The Foo Fighters steal the show with the Ice Bucket…

This is the best one yet. The Foo Fighters parody the Stephen King movie, “Carrie”, the Brian Depalma version. Check it out. It’s hilarious. This will give you the LOL’s.

Dave Grohl is no stranger to wearing drag… remember back in his Nirvana days now.

Film Of The Day: Scarface (w/Al Pacino)

Time to do another favorite of mine. I love the movie, “Scarface”, the remake with Al Pacino, as Tony Montana. One of the baddest characters in cinema history. It’s also Brian Depalma’s best film. The story tells a man named, Tony Montana, who is being sent to the United States, after being one of the Cuban refugees after Fidel Castro opened the harbor in Mariel, Cuba. Tony and his friend, Manny worked regular day jobs and then they leave for criminal work. Later on, Tony takes over a drug cartel where he would get rich and make a living off of. Of course, while Tony is living the dream being rich, things go wrong.

This movie is full of hilarious catchphrases. Other than, “Say hello to my little friend”, Tony says way funnier stuff. Plus, the movie is badass. It’s a great action movie. Violent, nasty, and one of Pacino’s best roles. I’ll never get tired of this film. Ever.

Report: Universal planning another “Scarface” movie but it won’t be a remake or sequel…

A lot of people are already calling this a new, “Scarface”, remake but if you carefully read the article, the film that Universal is planning is not intended to be a remake or a sequel.

It’s going to take common elements from the first two films. Tony Montana is still going to be used but details are being kept under wraps for now. This will be a standalone movie.

I’m a huge fan of the “Scarface” films, I love both of them. I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re going to do with it. Will it be violent and will it have profanity throughout the entire movie? Will the new Tony Montana actor top Al Pacino’s performance?

It’s going to be interesting to see who they are planning to cast for Tony.

Report: Stephen King wants Lilo to play the new Carrie…

The new “Carrie” remake has found it’s writer. MGM has hired play writer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to pen the script for the new “Carrie” re-boot. Stephen King himself speaks to Entertainment Weekly about his opinion on the remake.

Stephen says he loves the original “Carrie” movie that was directed by Brian Depalma. He says if they could get Lindsay Lohan to star as the new Carrie White and get either David Lynch or David Cronenberg to direct it, he might like the remake.

Read his statement about the “Carrie” remake, here.

If you think Stephen loves all of his movies that were based on his books, then you are wrong. King is a very honest man. He isn’t afraid to say if one of his movies is really bad and he always hated Kubrick’s version of “The Shining” starring Jack Nicholson.

Another thing, the new “Carrie” remake needs to have a cameo appearance by Sissy Spacek herself. A “Carrie” remake could be good if made right. It needs a good script, good casting, and good directing.

Report: Brian De Palma to helm “The Boston Stranglers”…

Legendary film maker Brian De Palma is set to direct “The Boston Stranglers”, a film based on real life events which is about a serial killer raping and murdering several women, mostly women in their 50’s and up. Everyone of those murders were raped and strangled. It happened in Boston, Mass in the 1960’s. While it was rumuored the murders were aimed at a man named Albert Desalvo who they accused of, the murders were not committed by one person.

Brian Depalma had directed other films such as the iconic “Scarface”, “Stephen King’s Carrie”, “The Untouchables”, “Femme Fatale”, “The Black Dahlia” and others.

Depalma is famed and known for using multiple split screens in his films. He has inspired other film makers to do the same ever since.

I really liked his movie “The Black Dahlia”, so he will do a good job with this one too. I wonder who Depalma is going to pick for Desalvo? Depalma is best at doing dark films.
