Lady Gaga’s “Body Revolution” campaign is inspiring stuff, thank you Gaga!

So just for the hell of it, I decided to register to “LittleMonsters.com”, just to check it out to see what it’s like. It’s a social networking site strictly for Lady Gaga fans. What her “Body Revolution” campaign is all about, that she got going is that she wants people to feel good about their bodies. No matter who they are or what they look like. It’s not just about people having bulimia or being anorexic. She doesn’t want people to feel insecure about how people look.

For example, I have scoliosis. I don’t have the perfect looking body, and part of the big reason I got into bodybuilding, was so that it can help me no longer be afraid of how I looked when I take my shirt off. I used to be afraid in going shirtless in front of people, but gaining all kinds of muscles over the last 5 years now, helped me become more confident in being shirtless in front of people more. I do have a crooked body, yes, but that’s how I have to live my life. I have to be strong and learn to live like that. Bodybuilding helped me become a strong person that I am today. Some people make the mistake that lifting heavy will make the curve go worse, but it doesn’t. It’s all cool. Lifting heavy actually makes the back a lot better! So it’s all good! I just wanted to prove people that I can do something even with the scoliosis.

I do have other things wrong with my body, it’s not perfect inside and it’s not perfect outside. You’ll have to be happy for what you got. Learn to live with it. The Gaga here is helping me be inspired even more and help me become an even stronger person. Which is why it makes Gaga awesome. I’ve liked her from day 1 and her doing this “Body Revolution” stuff, she got even more respect from me.

I never understood all the hate against her. She puts out a positive career, her music is good, and she wants to help people. Those reasons alone is why she gets my respect. I might submit a pic to that site to see what kind of responses it gets. Not sure. The whole idea is to be confident about your body and show the whole world, so I might do it too. I’ll think about it.

Does Lady Gaga look good???

Lady Gaga just put this photo out there for the whole world to see. Half naked and didn’t even cover her face for protection. Usually when people do stuff like this, they would hide their face, to do this anonymously, blur their face out or something. Don’t see that here. Which is why I admire Gaga for her confidence. Her body looks pretty natural. Not a hint of plastic surgery, and those are natural looking breasts too. I know there are reports saying that she gained a little fat, and this is part of the reason for her showing off this photo. I think she looks pretty amazing, honestly.

I know she is most famous for hiding herself with her weird fashion and all that stuff, but she’s putting out pics like this, because she wants people to know who she is. I’m a fan of Lady Gaga. I like her as a person and am a fan of her music as well. I like her weird fashion, it’s just her way of expressing herself. All the hate she gets, is just unreal. I never had a problem with Gaga. She puts herself out there in a positive way, so for that reason, she gets my respect. She got even more respect from me after posting this pic, ’cause that’s pretty ballsy. She doesn’t have a bad looking body, kind of hot. She’s a normal woman.

I have all 3 of Gaga’s albums and looking forward to her next one, “ArtPop”.

Neil Young’s first tweet, he announced a twitter Q&A session:

“Look forward to talking to all of you music lovers. Will be doing a #TwitterLegends Q&A with fans about #PsychPill before the release!”

Look like Neil Young himself, will be posting to people personally after all. Cool! Maybe I’ll participate in his TwitterLegends Q&A sessions. I just need to think of a really good question that doesn’t get repeatedly asked, for a hopeful answer. If you want an answer from a famous person, the trick is asking them things that doesn’t get repeatedly asked by people. They hate that stuff. Write a question that will spark their interest. Should I ask him what his “influences” are or what his favorite “guitar” is? No. I’m sure he gets asked those hundred times a day. Gotta think up a unique question that will get his attention.

I’ve gotten responses from other celebrities when they did online Q&A’s before, and this trick works.

Neil Young is finally on twitter…

For you twitter users out there, Neil Young, finally launched an official twitter account. It’s not verified but I’m sure it will be soon. Guess Neil is still getting the hang of today’s technology ’cause remember, back in his younger years, there was none of this technology around.

Neil hasn’t made a tweet yet, so what will it be? Hope Neil himself will be personally posting on there, replying to people and writing himself. Although it’s probably going to be someone else posting on there, promoting his projects and news stuff. I’ll have to wait and see.

Follow Neil Young.

5 of Bruce Springsteen’s best songs…

There are some people who would only like Springsteen’s earlier music, but they don’t care for his newer music ’cause he’s gone too political. Not with me. I never stopped liking The Boss of rock n’ roll. I still appreciate Springsteen to this day. His latest album “Wrecking Ball” is really good stuff and probably the best new album he did so far. I’m a fan of all of Springsteen’s music, but I just wanted to name 5 of my favorite songs. 5 of his songs that I think were amazingly written.

