Report: Warner Bros. the first label to attack youtube…and it’s about time too!!!

What took the music industry so long to finally see that music fans in youtube are stealing songs to make their own videos? Yes, the industry is still doing whatever it takes to respect the label’s artists and the music. Warner Bros. music has ordered youtube, the self uploading video site to remove any video that has songs that are owned by Warner Bros. music.

They don’t care whether it’s Metallica or Madonna or Kid Rock, they’re going to remove everything in youtube. They don’t care if it’s fans uploading their music videos or just regular audio youtube tracks (like those videos where you see just a photo and a song playing), or even a fan making their own videoblog with a Warner Bros. music artist playing in the background…it’ll all be gone.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117997715.html?categoryid=1009&cs=1

It’s actually good that they’re doing this. Whether you’re using songs or music videos for your own use, it is still considered to be piracy.

I mean, there are people in youtube uploading an entire album of music artists all over the place. What those people in youtube, think they are doing is okay and fine, but the reality is, it’s not.

If you claim to like music so much and care for an artists talent, respect their work by not leaking it on the net. A lot of people out there don’t understand anything about “copyrights”, that’s why fans think what they are doing is okay when it’s really not. I think, if you’re going to be a die hard music lover, you should know about copyrights and respecting other artists work.

Amy Winehouse, the troubled pop star decides to go on vacation and she decides to go topless in public, even though public nudity is illegal.

And here:

Those pics are definitely really hers, they are no fakes and no photoshop tricks. She has the same tattoos of a woman on both sides of her shoulders, that’s how you can tell they are real.

She’s a little fat, but hey, I don’t mind fat or overweight women. I enjoy ’em as a matter of fact. She is beautiful though. I find her boobs really hot!!! With the way she is addicted to drugs now, I’m sure her body is ugly on the inside but she is definitely beautiful and has an amazing body on the outside though!!! Woah!!!

Watch out, Amy!!! Be prepared for a call by Hugh Hefner begging you for a Playboy pictorial!!!

Report: I call Michael Jackson needing a lung transplant made up bullshit…

Jacko’s biographer claims that the King of Pop is sick and needs a lung transplant. Expect Jacko himself to speak out soon shooting down the rumours saying it’s not true. Becareful Mr. Halperin, you could get a nice big libel and slander lawsuit. With Jacko being broke and he’s not rich anymore, this will be a perfect time for him to score some extra bucks.

Report: The RIAA finally backs down on suing people for pirating music!!!

After 5 years of suing thousands of people for illegally sharing and downloading music from the internet, the RIAA has finally backed down. The RIAA will instead work with the ISP’s, to contact and identify users who continue to trade copyrighted music. The RIAA grew a change of heart and dropped all new lawsuits after working with Andrew Cuomo, New York’s attorney general.

Rollingstone reports:

http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2008/12/19/riaas-gaze-turns-from-users-to-isps-in-piracy-fight/

While this is great news, I still don’t trust these assholes. Once the economy improves, they’ll be on a suing frenzy again. They should have thought about the ISP thing 5 years ago.

Cool Video: Metallica “Guitar Hero” video game trailer…

Metallica just released the “Guitar Hero” video game trailer already, and this confirms that “Master of Puppets” will be included in the game.

Enjoy the trailer, I had a smile on my face while watching it, as this game is going to be cool. Can’t wait to get it!!!

Expect the Metallica haters to complain that the songs on the game sound better than the original albums, but fuck ’em, right? That’s the whole point of the video game is making the music sound better.

Confirmed: U2 announce they will release new album titled, “No Line On the Horizon” on March 2nd, 2009…

The legendary Irish rockers, U2, has announced the band will release their 12th studio album titled, “No Line on the Horizon” on March 2nd, 2009. The album is produced by Brian Eno and Danny Lanois. It was recorded in various studios all over the world. Previously, Rick Rubin was the producer for the album, but the band fired him and ditched his recorded tracks due to creative differences.

The band didn’t give anymore details on the new album. No tracklisting, no insight on the sound and no description of the style of music of the new album. I’m sure the band will give us all that in the near future.

From U2’s official website:

I hope this will be a good album, so I’ll be looking forward to listening to it. I didn’t like “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” at all. I did love the album released before that, “All That You Can’t Leave Behind” though. “Leave Behind” is a fuckin’ incredible album, one of the best new albums they’ve ever done. I hope “On the Horizon” album will fuckin’ rock and not be a mellow record.

Report: Axl Rose planning on suing Guitar Hero franchise…accusing video game of using Guns N’ Roses songs without his permission…

Axl Rose has threatened legal action against Dr. Pepper, and now he’s threatening legal action against the Guitar Hero franchise. What is he mad about at Guitar Hero? Axl claims that the game used “Sweet Child” and “Welcome to the Jungle” songs without his permission.

He says he’s okay and all good with Slash being involved with the game, Slash has been featured in the game “Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock”, but Axl is not okay with the franchise using his songs without asking him.

More on it here:

http://www.nme.com/news/guns-n-roses/41729#comments

Remember, the copyright laws people. Don’t hate the musicians ’cause they want to sue over their music. It’s their music. If you own the copyright to something, you have the right to sue as you please. It’s all about protecting the artists work.

Axl is being protective over his music when it comes to Dr. Pepper, the Kevin Cogill “Democracy” blog leaker, and now Guitar Hero. Axl has every right to be doing what he wants to be doing. You may hate these musicians for threatening legal action, but hey, it’s their right, they have the right to do that.

I mean, if all this was happening to my songs and if people were stealing ’em and using ’em without my permission, I would threaten legal action too.

Report: David Coverdale thinks Led Zep should record new album with guest vocalists…

David Coverdale, who once sang for Jimmy Page on the “Coverdale/Page” album, says that Jimmy Page should back off on the Led Zeppelin tour with a new singer and just make a new album with different special guests singers instead. Coverdale used Santana’s “Supernatural” as an example.

More on it here:

http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=111033

I am not afraid to say that I actually like David’s idea. Jimmy Page has already done something like this before. He’s done it with his solo album “Outrider” released back in 1988, Pagey’s only solo album had different guest singers. Mostly singers we don’t even know about like John Miles, Leon Russell, Chris Farlowe, and of course Robert Plant sang a song on “Outrider”. “Outrider” was also the first time that Jason Bonham played drums on an album with Jimmy Page, so that O2 reunion wasn’t the first time Pagey and Plant played with Jason.

Jimmy Page doing another album with his new band with different guest singers is a good idea. I can see all kinds of today’s rock singers singing for Pagey’s new Led Zeppelin band. Singers like Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, Dave Grohl, James Hetfield, David Bowie, David Coverdale, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Scott Weiland, etc.

Although I don’t see this happening anytime soon.

Thought: Axl Rose, is he a backstabbing prick?

Hmmmmmm, so when the Guns N’ Roses leaker, Kevin Cogill, got arrested for leaking 9 “Chinese Democracy” songs to his blog, Slash showed his support to Axl and the new album, by saying to the leaker, “I hope he rots in jail”.

The next thing you know, we get Axl Rose bashing the hell out of Slash in almost every online message board chat he is doing.

Slash is probably pissed at Axl now, expect Slash to respond to the rants that Axl’s been making about him online soon. Slash has been nothing but nice and supportive to Axl’s new project, and Axl is talking trash at his former bandmates.

Eh? Now you see why the former bandmates want nothing to do with the guy and don’t want to reunite with him. Further proof that a Gn’R reunion will never happen.
