Will Billy Joel ever release a new pop album??? Here is his answer…

Billy Joel aka The Piano Man hasn’t released a new pop album since 1993’s “River Of Dreams” (which is a killer album, btw) but will he ever release a new album of pop songs? It seems that Billy Joel has retired from releasing new music but he hasn’t retired from performing live though. The guy still does a lot of touring (gotta make a living somehow, right?). Even though he continues to play all of his biggest hits at his concerts, he refuses to make new pop songs. He’s still writing music all the time, though, he says he’s not writing pop songs but other genres.

He’s not sure whether or not his new songs he’s been writing lately will get heard or not but he probably just continues to write ’cause well, he’s a musician. They all continue to play like the rest of us.

Well, I think Billy Joel should release a new studio album. It’s understandable how he no longer wants to write pop songs ’cause he’s been doing that since the 70’s so he must be sick of it! I think he should give us one more pop album for the fans, though. I think he is capable of giving us one more killer pop album. He should give us one more. People has been begging him for one more pop album for a long time now and he keeps saying no but “never say never”. Even Elton John urged him to make more pop music so who knows? Maybe one day Billy will one day change his mind and will give us one more? We just gotta get enough fans to get onto him about it.

I am a pretty big Billy Joel fan, though. Always has been!

Lamb of God… I think their newest album is the best in their career…

Over the weekend, I’ve spent some time listening to the rest of the Lamb of God albums. They have 7 albums in their career. While all of their albums are really good, I would have to say that their newest record, “VII: Sturm und Drang” was their best in their career. Their latest record they just put out really is that good. It is also a little different than their previous albums, I’ve noticed. “Sturm Und Drang” has bigger riffs and bigger guitar sound too and like I said in a post before, the new album has Randy’s best singing. Really, you should check out LOG’s newest album. It’ll blow your mind. Some of metal’s best songwriting. There’s something about that album I was really impressed with. Did Randy’s time in prison inspired them to make better music than ever before? That’s probably it. There’s a lot of sadness and emotion in the songs and you can hear it in Randy’s singing. This album is definitely more melodic than the previous releases. It is a damn good record and will be looked at as a classic years from now.

Seriously, check out the new LOG album yourself. You won’t be disappointed at all if you like metal. LOG is an enjoyable band to listen to.

The new Lamb of God album “VII: Sturn Und Drang” was really really good, best album so far this year!

This album by Lamb of God, “VII: Sturn Un Drang” was really really good. I was really impressed and blown away by it. It is a very strong, powerful and tight album. I listened to it two times in a row earlier this morning and plan on listening to it again later tonight.

Randy Blythe is at his best with the singing and so is the rest of the band with their playng. I only heard a couple of LOG albums which are “Wrath” and “Sacrament” but I’ll give the rest of their albums a listen soon ’cause I got all their albums saved in my Apple Music library too.

Lamb of God is a really good band, I enjoy them. I saw them live in concert too when they opened for Metallica. It was a great opportunity to see LOG.

Really digging the new Janet Jackson song, “No Sleep”, not too bad at all!!!

Look like Janet is about ready to drop a new album pretty soon. She finally released a new song and it’s not that bad at all. I’m digging it really. I’ve been listening to a lot of Janet’s music on Apple Music and listened to 4 of her albums already.

Like i said before, I dig this type of music sometimes. I’m into all sorts of music even though I mostly prefer to listen to rock & metal, though.

Since when did music albums start releasing on Fridays??? Old news I know but I just noticed this…

I just figured out recently that music albums are now being released on Friday’s instead of the usual Tuesdays. Why? Simply because the industry feels that we live in a digital world and they don’t want to keep people waiting for the album to come out. I have noticed that music albums has been getting released earlier and now I just figured out why.

Why streaming music services is a good idea…

So music streaming services is gonna be the next big thing in the music industry. I think it’s a pretty good idea. Why?

Streaming services will give you the opportunity to listen to your favorite bands & artists entire catalog. I know some of you out there love some bands & artists that you support greatly and I’m sure you try to hear all of their albums as much as you can but collecting albums from your favorite band & artist their entire discography can take a long time and can be a lot of money. Especially if your favorite band & artist has a large catalog of albums. Streaming services will give you the opportunity to listen to all their work easier and quicker… and most importantly much cheaper too.

I know I used to complain about streaming services and I used to be against it but not anymore. I now think streaming music is a pretty good idea. I’ve gotten to listen to so much music through Spotify and Apple Music.

I listened to every studio albums by Opeth, Dream Theater, Joe Satriani, Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart and the Grateful Dead… thanks to streaming services.

Lately, I just started listening to Motorhead albums. I’ve also been listening to albums by Jefferson Airplane and the Pixies.

I love Jefferson Airplane and I love Grace Slick so I finally get to start listening to their records. I think their albums, “Surrealistic Pillow” and “Long John Silver” are masterpieces.

Listening to music is one of my favorite things to do. I’ve been a lifelong music lover ever since I was a little kid. The way we listen to music changes over the years for sure. Streaming services give you the opportunity to listen to albums that you always wanted to hear and stuff. There’s so much music out there that you can’t buy everything you know? I just support the music that I like. I can’t support everything although I would like to. Once again though, the way people listen to music these days is that they would only listen to single songs rather than the full album. I listen to “albums”. I like to listen to a record from start to finish. It’s just how I am, ya know?

