I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Misstallica, tribute to Metallica, have been impressing the hell out of me this week!!!

Many of you would know, that I am a die hard Metallica fan. There’s this all girl Metallica tribute band, called, Misstallica. If you local readers are interested, they’ll be playing a gig at Bogie’s  in Albany. I would love to go see them, but I don’t think I’ll be able to make it this week.

Misstallica’s been advertised over facebook and they got me curious. So I went looking for their youtube videos at their live shows, and wow. These girls actually fuckin’ rock, and I’m impressed!

Metallica songs are extremely hard to cover, especially their earlier stuff in the 80’s. The most complex Metallica album would have to be, “And Justice For All”,  and these girls nailed all of those songs, note for note. They’re pretty tight and they look fun to see live. Their singer & guitarist Gina Gleason, shreds some pretty good solos, she doesn’t just play rhythm guitar.

Someday, I would have to go out and see them next time they come around here. Who says girls can’t be into metal? I’m sure there are tons of Metallica tribute bands out there, but Misstallica’s, the best one I’ve heard. Enjoy these killer videos. Keep up the great work ladies!

Violence is never the answer with fitness, folks…

There are some people online who mistakenly think that I may have gotten into fitness in preparation for a fight with a certain someone. Not true. I’m not a violent guy. Never was. I don’t pick fights with people. I won’t fight someone no matter how bad a person is, because violence is never the answer in the fitness & bodybuilding world. That’s one of the biggest problems in bodybuilding. A lot of muscular guys want to act tough and a lot of them become violent over this way. It is why you see a lot of bodybuilders getting in trouble with the law, getting in trouble for fighting and all that stuff.

While violence in bodybuilding is never the answer, it is good to use for self defense only though. If someone tried to pick a fight with you or if you get jumped by a group of people, you can do whatever it takes to save your own ass. It doesn’t matter if you knock their teeth out or punch their faces in, whatever it takes to save your own life, it’s all good. I believe you won’t get arrested for self defense.

This is one of the reasons why I got into bodybuilding. For protection of my own self. If I get confronted by some internet hater in person, I would do whatever it takes to save myself. That’s a promise.

Pat Sajak, drunk behind the wheel???

Pat Sajak appeared in an interview with Dan Le Batard’s “Highly Questionable” show on ESPN, and Sajak admitted that he and his longtime show partner, Vanna White, used to get drunk on “Wheel Of Fortune”, in the early days. Sajak says, he used to be bored with the show back in the old days, so during the 2 hour dinner break, he and Vanna would go to a bar to drink margaritas. Sajak claims the only reason he did it, was so it can help bring out the fun and excitement hosting the show.

I’m sure Sajak still drinks margaritas with Vanna to this day, just not on the job. Now it makes me wonder if Sajak ever slept with Vanna? Wouldn’t surprise me if he did bang her a few times.

The problem with this area’s music scene, it’s not music appreciative as you all think…

Why does this area’s music scene in the Capital District so bad? Why does it suck so much? The major problem with that is, that this area does not have any music appreciation at all. Many of you would know that I appreciate music, 100%. I respect other talent and leave my ego out the door on everything.

This is a very negative music scene. Everything about it is negative. Ya know, bands talking shit about other bands. The live music venues being difficult on the booking. There’s a lot of ego and jealousy all over the place. People don’t support music around here that much anymore. There are too many hateful critics around here as well.

Too many bands and musicians, think they’re rock stars around here, and I never once had the rock star attitude. Music don’t have to be a popularity contest guys. It shouldn’t have to be about getting as much as fans as possible.

I never cared about publicity or getting popular. All I cared about was making the music and writing the songs. That right there, shows music appreciation. If this area’s music scene was more music appreciated, then I would be out there gigging a lot more and I might get accepted as a musician around here, but nope. There are too many hateful & negative people around here trying to destroy your dreams.

I learned that if music is your passion, you have to ignore all the negative bullshit and keep doing what you do, make music. Don’t listen to anybody and don’t trust anybody in the music world. Only concentrate on the thing that you love to do and that is music. I’m learning, the best I can. Ignoring the haters and not caring what anyone else thinks.

Nothing is stopping your music dreams, no matter what happens. If people think you suck, fuck ’em, you can’t please everyone, right? Keep making the music anyway. I’m never giving up songwriting and guitar playing. I’ll be doing it ’til the day I die.

I wish this area would be a better music scene, but it never will be. It’ll be the same forever. I just make music to please myself, I’m okay with other people not liking it.

Thought: Why should we care about celebrity divorces & separations?

Seriously, the media frenzy of celebrity divorces & separations are getting ridiculous. There’s nothing much of interest in entertainment news anymore ’cause the celebrity gossip overshadows everything. When a celebrity couple gets divorced or separated, the media will be all over it for weeks. Kim Kardashian & Chris Humphries, Hugh Hefner & Crystal Harris, Katy Perry & Russell Brand, Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher, and now Seal & Heidi Klum. Seriously, what the fuck, ya know? Why should we care about their personal lives? I certainly don’t give a fuck, do you?

My blog here is not a gossip site, leave that shit to TMZ or perezhilton. I don’t read those two sites anymore like I used to, seriously, no lie.

This site is about positive things in the entertainment business. Like movies, music, professional wrestling or fitness/sports kind of stuff. That’s the kind of stuff that I talk about here.

I’m tired of seeing all the celebrity divorces everywhere. Just wait until Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt gets separated. Oh man, imagine what the media will be like then.

If I were to write about a celebrity divorce, it would have to be worthy to post and something music related. Like Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth for example, something like that.

The reason this gossip stuff is popular and everywhere because it helps make the business a lot of money, period.

I like to talk about music and movies in this site, ’cause that what I love. I have a passion for both music and movies. I’m a big music buff and a movie buff at the same time. I don’t care for celebrity divorce stories. Never been my thing.

Report: Kiefer gives more details on the big screen “24” movie!!!

Since the “24” big screen movie has been announced, the fans have wondered how the movie is going to do the timing. You know, the ticking clock thing. Kiefer is slowly giving us more details on the big screen film of, “24”. He says the film will not be in real time. They’re going for a different feeling this time around.

Also, will this film get a hard R rating after all? Kiefer hints that Jack Bauer will have a bit of a potty mouth and he may swear & cuss at the badguys.

Read what Kiefer have to say, here.

As you can see, Kiefer is still keeping the plot/synopsis of the movie secret. Will Tony Almeida and Chloe O’ Bryan return? It’ll be interesting if they do.

I love it that we may get a foul mouth Jack Bauer. If you seen the show, that guy doesn’t mess around. When Bauer gets pissed, you should be scared. That’s one reason why I love the character so much. Can you hear Bauer screaming, “Where’s the fucking bomb?” Then I can picture the audience in the theater cheering for him after saying that.

I hope we get an R rated, “24” movie, so we can hear some swearing  and it can be a violent movie with blood and all.

Bruce Springsteen, coming to the Times Union Center, April 16th…

To all you local readers, if you’re interested and a fan of the Boss, he just dropped his tour listings on his site today.

Check ’em out, here.

I’d like to go but not sure if I’ll be able to afford it or not. Springsteen is one musician that I never got a chance to see live in my life before. The Boss’s concert prices are usually ridiculously high. The cheapest you’ll ever get to see the Boss are usually the not very good seats where you have to sit so high in the arena.
