Tabloids & rumors…

As I said before, I don’t mind people talking about me, either good or bad, talk all kinds of shit about me, all you want to, I don’t care. The one thing you don’t want to do is to make things up about my life.

The homosexual rumors and the horse accident rumors, people still seem to be obsessing with that stuff. I don’t know why.

– I’m not a gay man. Although, I can understand why some would think of me this way ’cause of my fascination with muscles & fitness, and also, I don’t date women too much. No matter what you think of me, I’m not gay at all, I’m a 100% straight. I keep getting these kind of rumors, I have no choice but to deal with it. I don’t date women too much ’cause I choose not to. I enjoy the single life. It’s by choice. I will get a girlfriend at some point (hopefully), it’s all about waiting for the right woman to come along. Nobody likes being called a gay person, right?

– The horse accident. Several years ago, I was involved in a car accident in which I was a passenger. The car accident involved horse back riders in the road late at night. People didn’t even get the whole story and I only told parts of it, not the whole thing. What’s messed up about this is that people thought it was funny and they thought it was comedic material. Then I’ve started seeing them making offensive photoshop work of me with horses. No matter what kind of accident someone was in, you never make fun of them. It’s just wrong and mean. I could have been killed that night, and for them to make fun of that accident, you think I’m just going to ignore that? They continue that shit to this day. Now it makes me wish, I never made that story public and kept it to myself.

-I am also not a mentally retarded person in which people seemed to be confused on. I may not be perfect, but that doesn’t mean I am one. It is also wrong to call people that. You are no better than others. You don’t make fun of and bully people who are because they can’t help for what they are. I’m a normal human being. Nobody likes being called a mentally retarded person either. I may not speak well (admittedly), and may not have a straight back, but I’m sure you have worse things than I do. Everyone’s not perfect and that goes for you.

I doubt this post will stop the bullshit and hopefully it’ll help clear everything.

This Day In Music: 11/14/11

Here’s the “This Day In Music” for today.

Kev

– In 1960: Ray Charles went to No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘Georgia On My Mind’, a No.24 hit in the UK. His cover of Hoagy Carmichael’s 1930 standard, became the first of three No.1 hits for the singer.

– In 1962: The Beatles played the final show of a 14 night run at the Star-Club, Hamburg, West Germany.

– In 1977: Kiss played the first date on their 51-date Alive II Tour at the Myriad Convention Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

– In 1981: The Police had their fourth UK No.1 single with ‘Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic’, a No.3 hit in the US.

– In 1987: The soundtrack from the film ‘Dirty Dancing’ went to No.1 on the US album chart.

– In 1996: Michael Jackson married Debbie Rowe in Sydney Australia. The couple had met when he was diagnosed with vitiligo in the mid-1980s, and she was working as his dermatologist’s assistant. The couple divorced on October 8, 1999, with Rowe giving full custody rights of the children to Jackson with Rowe receiving an $8-million settlement.

– In 2004: The Rolling Stones were refused permission to pursue a claim against their former record company Decca for unpaid royalties through the courts. A High Court judge in London said the dispute would go to arbitration and not be decided in court. The dispute was over their Forty Licks compilation CD, which was released in 2002 and was the first collection to span their entire career.

Ab exercises are pointless and a waste of time…

I used to do a lot of ab exercises like crunches, floor bicycles, planks, etc., but ab exercises are not really needed at all for your workout routine. The way I look at ab workouts, they don’t really do anything to your abs. You’re not gonna get a six pack by wasting a lot of time doing ab workouts. You get that sexy washboard just by not eating a lot and doing plenty of cardio. That’s it.

You keep your calorie intake as low as possible. Stay away from high sugars and fatty foods. Do plenty of cardio from 20-30 minutes a day whether it will be walking, running, biking, or even swimming… you’ll get a six pack successfully in a short time.

I don’t eat a lot of meals throughout the day. Just 3 or 4 meals a day is all I need. I don’t really need to do the 6 meals a day thing. Just do whatever feels right for you. You don’t have to follow anyone else’s rules in fitness, just do your own thing, how you want to.

I keep my healthy nutrition simple, nothing too complicated. I just eat a lot of vegetables, fruits, meats, and a lot of fish. I eat plenty of protein from real food and eat healthy carbs (not simple carbs). Then I’ll eat whatever I want on the weekends only, junk food and everything.

I don’t rely on supplements and protein powders anymore like I used to.

I still got ways to go in fitness. Still trying to find ways to beef up my chest some more. I do want bigger chest pecs and doing the best I can. I still get good feedback on my fitness everywhere I go, people say to me in person that I’m looking more massive every time, so I feel that I’m doing a good job by myself with no personal trainer.

Just eat clean, work out hard, and do plenty of cardio. Those three things is how you get the body you always wanted. I still got a lot to learn and work to do. Not bad for someone who has been doing this for a little over three years. This is only the beginning. Just wait ’til you see what I’m going to look like in the next several years. I’ll be even more massive and ripped then, I’m sure.

