Does this mean that the Die Hard franchise is dead???

So far, Bruce Willis made 5 “Die Hard” films in the franchise. A 6th Die Hard, it’s been trying to get into development for a long while and doing some reading on it, it’s still struggling to get made so it was dead anyways? I’m not sure what’s going on with “Die Hard 6” but the original idea was that Bruce wanted it to be the final one to close out that franchise. It’s looking like a cancelled project due to all the setbacks and due to the poor reviews Die Hard 5 got.

I saw all the Die Hard movies. Although, I would say that the first two were the best ones… yeah, I thought “Die Hard 2: Die Harder” was freakin’ awesome but the first one will always be a masterpiece. The first one was incredible, greatest action flick of all time… I did like “Die Hard 3: with a Vengeance” (the one he did with Sam Jackson).

I also remember seeing 4 and 5 in theater when they first came out and hated both of those. Probably ’cause of bad writing, too much CGI… I thought it was the CGI that ruined it.

Given with the latest news of Bruce about that disease, it’s looking like the Die Hard franchise is dead for good ’cause they can’t go on without John McClane.

I would have liked the last Die Hard movie to be an all-out violent action movie like the first two were and I want McClane swearing his head off.

I think they should kill this franchise but they probably won’t. If they reboot then that would be silly. Only Bruce as McClane is “Die Hard”, that role belongs to him and him only.

From what I read Disney owns the Die Hard franchise now since they own 20th Century Fox. I’m okay with a “spinoff” or a “prequel”, though, just don’t reboot it.

We’ll see what goes on.

At long last, Indiana Jones 5 is finally done filming…

The 5th installment to Indiana Jones has been in development since Indy 4 in 2008 so that is a little over a decade the film’s been in the works. Film had some problems and setbacks, though. George Lucas was in charge of Indy 5 but then he sold Star Wars and Lucasfilm to Disney which means Kathleen Kennedy is now in charge of Indy. Film had some setbacks with some re-writes of the script and all that stuff. Now that they actually went into filming the movie, Harrison Ford suffered a shoulder injury, I bet probably during an action scene. So that suffered some problems as well and of course, Covid pandemic happened so that delayed filming.

Well filming has finally wrapped and it’s all done shooting… but they still have loads more work to do. They have to do editing process, add in special effects, CGI (there probably will be some of that), sound and all that stuff. They also gotta record the soundtrack and musical score for the film which will still be composed by none other than the great John Williams.

https://collider.com/indiana-jones-5-filming-wrap-harrison-ford/

Plot and subtitle is being kept under wraps for now but I’m sure we’ll learn more soon. It’s probably gonna be called “Indiana Jones and the…” or something.

Once again just like with Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Indiana Jones 5 looks like it’s gonna be a passing of the torch kind of movie. That’s the idea that Lucas had in the beginning so Disney is going for it.

I’m a huge Indiana Jones fan, love them all… and yes even “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” Indy IV was great. I can’t wait for Indy V, though. While I’m hoping this movie will focus on story, I’m sure this movie will be action packed popcorn flick. I’m sure James Mangold won’t disappoint ’cause he is a great director and made some great movies.

Think about it right? Mangold directed the Wolverine movie “Logan” and that film totally reminded me of Indiana Jones which was probably why he got the job to begin with. Mangold did some pretty huge movies over the years like “Cop Land” w/ Stallone, “Girl Interrupted”, “Walk The Line”, “3:10 To Yuma” and “Knight and Day”.

I think he’ll make a great Indy film, Mangold’s directing style will be way different than Spielberg, I’m sure but I’m sure he tried his best to make it seem like Spielberg did it. I’m kind of glad Spielberg stepped out, actually. Give the film a new vision.

Harrison maybe 79 now but I’m sure he can still play Indy well and knock it out of the park.

“Spiderman: No Way Home” was definitely the best Spiderman movie ever made, I really was impressed with that one…

So last Thursday afternoon, I went to see the new Spiderman movie, “No Way” home which is the third film of the Tom Holland trilogy. Before I went to see the newest Spiderman flick, I decided to go back and watch the 3 Tobey Maguire Spiderman movies directed by Sam Raimi and I’ve re-watched the two “Amazing Spiderman” movies with Andrew Garfield. I’m glad I watched all the Spiderman movies before this one ’cause this one had so many surprises, it’s crazy.

