AEW will be another failure, WWE will always be king…

It may seem like AEW is a pretty hot wrestling promotion for right now but make no mistake about it… their popularity will die down sometime soon and they will just be another wrestling business going out of business. Kind of like what happened to WCW and ECW. When WCW and ECW started out, they started off pretty hot in the beginning but people stopped caring later on. I predict the same will happen to AEW. Go out of business like all the others. TNA Impact is still around but even they failed as a wrestling company due to different owner changes.

When AEW first started, I’ve been liking them for a little while… I’ve been with them at the start but then bailed and stopped watching. Why? I don’t know… it seems to me that AEW is trying to rip off WWE of what WWE did in the 90’s during the Attitude Era. I’m also amazed at how all these former WWE personalities that are in AEW now, talking so much negative shit about WWE and Vince. It’s like what? So many people claim there is no WWE vs. AEW war but that’s not what I’m seeing. AEW’s attacks and shots at WWE just won’t stop and they just continue. While most former WWE personalities are in AEW talking shit about WWE and Vince, there is one former WWE star that has nothing but positive things to say about WWE and Vince… that guy is none other than Aleister Black who is now Malakai Black in AEW. The split with WWE and Aleister Black was amicable, there’s no bad blood at all. I think Aleister was released due to the pandemic?

Anyhow, like with the title of this topic says, yes, “WWE will always be king”. Yes, it is true. There can be other wrestling promotions but they will never overtake WWE. WWE is a monster and a very powerful company. Yes, the WWE’s ratings may be way down as of this point but WWE is a giant. AEW is here ’cause of WWE, whether you want to admit it or not. Tony Khan the owner of AEW admits he is a fan of WWE himself and many former WWE guys working for his company.

I stopped watching AEW ’cause even they can get pretty bad with the storylines and matches, they are no better… and the music themes for their stars are pretty awful.

Anyhow, WWE maybe struggling in the ratings and all but they’ll figure out a way to get back on top again. I continue to support and watch WWE ’cause I like them better to be honest.

Wrestling fans wanna whine, cry and bitch about how awful WWE is but they continue to watch anyways. I continue to watch ’cause I enjoy it. People complain about how WWE isn’t wrestling anymore which is a load of bull. Yes wrestling is still around and WWE still puts on good matches here and there. I continue to watch WWE ’cause I respect all the performers, I respect what they all do. I respect Vince too ’cause he’s the one that gave us wrestling in the mainstream. I’ll admit that I’m not too thrilled of his booking and writing like most but Vince is a genius and a legend.

I just like enjoying wrestling. I’m not the one that will whine and cry everything about it. Wrestling is just a show and I think a lot of people take it way too serious. Just wanted to give out my thoughts on everything going on in the wrestling industry lately. It’s all crazy.

Watched AEW “Revolution” ppv last night, it was really good… enjoyed every match…

Ya know, I’ve been watching AEW wrestling ever since they started… their very first show was “Double or Nothing” which took place inn May of 2019. I’ve watched every AEW ppv ever since and since AEW been doing their Wednesday night TV shows “Dynamite”, I haven’t missed a single episode of that either. AEW is good stuff, I really respect and admire what they’re doing. When it comes to wrestling wars between two companies: AEW and WWE, I’m not on one side to tell you the truth. I love both companies and will continue to support both simply because I love professional wrestling. Just love watching it.

I’m not gonna lie, though, that AEW is definitely way better than WWE. AEW gives us things that WWE don’t do anymore  and AEW gives us good wrestling which is what WWE has been missing for many years. That’s why fans watch these shows ’cause they want to see good wrestling.

AEW “Revolution” had a good card, great booking but I would say the best matches of that night were Kenny Omega/Adam Page vs. The Young Bucks- AEW Tag Team Championship match, Cody Rhodes vs. MJF and of course, Jericho vs. Moxley for the AEW Championship.

I’m usually never surprised at championship matches when it comes to wrestling ’cause they’re usually pretty predictable. I kept predicting that Jericho was gonna win and retain the AEW championship but when Jericho lost the title to Moxley, that one actually shocked the hell out of me. Jericho had the title for a long while now and I didn’t think he would drop it this early.

The Cody vs. MJF feud is getting interesting. I never liked Cody Rhodes (who is the real life son of wrestling legend Dustry Rhodes) at first but I think I’m a huge fan of Cody now. I’m realizing now that Cody is one talented guy.

