Report: Dan Aykroyd says “Ghostbusters 3” will start shooting next year, with or without Bill Murray…

Dan Aykroyd, appeared on the “Dennis Miller” show and yep, you guessed it, they talked about, “Ghostbusters 3”. Dan explains they will start shooting next year, sometime in 2012. They still want Bill Murray to sign on, but Bill has never responded yet. Bill is still being difficult about the project. So whether Bill wants to do it or not, they don’t care. Sony studios is doing it with or without him.

Dan does explain what the main characters will be like for the next film. His character Ray is blind in one eye and can no longer drive the cadillac. Egon is too overweight that he can’t do anything anymore. They did this to explain the reason for new, “Ghosbusters”. They explained they need 3 young men and going for a female Ghostbuster this time around.

Dan reveals he wants Matthew Grey Gubler from, “Criminal Minds”, as one of the new Ghostbusters.

More on it, here.

Lets hope Rick Moranis returns as Louis Tully as well. Without Louis Tully, it won’t feel like a Ghostbusters movie anymore. Rick Moranis retired from Hollywood years ago, but who knows, maybe he will come back just for this one film.

I hope Bill says yes. If he’s not in this film at all, then I won’t bother with it. It’s not a Ghostbusters movie without Bill either. Lets hope and pray that Bill will respond to this soon.

Report: Metallica finally opens up about recording with Lou Reed in the studio, Kirk Hammett says Lou’s songs made the band cry…

Metallica have been pretty quiet about the recording of their new album with Lou Reed for a while, now they are just starting to open up. Lou wrote a song called, “Junior Dad”, which reminded Kirk of his father who passed away. The song was too emotional too him that he had to spend time alone in a different room. The song also made James Hetfield emotional as well.

More on it, here.

Can’t wait to hear the song! I’ve been a long time fan of Lou Reed, and still am. I’ve followed Lou’s career for years. Love his music, so I can’t wait to hear this project. Fuck the haters!

Hurricane Irene, on her way here???

Facebook can’t stop talking about Hurricane Irene, people’s been talking about it in their status’s all day. Hurricane Irene is on her way here. Will the Hurricane actually hit NY State? First we get an Earthquake, now a possible Hurricane is near.

My prediction is that we’ll definitely get really heavy rains and possible strong winds. That’s about it, nothing serious. I don’t think the actual Hurricane will hit here.

Thought: Bands getting their 15 minutes of fame, doesn’t really make you famous, sorry…

Don’t you just love facebook when it comes to music? When unsigned bands & musicians get their 15 minutes of fame, whether getting the opportunity to perform on a national TV show, getting featured in a national magazine article, getting your video played on MTV/Vh1, etc. Whatever it is, their egos will get even bigger after that and they are in facebook acting like they are a celebrity now. It’s crazy, I tell ya.

Yes, it must be great getting 15 minutes of fame, but you’re still unsigned and still a local musician like the rest of us. This is an example of the type of fantasy world that musicians are living in that I’m talking about. 15 Minutes of fame, may get you a little more exposure, sure, but that still doesn’t mean you’re big & famous.

I’m not naming names ’cause it would do nothing but create controversy. I’m just being realistic here. It’s just that there are plenty of unsigned bands & musicians in facebook who either want fame or think they’re famous. Albany, still playing the rock star wannabe thing here.

I’ve been a part of local music for years, folks. I’m sure some of you readers know that and I’ve never once had this kind of ego.

BREAKING NEWS: Gibson guitar companies raided for use of imported wood from India…

To you guitar lovers like myself out there, there is some sad news to report that the makers of the iconic Gibson Les Paul guitars, are in trouble with the law by the government. Gibson’s main companies in Nashville and Memphis were raided by federal agents. What is Gibson being accused of? They are being accused of producing wood that was imported from India. According to the U.S. government, that is illegal. Gibson says they are innocent and they vow to fight back.

Read their full press release, here.

This is very sad. The Gibson guitars were created and invented by a musician named, Les Paul. He was the one who pioneered the Gibson legacy.

The Gibson guitars have launched the careers of many famous musicians such as Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Slash, and many more.

It would be very sad if the Government shuts down the Gibson company because of this. Lets hope and pray they fight this battle successfully. I’m on Gibson’s side. They will win.

Report: Liam Gallagher drops lawsuit against own brother, Noel, after apology…

Liam Gallagher, decided to have a change of heart with his brother Noel, and dropped the lawsuit. Noel must of apologized and it seems that they kissed & made up.