And yes, like the title says in this post, “Spiderman: No Way” was surprisingly the best Spiderman movie ever made. All the ones before this one were just “pretty good” but wow, this one “No Way Home” was a real surprise and a major improvement for sure.

The writing was really good… it had a smart script for a change. I gotta be careful to review this movie without big spoilers ’cause there’s still too many that didn’t see this movie yet. The acting of the cast did a very good job as well including Tom Holland. I wasn’t that crazy with Tom as Peter Parker/Spiderman in “Homecoming” and “Far From Home” but Tom’s acting in “No Way Home” was 10 x’s way better. Tom was very good in “No Way Home”, I was impressed with him.

Of course, Willem Dafoe coming back as the Green Goblin, man that was quite a performance too. Willem Dafoe kills it in almost every role he plays over the years in his career but this movie was his best performance for sure. He probably won’t get Oscar nominated for this one but he should, I think it’s worthy. I was blown away with Willem’s performance in this one.

I also thought Benedict Cumberbatch did a great job playing Doctor Strange again, that dude is a great actor as well and I love the Doctor Strange character. After seeing this movie, really makes me want to see the “Doctor Strange” sequel which comes out later this year and I will make sure to see that one.

The action scenes were a blast to watch. It was a fun action movie too and I was impressed with the cinematography and the CGI was surprisingly pretty cool.

Finally a superhero movie that tells a good story and a “smart” story. It was a phenomenal movie and it blew me away. If you thought Marvel couldn’t top “Avengers: Endgame”, I think they just did with “Spiderman: No Way Home”. If you want to go see this movie, I’d suggest you watch all Spiderman movies before this one though or else you’re gonna get confused… yes, that means all the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield flicks.

To the director of “Spiderman: No Way Home” whose name is Jon Watts, bravo to a job well done. I’d give a perfect 10/10. No complaints at all.

At long last, IndIana Jones 5 is finally filming In Bamburgh, UK…

After many rewrites of “Indiana Jones 5”, the movie is finally filming as we speak. Here is a legit set photo of the crew behind the scenes. I believe this is the only set photo I can find of Indy 5 ’cause why? People taking pics is probably not allowed.

The cast and crew is filming the fifth installment of Indiana Jones in the Bamburgh, UK. They’re filming it at Bamburgh Castle. I’m sure the whole movie won’t be filmed at Bamburgh castle, just some of it. From the looks of things Bamburgh Castle is on a really small island in the UK which is great for an archeology spot.

As you can see here you see a mask Harrison Ford in full Indy garb speaking with Kathleen Kennedy. That unmasked man is Rob Marshall. Not sure but I think the film’s director, James Mangold is standing behind Harrison?

The plot and the title of the next movie is being kept under wraps for now but I’m sure we’ll learn more as we go along.

I’m hoping the next Indy movie will focus more on archeology and the history part of things like they were supposed to be. Yeah, I’m sure Indiana Jones 5 will still be a typical popcorn action flick too like the first four were but I’m hoping the next one will focus on story than action. Even though the plot is being kept under wraps, it’s probably gonna end up being a “passing of the torch” story like they’ve been hinting at for years. Ya know, passing the whip to someone much younger. Is that why Phoebe Waller-Bridge was hired as the female lead? She’s gonna be wearing Indy’s hat and whip at the end? A female archeologist is the goal? That’s what it’s kinda looking like to me.

And looks like John Rhys-Davies is about to reprise his legendary role as Sallah in “Indy 5” too ’cause he wasn’t in the last movie, “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” so it’s gonna be cool to see him again.

I’m sure Harrison is getting all kinds of criticism about his age for this movie but I’m sure he’s still capable of doing his own action scenes and there probably will be lots of action in this one for sure. He is 78 now but I’m sure he’s capable of swinging his own whip again and running around.

I’m a huge Indy fan. Love ’em all, yeah I thought “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was great ’cause it was different and risky. I think James Mangold is capable of making a great Indiana Jones movie. Ever see the Wolverine movie, “Logan”? That film kind of reminded me of Indiana Jones a bit which is probably why he got the job.

Indy 5 will have lots of action, some comedy and some archeology stuff. It will be the same old Indy. I think they won’t disappoint us this time ’cause they know about all the bad reviews that Indy 4 got. They’ll definitely try to smarten up and make the next one better. Trust!