Even though Nyla Rose is the first transgender woman in wrestling, I thought she had a great wrestling match against Kris Statlander. That was some great wrestling. There are a lot of complaints of Nyla being the champ since she’s transgender but ya know, you can’t help but think that she’s a great wrestler and a great talent. I’m not gonna lie that I don’t like the transgender lifestyle but Nyla Rose is an interesting talent, anyway.

AEW getting better and better with their live shows. They had a lot of problems in the beginning but as time goes along, they keep improving and improving. I thought “Revolution” was one of their best shows and entertaining as hell. Definitely different than what WWE is doing . AEW is a great company and I hope they stick around for years and years. Hopefully they don’t ever go defunct like WCW and TNA-Impact did. It’s pretty likely that AEW will be around for a long long time ’cause they’re doing well and getting success quickly. They are beating WWE in the ratings right now and they continue to do so.

Congrats to Tony Khan on a job well done. That man definitely knows what he’s doing running a wrestling business and hope he keeps up the great work.

Thoughts on the wrestling industry so far: Which company do I think is better… WWE or AEW???

Well, the competition between WWE and AEW is really heating up. I’ve been a lifelong WWE fan for years and still am even to this day. Now that there is a new wrestling company out there called All Elite Wrestling (AEW) which I’ve been watching since their very first ppv called “Double Or Nothing”. Now AEW is on television and they have their own TV show on Wednesday nights titled “Dynamite” which lands on the same night as NXT on USA. Both of those shows are on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m.

The WWE has been sucking a lot lately and now that AEW is here, this has forced WWE to try and get better. You can see that the WWE is trying to improve ’cause they brought in Paul Heyman to run RAW and Eric Bischoff to run Friday Night Smackdown on FOX. Both of those shows are trying to improve but both shows are going downhill and getting bad again. WWE is trying to improve but they can’t.

What is the difference between WWE and AEW? There is a big difference:

WWE: This company is all family-entertainment. They are still in the PG era and the WWE treats their fans like they “marks”. The wrestling term “marks” means fans that think wrestling is real and Vince treats their fans that way. The thing that is missing in WWE is that they don’t focus on true wrestling anymore but mostly focus on “storyline” and soap opera stuff. Vince and the WWE likes to hold their fan favorite superstars down while part timers like Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey getting all the spotlight. They also love to ram Roman Reigns down our throats.

AEW: This company focuses on the actual “wrestling” part of things. They don’t treat their fans like marks and this company actually treats their fans like real “fans” which is a breath of fresh air. This company calls their performers “wrestlers” and not “superstars”. This company brings back “good” wrestling which WWE ignores… good wrestling meaning matches that tell a story and being theatrical like which WWE doesn’t have anymore. AEW brings all that back. AEW does things WWE doesn’t do anymore like hardcore wrestling, chair shots to the head, lots of blood and all that stuff.

With all this being said, you wonder which company I think is better? I’m gonna have to say AEW for sure. AEW makes me excited for pro wrestling lately ’cause I’m with most wrestling fans that WWE has been sucking a lot lately and they aren’t getting any better either.

When it comes to WWE sucking, I don’t blame the performers ’cause they are just doing their job… I blame Vince for sure. Vince is a great business owner and promoter but creatively, he is downright horrible. It’s a shame ’cause WWE used to be really good in the 80’s and 90’s.

AEW is awesome ’cause they have a talent in the roster that actually has character like Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Adam Hangman Page,  PAC, etc. All those guys are fucking awesome and AEW has a cool women’s division too.

WWE has so many superstars that don’t have any character anymore except for the new Bray Wyatt gimmick aka The Fiend which is why I keep watching the WWE. The Fiend is a cool character and each time the Fiend is on, I watch. The new Bray Wyatt gimmick is captivating stuff for sure.

While I think what AEW is doing is pretty amazing stuff, they still need to improve, though. I think their sound system in arenas is horrible. They need to improve the sound system for the wrestler theme songs and they need to improve the P.A. for when wrestlers give their promos in the ring too. Their TV production is kind of horrible too. I understand AEW is a new company and they got a lot to learn still but they’ll get better with that stuff as time goes along.

With that being said, I think AEW is an amazing company and I love what they’re doing as I think I will be a full time AEW fan, but the question you have to ask is this… “Will I give up WWE?”. No… probably not. I’ll continue to support WWE and will continue to be a WWE fan. I can’t give up WWE so I’ll support both WWE and AEW as I have been watching both.