I still got a lot more music to listen to ’cause my Apple Music library is pretty big. Streaming services is pretty awesome and I have nothing against it. Its’ also a good way to promote artists and it gets their music out there faster.

I’m listening to the Pixies album, “Bosssanova” as I type this ’cause I always dug that band.

I’m actually starting to believe that digital music is a good idea ’cause having a large collection of CD’s in your home can take up so much room, ya know? Admittedly, the Compact Disc can be pretty annoying. You can break those things easily and you can lose them too but with digital albums, you’ll have those forever.

Nicki and Taylor kissed and made up but did Nicki play the race card???

It turns out that Nicki wasn’t talking about Taylor at all which is good but Nicki is still a bit of a bitch over this whole thing.

While Nicki went on a rant that she didn’t get nominated for “Video of the Year” Nicki still played the race card, though. Nicki claimed that the industry doesn’t reward enough black female pop stars and that’s playing the race card for sure. Like usual, black people always play the race card. That’s the problem with this country. Everybody wants to play the race card and it has been that way ever since Barack Obama’s been elected in the US. You wanna disagree with Obama’s presidency, you’ll get called a racist. You don’t want to get enough blacks nominated for the Oscars, you’ll get called a racist. You don’t want to nominate enough blacks for the MTV VMA’s, you’ll get called a racist. Racist this and racist that. So Nicki is trying to imply that MTV is racist.

It doesn’t end there for Nicki, she did a lot of body shaming and women shaming in her tweets, though.

Sure enough, Nicki doesn’t get any flak for her offensive tweets but instead people “applaud” her and even Taylor applauded Nicki being the feminist that Taylor is.

So Nicki is upset that her video for “Anaconda” didn’t get nominated for “Video of The Year”? Who cares! She should focus on her career than worry about winning a award. That’s the deal with pop stars. They’re all gonna be full of huge egos and lots of delusions. That’s how the industry is these days.

Nicki Minaj vs. Taylor Swift thoughts…

This is entertaining as hell. A huge feud broke out between two pop stars: Nicki Minaj vs. Taylor Swift. What is Nicki mad about? Nicki’s upset ’cause her video “Anaconda” didn’t get nominated for “Video of the Year” and for the Best Choreography categories.

Minaj tweets: “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year.” She also tweeted, “When the ‘other’ girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination.”

And then Nicki made the claim that black women don’t get rewarded for influencing pop culture.

It seems like she was calling out Taylor Swift but not mentioning her name but Taylor was quick to respond anyway. Who’s side am I gonna take? Neither. I’m gonna stay neutral on this one. I can understand what Nicki is talking about, though ’cause MTV just keeps ramming Taylor Swift down our throats every year. It’s getting old. Taylor’s been hogging up the spotlight on award shows for a pretty long time now. Both the Grammy’s and the VMA’s.

I don’t agree with Nicki that black women don’t get rewarded for influencing pop culture ’cause that’s a load of crock. The music industry has been ramming black females in pop music such as Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson and many others down our throats for a pretty long time now. The industry have been given black women in pop music so many opportunities so I don’t know what Nicki is talking about?

Taylor’s hogging award shows so it’s gonna start to make other artists upset and all jealous. Nicki is probably just jealous nothing more. Back to Taylor Swift, ever noticed that each time Taylor releases a new album, they usually come out before award show season?

I do dig Taylor’s music myself but I do think she’s a bit egotistical and full of herself.

Anyhow, I think this feud is staged. Ya know? Fake as a way to hype up the VMA’s and get people interested in watching. A ploy for more ratings. I actually dig Nicki’s “Anaconda” btw, it’s actually not a bad pop song.

Paula Abdul should make a new album and come back to music, she still got it!!

Paula Abdul only made three albums in her career: “Forever Your Girl”, “Spellbound” and “Head Over Heels”. I’ve heard them all. Used to be a big fan of hers when I was young and still am. A blast from the past here. Even though she hasn’t been involved in the music business in many years, she still got it. She can still thrill the fans.

Wish she would come out of retirement and make a new album. Now that she’s not doing competition shows anymore, she’s got nothing to do now so who knows? We’ll have to wait and see. I’ve got Paula’s three albums saved in my Apple Music library too.

“Opposites Attract” used to be one of my favorite tunes and not ashamed to say I still like it today.

Check out this cool new band called Highly Suspect, they’re really good!

There’s this cool new rock n’ roll band who just put out their debut album, “Mister Asylum” and I listened to it two times already. I’m gonna be addicted to this album, I think.

They are kind of like the Black Keys a little bit but they are WAY better than the Black Keys. I wouldn’t compare this band to the Black Keys at all ’cause Highly Suspect has their own sound. Highly Suspect is a pretty tight band and they are recommended to check out.

The way this industry is going, you don’t see too much good new rock music anymore but sometimes you can find new rock n’ roll bands that are good. I think Highly Suspect is a great band and they are worth checking out.
