“Indiana Jones 5” may be the final movie that Harrison Ford and John Williams will both do… understandably so, though…

John Williams just said that he’s done scoring music for films. Once he’s finished the music for “Indiana Jones 5”, that’s it. He’s done. He said that Harrison Ford is also retiring and calling it quits after Indy 5. Nothing is really official as of this point but both of these guys are already talking about calling it quits.

https://www.gamesradar.com/john-williams-retirement-indiana-jones-5-harrison-ford/

It’s understandable so ’cause both men are getting old and getting tired. John’s been scoring for films since the 50’s. He’s scored films for so many iconic movies and did a lot of films with Steven Spielberg especially. John is definitely the master and the king of film scoring. What I love about John’s composing style is that he’s able to make scores that sticks to your head. His scores are so catchy and memorable likes “Jaws”, “Superman”, “ET”, “Star Wars”… his scores are so memorable that you can even sing along to them.

As far as Harrison retirement goes… not only that he’s aging… I think I remember Harrison suffering two injuries on two different films. He broke his leg filming “Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens” and then he injured his shoulder on “Indy 5”. After having those major injuries, that must be when he said, “I can’t do this anymore, after Indy 5, I’m done”. I don’t think Harrison can do his own stunts anymore in action sequences.

Harrison had a great career run, though as I’ve always been a massive fan of his.

I think Indy 5 would be a perfect last movie for them to go out with. Go out on a high note, ya know?

Harrison was able to bring back all of his iconic characters to the big screen for one last time. He brought back Han Solo, Rick Deckard “Blade Runner: 2049” and now Indy for one final film. Harrison is a talented actor. Always has been. I’ve watched his films throughout the years of my life and he’s done every genre pretty much.

Well deserved retirement for both men. I’m all for it. Can’t wait for “Indy 5” and I’m sure we’ll get our first teaser trailer this summer and a title reveal too.

At long last, Indiana Jones 5 is finally done filming…

The 5th installment to Indiana Jones has been in development since Indy 4 in 2008 so that is a little over a decade the film’s been in the works. Film had some problems and setbacks, though. George Lucas was in charge of Indy 5 but then he sold Star Wars and Lucasfilm to Disney which means Kathleen Kennedy is now in charge of Indy. Film had some setbacks with some re-writes of the script and all that stuff. Now that they actually went into filming the movie, Harrison Ford suffered a shoulder injury, I bet probably during an action scene. So that suffered some problems as well and of course, Covid pandemic happened so that delayed filming.

Well filming has finally wrapped and it’s all done shooting… but they still have loads more work to do. They have to do editing process, add in special effects, CGI (there probably will be some of that), sound and all that stuff. They also gotta record the soundtrack and musical score for the film which will still be composed by none other than the great John Williams.

https://collider.com/indiana-jones-5-filming-wrap-harrison-ford/

Plot and subtitle is being kept under wraps for now but I’m sure we’ll learn more soon. It’s probably gonna be called “Indiana Jones and the…” or something.

Once again just like with Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Indiana Jones 5 looks like it’s gonna be a passing of the torch kind of movie. That’s the idea that Lucas had in the beginning so Disney is going for it.

I’m a huge Indiana Jones fan, love them all… and yes even “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” Indy IV was great. I can’t wait for Indy V, though. While I’m hoping this movie will focus on story, I’m sure this movie will be action packed popcorn flick. I’m sure James Mangold won’t disappoint ’cause he is a great director and made some great movies.

Think about it right? Mangold directed the Wolverine movie “Logan” and that film totally reminded me of Indiana Jones which was probably why he got the job to begin with. Mangold did some pretty huge movies over the years like “Cop Land” w/ Stallone, “Girl Interrupted”, “Walk The Line”, “3:10 To Yuma” and “Knight and Day”.

I think he’ll make a great Indy film, Mangold’s directing style will be way different than Spielberg, I’m sure but I’m sure he tried his best to make it seem like Spielberg did it. I’m kind of glad Spielberg stepped out, actually. Give the film a new vision.

Harrison maybe 79 now but I’m sure he can still play Indy well and knock it out of the park.