So in celebration of Springsteen’s 63rd birthday today, here is my top 5 favorite Springsteen songs in no particular order:

“Pink Cadillac”

Whenever I get myself a band, I’m planning on covering this one. This is one of Bruce’s unreleased songs during the “Born in the USA” recording sessions, this song didn’t make that album. It’s a pretty tight song and just fun. I’ve always loved this one.

“Jack of All Trades”

The best song off of “Wrecking Ball” his new disc. Incredible song, blows my mind every time I hear it.

“Reno”

I covered this one a few times at my gigs from the past. It’s a nice acoustic song, and the lyrics just grabs me. I just had to cover this one for myself. Maybe I’ll re-learn this song and record myself on video singing it. Haven’t played this one in a long time.

“Adam Raised a Cain”

While “Darkness on the Edge of Town” is an excellent record, this is the best song. I could probably cover this one too. Sick song.

“Outlaw Pete”

This song gets me every time. It’s just fuckin’ perfect. Everything about this song is beautifully written. I’m dyin’ to cover this song but it might be hard for me to sing, I’ll give it a try though. This song has Bruce’s best singing too, a lot of passion here.

There are too many great Springsteen songs, but those 5, I’ll never get bored of listening to ever.

Edit to add: Oh yeah, I was gonna add, “The Wrestler“, the song for the soundtrack of that movie, but forgot, that’s a beautifully written song too. Another one I’d like to cover.

Thought: Why Billie Joe Armstrong, went off on IheartRadio concert, my take on it…

A lot of people seem to be confused on why Billie Joe Armstrong would throw a temper tantrum on stage in front of thousands of people, at a major festival like IHeartRadio (which seems to be a festival full of mainstream acts). Here is my take on what set Billie Joe into a rage. Okay, here we go…

I believe that Usher’s set was before Green Day, and Usher’s set might of went a little over time, which is probably the big reason that forced Green Day’s set to be cut short. If you look at this scheduling, Green Day was originally booked to perform a 45 minute set. I’m sure the festival organizers would have let Green Day perform their full set, but considering that Rihanna was the big headliner that night they were on, Rihanna was after Green Day, they were in a big hurry to get Rihanna on ’cause the MGM Grand were full of Rihanna fans.

Those comments that Billie Joe made, “I’ve been around since 1988”, and “I’m not fucking Justin Bieber, you motherfuckers”. I can completely understand where he’s coming from. Green Day has been making music and selling lots of records since the late ’80’s. Green Day has been around longer than most of the acts on that bill that day (well except for Bon Jovi, who has been around longer than Green Day). When he says, he’s not “Justin Bieber”, I think what he meant by that is that his band were being treated like kids. If Justin Bieber performed that night and if Bieber’s set went over time, they would have let Bieber finish his set. The festival acted like Green Day were nothing. They acted like the band was nothing important. Sure, Green Day may be as pop as Justin Bieber, but I don’t think that’s what Billie Joe meant. What I think he meant is that Billie Joe knows that the US  does not like Justin Bieber too much, he just didn’t want people treating Green Day the same way. He felt like the festival was comparing him to Justin Bieber.

The band felt that they were being treated unfairly. Today is not a good time for Green Day to be playing music still ’cause they’ll always be looked at as a pop band and they should have hung it up after their album “Dookie”. “Dookie” was the only good album they did ’cause it was a true punk record.

I can understand why the band would get mad though ’cause no band likes their set getting cut short and they don’t like getting controlled by the media. That’s what it is, Green Day getting controlled by mainstream music and pop culture. It bothered them. That’s why it set Green Day off. Just my 2cents on this.

Cool Video: Green Day upset over set being cut short at “IHeartRadio” concert…

Green Day, played a set at the “IHeartRadio” concert, and their set was forced to be cut short, only having 1 minute left. So Billie Joe Armstrong, decided to throw a tantrum, and complain, by cussing up a storm. He even went as far as calling out Justin Bieber and violently smash his guitar on stage.

If some of you find this offensive, then some of you must be new to the punk rock genre. This is the way a lot of punk rock guys act, on and off the stage. They swear, a lot of them have bad tempers. You get the deal, that’s who they are. They call ’em punks for a reason? This is a bad time for the punk genre to be around ’cause people in today’s industry would find what Billie Joe did offensive, but if this was still the 80’s where punk music was big back then, then this wouldn’t matter and it wouldn’t be a big news story. Billie Joe still acts like a punk ’cause that’s who he is. He’s always been like this.

It was funny though. I loved how he called out Justin Bieber. This definitely wasn’t acting though. Billie Joe is not afraid to express his honest feelings.