I’m just a fan of pro wrestling as I love it so much, ya know? AEW is awesome. You should check them out on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on TNT if you’re curious. They’re doing a good job.

Kev

I’m thinking of taking another long break from WWE… probably gonna… they aren’t getting better…

Ya know, now that AEW wrestling is finally here, I’m definitely thinking of ditching WWE for AEW. Well, I’m going to ditch WWE for a little while at least. I take long breaks from watching WWE every now and then and I may just do that starting next week. There is a WWE PPV on the WWE Network called “Stomping Grounds” and I don’t know if I’m gonna watch it. Even though I’ll probably take a long break from WWE again, that doesn’t mean I’m quitting the WWE Network streaming service ’cause I need to keep that ’cause it has a lot of old-school wrestling on there.

WWE isn’t getting better. Their shows RAW and SD keeps sucking week after week and both shows are getting worse too. Like everyone else, I’m fed up with how WWE is getting and I can’t really take it anymore really. We are all fed up with Vince and the WWE creative/booking.

We all definitely believe that Vince is out of touch of what we want and he doesn’t get it yet. We want to see good wrestling back but he keeps giving us storylines and wrestlers cutting promos than wrestling. That’s why the wrestling world has jumped shipped to AEW ’cause they give us wrestling… think about why AEW is exploding and WWE is tanking.

I’m probably gonna end up being a full-time AEW fan ’cause I admire what they’re doing. AEW on TNT Network won’t start airing until the Fall ’cause I keep hearing that they are planning on doing a weekly two hour show. They won’t be doing three hour weekly shows thankfully.

It’s a shame to see WWE doing so horribly ’cause I’m a long time fan and I’m probably gonna give up on them again. Each week when I try to watch RAW, I fall asleep through like half the show and I miss the end but that’s okay. I don’t miss anything ’cause RAW endings every week have been so horrible. RAW’s been a sleep fest.

That’s WWE, though. Sometimes they get really good and sometimes they get really bad. I want to see “wrestling” like everyone else. Yeah, we all know wrestling is “fake” but they are still great at what they do. There’s a lot of talented people in the business. I don’t blame the performers for a bad product in WWE ’cause they are being paid to perform. Vince is the problem and everyone knows it. Even the superstars know that Vince is the problem, that’s why you see a lot of them leaving WWE nowadays. I don’t like the way WWE is going myself.

WWE better step their game up now that AEW is here. AEW could easily become bigger than WWE and they already are getting bigger. AEW is an awesome company and I’m gonna be keeping an eye of what they’re doing.

Kev

Will AEW take WWE out of business??? No… WWE isn’t going anywhere but AEW will definitely change WWE, though…

I’ve been visiting fan sites of AEW groups in facebook to see what they have to say about the wrestling industry. I’m seeing that a lot of people think AEW will put WWE out of business soon simply because they believe that AEW will get so big that WWE will have no audience left. You see, this is where I disagree. The WWE maybe low in the ratings right now but they will ALWAYS be a very powerful company. The WWE is so powerful and rich, they’ll be around forever. It’s going to be hard to take them out of business.

While I don’t see the WWE going away, I can see AEW helping them, though. Maybe one day WWE will wake up and give what the fans want after they see what AEW do? I wouldn’t be surprised that WWE will give us more wrestling after the AEW ppv “Double or Nothing”.

There is no doubt that this is going be a huge ratings war between AEW and WWE but WWE will never go away. Even if AEW is finally here, that still doesn’t mean I’m giving up on WWE ’cause I’ll still support both companies. I love wrestling, ya know? While it’s interesting that a lot of fans believe that WWE will be gone soon, it’s not gonna happen. Like I said above, I think AEW will try to help improve WWE’s product.

AEW exploded ’cause everyone wants to see wrestling which WWE don’t give us anymore. Maybe they will now, ya know?

Also, a lot of people mistakenly believe that AEW is just for the indies. Ya know, stuff like NJPW, ROH and things like that. Um, no. AEW maybe full of independent talent but AEW is a world wide and a big national promotion. They are a pretty huge company, they are pretty much the next WCW. AEW will have many former WWE guys on the roster and many former WCW guys. AEW will sign any talent from any other wrestling company. Their first WCW/WWE guy was Chris Jericho and then Jon Moxley (formerly known as Dean Ambrose) made his debut at “Double or Nothing”. I think there will be many more WCW and WWE guys on their way to AEW.