At long last, IndIana Jones 5 is finally filming In Bamburgh, UK…

After many rewrites of “Indiana Jones 5”, the movie is finally filming as we speak. Here is a legit set photo of the crew behind the scenes. I believe this is the only set photo I can find of Indy 5 ’cause why? People taking pics is probably not allowed.

The cast and crew is filming the fifth installment of Indiana Jones in the Bamburgh, UK. They’re filming it at Bamburgh Castle. I’m sure the whole movie won’t be filmed at Bamburgh castle, just some of it. From the looks of things Bamburgh Castle is on a really small island in the UK which is great for an archeology spot.

As you can see here you see a mask Harrison Ford in full Indy garb speaking with Kathleen Kennedy. That unmasked man is Rob Marshall. Not sure but I think the film’s director, James Mangold is standing behind Harrison?

The plot and the title of the next movie is being kept under wraps for now but I’m sure we’ll learn more as we go along.

I’m hoping the next Indy movie will focus more on archeology and the history part of things like they were supposed to be. Yeah, I’m sure Indiana Jones 5 will still be a typical popcorn action flick too like the first four were but I’m hoping the next one will focus on story than action. Even though the plot is being kept under wraps, it’s probably gonna end up being a “passing of the torch” story like they’ve been hinting at for years. Ya know, passing the whip to someone much younger. Is that why Phoebe Waller-Bridge was hired as the female lead? She’s gonna be wearing Indy’s hat and whip at the end? A female archeologist is the goal? That’s what it’s kinda looking like to me.

And looks like John Rhys-Davies is about to reprise his legendary role as Sallah in “Indy 5” too ’cause he wasn’t in the last movie, “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” so it’s gonna be cool to see him again.

I’m sure Harrison is getting all kinds of criticism about his age for this movie but I’m sure he’s still capable of doing his own action scenes and there probably will be lots of action in this one for sure. He is 78 now but I’m sure he’s capable of swinging his own whip again and running around.

I’m a huge Indy fan. Love ’em all, yeah I thought “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was great ’cause it was different and risky. I think James Mangold is capable of making a great Indiana Jones movie. Ever see the Wolverine movie, “Logan”? That film kind of reminded me of Indiana Jones a bit which is probably why he got the job.

Indy 5 will have lots of action, some comedy and some archeology stuff. It will be the same old Indy. I think they won’t disappoint us this time ’cause they know about all the bad reviews that Indy 4 got. They’ll definitely try to smarten up and make the next one better. Trust!

And I don’t think we’ve seen the last of the Ark either and it’s pretty likely we’ll see the return of that. The hunt for the Ark again?

Spielberg no longer directing Indy 5 but what’s the real reason???

In my opinion, this is bad and I think Steve is making a huge mistake. I remember that Spielberg, Lucas and Ford has been talking about doing Indy 5 ever since the 4th one, “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”… but since Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney this means Disney owns Lucasfilm now. Therefor, it also means that Disney owns the Indy franchise.

There could be many reasons why Spielberg is no longer interested… maybe the script having problems still and he isn’t 100% with it yet… either that or he doesn’t feel comfortable without George being around ’cause George was in charge of the story for the first 4 films. It could be any reason. Maybe he feels he doesn’t have what it takes to direct an Indy film anymore.

Steven Spielberg Won’t Direct ‘Indiana Jones 5,’ James Mangold in Talks to Replace (EXCLUSIVE)

Anyhow, I think Indy 5 is gonna flop in the box office pretty badly now that Spielberg is out. In my opinion, no other director but Spielberg directs the Indy movies. Replacing a director for the Indy films is a joke really. Indy is Spielberg’s baby.

A different director takes over, there’s gonna be a different style and no other director will be able to match Spielberg’s style of directing ’cause every director is different.

And also, they better make this movie soon ’cause the longer they wait, the older Harrison gets ’cause that man is getting older. I know these guys want to take their time with the script but Harrison’s age… he’s 77 now.

