Cool Video: Mike Grosshandler of the Velmas covers “Thriller”…

Well, here comes all the youtube musicians covering Michael Jackson songs as a tribute. I’m thinking of doing the same thing. Learn a few MJ songs acoustically and record myself singing them. I’ll work on it.

Here is Mike Grosshandler of the Albany, N.Y. band, The Velmas, covering “Thriller” on an acoustic guitar, with his own backup vocals from ProTools.

Great job, Harvey (Mike’s nickname).

Well, at least the media can let Farrah rest in peace…

The point of the title of this topic, if Michael Jackson never died today, Farrah would have been all over the news today and not Michael. So it’s obvious, Michael’s death spotlight took over Farrah’s. Notice how the media is ignoring Farrah’s death?

“Weird Al” Yankovic have to be very upset and devastated about MJ’s death. Al Yankovic was an obsessive fan of his, he already parodied two of MJ’s songs. “Fat”, and “Eat It”. I’m sure Al Yankovic would post something about MJ on weirdal.com soon.

Edit to add: Yep, “Weird Al” is upset, he twittered it already…

Maybe Al will do a Michael Jackson homage style parody like he did to the Doors?

Well, “This is It” for Jacko…

Oh my fucking god! Un fucking believable!!! First we lose Farrah Fawcett this morning, and now Michael Jackson!!! I am in absolute shock! We lose two legends in one fucking day!

Okay, look like I’ll have a tribute for both Farrah and Jacko hopefully tonight. This is crazy!!!!

Oh yeah, “This is It” is a quote taken from Jacko’s press conference at the O2 for those wondering where it came from. Well, so much for them 50 O2 shows and Jacko’s new album.

Report: Could Jacko be the next one to go???

Michael Jackson was rushed to the hospital today due to cardiac arrest, and his Dad, Joe Jackson, says he isn’t look very good at all and not doing well.

TMZ reports:

We lose David Carridine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and if Jacko’s next, love him or hate him, it would be a sad loss to the music industry. I don’t agree with his views on children, and don’t like his craziness, but he is a music legend. You have to understand that. He’s made so many great hits and did so much for the music industry than anybody out there. Losing Jacko would be a tragedy whether you like him or not.

Report: Phish announces new album, “Joy”, to be released this summer!!!!

Phish has announced a new album release. The name of the new album is simply titled, “Joy”, which will be a ten track disc. It is slated for release sometime this summer with no exact release date yet.

To see the track listing of the new album, click here:

I’m willing to bet that the reason the album has only 10 tracks is that most of the album is going to be long ten minute jams, like most of their albums are.

Looking forward to getting their new CD.

Lou Diamond Phillips, the actor who is well known and most famous for movie roles like Richie Valens in “La Bamba” and Jose Chavez in the two “Young Guns” movies has won the reality show, “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here”. With a huge heart that Lou Diamond has, he picked the award for Art Has Heart Foundation which lowers education income for students, he was also awarded his share of prize cash too.

More on it here:

Congrats to Lou Diamond. This guy has been out of the media spotlight since the 80’s and early 90’s, he was huge back in those days but these days no one knows who he is anymore.

Now that he’s won this, maybe popularity will come back to him again.

Come on Lou! Start doing some big movie roles! Now that you won this, you could get recognized in the movie industry again!

“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, will see it this weekend…

I will see, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” this weekend. Review coming soon. This movie is getting mixed reviews. A lot of people love it, and some hate it. Although, this movie is creating some controversy as well, as some critics say it’s very racist.

As a little child, I was a huge Transformers fan. I collected all the action figures and watched the cartoon series pretty religiously.

IMO, Shia Labeouf, is not the right choice of a star for a movie like this. I just like the movies for the fun action scenes, the cool robots and of course, the sexy Megan Fox.

Looking forward to seeing “Revenge of the Fallen” this weekend, hope it won’t suck. Hope I’ll like it.

Perez apologizes for using “F” gay slur to public/readers, but this is just an attempt to save his career…

Perez makes a heartfelt apology to the public and his readers, he even apologized to Isaiah Washington who he’s been making fun of on his website for a long time.

http://perezhilton.com/2009-06-25-im-sorry

Good apology, but it won’t be long when the dude will start some more bullshit and drama with a different celebrity next week or so. It was just an attempt to save his just about killed, blogging career, and so he won’t lose his readers.

Apology not accepted from the Brock, sorry.
