Report: Will Jack Black do “School of Rock 2”?

MTV reported that Jack Black said he’d love to do a “School of Rock” the sequel but he will only do it with the original director Richard Linklater. Meaning if Richard Linklater agrees to do the sequel, Jack is definitely down. There are no plans of making a sequel to “School of Rock 2” but Jack has hinted there is a draft script in the works, no word if original screenwriter Mike White (who also had a role in the film) will return as the writer.

Jack Black is the current star of the animated film “Kung Fu Panda” out in theaters now.

Bring on the sequel to “School of Rock”!!! I think it deserves one! As long as they have the same cast and crew for the sequel, I’d definitely see it.

BREAKING NEWS: Nu Image/Millenium confirms “Rambo 5″…

While this article in Variety is confirming a new “Three Musketeers” film, the article also confirms Nu Image/Millenium will work on a 5th Rambo.

This quote from the article:

“Millennium is reviving the Robert E. Howard-created Conan the Barbarian and Red Sonja characters, as well as Hercules and Buck Rogers. And after its “Rambo” revival grossed $100 million worldwide earlier this year, Millennium is working on another installment.”

Variety Reports:

So there you have it, Variety just confirmed the rumours that “Rambo 5” will be Stallone’s next movie. So don’t get your hopes up on Stallone doing anything else next ’cause I believe Stallone is preparing for another Rambo.

I’m so happy for Sly he’s doing another one. He might as well do one more Rambo before he gets any older.

Rambo 4 did leave open for another movie so it would make sense if Stallone did another one. I want more Rambo! 4 movies ain’t enough! I hope Sly comes up with a good plot for Rambo 5.

BREAKING NEWS: Daniel Craig injured while filming “Quantum of Solace”…

At Pinewood Studios, while the new Bond, Daniel Craig was filming an action sequence doing his own stunts, he cut off the tip of one of his fingers. Daniel was immediately rushed to the hospital, but then returned to the studio after to continue filming, knowing that the injury wasn’t all that serious. He was taken to the hospital just for a “precaution”. Daniel was bleeding like crazy after he was injured so they felt he needed to go to the hospital for emergency treatment.

This isn’t the first time “Quantum of Solace” had an accident while filming as there were much worse accidents than this one.

More on it here:

After all the accidents “Quantum of Solace” had, it was only a matter of time that something would happen to Daniel Craig at some point.

A big movie star doing his own action stunts is very risky.

Glad Daniel is ok.

BREAKING NEWS: Stuntman dies in John Woo action film…

First a stuntman was killed in “The Dark Knight”, and here’s the next one…in John Woo’s next historical epic film titled “Red Cliff”, a 23 year old stuntman was killed when a small boat was ablazed and collided into a much larger boat as film makers had intended for the script, but the fire quickly raged out and engulfed both ships.

John Woo was not on set when the incident happened, he was out promoting “Red Cliff”, he immediately rushed back to Beijing to the filming location to check on it. The movie “Red Cliff” he is currently filming, a Chinese language foreign based film is high up to an $80 million budget.

John Woo has finally returned to his roots making Chinese films after years of making films for Americans with such American films he directed like “Mission Impossible 2”, “Face/Off”, and “Broken Arrow”.

Rest in peace to the stunt man, that’s terrible. Making real stunts in action movies is dangerous these days. Do not try this at home folks.

The film makers will do anything to make a movie realistic and these stuntmen are brave enough to risk their lives for it.

Report: The Smurfs coming to the big screen in live action movie…

Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation are bringing the hit cartoon TV series “The Smurfs” to a live action and CGI animated movie at the same time. The TV series was one of the longest running cartoon series in history by the Hannah-Barbera company. Jordan Kerner will be producing the film.

While the film will be live action, my guess on how they’re doing this is that the Smurfs characters will be the only ones animated by CGI effects. Smurfs cartoon characters into our real life world, similar to what the “Garfield” live action movie did.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117987167.html?categoryId=13&cs=1

It’s gonna be interesting to see who they’re gonna get for voiceovers for Papa Smurf, Gargamel, and Smurfette.

I’d say get Jack Black for Gargamel and maybe Robin Williams for Papa Smurf.
