Report: “Twilight” maybe almost over, but the vampire thing isn’t…Warner Bros’ will revive, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”…

The huge success, of the “Twilight Saga” film franchise, will bring out a lot more vampire franchises, folks! Sad but true! Warner Bros. have plans to re-boot the “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”. The original was released in 1992 and it starred Kristy Swanson in the leading role. Joss Whedon will not direct.

Deadline, reports.

I wonder who they’ll get for Buffy in the new one? They’ll obviously get a young blonde actress.

I’d go for, Hayden Panettiere, the “Heroes” star. Dakota Fanning is not a bad choice either.

BREAKING NEWS: Daniel Day Lewis is Honest Abe!!!

Well here comes another Oscar for Daniel Day Lewis and Steven Spielberg! Spielberg just casted Daniel to play Abraham Lincoln. Daniel is a two time Oscar winner, will this be his third?

See more on the story, here.

Daniel Day Lewis is an amazing actor and can play just about anything that throws at him. I loved him in “Last of the Mohicans”, “Gangs of New York” and “There Will Be Blood”. Daniel as Abe will be amazing! I’m sure Daniel will pull off some amazing acting like he always does!

So I’ve just seen, Harry Potter, “The Deathly Hollows” today, but…

…I’m not going to give this film a detailed review until I’ve seen the rest of it. I need to see, “Deathly Hollows part II”, then I’ll give it a review. I had no problem following the story lines from Harry Potter 1-6, but the “Deathly Hollows” was a bit confusing and difficult to follow. The writing was that intelligent. Yes, the film was amazing and impressive, of course. The script is mysterious, has a lot of questions that needs answered. I think the answers to those questions will be answered in “Deathly Hollows” part II, and now that you think about it, I understand why they split the movie in two parts. It isn’t about money, it isn’t about people wanting more Harry Potter films. They wanted to get people thinking with the script, so they split it in two.

The movie was pretty intense. It was dark, violent and had bloody scenes actually. The ending to “Deathly Hollows part I” is so controversial and shocking, that it left the audience stunned and it got them talking when the credits started rolling. So yeah, things are going to get interesting in “Part II”.

I don’t want to give away too much ’cause there are surprises and twists in the film. The “Deathly Hollows” leaves right off from the “Half Blood Prince” still following the story of Lord Voldermort. Again, it was a good movie, it’s just a hard film to review since the movie is not even finished yet.

Sometime in the future, I think I’m going to talk about “Deathly Hollows” plot in a videoblog. I won’t make the videoblog this soon, I will wait a while, of course, I will make the videoblog with a spoiler warning. I think I’m going to see it again, maybe next week or something. Maybe get a better understanding of the storyline and do some research on it.

I am officially a Harry Potter nerd!!!

Well I finished watching, Harry Potter’s 6th film, “The Half Blood Prince” today. I watched all 6 Harry Potter films just in time before tomorrow’s “Deathly Hollow’s” release date. I’m glad I watched the six films in order ’cause they tell the story in order. I’m very impressed with the movies. The stories are great. I love the action and the special effects. It’s really strange to me why these movies are popular with kids because the movies are too dark and violent for them to see, in my opinion. The films even got pretty bloody at times too. I watched these films in HD with surround sound and I’m just blown away by the special effects and sounds of these movies.

As far as the story goes, it’s not just some kid wanting to become a wizard. We have a boy who’s parents been murdered by Lord Voldermort who is the main villain that is played by Ralph Fiennes. So Harry Potter is looking to be trained to be a wizard to seek revenge for the murder of his parents. As you watch these films, you would see that these films aren’t really about Harry Potter. They mostly focus on the main villain, Lord Voldermort. The series showed how Voldermort became evil and all that. I don’t want to talk about the plots to avoid spoilers for you all, just talk about a little bit. They kept Voldermort mysterious throughout most of the series and we’ll see more of him in “Deathly Hollows” film.

I’m going to start reading the Harry Potter books soon after I finish reading the Keith Richards book I’m reading right now. The Harry Potter series are really great. I guess you can say the series is definitely better than Stephenie Myers, “Twilight”. Really looking forward to seeing, “Deathly Hollows” tomorrow as I’m going on opening day, hopefully I can get in without being sold out. There will be a long line of Harry Potter fanatics at the theaters, indeed!

Thought: The reason Superman can’t have a big name actor and Batman can…

Some may wonder why Hollywood vows to keep having an unknown actor play Superman and why big name stars are able to play Batman. Well, here it is.

So why can’t Superman have a big name star? It’s because the answer is really quite simple. Superman is the king of all superheroes. Superman is obviously the most legendary and most popular of them all. Think about why it would be a bad idea if they got Tom Cruise or Jake Gyllenhaal or Leo Dicaprio to play Superman. If they got a big name star, it would be too easy for them to make it a box office success. Superman needs to be an unknown for that reason. Another reason Superman needs to have an unknown actor is because of the Superman character itself. The Superman character is supposed to be mysterious. If they got someone too recognizable to play Superman, it takes the whole mystery out of the character. This is why they can’t get Jon Hamm or Brandon Routh ’cause they are too recognizable now. Superman’s identity is supposed to be hard to identify, so in order to do that, the actor needs to be an unknown. Get the drill now?

