Report: Is the WWE failing in ratings?

This guy wrote this interesting article on if the WWE is failing as a business ’cause of low ratings. I agree with his article totally. Just because WWE TV ratings are low, doesn’t mean the business is coming to an end. The WWE is a powerful company. This company will be on our planet forever. Like WWE or not.

Whenever it’s Vince McMahon’s time to die in real life, I’m not saying he will, but what if down the road, there will be other people in the wrestling business to take his spot as chairman to keep WWE alive. Like his kids Stephanie and Shane McMahon can take over ownership. Maybe Jim Ross or Triple H, those two guys know about the wrestling business more than anyone. There will always be people taking over if Vince McMahon happens to retire or dies, it doesn’t matter. Vince McMahon will never retire from WWE, he’ll be chairman ’til the day he dies, trust me on this. 🙂

Reasons I think WWE is low in the ratings:

-last year’s Chris Benoit murder controversy

-No Stone Cold, No Rock, No Hulk Hogan

-Storylines getting lame and stupid

-Not enough wrestling

I can think of a lot of reasons but those are the big ones I can thnk of at the top of my head. Basically, no one really cares for WWE anymore except the only people left are mostly the longtime fans who still enjoy watching it like myself.

Thought: The Hulkster feeling up daughters ass… is it incest or nothing wrong with it?

So the Hulkster has been caught rubbing his own daughter’s ass by a paparrazi shot while Brooke and one of her girlfriends were relaxing in the sun after a day of swimming the Hogan family’s pool. After Brooke got out and layed down, Hulk decided to rub sun tan lotion all over Brooke’s body, including her ass. It seems Brooke didn’t mind and seems she’s enjoying it.

So is it incest you may ask? Hogan is being blamed for incest of this. I don’t think it’s incest in Hogan’s defense. Incest is actually having sex with someone in the family of the same blood, it ain’t like Hogan did that. Hogan didn’t do that to his own daughter, he just put suntan lotion on that was it.

Brooke is in legal of age and it’s her choice if she wants to press charges on Hogan for “sexual” and forcible touching. I find nothing perverted about all this. If he/she don’t feel comfortable putting sun tan lotion by someone not in the family, why not have a family member do it?

People attacking Hulk Hogan over this photo needs to grow up and use common sense. Do you think Hulk cares if people attack him for this photo? No. He has more important things to worry about like dealing with Nick Hogan’s problems and his divorce with Linda.

So my opinion of choice for the title of this topic, is no, I don’t think there is nothing wrong here.

BREAKING NEWS: Triple H is now the 12th time WWE Champion…Backlash PPV review…

After at least 2 long years of WWE superstar Triple H haven’t had the WWE Championship, he now finally got it back. I just got done watching “Backlash” the WWE ppv and it was actually pretty good, and I was expecting a real snooze fest but every match was actually entertaining. The main event which was a Fatal 4 Way – Triple H vs. Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. JBL. Randy Orton was the champ but not anymore. I loved how the audience cheered Randy Orton for eliminating John Cena out of the match. Randy Orton is a bad guy but the audience cheered for Orton just for eliminating Cena out of the match ’cause everyone hates Cena even Cena is playing a good guy. After Cena is out of the match, the audience went back to booing Orton. The main event was one of the better WWE main events in a long time. The true Triple H is finally back of how he was in early 2000. I do like Randy Orton, he is a talented performer but it’s time to give someone else the belt. Orton had it for too long.

It was a pretty good ppv. I liked most of the matches except for Big Show vs. the Great Khali. The audience during that match was chanting “Boring, boring, boring”. Meaning the audience was bored in the match.

You see, with the audience in WWE, they are honest. They’ve been booing the good guys and cheering the bad guys lately. Why? Because the audience knows what good and what’s bad in the WWE, they know what sucks.

The best match of the night was the main event WWE Championship match. You will see Triple H with the belt on tomorrow’s RAW. It’s great to finally see Triple H with the belt back. It’s been a long time coming!

Report: Three hour RAW special did nothing for ratings…ouch!!!

While the three presidential candidates addressing to the WWE fans got big media coverage, that still didn’t help the ratings for last Monday’s 3 hour RAW King of the Ring/Presidential special. That Monday’s RAW scored 3.0 ratings overall.

More on it here:

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/wrestling/blog/2008/04/good_news_bad_news_for_wwe.html

Guess no one cared for King of the Ring being back and everybody already predicted they were going to bring in fake impersonators for Hillrod and the Barack.

WWE is failing in the ratings because it’s not what it used to be in the Attitude days during the 90’s when Stone Cold and the Rock were around.

I also think John Cena hogging up too much TV time is another reason for WWE ratings going down.

Bring back Stone Cold Steve Austin full time (rumour has it, he is coming back full time) and the ratings would sure sky rocket high.

Cool Video: Hillrod vs. the Barack…

From last night’s RAW, this was so boring and stupid, I’m glad Umaga came and saved the day. The audience wasn’t liking this either as you can see. I was surprised the audience cheered for Umaga.

The Bill Clinton impersonator was the only good thing about this match, fake Bill was hilarious.

