false accusations. It’s just that this guy has been getting a lot of hate mail from people complaining that his Jammy award show was nothing but a disaster. Like I said, this guy can’t take criticism of any kind. He’s been sending all the hate mail to the police and I heard they even thought about turning me in. Those hate mails were NOT from me at all. They have no proof of it and it would be hard to prove.

Dude…. people have all their right to talk shit about your dumb award show… get over it and take it like an adult. The police won’t do anything about them anyway.

Just proves my point that the people behind The Jammy’s can’t be trusted whatsoever.

This area actually promotes local music negatively… not positively…

This area thinks they are promoting local music, “positively” but from what I’m seeing… they aren’t. They never had and they never will. How??? Let me explain…

It’s not only jealousy or ego… it’s always been about “cliques” around here. It’s just different groups of musicians trying to promote their little community of musician friends. That’s all it is around here pretty much. It seems that musicians only support musicians with talent and think they have something. They only support the ones who are “professional”. It’s all about supporting their musician friends in this area. It’s all about promoting their friends and trying to get them recognized. They ignore the musicians around here who think that don’t matter. There are plenty of talented musicians who are struggling around the area who are being left out of these guys. Musicians around here can be pretty opinionated and “negative” when they come across musicians who they think are untalented (like myself, for example).

I’m not trying to defend myself… even if I’m a struggling musician… (am proud of what I do, I work hard and try my best to get myself out there)… I’m just saying that there are tons of talent around here that are getting ignored by the area. This area doesn’t care about struggling musicians trying to break into the music scene.

What I’m saying is that this area has always been a popularity contest… period… end of story. It’s not just that award show… it’s always been a popularity contest all around. This area is about trying to get their name known instead of supporting musicians of all levels and talent.

I hosted my own acoustic shows in the past at Caffe Lena, Slow Jed’s, and Valentine’s back in 2006-7. At those shows, they were never about “cliques” or trying to promote a musical community of friends. Those shows were just a good ol’ time. Just a bunch of musicians getting together and play each other songs that we wrote. It didn’t matter if they were professional or amateur musicians. It didn’t matter if they were established or not. It didn’t matter if they sucked musically as well. I welcomed all on those gigs of mine in the past. That’s HOW you treat local music positively folks. Supporting it all. No egos. Keeping our negative opinions to ourselves and just enjoying ourselves playing on the stage.

If you want to promote local music positively we should all get together and welcome all talent (even me). Nope. Nobody wants to promote local music like that. In this day and age it’s about becoming a big rock star with these people.

This area promotes local music, “positively”??? HA!!!!!!!!! KISS MY ASS!!!

This area has always been a negative music scene.

Inspirational quote by John Lennon…

1426607_236523923177240_2028369308_n

I totally agree with, John!

What he said reminds me of myself which I had to re-share this in facebook and now I’m re-sharing this here on my site.

Don’t believe people when they make claims that your honesty or negativity won’t make you any friends. It’s bullshit!

Your honesty may not be for everyone but you’ll still get people who will respect you for it. While my honesty online over the years have been controversial, I have made new friends and fans out of it. People stuck with me and believed in me. Trust me, I’ve met some pretty cool people out of it.

If people don’t like your honesty and no longer your friend ’cause of it… that means they never believed in you after all that time. When people stick with you and new people believe in you, they are the right friends.

While my honesty maybe tough and brutal… I have a lot of people out there who respect me for that, and I’m grateful. Seriously!

When you want to start special events like award shows, competitions, fundraisers, etc…

I understand that you want to show your love for local music and support it but if you plan to start special shows like award shows, band competitions, fundraisers, etc. — keep in mind you will get all kinds of mixed criticism from good to bad about your event. When you start to get bad criticism for your event… you gotta learn to take it like a man and accept it. If you don’t and if you become all defensive at all the critics… then that shows that you don’t have what it takes to run your own event and shows that you are unprofessional. Be flattered at all feedback and take it with heart.

