Congrats Jesse Ventura… enjoy the big pay day you heartless piece of shit!!!

Welp… look like Jesse Ventura won his lawsuit against Chris Kyle’s wife/widow. Jesse Ventura sued her ’cause Chris wrote in his book “American Sniper” that Chris punched Jesse in the face after Jesse said to Kyle that he deserved to lose a few Navy Seals during war. Jesse and Chris had a bit of a bar room brawl. Jesse claims that story was false and claims that he never knew who Chris Kyle was and never met him.

Man, I wish Chris was still alive. I’m sure things would have been a little different. I know Jesse already sued Chris before he died but he vowed to keep the lawsuit going after his death.

Jesse is a selfish anti-American piece of garbage. I never really liked the guy to begin. Ventura has always been a bit of a douche.

How much do you wanna bet that Ventura is lying when he claims that he never knew Chris Kyle? He figures now that Chris died it would be easier for Jesse to get away with it. I’m sure Chris would have defended himself if he was still here. Chris was a pretty tough dude who didn’t like to get messed with.

Enjoy the free cash, Ventura. I’m sure he’ll buy himself a couple of nice cars with it.

“50 Shades of Grey” trailer is finally here…

Welp. The “50 Shades of Grey” trailer is finally here. While I admittedly did read the first book out of curiosity… I thought it was an okay book but it could have been better. The women claimed the book was hot and steamy but it wasn’t for me, though. I didn’t think it was hot and steamy enough. If you wanna read hot and steamy erotica stories, there is better out there… just forget “50 Shades”.

The “50 Shades” movie is not getting a lot of positive feedback from the ladies. They all love the book but so far, they aren’t liking the way the film looks. They seem to be disappointed with the Christian Grey character with the film. They were expecting an actor to be better looking than that.

I’ll still check out the “50 Shades” movie just not in theater. I’ll wait for rental on it. If Anastasia Steele is not gonna be naked and if the film won’t show her boobies, then the film is gonna be worthless.

I think a better choice of a director to make this movie would have been Lars Von Trier… he would have been perfect, in my opinion. If you see his, “Nymphomaniac” movies… you would see why.

Anyway, when “50 Shades” hits theater, you can very well believe that a lot of women are gonna flock to see it. Not sure how well it’s gonna do in the box office, though. Since the film is getting a lot of negative feedback so far, looks like it’s gonna be a flop.

Happy 75 years, Batman!!!

In celebration of Batman day today, I thought it would be cool to make this post. Like most, I am a pretty huge fan of Batman myself. I love the character. The stories. All the creative villains.

I’m not a very big comic book reader but I did read Batman comics as a kid and sometimes I still read Batman graphic novels.

I’m still a lifelong Batman fan. Obsessively watched the old TV series with Adam West and Burt Ward. Watched all the Batman big screen movies over the years. Out of all the Batman actors over the years: Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Christian Bale. You’d have to ask which one who I think was the best Batman??? Some may find this pretty crazy but I always thought Adam West made the best Batman. He felt more realistic and he had personality than all the others. Keaton was great. Bale was pretty good, not amazing but pretty good. Kilmer and Clooney were terrible.

Even though I didn’t think Bale was the greatest Batman, I did love the Nolan movies though. I just liked them for the stories. “Batman: Begins”, “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight: Rises” were all pretty amazing flicks. It really is too bad that Nolan couldn’t do one more Batman flick when he could have if he wanted. He spent many years on the Batman flicks so I can’t blame him for finally wanting to move on. I really wanted to see Nolan’s take on the Riddler and the Penguin.

I think Ben Affleck could do a good job on Batman, though.

Batman is the coolest superhero ever ’cause he’s one of the very few superheroes who doesn’t have any powers. He’s an actual human being who have to fight crime with good fighting skills and gadgets. All of his villains are mostly crazy and insane people with different costumes and makeup.

He’s definitely one of my favorite characters.

I am also looking forward to that new Batman TV show called, “Gotham” which will air on FOX later this Fall… looks like a pretty cool show and I’m gonna check it out to see if it’s any good.

Happy 75 years, Batman and I’m sure there will be 75 years more.

The Game by Neil Strauss…

I just finished reading “The Game” by Neil Strauss today and decided to give you my quick thoughts on it.

The book was quite an interesting read. I couldn’t put it down and it was addicting as hell. This book isn’t just a “how to get girls” book, it is pretty much but it’s more than that. It’s basically a memoir about Neil’s life as a player. It also teaches you how to become more confident around women and people in general. Its’ basically a book about life pretty much.

