Report: Richard Donner speaks out on “Superman” and the “Lethal Weapon” series!!!!

Interview with film maker Richard Donner, the man responsible for bringing us the original “Superman: The Movie”, the Lethal Weapon series, the Goonies, etc.

Although rumours are swirling the nets that screenwriter Shane Black is writing a script for “Lethal Weapon 5”, Donner here said he is not doing the 5th one and he also confirmed Mel Gibson pulled out in returning.

He also speaks more on Superman, the movie that he brought to the big screen himself. He comented on Bryan Singer’s “Superman: Returns” saying how much he loved that film, saying that he nailed it. Isn’t it amazing to hear Richard Donner give “Superman: Returns” positive feedback after all this time?

He also finally gets his own star for the Hollywood walk of fame, which is deserving and long overdue. Congrats Richard!

More on it here:

Richard Donner is an amazing director. Ya know, I love the Superman movies and I would love it if Donner returned to direct a new Superman movie, that be great.

I’m glad there’s going to be no Lethal Weapon 5 though. I hated Lethal Weapon 4. I only liked the first two Lethal Weapon films. 3 and 4 were pretty bad.

Report: Angelina Jolie’s “Salt” to have a mix of drama and action…

In Angelina’s acting career, she has always been known to have two different personalities. One is when she stars in a serious drama film, when her acting gets serious and emotional. The other personality, is when she stars in a big action flick and she’s the sexy star in it. The producer of the film explains that her next film “Salt” is going to have a mix of both.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

I’ve always wanted to see her in a movie like that where she brings in both the drama and the action.

Her movie “The Bone Collector” released back in ’99 which she stars with Denzel Washington is kind of a mix of action/drama, but that film is more of a thriller though.

She never really had a role where she brings in drama/action and sex all at the same time. Great idea. Angelina is an actress, I’ve always admired my entire life. I look forward to anything she does.

I’ll admit she has starred in some pretty shitty movies, but some of her stuff is really really really good like “Gia”, “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”, “Girl Interupted”, “A Mighty Heart” and she had a great role in “The Good Shepherd”. Those were the best films she’s starred in, the rest of ’em are okay, pretty good and she had some shitty ones as well.

I just enjoy watching her films for eye candy and enjoy watching her acting talent, I’m kind of addicted to her.

Report: Clint Eastwood finally speaks on “Gran Torino”, but it ain’t another Dirty Harry flick…

While Clint Eastwood’s next directed film “Changeling” that stars Angelina Jolie hits theaters Oct. 24th, Clint finally opens up about the next film he plans on directing and “starring” the leading role in titled “Gran Torino”. He confirms he isn’t playing Harry Callahan again but he explains he’ll be playing a Korean war veteran who is a racist and very open about hating on other people not in his race, he bonds with an immigrant Asian neighbor over a classic car.

Eastwood to start filming “Gran Torino” next after he’s finished promoting and marketing “Changeling”? It’s definitely a possibility.

USA Today reports:

http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2008-10-05-clint-eastwood_N.htm?loc=interstitialskip

Even though it’s no Dirty Harry film, “Gran Torino” still sounds good. Since this film is about a racist, expect this film to create some big controversy in the media. Spike Lee will probably be all over Eastwood again.

I’m looking forward to seeing “Changeling” ’cause I’m definitely seeing that film in theater when it comes out this month.

Even though Warner Bros. is planning a reboot of Superman with a darker tone, Warner Bros. also has plans with Bryan Singer still making the sequel to “Superman: Returns”. So look like Singer’s “Superman: Returns” sequel is still happening. Look like we’ll get two new Superman movies in the future.

They said if Christopher Nolan signs on for “Batman 3”, Bryan Singer’s “Superman: Returns” sequel will get greenlighted, and all other superhero projects will move forward as well. They are waiting for Nolan’s “Batman 3” confirmation before anything.

That’s good news that Singer is still on board for the “Superman: Returns” sequel, glad he is still doing it even though Warner Bros. is making a darker Superman reboot. Cool.

Bill Murray is still expressing his excitement for “Ghostbusters 3”, it’s just great to see!!! Bill says he wants the 3rd Ghostbusters film to be more like the 1st one. Since the next film is focused on training new Ghostbusters, Bill has an idea that he would like to see a female casted as one of the new Ghostbusters.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/10/09/bill-murray-calls-for-female-ghostbuster-in-third-film/

He probably means a young female as a new Ghostbuster.

Who are they gonna call?

Scarlett Johansson? Natalie Portman? Maggie Gyllenhaal?

Either one would make me go see it.
