BREAKING NEWS: Darren Aronofsky drops out of directing, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” sequel!!!

First Darren Aronofsky drops out of the “Robocop” reboot, next he drops out of the “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” sequel. Him and Hugh Jackman seemed very excited and pumped for the project, but Darren no longer wants to do it. Why? Because he thinks filming the movie would keep him out of the USA for too long. He doesn’t want to be away from his family for a long time.

For your information, “Wolverine 2” will be filming in Japan, where the movie will be taken place.

That really is too bad. I was really looking forward to Darren’s take on Wolverine too. The film will suck who ever takes over now. Darren would have made it a great movie too. Sad. 😦

BREAKING NEWS: Mel Gibson gives up and turns himself in…

Just several days after, Mel Gibson pleaded “no contest” to allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, Mel was sentenced to three years probation and counseling, not getting any jail time. Last night, Mel gave up. Yep, one of the most famous actors/directors in the world, turned himself in last night. This is pretty shocking. I didn’t see this one coming from Mel.

TMZ, reports.

I wonder what made, Mel, give up? Will he actually confess that he’s wrong and will agree to serve some jail time? That’s what it’s looking like.

People are already entering the Memento contest!!!

So far three people have officially entered the contest and got the answers exactly right! Hopefully more will enter by next Friday. If this contest is a huge success, then I will do a lot more giveaways down the road. Even if companies don’t ask me to promote something and get an award by them in return, I’ll just go out to Best Buy or the mall and buy prizes myself to give away for the blog. DVD’s/Blu Ray’s/Books/Videogames, etc. Any of that stuff.

I have e-mailed Cinedigm, to mail me two more copies of the “Memento” Blu Ray/Poster. Hopefully they’ll send me a couple of more copies so I don’t just give away one only. I want to make this fair for others.

Report: Sean William Scott will do next “American Pie” film for the big screen, not straight to DVD…

Even if Sean William Scott turned himself into a treatment facility for personal reasons, he still signed himself to “American Pie: Reunion”, which he will reunite with Jason Biggs and Eugene Levy. Yes, the whole American Pie gang is coming back. Mena Suvari, Chris Klein and Tara Reid are all in negotiations to return.

If the film won’t bring back Allyson Hannigan or Shannon Elizabeth, then I won’t bother seeing it. It’s not an actual reunion without those two women, who helped make the first movie for what it is.

I only liked the first, “American Pie”, film. The rest of them were really bad.

“The Walking Dead” Season 2 predictions…

So I’ve been watching, “The Walking Dead” Season 1 DVD all week. So far, I’ve watched 4 episodes of it already, I’ll probably watch the last two tonight. I love this series. It’s one Tv show, I can watch over and over again, never get tired of it. The series is that addicting. I just can’t wait for Season 2 later this year. The previews of “Season 2” said, the main focus will be on the love triangle between Rick, Lori, and Shane.

I’m not sure I did this post before already, but who cares, I’ll do it again.

My predictions for “The Walking Dead Season 2”, what I think will happen.

  • Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker’s character) is still alive, not a walker yet – When Rick and his gang found Merle gone and his hand was left behind, I think it’s obvious that Merle sawed off his own hand with the hacksaw, and escaped just before the walkers came and killed, Merle. So I think Merle will definitely return for Season 2. When Merle returns for Season 2, he’s going to be one pissed man for sure. Merle and his brother will team up to get revenge on Rick and his friends.
  • That mysterious helicopter gets revealed – The mysterious helicopter that was only shown once in the very first episode, the pilot of the helicopter will probably get revealed. Does the pilot actually help Rick or is another villain? I haven’t read the comics, so I don’t know. Don’t want to know until I find out next season.
  • The Rick, Shane, and Lori love triangle – We all know Shane and Lori (Rick’s wife) had a brief affair in the first season. The show is doing a good job, not letting Rick know about it yet. Will Rick finally find out in Season 2? Lori seems to be keeping her affair with Shane a secret all along, and maybe Rick will find out. It might be possible that Lori could get pregnant again with Shane being the father, and that’s how Rick is going to find out.
  • Another one of Rick’s friends will get turned into a walker – Jim and Amy were both infected, and turned into a walker from the last Season. Who’s going to be next? It might be Shane. Dale might be a possibility too.
  • Will the whole walker (or zombie) thing be over with and the people can go back to normal lives? – Again, I haven’t read the comics, so I don’t know how this ends. I wonder how they’re going go back to the life they once had before the apocalypse?
  • Rick loses Lori and she’s a walker – It would make an interesting twist if Rick loses Lori. It would also show the emotional side of him and it would be a sad and heartbreaking part of the whole story. He just couldn’t kill Lori even if she’s a walker, just like that black guy from the first episode couldn’t kill his own wife.

That’s all I can think of for now. I just hope Season 2 will be just as good and doesn’t go downhill. We’ll wait and see. Season 2 will air on AMC in Oct.

