Film Review: “Terminator: Genisys”.

Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke

Directed by: Alan Taylor

Earlier this afternoon, I have just seen “Terminator: Genisys” and here is my review…

Plot/Synopsis: When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…

As a huge Terminator fan, I would have to say this Terminator movie was very disappointing. Even Arnold coming back to the famous character couldn’t save it. The only good thing about it was the action and Emilia Clarke who is an actress who I like. The plot was kind of silly and I think it was loaded with plot holes all over. Plus I thought the movie was badly casted for the most part. This film is neither a reboot or a remake but instead, I look at it as a continuation of “T-2: Judgement Day”. It’s just a typical Terminator movie with lots of action and special effects.

The only reason they did the aging Terminator storyline was so they can give an excuse for an aging Arnold Schwarzenegger to return. The action was fun but like I said, it was the only good thing about the film. I just wish it would be better ’cause this film was kind of a let down, in my opinion. It’s hard to make a great Terminator movie without James Cameron helming, only he can make a great Terminator movie. They can make as many Terminator movies as they want to but nothing will be better than the first two. I thought Michael Biehn played the better Kyle Reese.

The movie was just okay. It wasn’t anything special. I wish James Cameron would come back and save the Terminator franchise but he vows not to come back to them. He wants nothing to do with the series anymore which is a shame.

I’ll give the movie a score of 2 out of 5 as in “okay”.

2nd trailer of “Terminator: Genisys” arrives online…

When I saw the first teaser of “Terminator: Genisys”, I wasn’t all that impressed with it but now that the second trailer is here, I think I’m pretty much sold to the movie now. I’m looking forward to it and can’t wait. I love Emilia Clarke, big fan of hers. After her role as Daenerys in “Game of Thrones”, she’s gonna be a huge movie star. Whenever she’s done with “G.O.T.”, she’ll probably move on to movies full time.

Arnold’s zombie apocalypse movie, “Maggie” teaser is out…

Arnold trying to do horror movies is nothing new. He already did a horror movie in 1999 called, “End of Days” which is a good one and you’ve probably seen it. Arnold decides to try the horror genre again with a film called, “Maggie”, a zombie apocalypse film.

I’m a big fan of zombies and stuff so I’m looking forward to this.

This for sure looks like a totally different movie for Arnold. Instead of being the typical tough guy action hero like he always is, his role in “Maggie” looks a little more serious.

The film comes out in May and I think I’m definitely gonna go check it out. Enjoy!

Arnold Schwarzenegger gives advice to gym goer about “not being afraid of failure” when hitting the gym…

A frustrated young gym goer posted a rant on reddit saying that he almost gave up bodybuilding ’cause he was being laughed at for his horrible form in his workouts. In his post, he tagged Arnold Schwarzenegger hoping that Arnold himself would actually respond. Surprisingly enough, he did get a response from Arnold the man himself. The response from Arnold wasn’t a quick one sentence. Arnold wrote a pretty long post for him, at least several paragraphs. He just gave the gym goer who goes by the name of GnashBrowns some advice not to be afraid of failure. GnashBrowns decided to go to the gym again after Arnold wrote that post.

More on the story here:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/film-news/11490023/Arnold-Schwarzenegger-gives-struggling-gym-goer-ultimate-pep-talk-on-Reddit.html

That’s awesome! I know Arnold is not everyone’s favorite but the man really does have heart and he is a good guy. He really does care for his fellow gym goers and he does give people advice when he can. He’s good at keeping people motivated to keep going to the gym.

That’s one of the things I hate about public gyms… other people that go there are crazy. When people are doing things in bad form… other people just don’t care… they either laugh or just ignore you and they go about their day. Once in a blue moon when someone catches you doing something in bad form, he/she will be kind enough to come over and teach you how to do it correctly. That’s what happens to me once in a blue moon. Sometimes I do get caught doing something in bad form and someone will come over and teach me. I don’t get upset when that happens, though, I actually love it! When you teach people, it shows that you care for others safety. Once again, I get caught doing things wrong sometimes. It’s no big deal.

It is a big deal when people don’t care.

No matter how much controversy Arnold gets himself into, I’ve always respected the man. It’ll be cool to have Arnold himself train me for a day. Yeah, I’m still doing the bodybuilding thing. I’m just getting back into it after a little break from it. I haven’t lost my motivation in it, just took a little break ’cause you need to have those sometimes. Resting is important. Re-charge and re-start.

Disappointed with “Terminator: Genisys” trailer, might wait for DVD rental on this one…

Okay, I’m thinking about crossing off “Terminator: Genisys” as one of those movies for 2015 and might wait for rental on this one. Instead of a re-boot like they promised, it turned out to be a remake of both “The Terminator” and “T-2: Judgement Day”. Why not create a whole new story with new characters and not having anything to do with the first two films???

On top of that, nobody can play the T-1000 liquid Terminator better than Robert Patrick can. I still prefer the originals, why ruin them???

Thumbs down.

“Terminator: Genisys” trailer to be released Thursday…

The crew behind “Terminator: Genisys” (Terminator 5) released the living one sheet. Once you enter this site, it’ll give you the living one-sheet and then it’ll direct you to a count down. Which is probably the count-down to the trailer.

2015 is shaping up to be a huge year for Hollywood. “Star Wars: Episode VII”, “Bond 24”, “Jurassic World” and “Terminator: Genisys”.

I hope the new Terminator film is gonna be good. I’m a huge Terminator fan, always have been. I like all the Terminator movies even “Rise of the Machines” and “Salvation” were good films.