It’s pretty clear that the people behind “The Jammy’s”… TierOneTalent and his friends can’t take any criticism of any kind. They cry when they get called out for their shady behavior and lies. They even don’t like negative criticism when people complain about who’s nominated or who won. Shows that people like that are frauds. This was just a DIY (do-it-yourself) award show, NOT legit. It wasn’t really run by professional business people. Just a bunch of amateurs living in dreamland. They’re trying to become kings of the music scene. Egomaniacs trying to get into the spotlight by exploiting other talent.

Welcome to the Albany music scene, people.

I’ve been dealing with a lot of crazy and whacky shit with musicians around the scene for the past decade or so.

I’ve ran my own shows in the past before and I always had my 100% professionalism about those shows. These guys behind “The Jammy’s” don’t have professionalism at all.

When you want to run your own event… especially when it’s public… people will respond and will react of how you run it. People will be opinionated and call you out on a bunch of stuff whether you like it or not. Don’t be a baby about negative feedback when you host your own shows. Take it like a man and ignore it. Just be flattered that you’re being talked about good or bad.

Not everyone is going to treat your event positively. You can’t please every person on this planet and you can’t force people to agree and like everything you do. People are going to be honest… like it or not.

If you think I’m going to stop what I’m doing… not a chance. I’ll keep telling the truth about “The Jammy’s” (and other TierOneTalent events) for next year too… hopefully it won’t happen next year once everyone finally finds out the truth about this guy.

Thoughts about the Jammy’s last night…

1455945_550997594992749_891330401_n

I didn’t go to the Jammy’s at Trickshots at Clifton Park last night… of course, I didn’t. Why didn’t I go??? Well, come to think of it… going to a show where I’ll get forced to watch people do a lot of ass-kissing and jerking off is not my idea of a good time. That’s exactly what went on last night. Too much ass-kissing and jerking off.

I stumbled across some photos of the event of someone’s facebook page and like I expected… the show turned out absolutely ridiculous. The show went on as planned and it followed the programming schedule that I posted the other day. Yes, the show gave out “real” trophies I saw. There were local musicians there pretending to be celebrities and playing dress-up. Dressing up like celebs at the Grammy’s, ya know? I’ve seen some people wearing fancy clothing and a few guys even wore tuxedos!!!!!!! (LOL!)

Then I went to the Tier One Talent facebook page and seen that some guy already posted negative feedback of the show… he complained why his favorite band didn’t get the win ’cause some other tribute band got the win for that award even if that band wasn’t on the ballot… the guy said…

“Gotta tell ya that’s the worst awards show hope its better next year how can Kisstory Tribute get beat out by a band that wasnt on the ballot any answers to this if so please speak up also not only was that band not on the ballot i never heard ot saw them play around here but kisstory you guys kick ass”

My response to that comment, why bother with the show next year if you didn’t like this year?

I knew this TierOneTalent guy was gonna pull something shady during the show and there it is in the italics above.

Winners are going off about how they’re excited that they took awards home and their supporters are showing the winners support, of course.

You see… a lot of people around here just live under the delusion of treating local music, “positively”. They treat everything, “positively”. They don’t wanna look at things with reality and honesty. People are ridiculous, in my opinion. I treat local music “positively” too, don’t get me wrong. I love local music and support a lot of talent around here. We have talented bands and musicians around here for sure but I’m not gonna treat everything “positively”. I like being realistic about stuff, ya know? The reason I’m honest and brutal about local music is because…. I don’t wanna come off as pretentious and “fake” which a lot of people seem to be around here.

The award show last night really proved that musicians can be really ego-driven people… they’re crazy.

The sad thing is that people in the scene just doesn’t realize that the award show last night was all about “conflict of interest”. Just this TierOneTalent guy trying his best to promote his fake company by exploiting talent in this area.

TierOneTalent didn’t post the winner results yet and as soon as he gets them up, I’ll post it here asap.

Some of you may ask, why am I obsessed with bashing this thing? Well, for the most part it’s fun. Plus, I’m trying to give a reality check to people that they shouldn’t support events hosted by TierOneTalent. I understand how this area wants to treat local music positively — all cool and good — but they must watch who they trust around here.