Competition is always cool, though. I’m a huge fan of AEW and I love what they’re doing. What they’re doing is pretty ballsy. They’re giving us wrestling like no other company would. We haven’t seen wrestling in a long long time. There was wrestling in the early 80’s and early 90’s but pro wrestling stopped in 2000’s years and it was all sports entertainment. We don’t want sports entertainment, we want wrestling. That’s what we watch these shows for but Vince doesn’t get it yet. Maybe he’ll get it now that AEW is here? Who knows!

Review of AEW “Double Or Nothing”… their very first ppv… overall it was an excellent show, I was impressed!!!

So last night on ppv, I watched the very first AEW ppv called “Double or Nothing” which took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. That’s the venue where a lot of UFC ppv’s were held at.

For a long while now as you all know, AEW is a new wrestling company that just got put in business and their very first ppv, “Double or Nothing” has been creating a lot of buzz in the wrestling world. I couldn’t resist this one and had to see it for myself. I just wanted to see how different they do things and yes, they are way different than other wrestling companies out there.

“Double Or Nothing” really was worth the $50 ’cause I thought the show was fucking awesome all the way through. I wasn’t bored one bit. It was phenomenal and everybody put on a great show. If you didn’t watch it then you really missed out ’cause if you love “professional wrestling”, you’ll see exactly that. AEW is exploding in the wrestling scene ’cause WWE stopped giving us wrestling years ago. WWE calls their brand “sports entertainment” and it’s more family friendly. AEW is more suitable for people that are older.

AEW wrestling really is a breath of fresh air. They gave us true pro wrestling and they called it “wrestling”. I enjoyed every match last night and wasn’t bored one bit. Even the pre-show matches and women’s division matches were really good.

Of course, the best matches of the night last night were The Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros., Cody Rhodes vs. Dustin Rhodes and Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega. Those three matches would come down as classics years from now. For a long while now, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega has been creating a lot of buzz in the wrestling community and I can see why. After seeing those guys wrestle last night for the first time, I was blown away. They really are incredibly talented and I’m glad they went to AEW instead of WWE. Speaking of WWE, that company tried to sign The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega but they weren’t interested in working with WWE so they went to AEW instead. Smart move ’cause WWE wouldn’t have used them right anyway, ya know?

Last night had some shocking appearances by Awesome Kong, Bret The Htman Hart and Dean Ambrose (who went under the name of Jon Moxley in AEW). They were big surprises for sure and I never saw them coming.

Some of you may ask is AEW at war with WWE? Oh yes, absolutely they are ’cause before the Cody vs. Dustin match, Cody took out a sledgehammer from under the ring and smashed Triple H’s throne with it at the top of the ramp. That was sending a clear message to Triple H and the McMahon’s so of course they are at war with WWE. Do you see what’s going on here? Fans and the wrestlers themselves want to see “wrestling” make a comeback since we’ve haven’t seen that in a long time. That’s why AEW is here ’cause they want to bring us “wrestling”.

Last night was an exciting show and I thought Tony Khan (owner of AEW) did a great job with “Double or Nothing”. I’m probably gonna continue to watch AEW ’cause I’m a new fan. I’ll probably watch their next ppv and I’ll watch them whenever they get on TNT network on cable TV.

Vince McMahon should take note, though. This is what we all want to see is “wrestling” but Vince doesn’t get it yet. Now that AEW is here, Vince is gonna do all he can to compete with them so I hope Vince is ready. Could AEW take over WWE’s spotlight? Yes, I believe they could. Wrestling fans all over America are getting fed up at the way Vince has been running WWE and now that AEW is here, I can see a lot of them jumping ship.

In the future, I can see even more former WCW and WWE talent getting signed to AEW. I can see more current stars leaving WWE and TNA for AEW. I hope Vince is ready for this.

Will Hulk Hogan ever sign a contract to AEW? Who knows. He’s currently back in contract with WWE but I can see Hulk going to AEW in the future, sure.

AEW is a pretty new company and they got a lot to do ahead of us. They announced the AEW Championship and I’m sure they’ll create more championships in the future. I’m sure they’ll have tag team belts, a belt for the cruiser weights, they’ll have a belt for the women’s division and all that stuff. I’m sure we’re gonna get cage matches soon. All this stuff will be coming. It takes time ’cause they are a new company.

Yeah, AEW is about to take over the world and they are about to change wrestling forever. Time to move over WWE. Still doesn’t mean I’ll give up on WWE, though. I’ll support both AEW and WWE.

Glad I watched it last night!