I loved “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”…

Last night, I started to watch that Marilyn Monroe, DVD boxset. The first one I watched was, “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”. There is something about Marilyn that puts a smile on your face as soon as she came on screen. She immediately became enjoyable and like-able. She has that power to keep that smile on your face throughout the whole film. Now I can understand why she is so iconic and popular. She had the full package. The beautiful looks, the singing talent and she was an amazing actress.

Jane Russell was great in this film as well. I’m probably going to become addicted to Marilyn Monroe flicks after watching this film. In the past, I was never into Marilyn that much. I only saw a few of her films,”Some Like it Hot”, and “The Seven Year Itch”, were the only two I’ve seen before, but I really should watch more of her films.

I think visiting L.A. and Hollywood is what did it to me. Visiting Hollywood inspired me to get into her more. I want to collect her movies on DVD as much as possible now.

I know I said I would start a blu-ray collection, but I think I will stick with DVD. I’ll only buy Blu Ray discs of my favorite movies, but I will continue to buy random movies on DVD though. I honestly like old school DVD more. I just want to watch the movies, you don’t really need better picture & sound with Blu Ray if you think about it.

Thought: How will the public respond to the Black Sabbath return???

The news of the return of Black Sabbath is great news. We’re all getting very excited. The only thing I’m worried about is the kind of reception the band is going to get when they release their new album. They haven’t released a new album in over 30 years with Ozzy being the frontman.

You have to ask yourself these questions. Will the public still care about them after all the years? The long time metal fans will accept their return of course, but people who like other genres of music outside of metal, might have a hard time accepting their return, though.

Back in the 70’s, Black Sabbath had a hard time trying to get successful with a major label ’cause they used to scare the shit out of people with their music. Could they scare people all over again with their new album? This isn’t the 70’s anymore. In today’s generation, metal fans won’t be scared of their music anymore ’cause they listened to metal for years so I’m sure they are used to the dark and scary lyrics by now. With their upcoming album, I’m pretty sure the album will create a stir in the music industry depending on how dark the lyrics are going to be.

They could get families trying to ban the album to stop kids from buying it to prevent suicides of kids by listening to that music. They might even offend churches and religions with their music. Other countries around the world may even try to ban the album as well. Things like that. Whatever it is, they’re gonna create a stir when they return.

People may know who they were back in the 70’s, but many of people of today won’t know who they are. Black Sabbath with Ozzy will definitely have to try and get their popularity back, and it might be hard for them to do for today’s industry.

Could their new upcoming album be a no. 1 record in the Billboard? It’s too early to say but it’s possible. I’m hoping the album will be really heavy and dark. There will probably be some old school sounding Sabbath on there and I’m sure they will come up with a new style as well.

It’s gonnna be interesting to see what the future of Sabbath is gonna be like up ahead. We’ll just have to wait and see.

– In 1963:  The Beatles recorded a television interview at Westward Television Studios in Plymouth, Devon, for a local teen program “Move Over, Dad”. Due to a large crowd of excited fans outside, The Beatles had to be smuggled from their dressing-room at the ABC Cinema, where they were scheduled to appear that night, into an adjacent building, then through a tunnel, to get to Westward Studios for the interview taping.

– In 1965: The Castiles, which featured a young singer called Bruce Springsteen appeared at The Fire House, Hazlet, New Jersey. The night was billed as a Teenage Go, Go Dance.

– In 1971: Santana scored their second US No.1 album with ‘Santana III’.

– In 1973: Jerry Lee Lewis Jr was killed in a car accident near Hernando, Mississippi. Lewis had been working as the drummer in his father’s band.

– In 1976: Led Zeppelin scored their seventh UK No.1 album with the film soundtrack to ‘The Song Remains The Same’, it peaked at No.2 on the US chart.

– In 1976: Rod Stewart started an 8 week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘Tonight’s The Night’. It was Rod’s second US No.1; it made No.5 in the UK after being banned by many radio stations due to song being about the seduction of a virgin.

– In 1981: U2 kicked off a 23 date North American ‘October’ tour at JB Scott’s in Albany, New York.

– In 1982: Men At Work started a 15-week run at No.1 on the US album chart with their debut album ‘Business As Usual’, which went on to sell over five million copies in the US.

– In 1987: Sonny and Cher reunite for a performance on TV show Late Night with David Letterman.

– In 2000: The Beatles launched their first official website http://www.thebeatles.com. The site went live on the same day as the release of their retrospective ‘Compilation 1’ album.

– In 2002: The three surviving member of Led Zeppelin announced they were re-forming after 22 years for a US stadium tour.

My top 5 favorite Neil Young songs of all time…

Neil Young have always been one of my favorite musicians. He is mostly looked at as a singer/songwriter, but the man is also an excellent guitar player. He doesn’t get looked at for his great guitar playing much, and that’s what I mostly like about him. He’s a great rhythm guitarist and a great lead guitarist as well. He’s not afraid to do different genres whether it will be acoustic folk, light sounds, or heavy rock music. The man can do it all. Neil had a long career and he’s still releasing albums, and touring to this day.

