I’m so happy I didn’t pay $70.00 to watch Wrestlemania last night! Glad I skipped it this year!

I didn’t watch last night’s Wrestlemania but I was reading all the results as it was being posted in facebook, twitter, live blog feeds, etc. As expected the card for Wrestlemania this year was going to be very very predictable. You knew who was going to win every match and what was going to happen. I knew that Triple H would win against Brock Lesnar, I knew the Undertaker would win against CM Punk, and I knew John Cena was going to walk out with the belt last night. *Yawn*. I read the full results and sounded like it wasn’t a very good, Wrestlemania. I’m really starting to dislike WWE and the way it’s headed. Wrestling is not wrestling anymore. It changed over the years. That goes for TNA too. The whole wrestling industry is no longer the same anymore in general. Wrestling used to be great in the 80’s and the 90’s, but it’s so different today. Therefor, wrestling is dying.

It’s going to be interesting to see what the buy rates results will be from last night. I bet a lot more people stopped watching Wrestlemania this year too, ’cause of the price raise. Will WWE bring the price back down for next year once they learn that a lot of people stopped watching? Hopefully, but I doubt it!

Anyway, I watched, “Game of Thrones”, and the new “Vikings” episode last night instead, which were way better than, Wrestlemania. “Game of Thrones” and “Vikings” are both getting intense and both episodes were pretty EPIC. I’ve been watching a lot of season 2 of “GOT”. “Game of Thrones” the books & the show are both so good ’cause George’s stories are pretty addicting. George R. R. Martin can tell stories like no one else. “Game of Thrones” whether the books or the TV shows are so amazing. I love them so much.

It’s official… I’m not watching Wrestlemania 29 this year…

For the first time in a long time, I’m not watching Wrestlemania this Sunday night. Why? For a few reasons.  First of all, the WWE raised the price for Wrestlemania this year. They raised it up $60 standard, and $70 HD. Secondly, the card this year is crap. It’s like the same repeat of Wrestlemania. WWE can’t come up with new material. It’s always John Cena headlining the main event and taking the title, every year, and it’ll be the same this year. Cena becoming champ. Who would want to pay $70 for that?

There are a few matches, I want to see on WM-29, however like: Undertaker vs. CM Punk, Brock Lesnar vs. HHH, and Mark Henry vs. Ryback. Those would probably be the good matches. Other than that, the rest of the card is garbage this year.

I’m fed up with WWE. They are not the same anymore. Wrestling is dying, and it has changed over the years. I still love and respect, all the performers, I just want a better product, ya know?   Bring back the good wrestling we all want to see, not all that soap opera garbage.

I still have a love for professional wrestling, though. I always will be a fan. I just hate how wrestling is today. TNA Impact, is even having problems. I stopped watching TNA, ever since Hogan joined. Back to WWE, I’ll still have a lot of love for old school 80’s wrestling, and the Attitude Era in the 90’s. That’s where the great wrestling was at. It’s not like that anymore today. The business is horrible the way it is.

On Sunday, I will be following up on WM-29 during the live results, to see who wins and all. I’m gonna be watching, “Game of Thrones”, and, “Vikings”, this Sunday night instead. Glad “Game of Thrones” finally came back. Now that “Walking Dead” is gone, good TV will continue with GOT.

Back to WM-29, I’ll still watch it though. I’ll just wait for the DVD release.

Finally, we get a John Cena-less RAW show last night…

Oh man, am I seeing my eyes correctly? There was no John Cena appearance on RAW last night at all!!! I’m sure he was there and backstage at the show, he just wasn’t used for WWE TV for some reason. Probably, because WWE was afraid that Cena might overshadow Paul Bearer’s night. I read that John Cena did appear on RAW, after the show went off the air, though, just to make the fans happy. Last night was proof that WWE can do good without John Cena being around. Last night’s RAW was actually a very good show, all the way through.

Last night’s opening segment, is going to be looked at as a classic years from now. Undertaker goes out to the ring to give a tribute to Paul Bearer, and of course, CM Punk interrupts to offer his condolences to his Wrestlemania streak, instead of Paul Bearer. It may have been harsh and disrespectful to get CM Punk involved in the Paul Bearer tribute, but truthfully, that’s what Paul Bearer himself would have wanted. Will Moody (Paul Bearer’s real name) would have wanted WWE to use his death in storylines. So they were doing that stuff in honor of him. Plus, it was to help give CM Punk even more heel heat and it worked. As long as Punk is pissing a lot of people off at the live shows and online, he did his job. That’s what heels are supposed to do. They’re supposed to anger and upset people, and Punk is the best at that.

I also loved the Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar segment too. There was a lot of heel heat in that. I’m also glad to see the Bella Twins back. While I hate most of today’s wrestling divas, I actually enjoy the Bella Twins. The Bella Twins have been gone for a long while. I wasn’t into this Fandango gimmick at first, but that guy grew on me. Fandango is a pretty funny character, and I’m looking forward to seeing what WWE is gonna do that character.