It tells the story of how Neil used to be a shy, introverted person and wanted to change himself for the better so he started getting together with all of these famous pick up artists like Mystery, Ross Jeffries, David Deangelo, etc. so they can help him become more outgoing and be more confident around women. In the beginning, Neil wasn’t very good at picking up women and kept failing at it until later on, he became successful and he could get any woman he wanted. He could even hook up with Playboy models and porn stars as well.

While the game of being a player may sound fun, there are a lot of risks and dangers involved. There will be all kinds of ups and downs. Being a player will not always be a positive thing. Some of you may ask. What is a player? What does a Player do? A player does not necessarily mean somebody who goes around picking up multiple women like many mistakenly believe. A player is somebody who pretends to care for a woman and all he wants is sex from her, that’s it. Some of you may ask… am I teaching myself how to become a player? Admittedly, maybe a little bit but not really. It seems the more I read  and learn about this stuff, the more intriguing this game stuff sounds.

The only reason I started learning from these pick up artists and dating gurus is for me to help myself become more successful with women. I want to learn to be more confident around them. Be able to approach them and talk to them without any fear.

While this book was mostly written a journal or an online blog, it did give you some helpful information that I’ll take.

I learned a lot of interesting vocabulary… things like “number close”, “kiss close”, “sarging”, “the three second rule”, etc. Some of you may ask, what’s a “kiss close”? Well it’s a technique that Mystery created that when you first meet a girl you close it with a kiss. Neil teaches you how to do it in this book. It is possible to kiss a girl you just met, don’t listen to the doubters out there.

I also like the “three second rule” idea. That’s another Mystery technique is when you see a girl you like you approach her no longer than 3 seconds. Any longer than that, she’ll already think you’re a creeper or a stalker. If you like a girl anywhere, you approach her as soon as possible and she’ll be up for a conversation with you. I like that idea and I think I’ll give that a try. Just standing there checking her out and staring is just creepy. I’ve been guilty of that many times and I gotta stop it. If I think a girl is attractive to me, I gotta learn to approach and talk to her asap.

I also learned the, “IOI” (Indicators of Interest, another Mystery thing). It means when a girl shows you signs of interest like: her asking what your name is, her touching you, giving you direct eye contact as you speak to her, her being all flirty, etc. I learned when you talk to a girl you never give her your name unless she asks you for it. When she does that, it means she’s interested in you. Watch out for all the IOI’s she gives you and that’s giving you a clear sign that she’s inviting you to ask you out. She’s waiting for you to ask her out… testing you to see if you have the balls to do so.

It was a great book. I did learn some stuff from it and it was entertaining as hell read. I can see it being made into a movie for the big screen too ’cause there are some funny stories in it.

Being a player really isn’t my goal, although there is nothing wrong with it. I just want to start getting women in my life. I just read this stuff for information and research. I just want to become successful at dating and pick up without any failure. I tried to hook up dates with women in the past but failed many times. I just started reading and learning this stuff so I can start doing it right.

I remember in this blog, I used to believe that my failure with women was all about the looks and the money. I used to believe that women only date guys with good looks and have lots of money but then I finally woke up and now I believe that’s not really true. Looks and money don’t really matter to women either.

Many don’t believe I can hook up with beautiful women or smoking hot babes but I believe I can. I used to believe they wouldn’t find me attractive and good looking but I don’t think that way anymore. I believe women do like me. I know I have what it takes. I just have to prove the doubters wrong.

I have already started taking these things into action too. Just had small talk with a nice girl at Hannaford grocery store just the other day. When I was buying a few groceries at the cashier, there was a cute blond at the register and before she said anything to me first, I told her, “Hello, how are you.” She then gave me direct eye contact and said, “Hello, pretty good. How is your summer doing?”. It went something like that. Before I left, she put her hand up as a wave for bye just as she was getting ready for the next customer after me. Those are the things that you gotta do. So after that moment, I said to myself… “So there it is. It has begun”.

It was a great book. Recommended reading.

Just picked up Neil Strauss’s “The Game” book today…

https://twitter.com/KBrocking/status/485144567264870401

Today, when I went to the mall to go to the movies and to do a little shopping, I picked up this book, “The Game” by Neil Strauss from Barnes & Noble. My heavy research on women, dating and relationships continues.

I know I can prove the doubters wrong that I can get the babes. Just watch me.