I’m a huge Indiana Jones fan… love them all even the 4th one “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” but “Raiders of the Lost Ark” will always be the best one of the series. “Raiders” is a classic and an essential.

I hope Indy 5 will be good and it’ll probably end up being a passing of the torch kind of story. I hope they don’t do the “sci-fi” thing next time, though.

Happy birthday, Harrison Ford…

Happy birthday to another one of my favorite actors, Harrison Ford.

A lot of people like Harrison for Han Solo but to me I was more into Indiana Jones. I love the Indiana Jones movies. I grew up watching them. I love all 4 Indy movies and yes, that includes the 4th one, “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”. I thought that movie was fantastic as well. I can’t wait for Indy 5.

While Harrison is most famous for Han Solo and Indy, he played many other great roles too like “Patriot Games”, “Clear & Present Danger”, “Witness, “The Fugitive”, “Blade Runner”, “The Mosquito Coast” and the list goes on and on. Harrison is so talented in his acting the man can play just about anything. He still is a very good actor even at 76 years old.

Ford maybe a very liberal guy politically but I just respect him as an actor. He’s been in so many good movies. The man certainly knows how to choose his movies well.

As far as Indy 5 goes, I know that film has been pushed back ’til 2021 so if you do the math, Harrison will be about 79 years old. Why did Indy 5 get pushed back? Is it because they’re aiming Indy to be like 80 years old? Probably.

Anyway, Harrison is an amazing guy. I’ve always been a huge fan and I’ve grown up watching his movies since I was a child.

“Blade Runner: 2049” trailer is finally here and it looks freakin’ awesome! Can’t wait!!!

Well the new “Blade Runner: 2049” trailer is here and it looks freakin’ awesome. I’m a huge Blade Runner fan. Love the first film and can’t wait to see this one. This film here looks like it might be the best film of the year. This is one of those movies that I’m most excited for.

Yes, there are several other movies I’m looking forward to see like “Star Wars Episode 8”, “Justice League”, “Wonder Woman”, “Stephen King’s IT” and “The Dark Tower”. All of these movies look real good but I look most forward to “Blade Runner: 2049”.

Glad Harrison is back for this one and can’t wait to see it!

Indiana Jones 5 is finally confirmed with Steven Spielberg returning to direct and Harrison Ford will play Indy once again!

While announcing the release date for “Star Wars Episode IX” which is the final film of the new Star Wars trilogy, Disney & Lucasfilm finally confirmed “Indiana Jones 5”. Best of all Steven Spielberg is returning to the director’s chair for Indy 5 and Harrison is once again playing Indy. Indy 5 is set for a July 10th, 2020 release date.

http://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-episode-ix-and-next-indiana-jones-get-release-dates

What I like the most about Indy 5 is that George Lucas is no longer in charge so that means more creative freedom for Spielberg and Ford. It’s gonna be interesting to see how Spielberg is gonna pull off an Indy film without Lucas involved for sure. I’m a huge Indiana Jones fan, loved all 4 Indy movies…. yes, I even thought, “Crystal Skull” was real good despite the negative critics of that film. I will always think “Raiders of the Lost Ark” will be the best Indy film ever made, though.

At almost 75 do you think Harrison still has what it takes to play Indy? Yes, absolutely. I think Harrison can still do action scenes and his own stunts quite well. He seems to play Han Solo quite well in, “The Force Awakens” movie. Since Han Solo is gone Harrison won’t be playing in SW: Episode 8 and 9 so it’s looking his next movie is gonna be Indy 5.

Will Indy 5 be a continuation of “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”? Probably will but I hope they don’t bring Shia Labeouf back, though.

They need to make the next Indy movie more like “Raiders”. Make it a serious film like “Raiders” was. The next Indy movie will probably be an action movie like they all are but I hope they leave the science fiction stuff out of it this time.

I’m glad Indy 5 is finally happening ’cause Spielberg and Ford has been talking about it for years. They better get to work on it soon ’cause Harrison is getting older. I think they will get to work on it right away. Glad a new Indy film is happening, celebrate by listening to the theme song below!