And I don’t think we’ve seen the last of the Ark either and it’s pretty likely we’ll see the return of that. The hunt for the Ark again?

I stand with Gina Carano, Lefties bunch of whiny hypocritical losers…

Like the title says I stand with Gina Carano. She did and said nothing wrong. Just a bunch of crybaby and hypocritical lefties who hate conservative women.

So what if Gina is anti-mask and so what if she believes the elections is rigged. She’s entitled to her views and welcome to have ’em… I thought this was America, hmmm???? And by the way, y’all… Gina is not alone about disliking facemasks and thinking the elections were rigged ’cause most Americans are 100% with her on her views. In fact, that’s how most Americans feel. She just thinks like the rest of us and leftist America is outraged at her? Wow.

And what I love even more is that they are outraged of her thoughts about American politics being like Nazi Germany… weren’t lefties calling Trump supporters Nazis since 2016??? Didn’t the mainstream media compare the Trump presidency to the Holocaust? Lefties were calling Trump Hitler for years. Joe Biden compared Trump to Joseph Goebbels but never got any outrage.

Anyhow, she was actually onto something. Getting so much hate for being Republican/Conservative nowadays… getting criticized on so much for your political beliefs. Getting beat up for being a Trump supporter, getting kicked out of your families and losing friends ’cause you’re a Republican/Conservative. Yeah, she’s kind of right in a way.

https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/gina-carano-backlash-social-media-posts-not-currently-employed-star-wars

Freedom of expression is dead. Gina is a proud and out conservative and knowing that Hollywood is very liberal, it’s gonna be hard for her to get work now. She’s about to be blacklisted. That’s what happened to James Woods when he came out as conservative. Being conservative in Hollywood is dangerous.

I love Gina. Loved Gina since her UFC days and her film “Haywire”, an action film that she starred in directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Remember, though, whatever lefties are accusing someone of something, they are guilty of the same thing. They wanna accuse Gina of comparing American politics to Nazis when these are the same people who compared the Trump presidency to the Holocaust.

The left are the same people calling for unity, hey????

Spielberg no longer directing Indy 5 but what’s the real reason???

In my opinion, this is bad and I think Steve is making a huge mistake. I remember that Spielberg, Lucas and Ford has been talking about doing Indy 5 ever since the 4th one, “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”… but since Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney this means Disney owns Lucasfilm now. Therefor, it also means that Disney owns the Indy franchise.

There could be many reasons why Spielberg is no longer interested… maybe the script having problems still and he isn’t 100% with it yet… either that or he doesn’t feel comfortable without George being around ’cause George was in charge of the story for the first 4 films. It could be any reason. Maybe he feels he doesn’t have what it takes to direct an Indy film anymore.

Steven Spielberg Won’t Direct ‘Indiana Jones 5,’ James Mangold in Talks to Replace (EXCLUSIVE)

Anyhow, I think Indy 5 is gonna flop in the box office pretty badly now that Spielberg is out. In my opinion, no other director but Spielberg directs the Indy movies. Replacing a director for the Indy films is a joke really. Indy is Spielberg’s baby.

A different director takes over, there’s gonna be a different style and no other director will be able to match Spielberg’s style of directing ’cause every director is different.

And also, they better make this movie soon ’cause the longer they wait, the older Harrison gets ’cause that man is getting older. I know these guys want to take their time with the script but Harrison’s age… he’s 77 now.

I’m a huge Indiana Jones fan… love them all even the 4th one “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” but “Raiders of the Lost Ark” will always be the best one of the series. “Raiders” is a classic and an essential.

I hope Indy 5 will be good and it’ll probably end up being a passing of the torch kind of story. I hope they don’t do the “sci-fi” thing next time, though.

Thoughts on the new “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” D23 footage…

This isn’t an official 2nd teaser trailer. It’s just a special look that was shown at the D23 event. I would have to say that this footage was beautifully put together. Only JJ Abrams can put together a tiny video that compiles all 9 Star Wars films. This video footage even included the three prequels which was awesome.

In the past, I used to never be that much of a Star Wars fan but Disney is making me appreciate Star Wars more and more. I guess I’m turning into a pretty big Star Wars nerd myself ’cause I’ve just started re-watching the first 8 Star Wars movies this week. I’ve watched “The Phantom Menace” and “Attack Of the Clones” over the weekend and they weren’t bad movies at all. They were pretty good, I must say. I haven’t seen those movies in a long time and they really grew on me after re-watching them. I’m planning on watching Episode III “Revenge of the Sith” this week and am going to re-watch the original trilogy this weekend. Then next week will be episodes 7 & 8.

