Report: No Metallica and Beatles “Guitar Hero” video game just yet, game officials say…

Since the release of “Aerosmith: Guitar Hero” rumours circulated the net that Metallica and the Beatles may each release their own Guitar Hero video game by Activision. Red Octane the game’s publisher denied the rumours although Metallica hinted on their official website that it “might” actually happen.

The Red Octane officials say there are no current plans to do a Metallica and Beatles: Guitar Hero games. They are not ready to comment on Metallica yet. However, the company plans to do a Guitar Hero on other legendary bands such as Led Zeppelin and Ac/DC.

I hope Guitar Hero releases a Led Zeppelin video game, that would be so fuckin’ sweet!

If Activision and Red Octane asks Led Zep, I’m sure Jimmy Page would be game for it. Page is good with Led Zeppelin fans and Pagey would want the opportunity to experiment with a videogame, it’ll give Pagey an opportunity to explore new sounds with Led Zep’s music. Pagey is such a huge sound guy and he’ll probably produce the music on the game too.

While Jimmy Page is known for his guitar playing, he is underrated at his producing skills. He’s one of the most talented and creative producers on this planet.

Report: B.B. King…new album…old sound…

Blues legend B.B. King just finished recording an album with producer T. Bone Burnett titled “One Kind Favor”. On the album, it describes that while all the songs on the record are brand new, the sound on the album is old school oldies 50’s blues style. The sound that B.B. King started back in the day. B.B. King was a little nervous about it because he was worried that he couldn’t bring his old sound into the new but he managed to pull it off greatily.

The article doesn’t say when the album is coming out.

Rollingstone reports:

Report: Sheryl Crow to release Christmas album this year…

Sheryl Crow just finished recording a Christmas album for Hallmark’s record label, she recorded the album with producer Bill Bottrell. Read her interview with Billboard about what she says for the album. She doesn’t say if she writes her own original Christmas music, but it looks like it will be all traditionals.

Billboard reports:

A 60’s and 70’s style Christmas album? Interesting. Sounds like she’s going for an oldies feel with today’s current pop sound.

I’m a fan of Sheryl Crow. She maybe pop music, but she’s one of the very few pop rock artists I enjoy, at least she writes her own music and plays her own instruments. She writes fantastic songs, I dig her.

Report: New Ac/Dc album title is still yet to be decided…

While the boys in Ac/Dc has finished their new album, they are still trying to decide what to title it. They had three different titles in mind. It looks like the name of the new album will be titled “Black Ice” which the band seems to like the most. One of the other titles the band had in mind was “Runaway Train”. I agree, I think “Black Ice” is the perfect title, I like the sound of it. Ac/Dc recorded the album in Canada with producer Brendan O’ Brien. The album will release this year, possibly in October in the fall.

I’m sure Ac/Dc will announce the title and release date on their official website next week! CAN’T WAIT!

The band has signed a deal with Rick Rubin’s label American, the same label that Johnny Cash recorded in. The band is planning to go back to old school ZZ Top in the 80’s during the “La Grange” era.

Billboard reports:

Look like rock is trying to make a comeback to the mainstream. I hope so. I’m sick of pop music taking over mainstream.

ZZ Top rules. They were great back in the old days, hopefully they don’t dissapoint in the new album too. I always respected Billy Gibbons as a guitarist. He’s one of the most unique and underrated guitarist today.

Billboard reports:

I’m happy for him that he’s continuing his solo career. He’s really good at his solo stuff as I really enjoy “One Man Revolution”. He can do it all, he can rock hard on electric and go mellow on acoustic. Looking forward to picking up his new album.

Now that Rage Against the Machine is back with Zach De La Rocha, hopefully the band will go back into the studio for a new album too. A new RATM album has been a long time coming!

Report: Steven Tyler confessed going to rehab for meds addiction…

Steven Tyler confessed that he went to rehab for his addiction with medications. Not for his feet that he was getting surgery on.

Which is good that he admitted to it because there is no such thing of going to rehab to make your feet better, you go to a feet doctor for that. Not a drug rehab.

The Associated Press reports:

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gkfqB1qHWRxwONLq_BMZu82vedwgD91IPGM80

I think he was just trying to save publicity from the Guitar Hero Aerosmith videogame that just came out.

Report: Amy Winehouse punch victim speaks out!!!

The man that was punched in the face by Amy Winehouse at Glastonbury last Saturday night speaks out to the media to clear the air of what really happened. James Gastelow, a young 25 year old London resident told BBC News that the incident was the result of a mistaken identity. He says he never touched her boobs in the front row. A fan behind him threw a hat at the singer, which the hat goes flying and hit her boobs, she thought it was James that touched her boobs but it was the hat.

He says when she felt it, she looks down at him with a pissed off look on her face and she elbowed him as you saw on the video. He says she got him in the forehead, hit him pretty good. What does James say about being hit by Amy Winehouse at a concert?

He seems to enjoy it as a matter of fact, so don’t expect him to press assault charges on her or suing her, he was just happy to see Amy Winehouse live in person.

More on it here:

http://www.nme.com/news/amy-winehouse/37751

Being violently attacked by a famous person must be pretty cool. Would I like it if I get punched by a famous person? Hell yeah! It be like dude, “I just got punced in the head by Amy Winehouse, cooolll…maybe that bruise on my head will worth something one day”.
