“The ChristMas Chronicles 1 & 2” on Netflix with Kurt Russell & Goldie… both really good films!!! Was impressed!!!

So on Christmas Eve night, I usually watch a Christmas movie or two every year. This year, I decided to do a little something different by finally getting around to checking out “The Christmas Chronicles 1 & 2”, the Netflix exclusive Christmas movies which reunites real-life married couple Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn on the screen.

Obviously this wasn’t the first time Kurt and Goldie starred in movies together. Their first movie together was “Swing Shift” in 1984 and then of course, “Overboard” in 1987. The film “Overboard” was the film that made this power-couple huge stars in the film industry.

I watched both “Christmas Chronicles” on Netflix back to back last Friday night so I went on a binge watch, admittedly. hahaha… anyway, I was hooked to these two films from the start. Very good film-making on both of them too. Great acting by the entire cast, great writing… no complaints. Of course, Kurt Russell kills it and that man still got it obviously same with Goldie. Even though Goldie’s appearance was real short in the first movie ’cause it was just an introduction to Mrs. Claus but she’s throughout the entire second movie, though. I’ll have to say it was pretty freakin’ awesome seeing Kurt and Goldie together again on the screen.

Both films are entertaining as hell and they were both really funny too ’cause a lot of it was comedy for sure. Even though these two films had a lot of comedy in them, though, it was on a serious note…. both films had a lot of positivity and a lot of heart too.

We’ve had too many Santa movies over the years and most of them weren’t that good but finally we get something that’s really enjoyable. The first one is good but the second “Christmas Chronicles” is way better, though.

Will there be a third one? Probably. I hope so. Kurt Russell is still very talented, he’s like 69, almost 70 and he’s still killing it with his acting. That man can play anything that throws at him and over the years of his career, he has played pretty much everything even Elvis! Is there anything Kurt can’t do? I guess that’s one of the big reasons why Kurt is one of the most respected actors ’cause he’s so versatile.

You should check these movies out if you haven’t yet. You won’t be disappointed.

Video: “The Hateful Eight” teaser is finally here!

I love Quentin Tarantino movies. I’ve seen them all and will be seeing this one too. I think he’s a genius film maker and one of the best out there.

While some would believe that “Pulp Fiction” was his best movie but in my opinion, I thought “Inglourious Basterds” was his best movie. Although all of his movies are great.

I’m looking forward to the “Hateful Eight” and it’s great to finally see Kurt Russell doing big screen movies again. This movie is probably gonna be Tarantino’s usual format in movie making: different stories, lots of dialogue, a lot of swearing and bad language, a woman steals the show, foot fetish cameo, violent gross out scenes, etc. You know how his movies usually are. 🙂

Yes, a “Big Trouble In Little China” remake is coming and Dwayne Johnson is the new Jack Burton!!!

Some interesting movie news just came out today that Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock is in negotiations to star as the new Jack Burton in the “Big Trouble In Little China” remake. I’m sure many of you have seen the 1986 original with Kurt Russell in the leading role and the original was directed by the legendary, John Carpenter!

http://variety.com/2015/film/news/dwayne-johnson-big-trouble-in-little-china-remake-cast-1201509737/

“Big Trouble In Little China” is one of my favorite films and would make an interesting remake. This film deserves an updated version, taken place in our present time.

Some of you may go, “Oh no, not another remake”. Don’t worry. Knowing how strict John Carpenter is about remakes, he won’t allow the “Big Trouble” remake to make it exactly like his version at all. I remember when Rob Zombie asked Carpenter that he wanted to remake the first “Halloween”, Carpenter was all cool with it as long as he made it a different film and not make it exactly like Carpenter’s. I would think Carpenter would want the same for this remake.

I like the Rock as an action star. I’m interested on how they’re gonna pull this remake off.

Tarantino decides to make “The Hateful Eight” after all and here’s a poster just released!!!

Despite the script leak, Tarantino has decided that he’s gonna go ahead and make his next movie, “The Hateful Eight” anyway. At first, he was gonna scrap the project and just do a table reading but then he decided that he would calm down and go ahead with the movie.

It appears that Kurt Russell has already been signed to star in the leading role which is gonna be cool to see Kurt and Quentin work together again for the second time (they worked together for the film, “Death Proof”).

I’m sure Quentin will add some more of his past cast members to the “Hateful Eight”. I’m sure Samuel L. Jackson will be involved again in someway. Michael Madsen too. What about Christoph Waltz? Uma Thurman?

I’m sure this will be another 3 or 4 hour epic split into different stories like all of his films are.

Tarantino is a genius film maker. I’m a huge fan of all his movies. Love them all. Even “Jackie Brown” was a great flick.