Read more on it, here.

Nice to finally see them acting like adults for a change. Hopefully they will bury the hatchet and patch it up soon, ’cause they’ve been feuding for years. This feud is entertaining and hilarious though. Some of their attacks and insults at each other are priceless. In a new post sometime, I’ll do a blog post with some of the best “Gallagher Brothers” insults from their interviews with the press. I’ve been following this feud for a long time.

I would like to see Oasis make a reunion down the road, though. Maybe it won’t happen right away, but you know they WILL reunite someday. They’ll come back.

Thought: Was Kurt Cobain good to work with in the studio? You may be surprised of this answer or not…

In celebration of Nirvana’s iconic album, “Nevermind” being re-released as a 20th Anniversary deluxe edition, Butch describes Kurt’s work ethic in the studio while making the album. What a lot of people may wonder, was Kurt good to work with in the studio? Butch Vig, the band’s producer, said Kurt was very difficult to work with. Butch says Kurt was a pain in the ass and had mood swings.

Read more on the story, here.

Kurt may have been a pain in the ass, but that’s what you must do if you want your songs the way you want them to be. Kurt had a vision of what his songs would wanted to sound like in his head and he was just trying to put it out on recording. So to do that, he must harass and annoy Butch to get the sound that he wanted. It’s about the artistic direction, the music.

Actually, Kurt was doing nothing wrong, it’s Butch that’s actually being the pain in the ass. Butch should have done what Kurt wanted.

Cool Photo: Oh wow! See Superman, Faora and a mysterious villain go face to face!!!

More behind the scenes pics of Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” surfaces the web today. These are pretty controversial pics too.

See Superman, Faora, and a mysterious villain in a mo-cap costume standing next to Faora. Check them out, here.

As you can see in the AICN talkbacks, people are bashing the new Superman costume. Superman got rid of his red underwear and the yellow belt that he’s known to wear. I hope I’m not the only one that likes the idea because it doesn’t hurt to change Superman’s looks and image for once.

The same Superman look does get old after a while don’t you think? I warned ya before that Zack Snyder is making all kinds of changes with the Superman franchise. The reason for the new look that Zack wants to give this movie a current feel, so the film is looking like it’s taken place in our current time.

On top of that, there are plenty of Superman comic books where he didn’t have the red trunks. Seriously, look it up if you don’t believe me. The new comics decided to put blue jeans on him. So I can tell that DC is getting bored with the same look as well.

I love the Faora costume though who is played by Antje Traue, a German actress. There are similarities to Urtha.

As for the mysterious mo-cap costume, what is a mo-cap, some of you may ask? For those who don’t understand films that much. You wear mo-caps all over you as it picks up on a computer creating an animated character. A mo-cap suit may look silly on set but it is needed to create the character. Read more on motion capture, here.

Whatever the mo-cap character is, it’s definitely not General Zod. I’m hoping that character is Brainiac or Metallo. It could be either one of them.

Back to the Superman costume, I’m in favor of it. I’m willing to give it a try. That new look of Superman, gives him a new personality. It makes him look tougher and makes him more human looking. They wanted to give it a realistic feeling. Zack said many times he wanted this film to be realistic and different.

I’m loving what I’m seeing so far. Can’t wait to see what Michael Shannon is going to look like as Zod.

Look like they are all done casting. Look like they won’t use Lex Luthor or Jimmy Olsen at all. That’s okay though, I’m fine with that.

How often do I do ab exercises???

Some people often wonder how much I do ab exercises. Like crunches, planks, etc. The truth is. I only do ab workouts, like once every other week now. You don’t really need to do ab exercises at all, because everyone has abs. You just need to lower the body fat so they can show. I concentrate on eating right and doing plenty of cardio to get abs. Either jogging or biking are my choices of cardio. People waste too much time doing ab workouts when they should be concentrating on eating good and cardio. That’s how you get a six pack. The abs are just like every other muscle, you don’t want to over train them.

I still have some body fat to shred off and trying the best I can, so my abs can really show good. They can show pretty good now, but I need to get a lot leaner. Strict eating is the only way to get abs. There’s no other way around it.

I haven’t checked my body fat percentage yet. The last time I checked, it was 16%, but that was several months ago. I’m hoping I’m a little lower than that now. I got to order one of those skinfold caliper things online sometime. My goal is to get under 10%. That’s when you’re considered to be lean.