I’ll give this book a read soon and will review it when I finish reading it. I was gonna get this book as an ebook for the Ipad but then I figured it would be better to get this book on regular hardcover. This book was a bit pricey but I’m sure it’s worth it.

I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time and finally gotten around to picking it up.

It is time to get into the Game!!!

Flea to write memoir…

As a longtime fan of the Chili Peppers, I’m looking forward to this one. Flea is writing a memoir. I’m sure the book will be about his life and music career with the Chili Peppers but in this article the book will mainly focus on his friendship with Anthony Kiedis. I’m sure Flea can tell an interesting story ’cause he is an interesting guy. I’ve read plenty of interviews with Flea through various music magazines over the years so I know he can tell a good story. I’m sure he’ll talk about how he first picked up the bass and what made him want to play and stuff so that’ll be interesting.

See more here:

I like to read rock music memoirs. Why? Because reading about a musicians life is interesting to me. I’ve read plenty of rock memoirs from Neil Young, Clapton, Dave Mustaine, Sammy Hagar, Dee Snider, Pete Townshend, etc.

Joe Satriani is coming out with his own memoir later this month and can’t wait to read that one as well.

The Allman Brothers…

Because of that book pictured above, “One Way Out” by Alan Paul, I have gotten turned on to the Allman Brothers music. I mean… REALLY TURNED ON. Because of that book, I fucking love the Allman Brothers now. Before I read that book, I was never much of an Allman Brothers fan. I mean… don’t get me wrong… I’ve heard a lot of their hits on the radio over the years but I’ve never bought their records.

This book above is recommended reading for any music lover or if you’re a fan of the Allman Brothers yourself. It gives a detailed look on the history of the Allmans. It gives you everything. From their formation to where they are now. Duane Allman was an important member to them ’cause he was the one who started the band but sadly his career with them didn’t last too long due to his death when they just released the “Fillmore East” live album… that was at the start of their fame too.

The book doesn’t just try to make the band look good like any typical band biography. This book even talks about the negative stuff and all the setbacks the Allman Brothers went through over the years. They went through heated feuds with the members most notably the heated feud between Greg Allman and Dicky Betts. Dicky is no longer with the Allman Bros. ’cause they hate each other.

It was an interesting history of a legendary band. Thanks to this book, I purchased 7 albums from the Allman Brothers: “Self titled debut”, “Eat A Peach”, “At The Fillmore East”, “Brothers and Sisters”, “IdleWind South” and “Where It All Begins”. I’ve become obsessed with their music as you can see. I’m gonna collect their entire discography, I think. I’m beginning to think that the Allman Brothers are my second favorite band right behind Led Zeppelin now. I can’t stop listening to the Allman Brothers. One thing though, this band have been unfairly been labeled as Southern Rock and I don’t they’re Southern Rock at all. The Allman Brothers to me is a blues/jazz band with a crossover of rock n’ roll. They throw in some country music sometimes too. They’re mostly a blues/jazz band, though.

I have total respect for Gregg Allman and Duane is now one of my favorite guitarists of all time. The other guitarists who played in the band are great too like Dicky Betts, Derek Trucks and others. Dicky Betts wrote most of the material of the Allmans over the years. Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks are pretty much the new leaders of the Allmans now. I don’t think Dicky will ever reunite with the band but ya never know. Never say never. Dicky was an important member of the band too ’cause he wrote most of the band’s important songs.

I fuckin’ love the Allmans. I’m dying to get my chance to see them live now so if they ever play a concert here again someday, I’ll make sure I’ll go. That book is recommended reading. After reading that book, makes me want to read Greg Allman’s memoir, “My Cross To Bear” which I will read soon. They have a pretty interesting history.

I know the Allman’s recently played a series of shows at the Beacon in NYC but Greg couldn’t play one of them ’cause he was suffering bronchitis. The Allman Brothers rock and can’t get enough of their music. I want more.

George R.R. Martin releases sample chapter for “Winds of Winter” (Game of Thrones book 6)

I’m a huge Game of Thrones fan. Love the books but HBO could do a better job with the show. Honestly, I still am a fan of the TV show, I just wish they would improve the writing. I don’t like how the TV show is leaving a lot of stuff out and changing the story around, altering characters. I think the books are way better.

I’m looking forward to the next Thrones book, though. Which would be book 6 of the Song of Ice and Fire series: “Winds of Winter”.