While RAW was a pretty good show last night, most importantly, it was all about the loss of Paul Bearer. Only thing I’m disappointed in that the crowd were terrible when it came to Paul Bearer. It seems kids in today’s generation no longer knows who the legends from the 80’s are anymore. The longtime wrestling fans like me, would know who these old guys are, but kids today would be confused. Undertaker got more of a cheer, than Paul Bearer did. I mean fuck, man. Paul Bearer wasn’t even a trending topic at all on twitter last night, and WWE tried their best to make the hashtag #PaulBearer, a trending topic but they failed.

My only negative of last night’s show of what they were doing with Kane. I was expecting Kane to be the monster, after Paul Bearer’s death. Kane return the scary monster as a way of mourning, Paul Bearer. He was the scary monster for a while, but until the end of the show, they did this stupid segment where Kane was stalking Halle Berry on the phone. I hate what WWE is doing with Kane. Turning him into a funny comedian ’cause of the PG rating, when Kane should be looked at as a scary monster. They should have never put the mask back on Kane. I thought he was better with it off.

Last night’s RAW was decent. See? They don’t need John Cena around, they can do fine without him. That was the surprise of the night, not seeing John Cena on TV.

I just made Rowdy Roddy Piper laugh, check it out…

Wrestling legend Rowdy Roddy Piper, announced that he is in Hollywood for something and he put up a joke that if anyone takes a pic of him getting in trouble, he would pay them a 100 dollars. I replied back saying that if he got in trouble in Hollywood, it would land on TMZ before anyone else got to it. He replied back saying what I said was real funny.

Check out our short conversation on twitter, here.

That is really Roddy’s account ’cause it’s verified and that page is posted to his official site, so it can prove it’s really him.

This is why twitter rules folks. It’s the celebrities and famous people that keep it addicting. I’ll have more on twitter soon.

Last night’s RAW: Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar

Last night’s RAW opened up with a Vince McMahon vs. Paul Heyman fight. Vince stood out in the ring with crutches and Paul Heyman came out with his fight gear on. Paul Heyman, talked on the mic for a while as he made his way to the ring, and when he got in, immediately, he started beating McMahon with one of his crutches. Of course, Brock Lesnar comes out to the ring to save the day for Paul Heyman. As Lesnar entered the ring and started to go after McMahon, Triple H’s music hits with Lemmy Kilmister’s voice blaring over the speakers, “Tiiiimmme to play the gggaammmeee…”. Of course, the crowd goes nuts as soon as Triple H’s music hits. Triple H comes walking out slowly to the music with his usual water bottle, and he is sporting a new buzz cut hair do. Suddenly Triple H starts running after Lesnar to the ring, and it was an all out brawl between the two. Triple H left Lesnar in a bloody mess. Yes, Lesnar was covered with blood.

Sometimes people want to believe the blood in wrestling is fake, but it’s not. Blood in wrestling is real. How do the performers get away with it? How do they fake it? Well, they usually hide a small blade, and they’re usually good at cutting themselves on purpose so people won’t notice.

After that segment got over with, the internet blew up with the entire wrestling community of fans giving that segment positive feedback. I agree. I thought that was the best thing RAW did in years. That’s wrestling right there, folks. That’s the kind of wrestling everyone wants to see. If WWE brings that stuff back, get rid of the PG era, WWE would get good again. RAW has been nothing but shit for the past several years or more, and finally, they did something that was actually wrestling. It was an incredible segment. I LOVED it too.

I used to never want to see Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania again, but after seeing what they did on RAW last night, now I’m officially sold to Triple H vs. Lesnar II. This is the stuff wrestling fans want to see, not the kiddie stuff. We want to see hardcore violence and blood. We don’t get much of that anymore. Since that segment got a lot of great feedback from the fans, hopefully, the WWE will listen to us and we may soon see the PG era gone. Hopefully. Cross our fingers.

That segment felt like a Wrestlemania moment to me.

As for the rest of last night’s RAW in Dallas, TX. goes, it was a mediocre show like usual, but the opening segment Triple H vs. Lesnar, was phenomenal.

This is part of the reason why WWE needs Brock Lesnar, ’cause it seems that Lesnar is the only superstar who has what it takes to make WWE interesting again. Hopefully Triple H vs. Lesnar at ‘Mania this year, will be just as bloody and gruesome, would be awesome. It can’t be PG when Brock Lesnar is around, think about it!

Cool Video: Jake the Snake and Scott Hall reunion…

I think it is amazing to see Scott Hall smiling, being happy and acting so positive. Even though Scott has gained a lot of weight over the years (which drugs & alcohol can do to you), he’s still looking good. Scott used to never be like this either. In the past, Scott was always short tempered and had plenty of issues.

If Scott keeps it up, I’d like to see him return to WWE for a short run, would be kinda cool. He probably won’t be able to wrestle anymore but he can still come back as a performer, if he wanted.

Cool Photo: Scott Hall shows up at the airport to meet DDP and Jake Roberts!!!