Some of you may ask, why am I re-watching the Star Wars movies all over again? Well, for one, I need  a memory refresher of the story. I’m re-watching the Star Wars series in order from 1 – 8 and then I’ll watch Episode 9 when December comes. Plus, like I said Disney is making me appreciate Star Wars more and more so I’m re-watching to help celebrate and have fun. Another reason is that Star Trek doesn’t make good movies anymore so that could be another reason why I’ve been getting into Star Wars more.

Star Wars is a great series and I can finally now see why it’s a huge franchise and why it’s a big deal.  I think Disney is doing an amazing job with the new movies. I loved “The Force Awakens” and “The Last Jedi” and don’t understand all the hate. I also love the spinoff movies too: “Rogue One” and the Han Solo movie. All really good shit.

As far as the new footage from “Rise of Skywalker” goes, seeing all that makes me stoked for Episode 9 even more. It’s looking like that Rey turns to the Dark Side and C3PO turns to the darkside as well it looks like. I’m sure an evil C3PO is making fans go crazy and they don’t want it to happen probably but I think an evil 3PO is an interesting concept. Does C3PO join Palpatine? Or Palpatine repograms 3PO so he can be evil.

Another question is how is Luke Skywalker gonna return? You know he is going to come back in some form ’cause hence the title, “Rise of Skywalker”. Everybody knows what happened to him in “The Last Jedi” and there’s a pretty good chance Skywalker is coming back ’cause Mark Hamill is still casted in “Rise of Skywalker”. You never know what’s going to happen ’cause this is science fiction and anything can happen in science fiction.

I’m pretty stoked for Episode 9 “Rise of Skywalker” and I will see it in December when it comes out in theaters. I’ll be there for this one for sure. I’m glad they brought Palpatine back and I’m sure Ian McDiarmid is gonna kill it and knock it out of the park with that role once again.

Kev

Not only that Master Palpatine returns so does Darth Vader in “Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker”???

So the Star Wars Episode 9 trailer is finally here and the subtitle for this one is: “The Rise of Skywalker”. Interesting.

As usual the trailer is full secrecy and mysteries that will get people talking and debating. JJ Abrams is the master at making movie trailers for that reason alone. Not bad for a trailer that’s only two minutes.

Some of you may ask, who’s the voice over? It can’t be Kylo Ren ’cause Adam Driver’s voice is a lot deeper. It can’t be Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker ’cause it doesn’t sound like Hamill’s voice at all. Who does that voice remind you of? That’s right… it sounds almost an exact match as Master Palpatine and that’s who the voice is. It is Ian McDiarmid’s voice for sure so this probably means that Ian reprises his role as Palpatine? That’s what it’s looking like.

It’s also looking like that Darth Vader is making a return too. Is that who is flying that huge Tie Fighter going after Rey as she stands there and waits for it? If you watch the trailer, it very briefly showed the inside of the tie fighter with an unknown person holding the control yoke. You see someone’s hands with big black rubber gloves controlling the yoke. I immediately thought of Vader. There were talks in the past of bringing Vader back somehow and I wouldn’t be surprised that’s who it is.

Some of you may ask, how is it possible for Vader to come back when he died in “Return of the Jedi”? Hmmmmm… interesting thought but keep in mind that this is science fiction and anything is possible.

Another thought that now that Palpatine is back, it’s possible that he created another Vader, a different one. This time Luke Skywalker is the new Vader. Luke Skywalker turns evil and joins the Dark Side, imagine that??? That could be a possibility too and it’ll be an interesting turn if they go that direction.

Some other thoughts on the trailer, looks like Lando and Chewie flying the Falcon again like the good ol’ days. I kind of predicted that would happen and looks like Leia would make an appearance too.

Some of you may ask, would Luke Skywalker return for this one? I think it’s a possibility ’cause like I said above, he could turn into the Dark Side after what happened to him in “The Last Jedi”. There is a reason this movie is subtitled “The Rise of Skywalker” so it could be referring to either Luke or Anakin. My bets is that it’s probably Luke.