As for Batman, here is the reason why a big name star is allowed to play that character. For example, all the actors from the past, Adam West, Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Val Kilmer and Christian Bale were all big name stars. Not only that a big name actor helps brings in people to theaters, anybody can play Batman ’cause he is costumed and masked. Just like anybody can play Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers ’cause they are costumed and masked too.

Superman is costumed but he is not masked. It’s all about the identity of the superhero. That’s what it’s all about, Hollywood isn’t stupid. They take all this seriously and do things for a good reason other than the box office. Just my 2cents.

Report: I’ve been saying this all along, “Superman” actor will be an unknown and not a big name!!

Well Chris Nolan, keeps himself busy with both “Dark Knight: Rises” and Snyder’s “Superman”! You know, all you Superman fans out there naming all of these big name stars is just a waste of time. I’ve been saying the whole time that Superman will possibly be an unknown actor. That’s what WB’s and Chris Nolan are going for. They are not going for Jon Hamm, Brandon Routh, Tom Welling, Armie Hammer and all those other popular names that will be listed.

All the Superman actors from the past: George Reeves, Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain, Tom Welling, Brandon Routh, etc. They were all unknowns. I’m glad Chris is staying true to this. WB’s and Chris Nolan plan on going for an actor with no acting experience at all or lesser known TV actors. It’s a smart move, in my opinion.

See the story here at, Deadline.

It’s okay to pick big name stars for Lois, Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, etc., but Superman/Clark Kent can’t be a big name. For a good reason too! The Superman film makers are still keeping their mouth shut on the plot and I’m sure we’ll hear something about the plot soon. Hopefully the plot will be different. We already had plenty of this Krypton, Smallville and Metropolis plots, we already know those stories so hope this will be an original story this time around.

Cool Video: “Cowboys & Aliens” trailer finally hits the internets, and looks pretty friggin good too!!!

The new Jon Favreau directed movie, “Cowboys & Aliens” has finally hit the web! It stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Wilde. The film looks surprisingly really good too. I’m impressed with the trailer so I’m sold! Harrison looks great, glad to see him doing action/adventure again too. He belongs in that genre. Olivia Wilde is a hot looking babe. I’m definitely seeing this when it comes out, hell yeah!

See the trailer, here.

Report: *sigh* Robert Zemeckis eyes “Wizard of Oz” remake!

Oh man! Not the original “Wizard of Oz”! It doesn’t need a remake! Warner Bros. is in talks with Robert Zemeckis to direct a live action remake, of the “Wizard of Oz”. They plan to use the original 1939 script that Warner Bros. owns. They own the script because it came with the MGM library that WB’s bought off of Ted Turner. The script was written by Noel Langley, Florence Ryerson, and Edgar Allan Woolf.

Disney is developing a prequel titled, “Oz: The Great and Powerful” to be directed by Sam Raimi.

See the article at Deadline, here.

Who would want to see a “Wizard of Oz”, remake? They’re probably gonna get Amy Adams as Dorothy since Amy can sing. Will Tom Hanks be the Scarecrow, Tin Man or the Cowardly Lioin?

Brock is enjoying Harry Potter more and more…

Yes, I’ll admit it. J.K. Rowling is a genius storyteller. The reason the blog has been slow this weekend is because I’ve been trying to catch up watching the Harry Potter films before Friday’s “Deathly Hollows” release. So far, I have watched the first three Harry Potter films: “The Sorcerer’s Stone”, “Chamber of Secrets” and “Prisoner of Azkaban”. So far, I’m loving them all. The movies are fun and the storytelling is great. Plus, the action and special effects are way cool.

I’m only going to watch one Harry Potter film tonight, which will be, “Goblet of Fire”. I’m only watching one Harry Potter film ’cause later tonight, I need to catch up watching “The Walking Dead” series ’cause AMC will be re-airing the first two episodes tonight. I already saw the first episode of “The Walking Dead” online, but the internet don’t have the second episode, so I’ll watch it on TV tonight before the new third episode.

I’ve worked my day job for a full 7 day straight in one week, so my boss gave me the weekend off to rest up before another busy week next week. So I’m just relaxing this weekend by watching movies/some TV at night, playing guitar, and doing some reading. Been working out at the gym most of the week too. Today is my day off of workouts, need to have a few of those every week.

Back to Harry Potter, it’s interesting how much I go from hating a franchise to loving it. I guess Harry Potter grew on me.

Catching up with Harry Potter before “Deathly Hallows” release…

So I became officially interested in seeing the upcoming new Harry Potter film, “The Deathly Hallows” which is about to hit theaters next Friday. Yes, I will definitely go see it. However, I’m trying to catch up with the first six Harry Potter films on DVD. I just watched the first one, “The Sorcerer’s Stone” earlier tonight and it was quite good, I actually liked it. I will watch “Chamber of Secrets” the second one tomorrow night.

I know, I know. I used to bash J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter in my blog, in the past, but now I feel kind of bad for that, ’cause Harry Potter, is actually kind of cool. I’m late getting into the series. After I see all the movies, I’ll read all the books.

It’s just that when I saw the Harry Potter theme park at Universal and seen the “Deathly Hallows” trailer, that’s what made me become interested with Harry Potter. Don’t know what it is. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the movies. I’m going to try and watch all of them before, “Deathly Hallows” release, next Friday.