George R.R. Martin released a chapter from the book which I haven’t read yet but will get around to it. The cover of the next book have been released too:

http://shelf-life.ew.com/2014/03/26/winds-of-winter-sample-chapter/

I’m not sure when the book is coming out ’cause the article didn’t say of a release date but I’m sure the book will come out sometime later this year.

Seriously… if you like the TV show on HBO, I’d suggest you read the books ’cause like I said, the books are way better. It’s way more intense and unpredictable than the show.

Usually George takes a long time in between books but I think he’s in a hurry now ’cause of the show. He doesn’t want to keep HBO waiting for the next book.

I’m not into romantic movies that much but “The Fault In Our Stars” looks great!!!

Like the title says, I’m not into romantic movies too much. A few of my favorite romantic movies has always been: “Sleepless In Seattle”, “When Harry Met Sally”, and “Casablanca”. Don’t get me started on “Titanic” and “The Notebook” as I think those two flicks are overrated as hell.

Back to the “Fault In Our Stars”, I’m probably gonna see this one. I like the idea of a teenage guy falling in love with a girl with cancer. Plus, the story looks pretty moving and sad. I might have to read the book before I see the movie, though.

Book Review: “Undisputed Truth” by Mike Tyson

I finally finished reading “Undisputed Truth” by “Iron” Mike Tyson aka the Baddest Man on the Planet and world heavyweight boxing champion!

This is a tell-all book by Mike Tyson but it’s not your typical tell-all book like all the others. In most tell all books written by famous celebrities most of them are like, “Please don’t misunderstand me… now hear my story.”. In this book, it’s not like that at all. In this book Tyson doesn’t play the innocent victim. This book explains the life and career of one of the greatest fighters in the world. It explains his childhood all the way up to today.

In this book, Tyson explains all of the bad things he has done in his life. Everything from being a burglar, drug addict, sex addict, alcoholic, egomaniac, etc. You name it… Tyson explains all that stuff. He even talked about the rape controversy w/ Desiree Washington. In this book, he says he didn’t rape that woman and I believe him. Just a woman trying to get fame and money off of him.

When you read this book, I’m sure you’re going to expect this book to be more about boxing than anything else. Well, there are a lot of boxing stuff on here, of course. He goes into detail with a lot of his fights and he explained the story of how his first trainer/manager Cus D’Amato made him out to be. It was Cus who taught him how to be a tough guy and to be champion. This book was more about life than boxing, though.

In this book, Tyson wanted to be more open about all the mistakes he made in the past and talked about how he went from bad man to good man. He talked about the street fight with Mitch Green and ear biting incident with Evander Holyfield. Tyson explained the reason he bit Holyfield’s ear at the ppv (which I did see on TV back in the day, btw, I saw both Tyson/Holyfield fights on ppv, I’ll never forget ’em both) ’cause he was upset with Holyfield’s headbutting. Tyson/Holyfield didn’t get along back in the day but they’re friends now, I believe. They buried the hatchet publicly on the Oprah show. He talked about all of his past controversies even the tragic death of Exodus — his daughter — is in there too.

This book is more about learning life and learning how to be a better person. Tyson felt guilty and depressed about his past that he wanted to turn his life around for the better. No matter what you think of Iron Mike, love him or hate him, he’s an inspiring guy. He wanted to clean himself up from drugs and get sober. He also wanted to get rid of his sex addiction with women. He did all of that successfully with the help of his wife Kiki. Tyson explained that the reason for the change was that his appearance in “The Hangover” and the death of Exodus made him want to become a better person.

Everybody wants to look at Tyson as a jerk and some egomaniac rich guy but in my opinion, I think he was neither of those. Tyson was never all that rich. Tyson may have been rich during his time in boxing but he gave all his money away and blew it all on drugs, alcohol and women. For the most part, Tyson was broke for most of his life so he didn’t really care about money. He admitted it in his book too.

I can understand how people want to think Tyson as some egomaniac and jerk ’cause of his controversial past but come on, people. Give him a chance. What he did to change his life around… that is worthy alone to be forgiven. And like I said before, Tyson didn’t play innocent victim at all in his book. He knows how badly he treated people. He even felt bad about biting Holyfield’s ear and wished he never did it. He regretted everything he did in the past. So for all these things he’s been doing lately: movie appearances, broadway shows, the book, etc. These things are just his way of trying to make his life better.

This was a pretty powerful and addicting book. I couldn’t put it down. It maybe a long read but worth it. I used to never be a fan of Tyson back in the day like most but after seeing him trying to change his life around… made me respect him a lot more and now I am a fan of his. He’s quite an interesting guy.