Also toward the end of the trailer, you see Rey and her friends looking at some debri across a body of water. Well, that’s obviously parts of the death star from years ago… parts of the super laser from the Death Star.

It’s a great trailer and gave me goosebumps. I’m totally stoked for this one and will definitely be there in the theaters for this one. I’ve seen all the new Star Wars movies in theater so far including “Rogue One” and “A Solo Story”. I’m looking forward to this one for sure. I think Disney is doing a great job with the new Star Wars movies. Fuck the whiners and the crybabies!

Kev

After Star Wars: Episode 9 will there be an Episode: 10, 11 and 12? Yes, I think there will be…

So Oscar Isaac confirms that Disney is ending the Skywalker saga at Star Wars: Episode 9. That’s it.

https://www.inverse.com/article/54015-star-wars-episode-ix-9-ending-skywalker-family-saga-prequels

So now that the Star Wars Episode 9 is gonna be the last of the Skywalker story, does this mean it’s the end of the original Star Wars series? No, I don’t think it’s over ’cause I think the original series will continue and continue. I think there will be an Episode 10, 11 and 12 but they won’t be about the Skywalker story anymore.

Yeah, there will be other Star Wars spinoffs and other trilogies in the works but I think the original series with the Episode numbers will continue on forever. After episode 9, there will be a whole new story.

In the new Star Wars trilogy episodes 7, 8 and 9 there is a reason for all these new young characters ’cause it’s an obvious “passing of the torch” kind of thing. I predict that Episodes 10, 11, and 12 will focus on the new characters. It’ll continue the stories of Rey, Finn, Poe and everyone else.

Star Wars will be around forever. It’s never going away kind of like how James Bond and Star Trek will never end.

I think it’ll be an interesting idea that Episodes 10, 11, and 12 will focus on Rey. Rey will definitely be a lot older in Episodes 10, 11, and 12 so hopefully they’ll keep Daisy Ridley for those movies and they probably will.

I’m looking forward to Star Wars 9. I’m loving all the Star Wars movies so far. I’m loving the spinoffs and yes, I thought “The Last Jedi” was fucking awesome. My only disappointment with the new Star Wars movies was that Disney didn’t reunite Han, Leia and Luke which is a bummer. Would have been awesome if that happened.

Kev

Now that HBO Game of Thrones will be ending at Season 8, the series creators will be moving on to Star Wars next…

Well this is interesting. The creators of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” David Benioff and DB Weiss brought us the hit TV series, now we know what they’ll be up to next since they are ending the series at Season 8 next year. Looks like the two GOT creators will be moving on to write a new Star Wars series ’cause Lucasfilm hired them to do just that.

http://www.starwars.com/news/game-of-thrones-creators-david-benioff-and-d-b-weiss-to-write-and-produce-a-new-series-of-star-wars-films

Game of Thrones writers doing Star Wars… does that now mean the new series will be R rated? Also full of sex, incest scenes and killing off characters that people like? I wouldn’t be surprised…

… all joking aside, I think this is interesting, though. You can expect “Game of Thrones” stars to star in their Star Wars films. I would like to see Emilia Clarke in a Star Wars film ’cause that would be cool and Peter Dinklage would be cool too.

Now you can see why the GOT’s cast and crew wants to be done with GOT’s so they can move on to other projects and this is exactly it. These two guys Benioff and Weiss spent half of their lives working on GOT and looks like they’ll spent the next decade or so working on Star Wars.

So we got the original series still going on, SW: Rogue One, SOLO: A Star Wars movie coming this year, the new Rian Johnson SW’s trilogy been announced and now this. I know this may seem weird, but George Lucas gave Disney the permission to make as many Star Wars films as they wanted so that’s exactly what they’re doing. Some are already fed up with all this, but Star Wars is a huge universe so you can create as much stories as possible. If all the Star Wars books can do this then why can’t the movies?

I think Disney is a doing a good job with Star Wars ’cause I’m liking everything they’re doing. “Rogue One” was good and Ron Howard’s “Solo” movie looks awesome. I used to like Star Trek more than Star Wars but I’m not liking the new Star Trek movies at all. I guess, I like Star Wars a lot more than Star Trek now.

It should have been no surprise to you that Disney will be interested in the Game of Thrones creators ’cause why? Watch the “Game of Thrones” show yourself. GOT’s is like Star Wars almost. Think about it, right?