The new Terminator movie is gonna suck. Not impressed…

Seriously, I love the Khaleesi but she looks terrible as Sarah Connor. I still prefer the original Sarah Connor who was played by the great, Linda Hamilton. The first two Terminator films directed by James Cameron will always be the best Terminator films. The Terminator films went downhill after Cameron stepped down. I wish Cameron and Hamilton would do one more Terminator film. I’m sure they would have but Cameron’s focus is on all of those “Avatar” sequels he’s got in the works.

I’m already feeling that “Terminator: Genysis” is gonna suck. Even Arnold returning wouldn’t be able to save it. Get James Cameron back on the helm and I’m sure it would be a lot better.

I’m a huge Terminator fan, too by the way. The first two will always be classics.

I always knew that Arnold Schwarzenegger was innocent… he’s a good man…

When Arnold’s secret affair with his housekeeper was exposed and he made a baby with her, the media tried to make him look like the bad guy. Turns out that he is not a bad guy at all. It turns out that Maria Shriver was cheating on Arnold long before his affair with the housekeeper. It’s just that she likes to be looked at as the innocent victim so it was her who intentionally tried to make Arnold look bad in the media.

People in America tried to make it look like that Arnold is a perverted pig to women and all that stuff. Maybe this article will finally silence all the doubters who thought he was a horrible womanizer?

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/09/02/maria-shriver-cheated-on-arnold-schwarzenegger-too-report-says/

I’m not into celebrity gossip and all that stuff but since I’m a fan of Arnold, I thought this would be worth posting.

Did Arnold knew after all this time that Maria was cheating on him so he banged the housekeeper for revenge? I can’t blame Arnold for wanting to sleep with someone else if he knew that Maria was cheating on him.

I never liked Maria Shriver anyways so Arnold is better off without her. I knew Arnold couldn’t have done something horrible. He doesn’t seem like that type of guy. What he did with the housekeeper was his private business. That didn’t need to become a huge media frenzy to begin with.

Keep in mind that Maria works for the news and the media. She’s very close with them. I’m pretty sure it was her that told the media to make Arnold look like the cheater and not her.

This proves that Arnold is a good man and innocent. The affair and divorce news may have put a little damage on Arnold’s film career a little bit but now that Maria’s cheating news have gotten out, Arnold can now put this behind him and move forward.

Arnold is probably happy this got out!

Sly blames Arnold for career slump but sorry Sly, I disagree!!!

Sylvester himself appeared on Jimmy Fallon earlier this week to promote “Expendables 3” and Sly went into some details about his longtime feud with Arnold over the years. Sly blames his 90’s career slump on Arnold. Sly claims that if he didn’t sign on to movies like, “Stop or My Mom or Shoot” or “Rhinestone”, Arnold would get in on those movies.

http://www.torontosun.com/2014/08/17/sylvester-stallone-blames-arnold-schwarzenegger-for-movie-flops

Honestly, I think Sly is full of it. Those are just excuses.

I think Sly’s career was starting to fail in the 90’s ’cause Sly was horrible at choosing scripts. It’s not Sly’s fault, though. Sometimes when an actor chooses a script and he likes it, you can never tell whether the film is gonna be a hit or not.

Sly is a star again these days ’cause he’s obviously being more careful at choosing scripts and his projects. He’s learning from his past mistakes.

“Rocky 6” and “Rambo 4” weren’t Sly’s big comebacks. Sly’s big comeback film was “Spy Kids 3D”, lol… and that film was a box office smash obviously.

I thought it was unfair and wrong for him to blame Arnold.

I mean, Sly has turned down some of the biggest movies ever like The Terminator, Die Hard, Romancing The Stone, Pretty Woman, 48 Hours, Beverly Hills Cop, Face/Off, Star Wars, Superman: The Movie, etc. It’s true…. Sly was asked to star the lead in all of those movies and he even auditioned for some of them but he ended up saying no. Yes, he said no to starring in Superman and Star Wars when he auditioned for them.

On Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, Sly explained his audition for Star Wars when he was trying out for the Han Solo role and it was funny. It’s true that George Lucas considered Sly for the role. Look this stuff up.

Instead of going for all those movies I listed above Sly ends up going for movies like “Judge Dredd”, “The Specialist”, “Assassins”,  “Driven”, “Get Carter”, “Daylight”, “Oscar”, etc. All box office failures.

Sly is just lousy at choosing movies… that is all. You can see that the man will never admit it so he goes out of his way and blames Arnold.

Arnold was obviously a way more successful actor than Sly. Most of Arnold’s movies were box office hits ’cause why? Arnold is better at choosing his scripts, he knows what he’s doing. Of course, Arnold had some box office failures too but not as much as Sly did.

I’m glad Arnold and Sly finally buried the hatchet. Hopefully it stays that way so they can star in more movies together. They did 4 films together so far. The three Expendables movies and “Escape Plan”. I think they’ll collaborate on more movies together outside of the Expendables films.

Arnold confirms he is finished filming, “Terminator: Genisys”…

Arnold confirms that he is finished filming all of his scenes for “Terminator: Genisys”, the new Terminator film that will hit theaters in July of 2015.

This should be the big summer movie and I can’t wait! I’m a huge Terminator fan and so happy that Arnold is back in the role. I’m sure Arnold’s role will be more than just a cameo. I’m sure Arnold will have a few big fight scenes.

What do you think? Do you think Arnold has what it takes to play the Terminator at this age? I’d say yes. Arnold is still doing action films doing his own stunts so I’m sure he did fine. This is a new Terminator reboot so this film will have nothing to do with the past films. A new introduction and a new beginning.

I think Arnold is still on for one more Conan film so hopefully that happens soon!
