Report: AICN sticks up for Christian Bale, an explanation on the tirade…

Harry Knowles of AICN explained the Christian Bale controversy and defended the guy a little bit. The reason for the tirade was that the DP lighting guy, Shane Hurlbut, was shining them huge stage lights around while Christian was filming a scene, that is what pissed Christian off.

I agree with Harry, that I think the media is exploiting Christian just to make him look bad, to make Christian look like an asshole when he really isn’t.

Thought: Christian Bale gone mad on set isn’t the first with actors, stop acting like it is….

Ya know, actors like Christian Bale going mad and losing his temper is nothing new in Hollywood. Why is the media acting like this is something new happened? It isn’t. Actors and actresses lose their temper all the time when something goes wrong while filming.

Even the film directors lose their tempers and go on a rage, when the actors can’t film a scene right and perfect the way the director wants it. When people go, “Oh no, Christian Bale is an asshole, what a douchebag, I had so much respect for that guy and I’m no longer a fan, waaaaah, waaah, Waaahh, etc”, that shows you have no idea how Hollywood works.

I still support Christian Bale for this. This is something called “Work”, people getting mad happen at all jobs. At your day job, I’m sure there are all kinds of yelling and screaming all the time. It’s even like that at my job sometimes with other employees. It’s the same with Hollywood.

GET OVER IT PEOPLE! Christian Bale getting mad on a job is no big deal. Stuff like this happens in every day life. People get mad, SO FUCKING WHAT! If you were an actor and some idiots in the film crew were being morons, who messed up a perfect scene that Christian nailed and then he have to film the scene over again, you’d get mad too. That’s what he was being mad about in the clip. Hint: Bale calling them “amatuers” and so on.

Not all actors are the nicest people in the world, get over it. The only reason this is made public is so the media can have something to drool over. I’m sure these hollywood stars are nice to people out in the public but when they are filming and working, it’s a different story. This ain’t a big deal and it’s ridiculous to me why this has to be media news in  the first place.

I think the main reason is that I think Christian is still upset with the death of Heath, he has never gotten over Heath’s death, as Christian and Heath were very close friends while filming “Dark Knight”.

Speaking of the Oscars…about the Dark Knight…just an observation…

Sid Ganis, the President of the Academy said, “Nominees, be warned, you’re in for a surprise”. Then he goes on explaining that they will play the nominations of the Oscars differently this year. What if…I’m saying WHAT IF!!! Somehow the Academy will take us all by surprise by somehow “secretly” sneaking in the “Dark Knight” for BEST PICTURE or other nominations? Is this a reason they’re keeping this all a secret?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm….why so serious?

Report: Oscars will be unpredictable this year, nominated winners will be played in a different game…

All the nominated celebrities…actors, film crew, attended the Academy award luncheon today in Beverly Hills, California. The president of the Academy Arts and Sciences, revealed that nominations will be played a different way for the winners this year, but he was tight lipped on the details.

Yep, that means the movie fans who are expecting the Golden Globe winners to win at the Oscars too, that may not even happen and the winners could be totally different. If you think “Slumdog Millionaire” will sweep everything or Mickey Rourke will win for “The Wrestler” at the Oscars Feb. 22nd, those things could change too. This is the Academy’s way of keeping things unpredictable.

The Associated Press reports:

While I would love to see “Slumdog Millionaire” sweep everything since I think it’s a wonderful film, I have a feeling it’s not going to happen. Either “Benjamin Button” or “Milk” could be the big winners that night. The Oscars this year will be unpredictable, you’ll never know who’ll be the winners.

Even Angelina and Brad could pick up a win for their roles too.

Report: Christian Bale not too friendly when being messed with while filming…

TMZ posted an audio clip of Christian Bale on a temper tantrum, screaming at film makers while filming “Terminator: Salvation”, swearing and threatening them with violence and everything.

Me thinks, Christian hasn’t been the same since Heath Ledger died, I think he’s still upset over the death of Heath.

On top of that, I think the film makers of “Terminator: Salvation” deserved the smackdown by Christian 100%. Sounds like they were giving Christian a hard time, being a bunch of dicks to the actor (you can hear the crew laughing at him in the background).