I love a lot of Neil Young song. I pretty much love all of his work. Here are 5 of my absolute favorite songs of his of all times…

1. “Rockin In the Free World

(Great guitar riffs, awesome vocal lines, there’s nothing bad about the song at all. If you think this song is crap, then you have no right to be a music lover. Everyone should love this song. It’s one of his best radio singles.)

2. “Crime In the City

(I can listen to this song so many times and would never get tired of it. Love it too fuckin’ much. The acoustic rhythm playing is just killer, I also love the lyrics and vocals. It maybe a long tune, but I can see why, he had a story to tell in this song.)

3. “Fuckin’ Up

(It’s a Crazy Horse song. Just a badass tune all around. It has some of his best guitar playing.)

4. “Mr. Soul

(One of his best songs ever written. Everything about it is so great. Love both electric and acoustic versions.)

5. “Down By the River

(Another one of those songs I can listen to a 100 times a day and never get bored. He wrote this song so he can solo and improvise for a long while. It’s a song he wrote so he can play live and jam on it for fun. That’s why there isn’t much lyrics in this track. I get goosebumps every time I listen to this track!)

I love too many Neil Young songs, but those 5 above really get to me.

Using the internet to say what you want about me…

People seem to enjoy using the internet to say whatever they want about me. People think they can use the internet to rip into me and make fun of me all they want to. Why do people think they can? Because they all claim they have “freedom of speech”. As long as they’re using my name publicly, it gives me the right to respond or to take some action. I usually ignore the negative critics and backlashes, but I only respond if they say things about me that is not even true. People seem to enjoy making nasty tabloids and rumors about me that are not even true. These guys are lucky I can’t afford a lawyer ’cause you betcha I would have settled all this in the court room with no problem.

One thing, people enjoy telling me is that they say I’m a “delusional” person. Maybe, that’s true. Maybe I am a little bit, but to be honest so are a lot of people online. I can sit here and name tons of people that are way more crazier and delusional than me. That includes a lot of bands & musicians out there who think who are rock stars, when they are just unsigned musicians.

Do I have a rock star like hairdo, put on eye liner, have my arms covered with tattoos and do I ever walk around, acting like I’m a talented person? No. I never had that kind of ego at all. There are too many people on here, who think they are so big & popular, like they are some kind of celebrity or something. I’m not a celebrity or a legend or whatever some want to call me.

I’m just a normal and regular human being. If people don’t want to treat me like one, I’m cool with that, but if you have something to say about me, why don’t you say it here, or you can say it to my face. You don’t really need to use the internet to write what you want about people.

I used to do it in the past in my blogs. I used to write about people however I wanted, ’cause I thought it was freedom of speech too, but I don’t do that anymore. I realized it was bad karma and it was getting me in trouble. I had to change the way I use the internet.

I respect people of all types. No matter who they are or what they look like as I said before. Making fun of people because they are different is just wrong and childish. When you do things like that, you’re still like a high school  teenager who forgot to grow up. This isn’t high school anymore. It’s the real world. I like to live a positive and good life and I try to keep it that way the best as possible.

Life is too short to be a negative person, you know. If that’s the kind of person, you want to be, then so be it. One day you’re gonna feel guilty about it. You might regret being a negative person. If you want to be that kind of person, that’s who you’re going to be looked at forever.

The things you guys write about me, think about it. If I saw you in person, do you think I’m going to be friendly and nice about it after something negative you wrote about me online? Hell no. If you weren’t friendly to me online, then I’m not going to be friendly to your face in person. I don’t forget about these things, guys. If I see you as an asshole online, then I’m going to see you as an asshole in person as well. Just something to think about.

So say and think what you want about me, be my guest. I’m not on here to please everyone, I’m always going to be the same guy. Just being me, and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a free country.

I do have some loyal supporters and true fans on here, so I thank them for their true support. At least they understand me. I’m done talking about myself now. Just wanted to rant about something to get off my chest.

During the 70’s Mitchell failed an audition for Paul McCartney’s new band, Wings.

2012 seems like it’s going to be a return of rock music…

For the past decade: pop, country, rap, R&B, and dance music has been pretty huge in mainstream music. Could Rock finally make a huge come back in 2012?

I mean, we have Black Sabbath coming back next year. Possibly Van Halen and Soundgarden will be releasing new albums  as well. Tool is finally making a return. I’m sure Metallica will release their new album (the true Metallica, that is). Rush is also finally coming back with a new album too.

Rock is slowly trying to come back to the mainstream, and hopefully the genre will kill all this pop garbage next year. 2012 will be a big year for rock & metal and I can’t wait!

I don’t listen to today’s music much ’cause it’s all pop and rap garbage. I want to hear rock & metal, with lots of great guitar playing. That’s my kind of music.