Question about Barack Obama, is he Samoan? Is that why he is so much like the Rock and why Umaga came after him?

Report: William Regal crowned as King of the Ring…

After a long hiatus, the King of the Ring is back. And a new King has been crowned on last night’s RAW three hour special. William Regal, the current RAW general manager is now King of the WWE.

I assume that the WWE canned “King of the Ring” because of low buy rates of the ppvs.

Last night’s RAW was pretty good, William Regal wrestled well and he was actually entertaining in the ring. What does this mean now?

Does this mean no RAW GM for Regal? Will there be a replacement?

If there is going to be a RAW GM replacement since Regal maybe wrestling full time, I would say bring Eric Bischoff back. I miss that guy.

Cool Video: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, all to debate on RAW tonight…

Look like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton really will be there in person at tonight’s RAW ’cause they just announced they will be there in this video below. They won’t be alone though, John McCain will be there at RAW tonight too, you can see McCain doing a funny Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan impersonation which he does a good job at, lol.

Tonight’s RAW shall be interesting, and you just know that Mr. McMahon will be in the middle of this whole thing, lmaof! It ought to be entertaining!

Kev

Edit to add: Obama, Clinton and McCain will not be at RAW live in person but they will debate in a videotaped segment as you just saw here, but who knows, maybe the three will actually make a live appearance in the ring, we’ll just have to wait ’til 8:00 p.m. tonight because RAW is a special three hour show.

Cool Video: Barack vs. Hillary in a WWE ring…

To hype up the match with Barack vs. Hillary on RAW this coming Monday, WWE made a video in youtube where they do a “create a character” in the Raw vs. Smackdown 2008 videogame.

Think Barack and Hillary will actually have a match or will the WWE bring in fakes?

We’ll have to tune into RAW this Monday April 21st to find out if Barack and Hillary will actually be there live in person.

By the way, I think it be better if Barack got the Rock’s entrance theme song instead of Batista’s.

Report: WWE invites Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to RAW April 21st…

The World Wrestling Entertainment invited Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to the special 3 hour RAW episode April 21st to settle their differences in the wrestling ring. My guess is that WWE is inviting them to do their presidential debates in the ring, not have an actual wrestling match. It’s no surprise to me that WWE would pick up on their feud because WWE likes that kind of stuff.

I’m sure Barack and Hillary would be there. Somehow Vince McMahon will be involved by interupting their speeches, I’ll imagine that Vince McMahon will come out saying stuff like, “I’m Vincent Kennedy McMahon dammit, I’m the one that should be president of the United States, not these two phonies.”

Maybe Hillary and Barack will be involved in a match but they obviously won’t be wrestling, they’ll probably be at ringside by a wrestler. Just like at last year’s Wrestlemania with Vince vs. Donald.

The WWE will do anything to raise ratings.

Kev

Thank you Ric…WOOoooooo…

I guess Ric Flair really is retiring from WWE in real life. On last night’s RAW the WWE did a special farewell tribute to him. Flair is really retiring, the storyline with “McMahon forcing Flair to retire with this career threatening matches” is just an angle to head to Wrestlemania for his final match.

Every single wrestler on the RAW brand celebrated Flair’s 36 year career in the wrestling business. Flair even reunited with the original 4 Horsemen members on last night’s RAW, he reunited with other former wrestlers he wrestled in the past like Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Harley Race, Greg the Hammer Valentine, etc. were all on RAW last night.

On RAW last night, every superstar got out of character and got out of storylines to pay respects to Ric Flair. Even the Undertaker and Vince McMahon went out to pay respects as RAW got off the air. Even Randy Orton the Champ who seems to have a hatred for Flair on TV was out there paying respects to him with a smile on his face and Orton was known as a “legend Killer”.

The thing is with the WWE all these performers support and love each other like family even though they pretend to be enemies on TV. It’s just a show, and entertainment, everyone knows that.

Notice that I never post wrestling news from the “smart” fans sites, you know, sites like 1wrestling, wrestlingobserver, pwinsider, etc. I don’t pay attention to those wrestling news sites ’cause most of them are rumours and fake news anyway. I find it sad how all these so called “smart” fans in the wrestling forums actually believe these news are true. You know stuff like backstage politics, wrestlers not getting along well in real life, etc. Those wrestling sites don’t know shit what goes on backstage. I only post wrestling news if it lands all over national media, something that’s more true and official.

Anyhow, back to Ric Flair, he’s been a favorite of mine my entire life. I witnessed him win the WWE Champ at the Royal Rumble 1992 at the arena formerly known the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany. Yes I was there live in person and I was a young kid back then. I will never forgot that moment.

But with Ric Flair retiring, I don’t see him retiring for good. Maybe he’s just quitting wrestling in the ring. I’m sure he’ll make occasional appearances. Flair will be back, they always come back. They did the same thing with Mick Foley during his so called “retirement”.

I see Ric Flair being moved to the Smackdown brand ’cause they still have his profile on the Smackdown superstars page.

The only thing I’m dissapointed in is that the WWE never let Flair become the 17 time Champion before retirement during his WWE run.

Thank you Ric!