This is why Hollywood film makers shouldn’t piss off their actors. The actors are worth a lot of money being paid over $20 million for just one film. Honestly, Christian isn’t doing anything wrong here, sounds to me the crew provoked him and he lashed out in return.

Nice job Christian, show them shady Hollywood film makers that you aren’t to be messed with!!!

Report: Liam Neeson’s “Taken” destroys box office Friday opening day…

As expected, Liam Neeson’s “Taken” is so far ahead in the box office opening, scoring a whopping 9.5 million. It’s no surprise. Liam Neeson is a legendary veteran actor who barely ever stars in leading roles. Most of his roles are supporting roles or small roles. I expect this film to make a little over 30 million tomorrow. The movie will be a hit. It’s a badass film. It’s great, check it out if you haven’t yet. You’ll have fun.

Report: Ralph Macchio speaks out his thoughts on Jackie Chan being Mr. Miyagi, and they aren’t too positive…

Ralph Macchio speaks out some more on the “Karate Kid” remake that stars Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. He expresses his opinion on Jackie Chan as the Mr. Miyagi character (originally played by the great Pat Morita).

MTV News reports:

Honestly though, I would rather see a 5th Karate Kid film instead of a remake of the first one. Ralph could play Daniel one more time and Ralph could direct the fifth installment himself since he is now a director. I’m sure Ralph can make a better Karate Kid movie than anyone else.

I hope the Karate Kid remake bombs.

Thought: Believe it or not, “Friday the 13th” remake looks amazing and am looking forward to it!!!

Before seeing the movie “Taken”, I’ve seen the new “Friday the 13th” trailer, and the new “Friday the 13th” remake, looks absolutely amazing and breathtaking. I feel the remake is going to be better than the original series!!! Most horror film remakes are trash except the only really good horror remakes are “Dawn of the Dead”, “The Ring”, “Texas Chainsaw” and Rob Zombie’s “Halloween”.

I will indeed see “Friday the 13th” remake in theater and I’m sure that film will be quite a thrill ride, it won’t dissapoint.

Film Review: Taken

Starring: Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen

Directed by: Pierre Moral

So I just got back from seeing the movie “Taken” this afternoon and here is my review.

Plot/synopsis: Liam Neeson stars as a single father and divorced man named Bryan Mills, he is also a retired government operative. The movie begins as a happy family film where Bryan goes to his daughter’s Kim’s birthday party to celebrate her 17th birthday. She wanted to become a famous singer which is her dream, so Bryan does his best to help make her dream come true by getting help from a famous pop star who Bryan becomes friends with.

Kim and Bryan’s ex-wife reveals to him that Kim wants to take a vacation to Paris, France. Bryan later learns that Kim is not just going to Paris, she is travelling all over Europe so she can follow the European tour of her favorite band U2. When Bryan finally allows her to go to Paris, Kim is kidnapped by gangsters as soon as she arrives there.

This angers Bryan so much that he can’t help himself but go out and find his daughter himself and kill the men who took her. Bryan is all about revenge in this movie.

Jason Bourne. James Bond. MOVE OVER!!!! We have a new action hero on the way. He is Liam Neeson. You love movies with intense violence and non stop action all the way through? Go see this! This movie will seriously kick your ass!!! Liam Neeson is not much of an action movie man because he mostly done dramas and serious films over the years. Liam is fuckin’ bad ass in this film!!

Lots of brutal fist fight scenes and incredible car chases that will take you at the edge of your seat the entire time!!! Liam’s acting in this film is so awesome in this film. I wish the film could be longer. I felt the film went by too quick and was a short movie, 90 minutes full of violence and thrills.

The writing was good, cinematography was good, scoring of the music was good, stunts were good, etc. Just a great movie all around. I think it’s one of the best new action movies in a long time. Honestly though, I can definitely see Sly Stallone starring in a movie like this, it would have been a perfect film for Sly. Liam still did a great job though.

Go see this, if you like edge of your seat action flicks, this film will send chills down your spine, trust me!!!

Score for “Taken” = **** (4 stars as in “Excellent”)