Indiana Jones 5 will be continuation of “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” so Shia Labeouf and Karen Allen may have to return…

Not surprisingly Spielberg is planning a continuation of the “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” Indy 4 ’cause if you looked at the way that movie ended, it looked like it opened for another film. They won’t be doing a prequel to “Raiders” which kind of sucks. Since they are doing a continuation of “Crystal Skull” that means Shia Labeouf and Karen Allen maybe returning for the next installment. Yes, that means Mutt Williams and Marion Ravenwood would probably return.

So from the looks of things, it looks like that Indy will be passing the torch to his son, Mutt Williams ’cause if you looked at the way “Crystal Skull” ended, Mutt Williams was getting ready to pick up the Indy hat that blew off the coat rack but Indy was quick to take the hat from him. Remember that? So if Indy 5 were to be the final movie that Harrison will appear in, Mutt Williams maybe taking over as the new hero.

http://www.ew.com/article/2016/04/12/harrison-indiana-jones-5-frank-marshall

My question is will the next movie continue the story about aliens and UFO’s? I hope not. They should stay away from the sci-fi in the next one ’cause I’ll admit that Indiana Jones and sci-fi don’t mix.

They should focus on history and archeology stuff like Indy is known for. If they’re gonna bring Shia back hopefully would be just for a small role ’cause I didn’t like the Mutt Williams character at all.

The next Indy movie will probably be full of action scenes and CGI, of course but I want them to focus on story, though. What made the original trilogy great (Raiders, Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade) was that those three films focused on story than the action scenes. “Crystal Skull” had more action scenes than story. They need to make the next film more like “Raiders” if they want people to take it seriously.

I’m a huge Indiana Jones fan and I just hope they don’t mess the next movie up. Now that George Lucas is no longer in charge, lets see if they can pull it off without him.

Kev

Indiana Jones 5 officially happen, Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg to return but no George Lucas!

Disney finally made it official today that “Indiana Jones 5” is absolutely happening! Best of all, Harrison Ford is reprising his role as Indy and Steven Spielberg will be returning to the director’s chair for Indiana Jones. The film is slated for a release date of July 19th, 2019.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/movies/2016/03/15/spielberg-ford-reunite-fifth-indiana-jones-due-2019/81814596/

This is great news ’cause I’m a really big Indiana Jones fan. It’s good timing to start making Indy 5 now ’cause Harrison Ford is not get any younger. The man is 73 right now and I think he definitely has one more Indy film left in him. Star Wars Episode 7 “The Force Awakens” will probably be the final time that Harrison will play Han Solo. This will probably be the final time that Harrison will play Indy.

Will Indy 5 end up being an action movie? Probably. Harrison seems to do action movies quite well so why not?

Now that George Lucas is no longer involved, that means more creative freedom for Ford and Spielberg so it’ll be interesting to see what they’ll come up with now that George is no longer in charge of the creative writing process.

One thing for sure, though, I hope they don’t bring Shia Labeouf back ’cause I thought Indy and Marion having a kid together was a pretty dumb idea. They probably will end up bringing Shia back but hopefully just for a small role.

If they want fans to take the next movie seriously then I’d suggest make the next movie more like “Raiders”. Something similar, ya know? We don’t need another “Crystal Skull”. I do like “Crystal Skull” but I’ll have to agree that the film had some problems. Hope they don’t let us down next time.

Star Wars producers prosecuted over Harrison Ford injury… what? This is not what Harrison himself would want!

Isn’t it supposed to be all up to Harrison himself on whether or not he wants to prosecute for his injury on the Star Wars set? The Health and Safety Executive brought criminal charges against Foodles Production which is a company owned by Disney. I’m pretty sure the HSE has no authority to do this so what they’re doing is definitely illegal, in my opinion.

It’s really all up to Harrison whether or not he wants to press charges but I’m sure he’s never gonna do that ’cause Harrison knows it was just an accident. That was all. I’m sure him and JJ were cool with it.

Harrison wouldn’t want this so I’m sure he’ll find a way to get the HSE to back off. What would the charges be. More fines? I think the HSE is looking for a big payday. That’s all they’re doing, I think.