ScottHall

Well, looks like Scott has accepted DDP and Jake Roberts invitation to the, Accountability Crib. It’s sad to see Scott sitting on a wheel chair but that’s what drugs and alcohol addiction will do to you. Scott is still looking good, though! Hope DDP will do a good job in getting Scott clean and sober.

I’ll be on the look out for the videos, when they get them up.

No Vince, you don’t make people smile with your WWE shows…

I was watching the WWE press conference when they made their so called huge announcement live on the internet, when it was said that the WWE is going to have Wrestlemania 30 at the Dome in New Orleans, and Vince was saying that the only goal with WWE that they want to put smiles on people’s faces everyday, and globally. I just laughed when Vince said that. Why? Because it isn’t true. Vince doesn’t make people smile with WWE shows. Who does the smiling when it comes to WWE? Yes, that’s right. No one other than Vince McMahon, himself. He’s all about making himself smile. All he cares about is making money. He doesn’t care about the WWE fans as he claims. He’s all about doing the things that makes him happy.

Evidence of that. Dropping the TV-14 rating and going PG. Getting rid of great wrestling. Ditching hardcore wrestling. Shoving John Cena in our faces for the past 10 years. Bad writing in storylines. Trying to take the wrestling part out of the WWE. Need I go on? He can bring back the Attitude Era, turn John Cena heel, bring back hardcore wrestling and all that stuff anytime he wants to. He won’t ’cause he knows that the family friendly part of wrestling and John Cena is what helps Vince make the money.

I’ve been so turned off by WWE for the past several years now. I gave up watching WWE ppvs and I’m thinking about bailing out of Wrestlemania 29 this year. Not sure if I’ll watch it ’cause everyone knows Cena will take the belt from the Rock, anyways. I don’t really want to see Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar again either, that match isn’t confirmed yet, but will be soon.

With that being said, the WWE just sucks currently. Ratings are bad, and I don’t like all the current gimmicks. Wrestling is not the same anymore.

As far as TNA Impact goes, they are an alright company, but the only reason they are getting bigger and more successful is ’cause of Hulk Hogan. That’s why TNA hired Hogan ’cause they know he would take their company to the next level. TNA is traveling the world now with their live TV shows. I can’t stand Hulk Hogan either. Wish is why I gave up on TNA Impact. Maybe I’ll start watching again if Hogan will ever leave though.

Back to WWE, if they are going to have Wrestlemania 30 in New Orleans, they better make that card a good one. John Cena, will obviously headline that WM like he usually does every year (*rolls eyes*), but I hope they pick Cena a different opponent for WM-30. I certainly don’t want Cena vs. The Rock III. If they want to make Wrestlemania 30 a historic one, they better have dream matches that people want to see like Stone Cold vs. Hogan, Lesnar vs. Undertaker, and matches such as those. Will they? Nope. They will come up with stupid matches, whatever makes Vince the money.

That’s how much of a greedy businessman Vince is. He’s an egomaniac in real life and only cares for himself. I’m fed up with WWE. Have been for a long time. I still respect the performers and wrestlers, they are great. I’m just knocking the company’s creative direction.

WWE to make major announcement Monday…

WWE.com reported this weekend, that they will make a major announcement for the company this coming Monday at noon. They will hold a live press conference, featuring Vince McMahon, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, The Rock and John Cena.

It is being speculated that the location for Wrestlemania 30 will be in New Orleans will be announced, or the WWE Network (the 24 hr. wrestling channel for cable TV) will be confirmed, or the announcement could be both.

While it would be cool if the announcement will be that they will finally drop the PG rating and return to TV-14, that’s probably not gonna be it. Like they always say, anything is possible in the WWE, so ya never know.

Maybe the announcement could even be another Hall of Fame induction too? If Scott Hall is going to make the Hall of Fame finally, that would be worthy of a press conference announcement, instead of announcing it on RAW.

Read, the report, here.

Cool Video: Jake the Snake and Diamond Dallas Page call Scott Hall on the phone…

Wrestling legends Jake the Snake Roberts and Diamond Dallas Page are seen here calling, their old wrestling friend, Scott Hall, trying to talk him into going over to visit them and join them for DDP’s “Accountability Crib”, which I believe is a program where DDP helps wrestlers get clean and sober. They haven’t seen each other in a long time and they want to reunite. If you don’t know who Scott Hall is, he is a former WWE star, used to go under the name of Razor Ramone and he was one of the original founders of the nWo group.

Over the years, Scott has had problems with drugs and alcohol addiction, and you can tell by the way he is talking over the phone.

No matter what you think of Scott Hall, the man is a wrestling legend, and he has had a successful wrestling career. He had many classic wrestling matches. He was a great mic worker and he was a phenomenal wrestler. The man’s got a lot of problems now and it’s amazing to me that he’s still alive.

I think Scott is Hall of Fame worthy, so hopefully WWE inducts him this year too, if not, there’s always next year. Scott has been one of my favorite performers for years, though. It’s a shame how he is now.

Will Jake and Dallas actually reunite with Scott? The video says stay tuned, so it’s a possibility. Can’t wait for the next video.