Can’t wait for the “Hateful Eight”!!! I’m sure there’s gonna be a lot of re-writes due to the script leak but it’ll still be a great film. Can’t wait to see Kurt Russell back on the big screen. From what I see, Kurt hasn’t been on the big screen in a long time. He doesn’t work much anymore. Probably because Kurt had a very successful career and he’s made so much money from his past career that he doesn’t need to work anymore if he doesn’t want to.

I thought “Django Unchained” Quentin’s last film was amazing. I’m sure this one will be just as good. Quentin never disappoints.

Here’s the poster in the link here:

Film Of The Day: Big Trouble In Little China

This is one of my favorite old school action movies from the 80’s, “Big Trouble In Little China” starring Kurt Russell. Also, directed by John Carpenter. It’s an action movie and comedy both at the same time.It tells the story of a trucker named, Jack Burton, who agreed, to pick up Wang Chi’s fiance at the airport. Of course, she gets kidnapped by this man named Lo Pan because she has green eyes and he needs someone with green eyes, so he can regain his physical form. Jack also gets his truck stolen. So Jack, had no choice but to rescue this woman from Lo Pan, and try to get his truck back.

This film is what I call a classic, and it’s one of those movies that you must see, in order to call yourself a true movie buff. Everyone should know about this film, and if you haven’t, then you don’t know your movie history like you think you do. I think it’s one of Carpenter’s best films. It’s another one of those movies I can watch over and over, and never get tired of it. This movie is so entertaining. I really hope Hollywood doesn’t remake this flick, ’cause the film would be so hard to copy. Kurt is a badass in this one too. If you haven’t seen it, do so, soon!

Report: Kurt Russell to replace Kevin Costner for Tarantino’s “Django Unchained”…

Kurt Russell will re-team with Quentin Tarantino once again for, “Django Unchained”. Kevin Costner was going to play a role in, “Django” but was forced to pull out due to his hectic work schedule for, “Man of Steel”, in which Costner plays Jonathan Kent in the film.

More on the story, here.

Well, look like Kurt is definitely not going to be in, “The Expendables” sequel if he’s going to sign on to this. Maybe he will join the Expendables cast for a possible cameo, though, who knows. I would like Kurt to be part of the Expendables movie too, but it is pretty cool he is re-teaming with Tarantino again.

Report: Kurt Russell signs himself another role, will star in “Touchback”…

A while ago, we learned news that Kurt Russell is making a comeback to Hollywood after a long hiatus. He returned by announcing news that he is going to be starring in a supernatural thriller titled, “Undying”. His next role after that, he just signed on to star in a football film titled, “Touchback”, where he will play a football coach.

In the film, Kurt will play a character named, Brian Presley, who is a farmer and fireman. He used to play football himself until an injury forced him to stop playing, so it looks like he ends up becoming a football coach later on.

Report: Sly is planning sequel to “Tango & Cash”…

Could Sly Stallone go back to wearing the suit, tie & glasses and Kurt Russell will go back to wearing drag for a sequel in “Tango & Cash”? It could be possible as Sly is planning a sequel to the action comedy. Although the two haven’t worked in a film together in a long time, they are still great friends. Sly tried to get Kurt for “The Expendables” movie, but Kurt turned it down ’cause he wasn’t ready to come back to Hollywood yet. I think Kurt agreed to a “Tango & Cash” sequel as a way to make up for it? Could “Tango & Cash” be Sly’s next movie after “The Expendables”? Hopefully.

Report: Kurt Russell returns to Hollywood in “Undying”!!!

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Kurt Russell on the big screen haven’t we? Well it looks like he’s finally tired of doing nothing and ready to start making movies again. Kurt signed himself up to star in an action thriller titled, “Undying”. The script was written by “Book of Eli’ writer, Gary Whitta. Kurt was signed to this movie by, Media 8 Entertainment. The plot for “Undying” tells a story of Virgil Lone (probably Kurt’s character) who gets pulled into a surreal underworld when he is hired by the mysterious Delia. Filming will begin this fall. This is Kurt’s first film since 2007’s “Death Proof” directed by Quentin Tarantino. Yes, it’s been a three year break for Kurt.

BREAKING NEWS: Kurt Russell aims for a return to Hollywood to star in “Red Dawn” remake???

Kurt Russell had quite a long hiatus from Hollywood films. It looks like he is about ready to make a huge comeback to star in the remake of “Red Dawn”, the 80’s action film that originally starred, Patrick Swayze.

Kurt Russell hasn’t had a movie role since 2007’s “Death Proof”, a Quentin Tarantino film. That’s a long 2 year hiatus.

The announcement of Kurt Russell starring in “Red Dawn” remake was made at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

Sylvester Stallone once asked Russell to have a role in, “The Expendables” but Russell turned it down since he wasn’t ready to make a return to Hollywood yet. Russell looks like he is finally ready to come back!

More on it here:

I wish Russell would have agreed to star in “The Expendables”, that in my opinion, would have been a better comeback for Kurt.

Looking forward to seeing Kurt back in action, welcome back…Kurt!