5 Former WWE superstars that I love to see return…

Since there have been a lot of WWE superstar returns lately, I figure it be cool to name my choices of who I would like to see make a full time return…

Here they are:

  1. Kurt Angle – Kurt is currently working for TNA Impact, but it seems he is happy staying over there. I wish he would make a return to WWE. WWE could really use him. Kurt’s last feud in WWE was against Randy Orton. Kurt coming back to get revenge against Randy Orton after all these years would make a great storyline. It’ll be a long time to see Kurt back in WWE, we’ll have to wait until he’s done with TNA, but he’ll be back in WWE at some point. Only matter of time.
  2. Mick Foley – I really want to see Foley back. He too is a current TNA star. WWE made Foley for what he is, a hardcore legend.
  3. “Macho Man” Randy Savage – He deserves to have his last run with the WWE at some point. It would be pretty amazing if he made a return.
  4. “Chyna” Joanie Laurer –  Will we ever see Chyna back? Probably never but it would be cool. Her and Vince don’t get along too well, but unless, they bury the hatchet someday, I’d love to see Chyna back.
  5. Brock Lesnar – Will probably never happen but ya never know. Whenever Lesnar is done with UFC down the road, maybe he will come back, but I wish he would make this feud with the Undertaker come true.

RIP: Nate Dogg 1969 – 2011

The world of music lost another great one. I wasn’t much into rap, hip hop or R&B, but I respected, Nate Dogg. That guy has talent, can’t deny that. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like this type of music, Nate Dogg was talented, I’ll say it again. I didn’t know much about Nate Dogg’s career, though. I only knew him through his hit song with Warren G, “Regulate”. That song brings back memories to my high school years. When I was in high school in the 90’s, that song was being played all over the place. Pretty much everywhere you went, you heard that song. I’m not into this kind of music much, I’m more of a rock & metal kind of guy, but I did LOVE this one song, “Regulate”. “Regulate” is a very powerful tune.

Nate Dogg died yesterday in Long Beach California, his cause of death is not known at this time, but he was well known to having a few strokes in the past. Nate Dogg’s music have inspired other rap music artists such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and more. RIP Nate.

Report: Tom Hanks will play Capt. Richard Phillips for Somali Pirate Saga…

The controversial story of the, Maersk Alabama, cargo ship hijacked by Somali Pirates in April of 2009, have made huge in the news. Sony Pictures is finally moving forward with the big screen movie based on this story. Look like Tom Hanks have said “yes” to starring as Capt. Richard Phillips for the role.

What do you think? Do you like Tom as Capt. Phillips? Tom would have to gain a little more weight. He would also have to grow a beard and mustache to match Capt. Phillips look. The makeup and hairstylists can make Tom look like Capt. Phillips easily. Knowing how great of an actor Tom Hanks is, Hanks can easily make his speaking voice sound exactly like Capt. Phillips’s speaking voice. I’m pretty sure Tom will nail this role with no problem.

I actually like Tom as Capt. Phillips and it’s a good choice!

Scams in the music business…

I know almost all bands & solo music artists want to be successful in their careers and make it to the next level. When you want to become successful and try do that over the internet, that’s when you become a huge target of scams. Yes, there are scams in the music business just like how you can get scammed out of dating sites, the lottery tickets, and everywhere else.

When you want to get gig opportunities, record deals, publishing deals, touring, etc. You have to be very careful of every move you make in the music business. You can’t accept every offer that is thrown in your face.

You have to watch out for Afton Live and other scams on the internet. They are all over the place. You need to learn how to tell which online company is a scam or what is legit. You have to watch for “red flags” and not trust everything you see and read online.

There is this band in facebook, that I know very well. I will not name this band…but this nameless band actually fell for this Afton Live thing and they actually booked the show with them at Red Square, in Albany later this Spring.

Most professional musicians online would immediately know that Afton Live is a scam. I’ve tried to tell this “nameless band” this company is a pay to play scam but this band wouldn’t even listen to me. They kept defending this Afton Live company and siding with them. They actually think it’s a good opportunity when I’ve tried to warn them that company is not to be trusted. They wouldn’t cancel out of the show, no matter what I said about Afton Live, and they stayed committed to playing, the Red Square gig. They think Afton Live is a good opportunity to get their feet in the door at Red Square.

I thought I warned people about this company, last year.

Why did Red Square agree to work with Afton Live? Because this scam helps the venue make some money. That’s all they care about. The owners of Red Square won’t care if bands get scammed out of this. They are not responsible for the scammed tickets that fans bought off of Afton Live’s website. I am watching facebook and I’m seeing at least 50 people have bought tickets off the Afton Live website, to go see this show at Red Square.

I’m just concerned for this band that they are going to get screwed out of this very badly. They would come home very disappointed and angry, knowing that they might get ripped off and I was afraid of this happening for this band…but their delusional minds don’t think any of this would happen.

I did my best to bring this to their attention but like I said, they were 100% committed to this show. So I’m like, okay, I’ll just give up and let them have their show. If something bad happens out of it, then it’s their own fault that they didn’t listen to me in the first place. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s going to happen out of it myself.

I’m already feeling bad for all those people buying those tickets off of Afton Live, they are about ready to get ripped off, big time, and they don’t realize it’s a scam. The money is going to that company, Afton Live, instead of the venue. That’s the sad part about it. They are not going to get that money back even if they want it.

At least, I tried to help this band. That was all I did was to save them from possibly getting screwed and ripped off, so I give up. Bands are really crazy and nuts, sometimes, I tell ya.