Kev

Gonna be watching “AEW: Double or Nothing” on ppv tonight… really curious about it so couldn’t resist…

So tonight I’m going to be watching a wrestling ppv on TV called “Double or Nothing”… which is a show hosted by a new wrestling company called All Elite Wrestling (AEW). As you probably heard by now, this company has been sparking a lot of buzz in the wrestling community and very quickly AEW is exploding already in the wrestling world. They are a brand new company and they are already getting popular fast.

Since I’ve been hearing a lot about this company, I’ve been keeping an eye on it ’cause I’m curious about it. I’ve been doing a lot of reading about AEW and I’ve been hearing Chris Jericho talking a lot about it. I’ve also been hearing the AEW owner Tony Khan talk a lot about it. The AEW wrestling company has some former WWE guys and some former WCW talent too. There are also a bunch of other new guys on the roster we’ve never heard before.

Keep in mind that AEW isn’t really an independent wrestling company. They are pretty much a national company who are in competition with WWE. It has been said that AEW is a way different company than WWE. The team behind AEW promises they’ll bring us wrestling which we haven’t seen in a long time. Maybe that’s why AEW is getting popular ’cause AEW gives us wrestling and WWE doesn’t.

The main reason why I’m watching “Double or Nothing” tonight is because of the Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega match which is the one to keep an eye out for. That match could end up being the greatest match in a long time but we’ll see tonight.

I’m also looking forward to seeing the rest of the show to see what AEW is like. Since AEW is not WWE, this is not going to be on the WWE Network… it’s going to be on regular ppv so I bought the “Double or Nothing” wrestling ppv early this morning and I’m going to watch it later tonight.

Yeah, I’m a pro wrestling fanatic and nerd. I don’t just watch WWE only, I try to watch as much pro wrestling as I possibly can ’cause I like supporting it. If tonight’s “Double or Nothing” turns out to be really good then I’ll probably continue to support AEW ’cause AEW is about to get on cable TV real soon.

I love wrestling and I’m not ashamed of it. I’ll review “Double or Nothing” tomorrow. Hope it’s worth the $50. I’m sure it will turn out really good but I’m sure Jericho vs. Omeaga will end up being the best match of the night. Looking forward to the show. ‘

Expecting Chris Jericho to return to WWE soon? Don’t count on it ’cause he just signed with All Elite Wrestling for a full time contract…

WWE fans were wondering if wrestler Chris Jericho would return to the WWE someday. Jericho has been slowing down in WWE lately focusing on other things like performing at wrestling independent events, touring with Fozzy, working on his podcast and all that stuff that he does. Well, hate to break the news that it looks like that Jericho isn’t returning to WWE anytime soon ’cause he just signed a full time contract to All Elite Wrestling which is a brand new independent wrestling company put together by Shahid and Tony Khan.

To be honest, I’m glad Jericho has been staying away from WWE and he should stay away from them. Back when Jericho was on WWE TV, the WWE wasn’t using him right. WWE kept making him lose matches and kept making him look weak. In my opinion, Jericho did the right thing stepping away from WWE for a while ’cause I don’t like the way WWE is right now to be honest with you. Jericho is better off without WWE anyways.

On top of that, I love the stuff that Jericho is doing with independent wrestling like the stuff he’s doing with Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks. All that stuff he’s doing is pretty amazing shit. All these guys are doing stuff that WWE are afraid of.

I am noticing that independent wrestling have exploded in the wrestling scene. Seems to me that indie wrestling is doing better than WWE nowadays. Why is the indie wrestling scene so hot nowadays?  Why are fans turning to indie wrestling than professional wrestling like WWE? The answer is quite simple really…. one word: wrestling. That’s it. Indie wrestling companies give us wrestling when the WWE doesn’t. WWE is all about family entertainment so fans are now flocking to indie wrestling.

Kenny Omega is a pretty huge star in the indie wrestling world and the Young Bucks are getting up there too. I prefer Jericho stay indie ’cause he’s doing well.

I’m a huge Jericho fan, though. I’ve admired the guy for many many years ever since he made his WWE debut in 2000. I like all the stuff he’s doing. As for his band Fozzy goes, I’ve listened to them a little bit but haven’t bought any of their records… planning on it, though. I’m more of a fan of Jericho’s wrestling than his music.

Jericho’s one of the best in the wrestling business. He can play both the good guy and the bad guy quite well. He’s also really good in the ring too. I wish him luck in AEW.
